2061  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone here into passive investing (of their time)? on: February 20, 2023, 05:24:54 AM
I am not talented in the world of blogs and YouTube, even trading in the stock market. I prefer to make my passive income by selling food that is loved by children.
the food that I make I leave it in the school cafeteria, for the last 2 years I have been doing it, I have gotten a better income than I have made articles
Some people have different categories of surviving in any means, so i believe that having a cafeteria that have much turn will bring more profit than someone who runs trading daily and monthly. I had a friend who is into eatery business and he turns millions every months, i believe that a strategies business will make more profit than all this trading kind of business investment. And it will depends on the kind of business you are into that will determine how progressive. And also your ability to know your directive.

If there are a lot of cafeterias in your place, then it would be challenging to earn a lot unless your cafeteria is so unique from others that your customers are looking back to dine in at your place again. People have their own perspectives; the cafeteria might work for him, but to others trading also and way bigger they earn, it is just a matter of what you choose and what you see that better suits or works for you; it doesn't mean that if it works on him, it should work on you. Find the path that will lead you to success.
2062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The bolt driver experience: promoting bitcoin in my business on: February 20, 2023, 04:26:32 AM
That would be a huge success for you, and for sure a lot of people will pay you bitcoin in the future. I think it is just others who are scared of this as crypto is banned in your country but are you safe accepting crypto? I have a coworker who leaves for Nigeria, and they said that it is really difficult in your place, which is why he is transitioning to crypto. I hope that you'll have more customers to hire you and pay you in bitcoin, but what are your plans for it? you hold it or sell it immediately?
2063  Economy / Economics / Re: Forget a return to office: We’re living in the age of side hustles on: February 20, 2023, 03:17:00 AM
Like this, if we master 1 profession there it is very possible to work freelance and the salary is also enough to cover living expenses, why not? But if there is a comparison between going to the office and freelancing, the salary is bigger in the office, then what is wiser choice is that we still go to the office.

We should transition first, meaning while at work, try to venture into the freelance world, and not abruptly resign as it is a bad choice. If freelancing is getting better, then it would be the time to shift careers. I think most people right now are trying to have a freelance job as a side hustle, and if they see potential in it, then they will then resign to focus more on it. A lot of people are showing their stories about getting a bigger salary than an office job in freelance, and I also hope that I will have it too.
2064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That's why I really like bitcoin :) on: February 20, 2023, 02:19:41 AM

Quote
but the funny thing is there are still many people who don't like bitcoin.
There's nothing funny about those who don't like Bitcoin, because maybe they still don't understand what Bitcoin is, so they choose not to like it before they really know about Bitcoin by trying to find out for themselves what Bitcoin is. Or ask people who already know this before, so I don't think there's anything funny about them.

I haven't encountered people who don't like bitcoin, only those in governments that are banning it. Though it doesn't mean that they don't know it, it is just that they are having difficulty or can't access the transactions on it, which they mostly say were used for illegal transactions, and they also can't control it, which is why they banned and hated bitcoin. There are also people who invested in bitcoin but got scammed and told others that bitcoin was scammed, but later on they knew that it wasn't since it was just used by the scammers, and then they would get back into investing in bitcoin.
2065  Economy / Economics / Re: No petrol/diesel car sales by 2035/ Reality or dream? on: February 19, 2023, 03:39:06 PM
It's not happening very soon, electric vehicles won't generate money like cars running on petrol and diesel, the man that invented a car using water to run was assassinated because this will make petrol useless or make the government less money, Cars running on gas is still better than using electricity, I am not saying it's impossible but I doubt it will generate better money, right now, its less safe to even drive electric vehicles, because I keep hearing they go up in flames and burn down with no reason.

It is really not happening very soon, but for sure, 2035 would be a possibility. Yes, we can see a lot of EVs got burned; there are a lot of issues, but we are already far as we have already started to do it, meaning it just needs tweaking to be perfect like petrol or gas. I also heard the man behind the invention of using water to run a car, which goes silent as gas is always the business of big and powerful people, but it is not the same with EVs as they were also backed by big people. Most of the first-world countries are starting to adopt it, so the possibility of it being adopted worldwide is huge, but it will take decades.
2066  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: February 19, 2023, 02:03:34 PM
using a cellphone is actually much more interesting than using a desktop, both browsers and applications, because people nowadays want the convenience of playing casinos wherever they are, I think using a browser on a cellphone is much safer than any application.
I agree with you there because sometimes casino apps do have problems which I won't explain or give an example compared to using the browser and mobile browser have a feature where you can visit a website to display much like the same as how desktop display the website after loading when you access the site and that is called desktop site. It's up to you if you turn it on or stay as it is which is off (default setting). Though many won't use it as it is like a desktops view and viewing it is not very comfortable or convenient when using desktop site feature on yoir mobile phone's browser. Rather use it as it is and I only use desktop site when I want to see how exactly viewed when you are using desktop and that's all. Anyway, casino apps that are downloaded from other site is quite suspicious if that's what the casino did rather than the casino itself provide the file or the download link of their app.
As a veteran gambler, I think casino applications have their drawbacks. Carefully get programs from trusted sources. I like browsing casino websites on a browser or mobile device rather than downloading their app. I can use the desktop site option to visit the website and figure out how it works. Each gambler decides whether to use the desktop site function.

