321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: September 10, 2017, 02:57:37 PM
For those that say hype and marketing doesn't matter let me say this...

You can have the best product in the world but if nobody is interested in it and nobody it buying it...it will die
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: September 10, 2017, 02:53:51 PM
Can someone ELI5 to me how XVG has such fast confirmation speeds? If it is based on BTC does it just have faster blocktimes or is it larger blocks ?

Also what other than tor what makes this anonymous?

I have looked on reddit and can't seem to find legitimate answers

323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best portfolio tracker site? on: September 10, 2017, 02:06:05 PM
I personally use blockfolio but there are a few google doc's available if you google them.

As far as spying goes.. I would rather blockfolio have that info instead of Google

If you are willing to pay, cointracking will import and track all of your trades and it even has tables, tax liabilities etc
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ICO]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B blockchain communications infrastructure on: September 09, 2017, 08:37:52 PM
has not been moving for a long time
Less than half of ico price
i think scam is a project  Angry
i think because this Long Term project with multi blockvhain same like suretly, soo dev focus for platform not for market
after platform finish price will go up maybe 2018 ett price will go up

Exactly , this is a very long term project. The market right now is focusing on the latest hippest things to come out. OMG for example, just because the price is not being pumped and ETT is not marketing their development means nothing. ETT must wait until they have some finished product before marketing can start. If you bought this thinking the price was going to go 5x in the first year you made a mistake. This is a long, slow play and you should have invested likewise
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO Crashing down to pennies on: September 08, 2017, 01:21:24 PM
China did it again. The Manipulation is insane when it comes to making money.

http://boxmining.com/china-ico-ban-temporary-will-introduce-licensing-soon/

NEO is not an ICO and has been endorsed by the Chinese gov't.

I wouldn't read too much into it. Look at all the scams trying to be released on ETH, I am not for government interference but I don't think this will have much of a negative affect.

You really can't expect to invest in something from China and not have their heavy hand involved
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves future on: September 08, 2017, 01:11:17 PM
Quote
The National Settlement Depository (NSD), the central depository for the Moscow stock exchange, has recently partnered with Waves Platform to develop a potential digital blockchain platform to serve digital assets including cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets

This alone has the possibilities for Waves that is beyond anyone's expectations if it comes to fruition

327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recent IOTA vulnerability on: September 08, 2017, 12:55:50 PM
Most projects have had security flaws. DAO anyone ? How about the report released last year about 80% of Monero transactions prior to 2016 that had the ability to be tracked ?

The DAO was an example of the first smart contract
Monero is based on anonymity
Parity Wallet anyone

The list goes on..

This is par for the course in emerging technology

Scoop em up while you can, the price will recover
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO Crashing down to pennies on: September 07, 2017, 12:14:35 PM
What a rebound. I wish I would have bought a few more on the dip. Now that this hurdle is over I think the future will be bright for NEO, especially since they are in the good graces of the communist country.

Hey guys what's the most active channel or source for current info?

330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why buy WAVES? on: September 06, 2017, 07:54:57 PM
guys who know, what are the upcoming updates expected by the waves? Is there any point in buying now?
I don't know why you are going after WAVES. If you really want to invest in an altcoin, ETH is the best option. However, I personally recommend bitcoins. It gives highest profits in short span of time if compared with other crypto currencies. You don't need to invest in order to earn BTCs. You can join signature campaigns.

I made 10x my money in the last 6 months holding Waves.. How does your BTC holdings compare ?

I already hold ETH, who doesn't.

Bitcoin is only used to buy more alt's
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: September 06, 2017, 07:47:23 PM
I understand the ICO will end in 15 hours? Any clues on when it will be on exhcanges and which ones?

This is a year long ICO. You can already buy them on exchanges. Bitfinex, HitBTC, Kraken, EtherDelta to name a few.

By the way, EOS has been delisted from Jubi, Yunbi and Yuanbao. Maybe not be a big deal, but anyway...

Also NEO took the refund requirement quite seriously: https://neo.org/Blog/Details/64

Will EOS give investors a refund option (especially to those who bought tokens at high prices in the early rounds of ICO)? Grin

Any ideas on Bitfinex ? It is located in Hong Kong but it is unclear which Chinese laws they follow

It is unclear, but there is a statement from Hong Kong regulators that ICO tokens may be classified as securities:

https://www.coindesk.com/hong-kong-regulator-warns-ico-tokens-may-securities/

Looks like Hong Kong companies don't follow mainland China regulators right away, but the Chinese regulator may have some power over Hong Kong one.

