2101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bgold or Bcash? on: December 07, 2017, 02:57:34 AM
Discuss pls

Better check coinmarketcap and see the difference in trading volume and their prices if you wanna know what to choose between the two. If you ask me what is the better, then I would say Bitcoincash at it is way higher than BTG in price.
2102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH question on: December 07, 2017, 02:25:38 AM
Is this a correct assumption?

If there is a long backlog of transactions to verify and some have a low enough gas price that the miners choose higher gas priced transactions, is it
possible for the low gas transactions to never be picked up due to the long backlog? Any "new" transactions with higher gas prices will be picked up again and again leaving the lower ones to be in the "air"

2103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is so costly. Why would that be? on: December 06, 2017, 07:33:56 AM
Bitcoin is so costly on the off chance that it will be changed over to my nation's money it will cost hundred of thousands. Why bitcoin worth that much even its lone a digital money would someone be able to give me a thought.

You might read some articles regarding Bitcoins growth dramatically, there are some famous authors that may clarify and might give you some thoughts about why bitcoin's price is so high. Actually it was not that high on it's early days. I's was only cents at that time but we didn't knew it's price will blast like an eruption and even 1 Bitcoin is hard enough for us to buy.
2104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you first know about bitcoin what was the price? on: December 05, 2017, 08:36:49 PM
bitcoin price is know over $11714.95 and growing,
share your knowledge/memory of the first time you know of the value of bitcoin was.
My first time knowing bitcoin it was valued at $200+. Smiley

What good does it bring sharing the price on when we first knew about Bitcoin or rather the Blockchain technology?
Just thinking about it right now makes me feel sad, but that won't bring me to the past. I saw it first when an online advertisement pop-up and saying something that they accept payment of Bitcoin, and I didn't even know what it is. It was way back 2013, and I have no clue about it's price back then.

The only thing that we can learn about this post is that we know how it works now, it's not too late to be one of the lucky ones. There are promising coins out there that we can be early adopters like the people who made fortune out of Bitcoin when it was just cents, it's just the right call to the right coin, and I bet you also have Bitcoins, maybe in the near future Bitcoin will be 10x of it's current price at the moment, who knows.

2108  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Starting trade with small amount on: December 04, 2017, 04:49:28 PM
How to start a trade with small amount?
I am not a millionaire.I have jaust some money.I want to trade with my small amount.can I do this? Then how?

We are at the same spot right now, but in my case I already start trading. You know the drill, buy low sell high. I even made 3-4 dollars a day all in all. Don't laugh at me because it's only an experiment and my capital is very low (around .007 BTC) and only ETH-BTC and vice versa. Start and learn now, if you have more capital at least you'll be ready for the big one. By the way I am only using CoinEx, I haven't tried other exchanges like Poloniex or Bitfinex etc, as I said I am only new to trading. Best of lucks out there and happy trading.
2109  Economy / Economics / Re: Beside Cryptocurrenices where would you invest? on: December 04, 2017, 02:26:55 PM
A lot of people now days jumping and investing in the cryptocurrency industry.
If you are not investing in crypto, where do you else invest?
Property ? normal crowdfunding? give your input

I guess I'm gonna make our travel agency bigger or put another branch outside our town, but as of now I am betting my luck and some of my money in cryptocurrencies.  There's also another business I want to invest in, I wanna build my own advertisement agency. A small studio and make a name out of it.
2110  Economy / Economics / Re: IMPORTANT! - US Senate Bill S.1241 to Criminalize Concealed Ownership of Bitcoin on: December 04, 2017, 02:47:48 AM
Lame excuses for tracking down illicit terrorist and drug cartel actions, they've already banned most of the accused terrorists' hideout countries (syria , palestine, iraq, etc.). Hope that Bill remains there in your country and ours won't follow.
2111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why calling other currencies altcoins ? on: December 03, 2017, 05:56:56 PM
Currently all the new ICO are trying to develop platforms with different use case than Bitcoin, not similar at all, why people keep calling them altcoins although they are not alternative?

Well altcoins somehow are improved in terms of hashing algorithims or speed of transactions, and some altcoins innovate by experimenting with features Bitcoin does not offer.
Altcoins are referred to as Bitcoin alternatives because, at least to some extent, most altcoins either replace or improve at least one Bitcoin component, that is why it's an alternative.
2112  Economy / Economics / Re: The 'intrinsic value' discussion on: December 03, 2017, 01:54:14 PM
@davis: You are right, I forgot to list that one. Thank you.
However, I do not think the fact you cannot copy it implies it has value. Because why do people want to copy something? Because the original has value. Why do people want to create fake USD? Because the original USD has value. When something cannot be copied, that is a protection of its value, not the reason for its value.

Then let's go back to the time where gold and silver and other precious stones are being used to pay goods and services. They cannot be copied. USD can be copied, in fact all fiat are being copied everyday, it's just the serial number is different. While Bitcoin has only a 21m in circulation.
2113  Economy / Economics / Re: The 'intrinsic value' discussion on: December 03, 2017, 01:43:16 PM
I have been collecting bitcoin and other crypto for a while now, but I have to admit I never truly understood what gives it (intrinsic) value, if anything. Some people just buy it because they think others will pay more for it later. I was one of those people. However, my stash has become large enough in fiat terms that I now need to be convinced of bitcoin's value, in order to still feel comfortable holding it. I do believe strongly in 'value investing' and the idea of 'intrinsic value'. The big question is: does bitcoin have any. If not, why does it not need it?

