2001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this help you win when you're gambling? on: February 27, 2023, 05:26:24 AM
This is really my mindset when I gamble. I usually say to myself that this is for fun so that I could win, and I don't know what the explanations are, but it really attracts winnings to me. It is like buying tickets in the lottery; most of the people I know will really be claiming already that they will win, which is the opposite for me, as it would hurt me a lot if I lost, as I've not expected, and if I win, then that's the bonus of it. Though probably to others it may not work, for me, from what I've observed, it is working.
2002  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you like commission job or salary base job? on: February 27, 2023, 04:36:20 AM
First, it's great that you're supporting your friend during their tough time. Commission jobs can definitely be challenging, but they also have their advantages. For commission workers, a pay check stub maker program can be beneficial to keep track of their income and make sure they are being paid what is owed. As for salary-based jobs, they're reliable but can lead to laziness and lack of creativity. Either way, it's about finding the job that works for you and your lifestyle. Keep being a good friend and supporting your buddy.
there comes a time in the life of everyone when you disapprove the rules of your life and do what you have not planned and never wanted to do it.
I never liked the idea of commissioned based life - but I am doing it. After being laid off from my job. I had no choice whatsoever.

If the door closes on you, there will be another opportunity that is bigger than before. I don't know why you don't like it, but if you get a grasp on it, you'll learn that it was better in your past job. Try to love your commission job; if it won't work, then you need to find one. I've also been laid off from job to job, but I came across a job that is better than before, even though I didn't like it at first, but over time I've loved it, though it's been stressful. I hope you will love your job or that you can find the most suitable job for you.
2003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is no way to know unless I ask on: February 27, 2023, 03:46:58 AM
I don't see any insurance for bitcoin, and I think this also works like you are giving them your private key, which is not safe even if they are reputable. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but how do those insurances then work since most of the reasons why we've lost our bitcoin are getting hacked, getting scammed, or we've lost our key, which means it's our fault, and that also means that it won't cover the insurance unless it accidentally happens? Though I haven't heard one, I am also interested in these things, as the goal is to keep our money safe.
2004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I gave investment advice to my grandfather. on: February 27, 2023, 02:51:19 AM
if you are in good faith for this advise then I see no reason why  you will need to ask these questions .

what I was thinking is that "Are you an Investor your own"? if not then this maybe a mistake because if ever this ends wrong then only your Grandfather is the loser here. and that will make you feel the guilt .

I don't see any reason why you should give advice to someone if you haven't experienced it or known it. You can't give advice if you are not an investor yourself because you don't know how it works. Once you tell the person, for sure, he will ask you more questions about it.

For sure, his grandfather will get curious about it and spend some money on it to try it. I just hope that he will not go all in on it as it is very risky and he is already old.
2005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: February 26, 2023, 02:54:16 PM
I think it's because more profits. I got 200 Solana from airdrop. After 6 months SOL price was near 200$ somehow. So basically I got 40000$ easily. but I sold it when it's around 80-85$. As my experience alts are good for make short term profits. But it's too risky.

If you hold it longer, you will make a massive profit. Mostly, this is the reason why they like altcoins. If you get lucky and invest in the right coin, you'll get a lot of profit in just a couple of months. It is more risky with a higher return. Also, most of the project won't last a few years as developers and owners will abandon it or it will just die. Altcoin also has a lot of scams, which are more risky, so you need to check the background of the owner and team behind it.
2006  Economy / Economics / Re: To cut financial ties with original family benefits you in the long run on: February 26, 2023, 01:36:52 PM
Asking for help from parents when the need arises is normal. But staying financially dependent on them even in adulthood is simply irresponsible. The parents could also take part of the blame. Some parents cannot take it that their adult children are having a hard time. They willingly continue to support them. As a result, their children's behavior is reinforced. Parents instantly coming to their children's aid all the time may sound good, but it could also be dangerous as their children might not grow independent. They might not be able to try find ways to survive.
It’s normal for parents to extend help to their children whenever they see them hardly surviving, but taking advantage of their help would not be good at all. Instead, these children only end up still very dependent to their parents, not thinking that any time of the day their parents will be gone so they should have to start being independent by now and have their own source of income so they can provide for their family, with or without the help from parents or other people.
Well, parents will do everything just to make us live life at its best. But the moment we enter into marriage and build our own family, then we should refrain too from asking assistance from our parents because if we keep on doing that, we will not learn to stand on our own feet and strive hard so we can be good providers to our children. Parents will never stop from helping us if we keep on asking them for help, but for us to be more mature and responsible adults, then we should let them enjoy their lives first without making them obliged for our own family needs.

