2061  Economy / Services / Re: [Crypto-Games.net] ★Signature Campaign★ | Best Rates | Senior - Legendary[CLOSE] on: December 11, 2016, 04:17:52 PM
i think if signature campaign still run,
if title thread must edit full not close, if close is mean campaign is end
I think our participants and we both know what it means, and our payments are rolling out every week on the point, so nobody should be worried about how some third party understands the thread title.
@Decoded: Spam all you want, posts in this thread are excluded Smiley
2062  Other / Meta / Re: If theymos dies ? on: December 11, 2016, 02:32:01 PM
but I suppose only theymos have control on the domain , host and everything else. Same question should apply for Sirius (who I suppose controls Bitcoin.org).
IIRC Sirius also owns bitcointalk.org (the domain), not theymos. That atleast was the case last time this was discussed.
Sirius owns the domain.

2063  Other / Meta / Re: [SMAS] Signature Managers against Spam (light version) on: December 11, 2016, 01:22:09 AM
Spam is a problem, I get it, let's do something to fix the problem, but let's not throw out the baby with the bath water.  I think we're a smart group of people, and I believe that we can put our minds together to come up with a solution which is not only effective, but also fair.
Go out and do it. I dare you.
But until you have done so, please don't cry about those that are actually doing something, right now. Because you are not.
2064  Other / Meta / Re: [SMAS] Signature Managers against Spam (light version) on: December 10, 2016, 01:08:11 PM
A user enrolled in the FortuneJack signature campaign, hence out of the reach of SMAS. FortuneJack neither employs a dedicated signature campaign manager (at least none I know of/publicly recognized), and I'm not sure if their campaign is ran automated (which would most likely mean posts not being read in any way before them paying for those).

Can't a mod or someone tell the campaign manager to control their campaigners and tell them to quit spamming?
You can report the user/campaign to hilariousandco (reference: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1684035.0) or to Cyrus, and check if the situation is enough for giving a warning to the advertiser.
2065  Other / Meta / Re: Purpose of this forum : creating knowledge resources or spreading bitcoins ? on: December 10, 2016, 12:48:01 PM
Please listen to consensus (especially for treating non-English speakers and non-technical people accordingly)
That would mean just because there are more shitposters and sig-spammers than users who want to fight that problem, we would not be allowed to do anything about it.

But I just started this topic just to ensure whether we are traveling in a right path as per founder's wish.
theymos as head admin is on the helm of this, and while there are a few things one could criticize about their actions, this recent (and upcoming) initiative against (signature) spam is none of it.
Bitcointalk wasn't created so that people who don't give a single fuck about bitcoin itself can make their income from posting bullshit.
2066  Other / Meta / Re: Purpose of this forum : creating knowledge resources or spreading bitcoins ? on: December 10, 2016, 10:08:55 AM
Don't tell me lutpin does not have alts, quickseller was lutpin part 1 until he was busted.
That's good. I almost spilled my morning coffee.

I think people like lutpin and others are doing a good job to overcome scam but their services like SMAS and others are totally brutal and biased.
First off, SMAS is not a service, we're not "selling" SMAS, we're not actively offering SMAS to others (although they are free to adapt to our lists).
SMAS is an initiative, and in no way brutal. Cutting off your earning options when you are shit-posting is what you should expect.
SMAS doesn't prohibit you from posting/participating/being a part of the bitcoin community, it only removes your financial incentive to spam, as you have shown previously you can't handle it.

Frankly guys if the forum continues like this then a day will come when only lutpin and a few others will be here and earning all the potential money with their alts.
Neither I, nor my alt account, are currently enrolled in any signature campaign. my alt never was, and I only recently joined ACE (when I was a hero member), before I wasn't ever paid for my signature either.
Stop the baseless accusations, if you got no leg to stand on.

So if we catch them fine, but until then they keep earning themselves via alts while denying some innocent people.
Blablabla, conspiracy, blablabla, calumny, blablabla.

I think its totally wrong and just because he is in DT don't support him, remember he is in DT because we support him.
Nope. I'm in DT because of Blazed (and partly due to Shorena), and only because of that. Your support has nothing to do with that.

