Hopefully they will catch these scamers.

Payments still on time I would love one day if someone actually meets the owners. And not via email.

Some people met with John already, last month during the Bitcoin event in Amsterdam. I think it was even mentioned here in this thread, if I am not mistaken.

I was not aware of that if this is true it is a good sign. Can anyone vouch for this?

On another note looks like btc-arbs stole everyones money.

Long time lurker and hodler, first time poster.

I just bought a small amount of btc to purchase a product without dipping into my larger storage. By the time the btc got from the exchange to the market wallet, my btc were no longer valuable enough to purchase the product I desired.

Can someone remind me why btc is master currency?

We wouldn't have this problem if venders would just keep the bitcoins and not exchange them to cash but I guess they have to pay there bills to.

2031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SLR] SolarCoin - PoW reward for solar energy | the GREEN KING of Crypto on: April 19, 2014, 09:44:51 PM
If this thing takes off I can imagine there will be all kinds of fraud in people trying to claim coins without actually having solar pannels. Fake docs etc if the price does go to 30 we would need a team to go and verify claims .

Nick talked about this in a previous post.

"Consensus has shifted from SREC to verified meter readings which work globally and support APIs and potential for automation of granting process. Here is the first grant example http://solarcoin.org/first-us-solarcoin-grant-given-to-solarcity-customer-in-arizona/ used a verfiable meter reading link from SolarCity. As time progresses the quality and integrity of claims will increase to prevent fraud while increasing transparency.  There is a lot of work to do.  Australia, US, Germany and Italy are all in Early stages with other countries to follow and publicly visible database of grants tied to blockchain messages."

The potential is there for Solarcoin to implement Etherium to help this process.

Thank you. I wonder is Nick mining solarcoins? He must have a nice rig setup.

2. Because there are people who want to bring us down.  All I will add to that is big players in their earliest stages need to be careful what pool they mine in.  We don't have any reason to do anything differently than what we're doing.  No matter what anyone thinks they know, there is risk when you are in our shoes.

I am not trolling in any way. I am just curious about this on a technical standpoint. Let's say that you are mining on a pool and you disclose which hardware you use and which pool you are using. How can this affect your security? The pool will pay a BTC address, which is anonymous per se. The pool may log your IP but you can protect yourself behind a VPN. How can people damage you?

Again, I am just interested in the technicalities behind this. I have invested in PBMining and I will continue investing.

+1

Any one figure out why they use a coin mixing service?

For payments.  And if the answer is security how can a bitcoin address that u mined to be a security risk

1. It's not a dedicated mixing service.  The coins do get mixed though, yes.
2. Because there are people who want to bring us down.  All I will add to that is big players in their earliest stages need to be careful what pool they mine in.  We don't have any reason to do anything differently than what we're doing.  No matter what anyone thinks they know, there is risk when you are in our shoes.

I shouldn't need to go into details again because this has been discussed, and arguing why we should stick to our methods will be a never ending battle.  Smiley  Our priority is to protect this operation and to protect the customers.  Simple as that.

Thank you for fast reply.
