2001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any chance Dogecoin will ever reach 1 Doge = 0.10$ ? on: August 03, 2015, 01:15:35 AM
What's the features of dogecoin that could help it to reach to even $0.01 ? really nothing .... so the answer is no unless btc reach to 100 k USD .
It has a logo on a nascar? That is the only thing that I really see it making itself stand out ahead of the pact.

Even an garage on sillicon valley or another place can be enough to start.......

You're not actually comparing Doge to Apple Computer. Are you? Doge is simply a "me too" coin with good PR where Apple is one of the most innovative companies in the world. There is no comparison.

I have mentioned it because make a comparisson beetwen Doge and Logo on a nascar is same thing just now.

Is first time that I see someone mining x11 algo with CPU. I'm surprised. Is it possible?

2004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins mined with CPU on: August 02, 2015, 11:24:41 PM
Any coin that can be mined by CPU is a bad idea, as it's network can be dominated by a massive botnet.

On case of Magicoin hashrate is limited to 250 Kh/s by user but you can to get a thing beetwen 6 or 10 coins for day only.
That doesn't stop a botnet in any form, it just makes the creator make each infected pc mine on a new user that sends the funds to the main person.

Its true, But as far as almost of pools have a legend about "Botnets are not welcome" , And if the operator of pool detected any activity relationated with this like to a big number of accounts created recently, they can cancelled all accounts suspicious.
if it is a successful botnet it will have the hashrate to be its own pool, no need for others.

Even so devs of coins can get to ban nodes  suspicious  if they want of the same way that they banned an node when they dont update an compulsory release.
Were obviously playing a game of cat and mouse and it is getting ridiculous, you're telling me that magicoin is botnet proof due to the limit on cpu, but also because most pools have a sentence in their legend or that the devs are going to be watching nodes? This seems pretty damn far fetched, has there been one instance of Magicoin baning any nodes?
Really I don't know if they have banned any but nor can we say that a botnet has done mining on Magicoin. I only say on theory that can be prevent an exccesive mining of a massive botnet over any coin. Obviously the botnet will get some coins until this be detected.

The same thing said some BTC holders at first, They sold early and you know the rest.  Smiley

but there is motherload of difference between quantity of bitcoins and dogecoins

The same that gold and fiat.  Wink

I'm mining CryptoNight altcoins (Bytecoin and Monero). Im getting about 400 Hash/s with a R9 270. And 200 Hash/s with my CPU FX-6300.

So how many coins do you get on a day?

There might be a chance but it will be very low probability.
If Dogecoin can be well known as bitcoin as much, they might be happen the problem is "when"

about 40 year

hmm.... maybe more

Who knows if there's a possibility of a hard fork on future, Anyway on five years the course will be clearer.

2019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The legends of bitcointalk should make our own altcoin together, thoughts? on: August 02, 2015, 04:43:56 AM
"Dead" coins can be extremely lucrative. I made probably at least half my bitcoins simply by CPU-mining BBQcoin for a year or so while it was out of the public eye then selling it before it got on an exchange to people who wanted to revive it and get it onto an exchange. So I didn't even have to wait for it to get (back?) onto an exchange in order to rake in hundreds of bitcoins for a year of devoting one CPU-core to it.

So yeah there are fortunes to be made on coins so "dead" that you don't even need a GPU to mine them. Devote a CPU core each to them while preparing a shiny new version, hopefully with merged mining as a subchain included so that, unlike BBQcoin, it need not die again as soon as it comes back into the public eye due to rape and pillage miners who perforce have to jump from coin to coin because coins are so seldom able to all be mined at once with merged mining; and wait for some idiot to come along with a GPU driving the electricity costs up for everyone by needlessly driving the difficulty up instead of quietly mining with just a CPU core like everyone else; at that point go public with the shiny new version, having hopefully accumulated far far more coins than the idiot who prematurely unleashed a GPU on it will make now that (s)he "forced" you to go public so (s)he now has to compete with gosh knows how many other GPU-miners or even ASIC-miners instead of co-operating quielty with the CPU-mining/dev team...

EDIT: Lolcust IS Art? Wow I didn't know that. Lolcust always gave the impression of not being any kind of coder type at all.

Good history, The curious about BBQcoin that if I remember correctly it currency was done originally thinking  to dont be traded or to be mined only as fun. Smiley

Not sure if this is a dead coin but I have always liked ARG.

Argentum the sister of digitalcoin, Well with just 3.6K on marketcap it is only traded on Cryptsy. What of especial do have it?