1) It can be transferred easily.
Well, there are more things that can be transferred easily, over the internet, just like bitcoin.
These include e-mail, or voice-over-ip. Those are not scarce. However, if they would be scarce, they might have (usd) value because of what is being transfered: the e-mail message itself, and the voice message itself. Being convenient to transfer is not what gave it value in the first place, it depends on the content of that being transfered.

It is made to be a currency. A currency that can be easily transfered is better than one that has high fees and takes time. Put it simply like this, if you wanna transfer $1B to another place, how much money would be wasted in fees, and the time it takes to complete the transfer? Unless transferring it in a digital currency that has minimal fees and in just few seconds or minutes. That's why it is better than fiat. That's why it has value. it's chosen by the digital community, it's sole purpose to be a currency used in all part of the world rather than $. You can't use email and voice message to pay goods and services, They are not currencies, they are not similar.
2114  Economy / Speculation / Re: When bitcoin will drop? on: December 03, 2017, 11:17:55 AM
I missed at $ 5800 12 November ago. I think right now bitcoin prices are stable just like before the fork, urghh  Angry Angry. My question is, it is possible to drop again? And when? I feel so disappointed to not buy at $5800 rate.

Massive regulation on the way, they have schemes undercovered. If cryptocurrencies will be under central banks control then it will surely drop, and important people start calling bitcoin illegal, or the bubble bursts and our assets are rendered completely worthless and we all lose. Hope it will never happens.
2115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin $15000 on: December 02, 2017, 08:21:04 PM
Bitcoin fluctuation had always amazed us day by day, we barely believe that it'll reach $10k when it was only $5k two months ago but look at where we are now. We can't predict base on pure speculations only, but one things for sure if we are holders of bitcoins. We are expecting it to maintain it's price or even increase. $15k is not impossible and will not be impossible as Bitcoin already proven its worth and capabilities to reach unexpected amount in USD.
2116  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Can Continually Be Growing Into End of Year on: December 02, 2017, 04:43:10 PM
My guess, it will probably $11,000 - $15,000 USD equivalent in the next few days. Obviously this is not financial advice, and these are my personal views / guesses about the future. If you are stupid enough to make financial decisions purely based on opinions like mine, please don’t take offence if I say I will laugh whether you make $1 Million or lose it all. Holidays are coming, using bitcoin as a payment for stuffs such and such, or rather people will relax from trading, but most traders don't give a damn about holidays.

2117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WILL ETHEREUM HIT $1000 SOON? on: December 02, 2017, 01:48:48 PM
EVERYONE KNOWS ETHEREUM'S ARROW IS POINTING UP .. MY QUESTION IS, HOW SOON AND HOW HIGH DO YOU BELIEVE IT'S GOING??

ARE WE LOOKING AT $1,000 IN THE NEXT COUPLE MONTHS OR SO? AND HOW CONFIDENT ARE YOU IN ITS POTENTIAL??

I'VE INVESTED IN MANY ALT COINS, BUT MY GUT IS TELLING ME ETHEREUM IS THE NEXT TO BLOW UP AND HAS THE LOWEST RISK INVOLVED .. WOULD YOU AGREE??

AND IF WE GOT ANY DOUBTERS HERE, STATE YOUR CASE IF YOU WILL..

Definitely agreeable, low risk even though slow in raising it's price but still good for investing in a long term basis. Hope it will increase for about 50% before the year ends. I've almost sold out my shitcoins because I believed in ethereum's potential.
2118  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain future on: December 02, 2017, 09:28:44 AM
Hi Guys ! What you think about feature of blockchain startups?

Most financial industries are now adopting Blockchain technology and this is a good. Imagine slashing most of the transaction fees and making hours of work or even days to transact in normal ways just to few seconds or minutes.
Blockchain start ups are already funded by big investors an d no one can stop that. More and more bigger companies joined forces so support the technology and focused on improving and standardizing the Blockchain. This a good news for the cryptocommunitty.
2119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why people from 3rd countries are crazy about getting cryptos? on: December 02, 2017, 05:15:34 AM
This is a serious problem, i dont have anything about those people, because it is not their fault to be borned in there.

But i have noticed that they all are just doing the same, introduce themselves into cryptos in order to have a better future.

Why you all are looking for the same? i mean, most of you are hoping to be millionaires and you are the first reason of why bitcoin has been so hyped lately.

Probably 1,5/3 of total forum population is from Philippines and Indonesia, and those are the majority in here, and you all are hyping bitcoin as hell.

Is there a reason to be buying bitcoins like crazy people? Or just trying to get them at any cost? Please, give me some explanations, maybe i am missing something.

This is not a racist thread, i just want to know more about your situation.

It's simply because they are earning while at home or in streets. Most people in the Philippines and Indonesia are jobless , so instead of playing games and engaging in social media (at least here they can use their fb and twitter to earn)  in their mobile phones they'd rather use their time earning while sitting. That is why we have so many Filipinos here and Indonesians.