Use the casino's app or website for security. Snatching software from other sources can cause security difficulties or scams. Being a smart gambler, I always investigate gambling apps and websites and use reliable sources. Gambling responsibly and having fun is what matters most.

As long as you've downloaded that app from a reliable source or their website, it is very safe. I think most gambling websites make their own apps for a better user experience since there are some issues with others accessing it through browsers, but still, if they have an app with a good review and no bugs, I would use it, but if it is still in the development stage, I will use my own browser to access their website.
2067  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and investing, and still very broke.why? Is it spiritual? on: February 19, 2023, 12:27:16 PM
I sit-down to wonder why traders who are consistent in trading and also investing still remain very broke despite the effort they put to erradicating poverty, but it still seems like there is some sort of unforseen and spiritual forces controlling the physical.Or should it be foundational curse from the forefathers affecting the present circumstances?or is it that the poverty is inherited? Or is it a gene or chromosome?.These are questions that that I tend to ask.
It does not mean that even if you go for investing and trading, you will already achieved utmost profits. Of course that will only be possible if you have decent skills and strategies in both of them, otherwise you will end up wasting your money because you are following the wrong patterns for investing and trading. Although there are also some inevitable circumstances, but if you only know how to combat them with your knowledge and skills, you will still win and make significant profits at the end of the day.
Traders that seems to be broke just only depend on trading and do not have another source of income. It is not just possible people will depend only on trading,  these is the mistake lot of person normally I have.  They want to do trading with mentality of to gain source of income. If at all one Wanr to depend in trading their should be sufficient amount of money for trading and a good experience as a trader than as a beginner craving to make money with shallow knowledge.

People think that trading is easy, and some of them will jump into it, but it turns out to be difficult, and they quit along the way. This is mostly my first impression of those people who will just say, "Buy low, sell high." Also, only a few or those professional traders are the only ones doing it full time as they see that they can get more profit than working in a job, but like us small-time traders, we can't do it as we don't have much capital and we still haven't perfected our strategy.
2068  Economy / Economics / Re: A steady source of income is a man's bottom line to support his family on: February 19, 2023, 10:36:34 AM
Just recently my wife also had the same dilemma. She wants to have a job, the same thing she had before, even if it's low paying as long as the incentives are correct. But to her surprise, most of the jobs that she was interviewed was all offering salaries from sales. Marketing usually. I didn't like the idea and I told her it might become a difficult job as she will have to be as delightful as possible while offering whatever the item is.
It's a stressful job and I don't want to see her acting all stressed inside the house although she said it's going to be a work from home basis.
I told her to just keep on looking, we are in better days now with the pandemic gone and we are almost back to the normal ways with people not wearing mask and businesses opening again. She will find it for sure and I believe your friend too.

Thanks for sharing your wife's story. I agree with you that she does not have to rush for any job as sales job is not suitable for everyone. A lot of people can not take these jobs because they are introvert, not willing to talk to others or simply don't like to be paid by sales performance. My friend's situation was not that simple you may think, the job position was actually a designer, nothing related to sales. Due to the pandemic, a lot of business owners try to reap off and cheat the job seekers so they claim the offer to be non-sales but when you come to interview, they say that apart from the fixed work, any job takers must go out for sales. I would do the same to refuse the offer as my friend. Anyway, luckily a few days after I posted the thread, my friend landed on a non-sales job with a fairly good salary. I am happy for him. The same luck goes to your wife. Cheers !

Good news, it's nice to know that your friend has a job so he can take care of the family as well as the opportunity to accumulate the money needed for his wife's surgery. But if in case he still can't find a suitable job, then I think he should accept any job as long as it can provide temporary income for his family. Because of the current economic crisis, it is tough to apply for a job, so we should not be too picky. Many people are still unemployed, so getting a job at this point, we should cherish it.

