20981  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: My new TREZOR on: April 02, 2014, 11:07:39 AM
Is it possible to buy Trezors now?

Right now, the pre-orders are closed. So you'll have to wait. Or there is a risky option to buy it from the third party vendors. I'll strongly advice against any such move.
20982  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: About to get my first .1 Btc. Now what. on: April 02, 2014, 11:04:23 AM
Store your BTCs securely and make regular backups. Try to earn more and more BTCs.

We are gonna need some missiles and shit to defend our sovereignty  though

Contact Viktor Bout. He might be able to help you. However, I am not sure whether he accepts BTC or not.
20987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone else concerned that 43% of the hashrate is from an unknown source? on: April 02, 2014, 10:54:56 AM
implying they've even produced mining rigs

Or perhaps they might have bought it from someone else, using their clients' money. They'll mine it for some 6-7 months, and then they'll ship it to the unfortunate client.
20988  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: My new TREZOR on: April 02, 2014, 10:51:59 AM
I would have ordered one if it was affordable. But a price of $480 means almost 10% of my BTC holdings. I would wait for some more time till the price is reduced. Or may be I will be able to obtain an used device in the near future.
20989  Bitcoin / Press / Re: Court Grants Order to Freeze Hashfast’s Bitcoin Wallets on: April 02, 2014, 10:49:10 AM
Wait how can they "freeze" their Bitcoin wallet? do they have acess to their private keys or is their bitpay account the one that's frozen?

It is not possible to freeze them, as the cops don't have the private keys. Perhaps it is the Bitpay account which is frozen.
20990  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-04-1] Wired - Hackers Turn Security Camera DVRs Into Worst Bitcoin Miners on: April 02, 2014, 10:48:04 AM
To make only $1 by mining bitcoin ? with a possible link back to you? Wow these "hackers" are dumber than expected.

Perhaps they hack thousands of DVRs at a time, making thousands of $$$. Not worth the risk though.
20991  Other / Politics & Society / Re: is time for Transnistria to join russia ? on: April 02, 2014, 10:45:45 AM
So, according to your logic, Romania was never existent and we have to return Wallahia, Transylvania and Moldavia to Hungary. Or, maybe, we have to resurrect the Golden Horde and return these lands to them, because it was their land in 1200s.

Also, there is a very large Hungarian minority in Romania who wants to merge with Hungary.

This is not the first time that I am seeing frustrated Romanians posting here, asking Moldovia to merge with Romania. But the truth is that not even 10% of the Moldvins want to do so (I mean the ethnic Moldvins, who constitute 69% of the population). Support among the other minorities (Russians, Gagauzes, Ukrainians, Bulgars.etc) for this measure is practically 0.

And remember that some 600,000 Moldvins work in RF (15% of the total population, one-fourth of all adults). The attachment to Russia is much more than any historical link to Romania.
20992  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Real Time Socialist Train Wreck (again) Happening Now in Venezuela on: April 02, 2014, 08:07:05 AM
I see your point. Let us not talk about those 39 deaths. They do not count compared to Iraq, etc. The faster we forget them, the better.

Those 39 deaths were a great tragedy. But when the US media barks so much about that incident, it reminds me of this proverb:

20993  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Saudi Arabia To Classify Atheists As “Terrorists”… on: April 02, 2014, 08:04:42 AM
That is also why no one cares about Tibet.

The NATO and the US doesn't care about Tibet because they don't have the balls to stand up to the Chinese bullying.
20994  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptostock alternatives on: April 02, 2014, 07:21:40 AM
My advice will be to stay away from all these BTC-based equities and corporations. 90% of the time they turns out to be ponzi schemes. And I have myself lost around 25 BTC in the BTCT.co scam.
20995  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any BTC bank? on: April 02, 2014, 07:19:59 AM
Bitcoin was created as an alternative to the greedy bankers. And now you want Banks which deals with BTC?
20996  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine... Revolution. on: April 02, 2014, 07:18:35 AM
Very few. None of the migrants groups to Europe are as productive as the native population. However, Eastern Europeans are much better than others.

The HSMP programs have attracted some good quality talent to the EU, but the numbers are not that high.
20997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IRS changes course declares bitcoin currency on: April 02, 2014, 06:59:54 AM
It will, and it's confusing.
Money (income) vs. property (capital gains)
Accounting is a hassle either way...

In my country, long-term capital gains tax is much lower than income tax. So right now, it is a win-win situation. Right?
20998  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where do you normally buy bitcoin ? on: April 02, 2014, 06:56:22 AM
When I bought BTCs in 2013 January, I used localbitcoins.com. But paid a 20% premium.
20999  Other / Politics & Society / Re: America's biggest serial killer, abortionist Kermit Gosnell & the media cover-up on: April 02, 2014, 06:47:17 AM
The state of Pennsylvania do have death penalty. But I don't think that the biased jury will ever give this monster any sort of meaningful punishment.
21000  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine... Revolution. on: April 02, 2014, 06:43:45 AM
Exactly, I suppose that you mean the most of turkish migrants in the EU.

Oh... At least some of the Turks do some economically productive activity. Look at all those Somalis and Congolese. 99% of them live off welfare receipts and commit heinous crimes. I don't understand the logic of bringing millions of these people to the EU, when they can recruit hard working people from the Eastern Europe.