I have nothing personally with him or her but all such people who want to earn with signature camps alone with their alts while denying others by services like SMAS.
You have nothing against me, but you're prune to calumny, gossip and making assumptions that reflect badly on me without having one iota of proof for it.
Sounds reasonable.

if that is what you are suggesting with the above description.
Nowhere in my post do I claim to have a history on this forum going further back than my registration date. I did some lurking back in 2014, but that's doing nothing to the discussion.
I do have another account (it's not hard to find, I even marked it and listed it in the known alts), but that's not connected with this in any given way.
As for forum policy, you can have as many accounts as you like. Not that this is something I would support/encourage, but it's how things currently are.
2070  Other / Meta / Re: [SMAS] Signature Managers against Spam (light version) on: December 08, 2016, 06:07:21 PM
maybe you guys should read the known alts of anyone thread more often.
It's still off-topic. I don't want to move this into a self-moderated thread in the reputation board as I find meta more fitting for it, but you guys are giving me a hard time about it.
How about you discuss matters related to single accounts in Reputation, have your fights there, and we continue discussing the topic here, SMAS, our lists, fighting spam and general discussion about post quality on this forum.

(Fun fact: I was managing the first known alts thread and lauda is OP of the current fork that is being updated now. We do read it.)
2071  Other / Meta / Re: Is it allowed to threaten someone to shoot in real world? on: December 08, 2016, 10:32:15 AM
Certainly not. okbaby123 and girlbtc.com are now banned.
There's another alt account of them, www.girlbtc.com[1] (for reference: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1665898.0).

I also suspect brutosBTC[2] to be controlled by the same user (or at least connected to them), but I couldn't find sufficient proof for that yet.

I am willing to enroll in your campaign and I am looking forward to work with you.
This campaign has ended, it's over and we don't enroll any more users.

Lock the thread, move it to archival, start a new one that is self-moderated.

I highly doubt any mods will bother doing anything about your case
Mods don't change threads to self-moderated when there are already posts in those threads.
If you post in a self-moderated thread, there is a clear warning on top and you know OP can remove your posts.
If a thread would get self-moderated at a later point, early posters wouldn't know about this, hence the policy.
2075  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Legendary User str4wm4n is a scammer. Scammed me 0.86 BTC on: December 08, 2016, 09:27:45 AM
~snip research~
Thanks for looking into it. A few points:
- I've contacted Anduck immediately after zepher posted this thread, they are pretty sure the account changed hands based on recent posts/language.
- The original owner isn't hard to locate (we got a good idea where he is) and str4wm4n isn't the most generic nick either, especially when used several times on different sites/boards.
- If this account was indeed either hacked or bought, it was probably for a long time now and the user waited an unusual time for their "exit scam".

Stop smoking crack.

You didn't delete a bunch of old posts/had some old posts deleted by mods recently?
You could have theoretically reached 900 activity based on your registration date,
however there's a big posting gap between June 2014 and February 2015 on your account.

Hello Admin please help me I have problem I can not cash out my Btc. Because It's need to confirm my email and I lost it today I was deposit alot please help me
That's not really something you should discuss in a public thread.
If you need support, as I suggested to you in chat already, contact the support team either via the mail address or via our helpdesk.
If you lost access to your mail, provide sufficient proof that you are the original owner of the account, else we can't allow you to withdraw coins from it.
2079  Other / Meta / Re: how to tidy my own thread? on: December 07, 2016, 10:07:51 AM
Hi, I have a thread in Gambling sub-forum and I'd like to delete old posts that don't make any sense now given how our website has changed.
That's fitting for most threads that run over a long course of time (for example, I doubt the first repiles in the Primedice thread have any relevance today).
Usually, that shouldn't disturb, but that's your decision.

Apparently this is called "self moderation"? However I don't see any option to delete posts other than my own or any way to change the options for the thread itself.
You can only start a self-moderated thread from the beginning, there's no option to make it self-moderated later.

Do I ask mods to delete the thread then create a new one? (Making multiple threads is a Bad Thing)
Lock your thread, move it to Archival. Start a new one that is self-moderated.