The economy is still recovering, which is why there are still a lot of people unemployed, and there are also tons of people from the pandemic who lost jobs and are finding work. Most of the people right now who are finding a job don't pursue their careers; they want to be hired no matter what the job is, as the labor market right now is very difficult and all of us need money. It is a wise choice to stay at your current job so that it can help you with the medications, but at the same time, find a job that has a higher salary before resigning.
2069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: February 19, 2023, 09:25:20 AM
It's very funny as well seing some people on this category of being persistent on gambling be it on sport betting, crypto casinos or even lotto, when a gambler is very desperate to make a win after several attempts to break record but never did, they insisted on perpetual trials on each categories and keep doing this over time, well it turns addiction to some while others couldn't but hold on to several attempts without having any results.
They just want to try their luck and to have an experience to play in the other games, after they found a gambling game where they're interested and mastered, they will stick with that's game. Most people will choose sports betting because you're have full control over your bet, so it's 100% depends on your analysis and decision. Gambling to make money and break the past record are really wrong, you need to have control and manage your emotion.

There is still luck in sports betting, not 100% analysis, as there are games that you thought the stronger team would win but it turns out not, as it is not always the strongest team that will win. Though analysis and also having experience are a must in sports betting to decide which team will win, but there is still luck involved, which I think consists in all gambling games. It is just that sports betting has an edge to win if you know the team better than if you play slots or other luck-based games.
2070  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that this AI is good for trading? on: February 19, 2023, 07:51:55 AM
Trading is another story and a huge task that an AI can make which is actually out of its design as Chat Bot. I'd never use chatGPT personally but one of my friends tells me how good it is when comes to chat messages, answering questions, and word compositions. It is really amazing to think huh, but I might think that it was really intended for that area, not on trading or in general works. Maybe in the future, the developers will make that programs but still, I'm not sure how good it was when it comes to decisions like normal people can do.

It is just there to answer your question and won't do anything at all, so it is still up to you how you use it. I think it was just helpful for you to gather data regarding the history of the prices of the current crypto you are trading, and it can also give you knowledge on how to tweak your strategy. It is good for researching which it just answers you immediately on what it can see, which is very fast, rather than checking those websites one by one in Google.
2071  Economy / Economics / Re: Cheap food: can you beat this price in your country? on: February 19, 2023, 06:30:15 AM
Many people are correct for pointing out we shouldn't eat unhealthy foods where it's mostly about high carbohydrates and fats, so it's better to find a restaurant where they serve a meal which composed about vegetables and other healthy foods. But many people are forget if those restaurants might use not fresh ingredients, instant sauce where it's contain high sugar, unhealthy cooking process, preservative uses etc.

You need to know the whole ingredients to judge how healthy the foods is, but since restaurants mostly don't care about it and only looking to make people come back to eat since it's delicious, it's better to buy a raw ingredients and cook yourself.

Don't always fry or saute your foods, it's better to stew or grill.

That is why others will say unhealthy foods are delicious. I really don't care about the foods I've eaten since I was a teenager; I don't care if they are healthy or not, and I also always eat at those cheap food stalls to save money and play those computer games, but that was a really wrong move as it could really affect my health. Eating healthy foods is sometimes expensive, and only a few people can afford it. That is why those poor families usually tend to rely on cheap food to survive.
2072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reasons for holding bitcoins? on: February 19, 2023, 05:40:14 AM
We just hold it for long so that we can earn profit. I know you are contented, no matter how small your profit is, but not all people have the same mindset as you; it doesn't mean they are greedy, but they want to get more profit, as there is also a high chance in a few years that you can get more profit, though it requires patience. It won't work on you since you can't wait, so we have different strategies. Some of us have the same strategy as you: a small rise, which they will then sell off, while others hold on for a greater chance of getting big profits.
2073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get Bitcoin Holdings for your child from infant. on: February 19, 2023, 04:42:06 AM
This is definitely an option. A big bag of Bitcoin is a good start for life.

I don't have kids yet, but I'm already saving some Bitcoin for them. I know they will be grateful in the future.

