BCC - Hard fork preparations

In order to get your BCC, you need to set a BCC address for your account, you can do this starting right now. To set your BCC address, visit Your Account -> Settings -> BCC address on the far right. Make sure you save the address and double check it is correct. We suggest using addresses you control the private key to, but an exchange address works too.
Since there have been quite a few questions about what wallet to use and where to get a BCC/BCH address, here's a few things to consider:

- Any wallet/address where you can access and export the private keys works, as you can later import them into a BCC client
- Ideally, you'd create a new address/use an empty address to direct your BCC towards, in order to mitigate risks and avoid losing any BTC while claiming your BCC
- Currently available wallets are eg BitcoinABC (full client), BitcoinUnlimited (full client) or Coinomi (light client, not fully confirmed yet).
- If you do not want to install any BCC software, BTC.com will support the fork with their online wallet
- Users who want to directly claim their BCC to an exchange have up to 12 days to wait for their prefered exchange to list the fork and get a deposit address there to provide to CG

Any more questions? Ask right away.

Disclaimer: Personal opinions only. This is just an informative post, do your own research about software you're going to install, and services you're sending funds to.
I don't take any responsibility for lost funds due to the usage of software/sites mentioned above.

Where's the trolls telling us it would come back now?
What about the trollbox mod who had direct contact and assured everyone it would be running again in a few weeks.

That's just a list of places to dump, nowhere to actually use/spend it.
1186  Economy / Services / Re: [Crypto-Games.net] ★ Signature Campaign ★ Senior - Legendary[FULL] ★ on: July 29, 2017, 10:35:57 AM
How long are you guys going to keep this campaign running?
As long as signature campaigns are allowed and we see positive results from running one.

Since you're not accepting new applicants anymore.
That's because we're focused on different goals, instead of the commonly run short, big campaign with lower rates,
we've set up a small, long running campaign with a few quality posters.
As long as we are pleased with the results and so are the participants, there's no need to replace anyone.

Must be one of the longest running signature campaigns by now
With BitMixer closed down now, it certainly is, if not even the longest running one.
1187  Other / Meta / Re: Required Minimum Post of a Signature Campaign should not allow too! on: July 28, 2017, 05:07:34 PM
In a fixed campaign, users reach a number of posts and get paid a fixed amount per time.
In a pay per post campaign, users can earn more the more they post.
Why do you think fixed campaigns are a problem, but pay per post ones are not?

Signature spam is a problem of users and managers, not one of the payment scheme used by the campaign.
1188  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★Crypto-Games.net ★ 9 coins ★ 7 games ★ Since 2014 ★ New - Litecoin lottery! on: July 28, 2017, 04:16:45 PM
Glad crypto-games is handling this situation better than many online wallets and this is what everyone expected from one of the most trusted crypto gambling site. But still we can see a huge panic withdrawal from the bankroll.
While nobody should have to worry about keeping their funds on CryptoGames during the fork, having your coins in addresses you control the private keys to is the better option.
Someone who eg wants to sell their BCC as soon as possible might prefer to handle things themselves and not be subject to the dirstibution speed of CG.
On the other hand, it's a very comfortable way. Keeping your funds on CG means you can get BCC on an exchange account without having to install a BCC client and import keys there,
as CG is taking care of all those thing. I think that's a good way, especially for those who are new to bitcoin or just not as versed technologically as the average bitcoiner.
Since you are advising investors to divest their coins and send them to their own wallets it would be a nice move to make it possible to divest without fees just for once.
Just for reference: My posts reflect my own, personal opinions and those only.
Unless stated otherwise, they do not represent CG or any other person/company/service.
That being said, the divest fee is properly communicated before you invest, is only a very small fee and I don't see any reason to adjust the rules "just for once".
1189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex.com wallet issues with LTC. on: July 28, 2017, 11:09:28 AM
Look like serious problem with SEGWIT again.
IIRC polo doesn't even use SegWit addresses on LTC.