Considering that Bitfinex has most of the trading volume this might not fare well for the token in the short term. Hopefully the price can rise enough that I can exit my long position and re-enter again at a lower price point
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves in December! on: September 06, 2017, 05:12:18 PM
Yes I heard that in December there is going to be a launch of the McDonalds token on Waves.

I am willing to be my Hillary for Prison tokens on a big price move from that news
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO Crashing down to pennies on: September 06, 2017, 05:08:46 PM
Looks like it might be time for another rebranding  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Maybe moving to a country that values freedom might work better. Something like Switzerland or the Cayman Islands
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: September 06, 2017, 04:33:06 PM
Dash and Monero have similar marketcaps right now.

I have heard that Monero has better anonymity than Dash with it's masternode setup.

What reasons do you guys suggest to use Dash instead of Monero, from a general user's point of view.

Why is Dash better than Monero if it is at all?

Monero has great anonymity but has some serious scaling issues. You can see the results of that and the large transaction costs just from the increased interest it received last week. It will work good as an anonymous store of value but won't make it as an everyday used of transferring value

336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [OMG] OmiseGO - Speculation & Discussion on: September 06, 2017, 10:56:07 AM
My prediction is that price goes up immediately after airdrop. Its brilliant marketing. The value is so small I doubt it will be worth selling, though a lot will turn their heads to OMG to see what's going on when they notice they have an OMG balance. I predict more buying than selling when FOMO sets in, as it always does.

Even people living under rocks have heard of OMG considering it's remarkable price increase in the past month Smiley Smiley

But it is a great marketing idea.

Does anyone know if the snapshot has been taken yet ?
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China not only bans new local ICOs but orders liquidation of existing ones on: September 06, 2017, 10:43:28 AM
China government are complete idiots. They ban VPN, there are a bunch of decetralized open source VPN projects coming up.

It just doesn't make sense to try to legalize something you can't control.
That's truly dictatorship. The cryptocurrency community may become a threat to chinese government. That's the way comunist rulling the country. No one can be rich without being controlled by the government. I suggest to all developers to move to Singapore. I think Singapore more welcome than other countries. England is good choice too. Are there any countries that support ICOs, What do you think about Australia?

After watching the Kim Dotcom documentary I wouldn't invest in shit that is offered from Australia . They are just a bad as the US in my opinion. Take a minute and watch it if you get the chance. It will open your eyes to the corruption of the largest governments of the world.

And England ? No monitoring of their citizens going on, is there ? /s
338  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: USER MUST DEMAND TO EXCHANGES - Smart Dynamic Withdrawal Fees on: September 04, 2017, 04:48:26 PM
Yes it needs to be addressed for sure. If I am just sending from one exchange to another I will convert to Dash or LTC as the fees are usually much less than BTC.

Will the exchanges do it ? Probably not. They are in the business of making money and this is a good revenue generator for them
339  Economy / Exchanges / Bittrex verification on: September 04, 2017, 02:01:36 PM
So I have had a bittrex account for quite some time and went to make a small withdrawal today. Around .25 BTC and come to find out that they changed their terms of service on AUG 1. If you are not verified you are limited to a daily limit of .025

Why ?

US AML laws are for deposits and withdrawals of $10,000 or more

Get ready for the IRS to include Bittrex in their suit with Coinbase so they can get their cut of your gains. Or else link your Bittrex to your Coinbase and link your wallets
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Does a profitable trading bot exists? on: September 04, 2017, 01:51:32 PM
I would also be very interested in a trading bot for bittrex. Are there any?
I think gunbot just works for poloniex, am  I right?

No gunbot works for Bittrex, Polo, Kraken and Cryptopia. You buy a license for whichever exchange you want. There are used ones for sale which makes no difference because you still get all updates and it is a lifetime license which makes it a great deal. He is also working on adding more exchanges

Find used ones here https://gunthy.org/index.php/board,4.0.html?PHPSESSID=emcqa1239uihpuh0c8v39ti8a2

Be sure to use gunthar as an escrow so you don't get robbed