Treat your holding also like a kid . From infant to adulthood. Meaning taking care of it that it is not get hacked, continue learning while your bitcoin grows or your profit so that you will know more about bitcoin and dont get panic when its beat market as you could sell it. Also it would also best that if your child got born you also bought bitcoin and hold it until he/she is going to college as it is an investment for your child
2074  Other / Archival / Re: What is the easiest way to explain bitcoin to a regular person? on: February 19, 2023, 02:54:31 AM
Usually I just explain the tip on it because most of the people who ask me know that bitcoin has a high price, so their purpose is to earn profit on it. I just explained what the real purpose of bitcoin is before most people knew it as an investment and how I've earned from it. I don't really go deep into it, as I'm sure they won't understand. Then I would also give them links and videos to learn more about bitcoin.
2075  Economy / Economics / Re: does bitcoin help in your economy? on: February 18, 2023, 01:40:47 PM
there are many people investing in bitcoin, some are profitable and some are losing. and I believe bitcoin has a big advantage. The question is whether when you benefit from bitcoin, you can help your economy and your family?
as my side income, bitcoin helps my finances. The cryptocurrency ecosystem is truly amazing, my life changed 180%, and I have personally benefited greatly from it so I will continue to be loyal to Bitcoin. I hope the ecosystem of cryptocurrency can help the economy of many families in my country in the future, this is truly an extraordinary thing.
Maybe you can be more specific about which sectors you get income from bitcoin because I'm also interested. Is it from investing, trading, mining, or something else?

Your answer will be very helpful
Thanks

Sorry to interfere but for sure he is getting profit from trading as mostly he talks about trading and about bitcoin speculation. I think most of us earns on this , mining right now is getting difficult you need to have a farm to see the big profit on it but if you are just mining on your own then the profit is low and brought you small money but still you have passive income. Most of my friends that tried mining before quited right now its because the electricity is very expensive in our country and they switch to future trading.
2076  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: February 18, 2023, 12:36:16 PM
indeed some gamblers who use casino applications to bet, they usually feel more comfortable and safe for the same reason.
even though sometimes the casino application is not downloaded from the official site but through an unknown site and it is very vulnerable to carrying malware.
if you think about it, it's more comfortable and more fun to gamble through an online casino, where all the pictures or buttons are complete, as well as a very good gambling experience is available at online casinos.
using a cellphone is actually much more interesting than using a desktop, both browsers and applications, because people nowadays want the convenience of playing casinos wherever they are, I think using a browser on a cellphone is much safer than any application.

When it terms to cellphone having application for a gambling website is better than browser because it is way more interactive and not having difficulties in navigating the casino as it was really made on that platform as long as you download it from their website so that we are sure it is safe . We have our own preference as sometimes i want to play on phone and most of the time i prefer on my desktop as i can easily see anything and i feel comfortable
2077  Economy / Economics / Re: No petrol/diesel car sales by 2035/ Reality or dream? on: February 18, 2023, 11:38:31 AM
Some reports indicate that the costs of running an electric car are actually lower than the costs of running a car with an internal combustion engine.
But the actual cost of making one is going to create another shortage. Its battery will be the next problem that shall be made when most cars are already EVs.

I don't know if you heard this, but there is a new trend of mining right now under the ocean, where they will get tons of minerals and also use them for creating batteries. A lot of companies are racing on this to first make their own machines to extract those minerals, and it is also supported by governments as it is way less destructive than the actual mining we have right now, which destroys forests. Their main purpose also on this is getting ready for the demand for making EV vehicles in the future.
I didn't know and never heard of it.

If there's a way to mine for those mineral for creating batteries then that's good but, I'd say that it won't be permanent and there will still be a shortage once the demand increases for EVs.

Incase you need it here is an article about it Source though there are also cons of it they said but I think this cant be stopped right now as we really need this materials in the future. It wouldn't be permanent but our ocean is I think 70% right so it is huge than our land masses so probably it will take more time that we will going to shortage on this but the biggest problem right now is how it contributes to environment as for sure we are affected on it.

2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting fraud in Brazil 😦 on: February 18, 2023, 09:08:44 AM
This and God knows how many matches get fixed but pass through the public eyes without notice. Where there is money involved there is always chance for fraud.

That is also my thoughts we really dont know how many games they fixed and bribe players just to make the game lose. For sure that would be a lot of games and we haven't noticed it that is why they keep doing it and also I think that is their business to find another bettor that has money who will bet big and they will then do this so that they are the one who will win. I hope this will stop now and I am worried if this still continue doing as they are powerful people thay no one cant stop them
2080  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If it was you on: February 18, 2023, 08:13:45 AM
I just remember before that futures trading is not that famous; most you'll see in exchange is only spot trading, in which you just set a specific price to sell at or you can sell it immediately, and the only way to earn is when you buy at a low price and sell it at a high price, which unlike futures, you can profit both sides. Both have pros and cons, which I also don't have a problem with as we can get profit from them, and mostly both of them are what I am using, but for sure now a days, most new traders prefer futures as they can both trade in both ways.