Here's OP against LTC: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2009251.msg20443022#msg20443022
He really doesn't like LTC: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2045453.msg20377032#msg20377032
And here's OP spreading misinformation about SegWit: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2050759.msg20435357#msg20435357
Same as here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1942832.msg20429855#msg20429855

Somebody's got a little agenda to push, eh?
1190  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 27-Jul-2017] on: July 28, 2017, 10:21:23 AM
Regarding Betcoin.ag:
Is this how a signature campaign ends?
We do not get paid for the last month and then they shut down their thread and disappear from the signature campaign list?
I guess that is the risk of joining such an endeavor, but did not receive any kind of notice that the betcoin.ag campaign was going to be discontinued or that we were not getting paid for our July posts.
This is an informative thread collecting and listing signature campaigns, the ones in charge are still the runners and managers of the regarding campaigns.
That being said, Betcoin.AG had the red warning asterisk, and it wasn't recommended to join the campaign.
If their thread stays closed/you are not going to be paid for this month, you should start a scam accusation against their site/service.
1191  Local / India / Re: Any Views On New Emerging Bitcoin Cash (BCH) !!!!! on: July 28, 2017, 10:10:52 AM
Bitcoin Cash is abbreviated as BCC, not BCH.
BCH is used by a few people too,
eg Kraken (possibly to avoid confusion with BCC/Bitcoinconnect, although they are known to use alternative tickers like XBT).
1192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Support for Bitcoin Cash - Exchanges says NO on: July 28, 2017, 09:37:18 AM
Do you have the official announcement link from kraken? Found some mentions on blogs but cant find the official notice from kraken.
Their blog should be official enough - http://blog.kraken.com/post/1150/bitcoin-cash-and-a-critical-alert-for-bitcoin-margin-traders/
1193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Support for Bitcoin Cash - Exchanges says NO on: July 28, 2017, 09:08:20 AM
Not an exchange, but still a bitcoin service, and since people store funds there, of some relevance:

1194  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fun CryptoGames - cryptogames.io | Play games and earn bitcoins | Provably Fair on: July 28, 2017, 07:26:49 AM
and taht is exactly what happened .... they use multiple hash from the server .. and match the losign one wiht your hash
Just for reference, you say they create multiple server seeds with the same hash?
If there indeed are SHA2 hash collisions, dice sites are the least of our worries.
So far, nobody was able to even find a single one, yet alone in a matter of time viable for provably fair systems.

Europool here.

"Over a period of more than 20 years, Euro Pool Group has developed into the largest logistics service provider of reusable standard packaging in Europe."

If you're trying to troll as EuroPol, at least write the name correctly.

How long might the distribution of BCC from CG take? I know this highly dependents on the events on 1. august but just in case of a split do you think you will need several days/weeks or would you guess you can manage the distribution in a fast pace?
It's certainly going to take a few days, which I would still consider as fast.
There's a decent amount of users to serve, which means an extra workload for a (rather) small team, besides running tasks and obligations.
Keep in mind that the process is semi-automated at best and the first priority is not speed, but security.
Doing this correctly without any mistakes takes it time, but as everyone knows, haste makes waste.
1197  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ 777Coin Signature Campaign ★☆★ (Jr-Hero Accepted) on: July 27, 2017, 03:31:54 PM
I doubt that this would be a two round pay. I am thinking it in the first place anyways if what would lightlord do for this round since next week is already august. I might be wrong but that is how i feel
I dont have sufficient funds to cover this round, it's gonna be a two week round.

I don't want to work for a signature campaign for two weeks to find out that I'm not accepted...
I don't want to enroll additional members into a campaign where I already lack funds to cover payouts for standing members.
Once I get a top-up, I can proceed with payouts and accept new members.

I'm expecting that we will be having two weeks round for this situation. It's already normal when the funds are short and our manager lutpin knows what to do so no worries.
Yup, we're heading for a two week round.

The real scam is the person making the accusation of a scam.
What sort of victim blaming logic is this?
"The real rapist is the person wearing a short skirt, she clearly provoked it." ~ that's how you sound.

Clearly, he didn't read or understand the finer points of the bonus.
That doesn't make the act itself better, as explained several times.

After the fact, he continues in a smear campaign with other bad actors clamouring in, as if being directed by another.
Wanting money back that's rightfully yours is not a smear campaign.

It wouldn't surprise me if money has changed hands to do this.
If your voice is bought that easily, great (it seems so, since 203 of your 209 posts are spamming a ref link in Games and rounds).
But believe me, nobody has to pay me to stand up for what I think is right.