That is why I salute those people who are not coming from a privileged family like they stand on their own two feet without inheriting the wealth of their parents. I respect those people who got into marriage without any financial support from their parents in their wedding, as most of my friends and what I saw online that they got married but were supported financially by their parents. Though it doesn't mean that we now refrain from asking for help from our parents, we do so only in emergencies and don't rely on them.
2007  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and education on: February 26, 2023, 12:18:45 PM
If you have education, you have more opportunities than without, but if you don't have determination and are lazy, you won't find one. I haven't finished my education, but I would say I am in a good job right now, though it is stressful. Still, it's good compared to my batchmates before, who still don't have jobs and are living with their parents. You should make an effort, whether you have a degree or not, since if you don't work on your own, it won't come to you. If you can have a degree, then have it, but if your parents are struggling with your education, then it would be best to help them.
2008  Economy / Gambling / Re: This is madness. Something super more than DeepSum on: February 26, 2023, 10:13:59 AM

It is strange but there are lots of men, who ready to buy such "products". I have 2 friends, they are long enough in cryptocurrencies and the same time knows a lot about cheating. But they are ready to buy strange "scripts" because they are cheap and it is not a problem to spend such a sum. They even don`t think that they can lose much more money using this script.
Strang indeed seeing folk ready to go that far to risk money on worthless scripts, any ways the money came from rewards of they cheating on the casino who's the scripts are used on.

If we are talking about profit, then people will do anything even believing a street gossiper's prediction.  So it is not a surprise that some people will fall into a trap of buying a useless script or whatsoever.

-But what I am certain of is that the scripts won't work for long before it gets caught by the casino., I have been looking out to see if the ops will make some more updates or make responses to comments here but I have not seen any replies from ops.

Probably because he felt that it is not worth replying to anymore since the majority of the reply busted his plan of selling a script and refuting the profitability of the script.

People who spend too much on purchasing useless scripts are those who want to make a profit without exerting the effort of exploring an effective strategy to win. We all want to make a profit but we don't have to do desperate moves. If casinos would catch us doing such a thing, we might only put our funds at risk so we have to be careful. There are plenty of ways to enjoy gambling without using scripts and we will only face consequences in the future if we will continue to cheat.

and a gambler who uses the script will say how he got banned, but he knows that he is using it. They are just putting their accounts in danger. Usually, when they withdraw, their money gets held because of third-party scripts they've used. If it is already prohibited on the platform, we shouldn't use it. I know bots can ease our lives and sometimes exploit things, as I've been using them in my daily life for my work, but they should have been used for good.
2009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reasons for holding bitcoins? on: February 26, 2023, 09:03:20 AM
I believe investing in bitcoin will make me rich, especially now that there is a 4 year cycle that convinces me to take that opportunity, there are many alternatives that I buy for investment other than bitcoin

There is no one opposing your plans and views because anyone is really hoping this will happen to us someday if our prediction is successful, as long as you know the risk of it and are not thinking one-sided only because thinking one-sided only and blindly checking the risk will be the reason you lose a lot of money since for sure you'll go all in because you are 100% sure and it turns out it fails, then you'll end up living in the streets. Invest what you can afford to lose
2010  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: February 26, 2023, 08:03:15 AM
Also, the fact that the man is willing to bet that kind of amount for huge odds, he might have already success in doing that and the winning rate is pretty high.
That's possible. Maybe this strategy is effective for him before the unfortunate thing happened. But if this person is really well-off then I think this incident is not a great loss for him since he can risk such amount without hesitation for small profit.

For sure, he is a rich person since there are only two of them. It is a rich person and an addicted person, so probably I will stick with the rich one as he bets on it easily, and I think it is pretty normal for him to bet those amounts. Normal people can't bet that much. I myself think that's huge and hard to earn by working. Even when I was just starting out in gambling, I thought this was the best strategy to avoid losses, but it was the opposite; you'd lose big.
2011  Other / Off-topic / Re: You will forever be missed on: February 26, 2023, 06:37:02 AM
I just remembered my grandmother also; it has been 5 years, and still it hurts a lot. As time goes by, you will learn to accept it, like it really feels like pain, but you can accept it now. I know you've been through a lot right now, but your father wouldn't want to see you struggling. Keep visiting him at the cemetery, do everything you want, and earn more bitcoin than your father wants. Wherever he is right now, he is sure proud of you!
2012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first pizza purchase using Bitcoin in lightning network on: February 26, 2023, 05:09:01 AM
I'm craving pizza now, and I tried to search for any pizza store that accepts bitcoin, but I couldn't find one. That is pretty cool now that it is easy to buy pizza in your place. For sure, a lot of shops there accept bitcoin as payment, but mostly they are using the traditional one and not the lightning network, which is why it has a high fee. You know the pizza for sure tastes better as you paid for it with bitcoin. I hope there will be a pizza shop that accepts bitcoin as payment so that I can also experience buying it using bitcoin.
2013  Economy / Economics / Re: Cheap food: can you beat this price in your country? on: February 26, 2023, 03:55:46 AM
Just found a restaurant where the individual meal costs only 0,57$! Meal composed by rice, toasted cassava flour and black bean stew with few pieces of pork meats. Feeds one person decently and the taste is good. You can eat the whole month for less than 35$, considering lunch and dinner daily! That is perfect for cutting expenses with food!

Do you know any restaurants which serve cheaper meals than that where you live? It must be a meal, not snacks.
I do not think this price is beatable. It is sounding it is a free meal for people. How do they make profits? How much do they buy food items? Do they also pay rent such as housing and electricity. Then what is the hygienic status of the meal and finally which country does this happen if I can relocate.

They are still able to earn profit for those food owners as they bulk buy those foods to save money and add other ingredients, though let's not say that the surroundings they made are like made of cement or steel. Those people who sell this are also people who want to survive on a daily basis, so they really don't have nice houses. Some will be hygienic, some will say you'll find a hair in the food or something like that. But you can't complain as the price is low, and what would you expect? That is why others are finding those vendors that are hygienic.
2014  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: February 26, 2023, 02:54:48 AM
Being self reliant to grow vegetables is the best to cut the food cost. Almost every vegetable and fruits required can be grown in home. These days we've got more and more ways available to grow. Something like rooftop garden and different other concepts. Maybe it'll cost initially to set it up, then onwards based on our choice we can grow the required vegetables to meet our daily needs. It cuts the food cost as well as helps in consuming good food as most of the vegetables are grown only with pesticides.

Lucky on us that we have still free area in backyard that you cam garden for vegetables. It really saves you a lot and its free and you are sure that it is fresh and doesn't have insecticide sprayed on it as most we buy have one and its dangerous. To those who dont have space it is nice to do vertical farming as you can still grow vegetables on it . You can save on this than buying it
2015  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency are spreading out now in our country nationwide on: February 25, 2023, 02:25:03 PM
For sure, you are from the Philippines. This is the first time I've heard this, and I would say most pawnshops can now accept bitcoin as payment, but I haven't tried it. Also, when we say tambunting, the Palawan Pawnshop will now accept crypto if we need to pawn jewelry or if we send money? Though it is not that famous, unlike Coins.ph, which is widely used by us, but only a couple of merchants accept it. But it is really great news for us that we are now getting into crypto, as you know that Bitcoin was shown in the media as a scam lol.
2016  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and Front running!!!! on: February 25, 2023, 01:17:36 PM
Just imagine an "insider" you mean that will tell you that their coin will reach $1 which you need to bought it now since the price is $0.10 would you buy it now ? Is it scammy right ? What if those person was just paid for marketing purposes. I dont know how reliable is your information but there is no insider it is just a matter of good project that people interested on it. Unless they are kind of whales to control the price but base on your thread it is a new coin lunching
2017  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎉BetFury Affiliate Program is live| 💸Earn with RevShare up to 60% on: February 25, 2023, 12:28:40 PM

yeah different perspectives and intentions, your argument is true, if a gambler is just aiming to have some fun using their spare money they are just going to deposit and they will not mind about any deposit bonuses, while for those who are regular and heavy gamers they will take advantages of casino offers regarding to VIP's.

They will aim for that to achieve those additional perks that the house is offering and make a good use of it while using the house platform/services.

I am a regular gambler, my goal is really having fun and getting the excitement when placing (small) bets. I always look when a site offers a deposit bonus, but most of the times the requirements are pretty high and than I let it pass by. Their are some exceptions as they are sites that have a different system to unlock the bonus and than it becomes interesting.

Bonuses are mostly for those who are heavy gamblers, like betting a lot, because most of the bonuses for existing gamblers are rare and there are requirements to reach, like bet with 0.1 BTC to qualify. That is why most bonuses are only for new users, as it is their marketing to attract customers. Though mostly raffles are implemented so that old customers can join and have a chance to win huge if they get lucky, again, it is for marketing purposes. Gambling is a business, so they still need to earn profit before giving it back to their customers.
2018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there age limits to Bitcoin investment? on: February 25, 2023, 10:29:10 AM
I say something, if there are no age limits for a child to enter and have a beer in a bar, why should there be age restrictions? something that generates a lot of money is something that doesn't have to have any problem, since I was a child I always tried to save money, why can't children save in bitcoin? That would make them a great future, they wouldn't have to worry about anything because they would have how to buy everything, that's worth it, there shouldn't be any type of restriction, I base it on my case when I was a child.

There restrictions but not implemented. I would say no one is stopping minors to go to bar same with bitcoin no one is stopping even you are very young to buy or invest in bitcoin as long as you know what you are doing. Also bitcoin was made as a payment method and also now as an investment unless you are just buying bitcoin just to gamble but again no one is stopping you. It is best if those young people who got interested in financial aspects would try to know bitcoin to fulfill their curiousity
2019  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you have any financial regrets ? on: February 25, 2023, 09:19:30 AM
I will not be surprised if anyone here in the forum says not to buy bitcoin, as you can imagine you could buy a lot before if you just knew that the price would be huge. Even I, who just discovered bitcoin in 2016, regret not buying a lot at that time as I was just scared and not taking a risk. If we have any regrets, we should learn from them and not do them again.
2020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $300 bet won $417,000 on: February 25, 2023, 07:33:26 AM
Are you still gambling right now? or do you quit? You must be a millionaire now, big time. That is a really huge win, mate, which triggers me to bet right now. But how did you spend it? Are you still using it, or is it now gone? or have you established a business? Because I noticed that every time I win a bet, I tend to feel that the money is easily gone, like it would be easy to spend unlike our salary that is hard earned. It is like you just spend it and then it is gone.
