1181  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When did you start trading? on: April 19, 2019, 10:34:06 PM
I started when I was envied with my friends, they earned a lot and let them teach me basics, since I am new at that time, I was losing so much and had a hard time recovering my loses. All was going smooth but then the sudden drop of prices of all crypto currencies came and I lost even more. Now I have stopped trading, but the moment I stopped I bought some GPUs to start my rig and still failed. So many time I invest in somethings new I failed. So far I have not regretted this and was grateful that it teaches me how to be tough in life. Even you start trading now you better be tougher than what was your last work because in this business only you could survive through a stone cold heart and mind.
1182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty that paid you some good reward on: April 19, 2019, 09:15:47 PM
I got a total of 55k tokens of slate, when it got to exchange I was hoping it would reach a price of 1 USD but failed to and  I could not sell it due to hopping it would give me fortune. It's ATH was 0.1 USD  and now It has drastically dropped it's price, I left it on the exchange just in case it will rise again, it's on Hitbtc by the way. The best token and last was the Bitcoin white, I have made 1,600 USD for only signing up in telegram group every week. Now Bounty campaigns are giving less profit and few just engage on them.
1183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: why each and every ico is failing.??? on: April 19, 2019, 07:25:57 PM
I am observing since last six months...each and every ico is failing drastically...even the most succesful ones which got funded within the time limit...when enters the exchange their price is dropping by more than times....investing in ico these days meaning throwing away your money

That is why the tokens allocated for the devs should be freeze for over two years or more. That way no dev could sell out their tokens leaving the price not fall easily. They hold more than the investors bought sometimes and price will drastically fall if they sell it when it goes live in any exchange.
1184  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you define a good exchange? on: April 19, 2019, 03:00:58 PM
Hello to all the Bitcointalkers!

Because it is my first post, I have, at least, to present myself in several words. I am a coins/tokens dev and web developer full stack.
After several years of crypto experience, I decided to create my own project. It is not a coin, nor a token (there is already plenty of ERC20 tokens and coins), it is a cryptocurrency exchange.

There is already some exchanges available on the web, but I would like to build one which may fit to Bitcointalk users, it's why I opened this thread, and ask you today what do you like the most in crypto exchanges, as well as the things that you dislike. It can be specific features, themes, properties...
I want to build a good exchange, and for that I need to know your preferences.

Waiting for your replies Smiley
Lugdunex

If you are going to have an exchange you better have attentive customer support who acts on a technical issues and trouble shootings of their accounts. There are only few spare times left for most traders and you better not waste a single second as they will be displeased in any late reactions for their concerns, all customers do. I have recently send a ticket to one of my used exchange and so far they are attentive and did the job clean.
1185  Economy / Economics / Re: How adoption will happen on: April 19, 2019, 07:37:56 AM
Is it going to start with poor countries and their dictators?
Is it going to start in the USA with their SEC and ETF and everything?
Discuss.

We need proper time, young folks including us the early adopter are expanding in knowledge about crypto currecncies and the technology behind it. It cab happen anywhere in world, it's either Rich countries or Poor countries just as long as we have our new generations ready to be educated. Credible students are most likely would understand first how this goes and later on, the less IQ students will just follow. So we need the new generations to understand, whey new? Because old folks are hard as stone in understanding and are already retired of understanding this kinds of technology. So mass adoption will happen later on when new sprouts get older and we at that time must have been relaxing at some kind of quiet place or beach or any where around the world. Well if you would hold BTC for that time around.
1186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Popularity Soars in Argentina Due to Mass Inflation on: April 19, 2019, 06:14:49 AM
It is still hard for the Argentinian people to accept a crypto currency in their country with it's volatility rate. Seeing normal traders of goods at the market using Bitcoin as mode of exchange, how would that seem possible? Every moment then and on they must constantly check the price to match the amount that should be paid to their goods. I think a possibly that the country should adapt the Blockchain tech and make their own cyrpto currency, this should be done for all the countries with increasing inflation rate.
1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is blockchain job friendly? on: April 19, 2019, 03:12:40 AM
I don't think it is a job friendly, it will be effortless to transact your money to other people with Blockchain. In some cases blockchain if blockchain wil lbe adopted then the people(tellers at the bank) who are manually counting your money will lose it's job when this time comes around. The ones who really will fit with the job for a Blockchain society are those who knows technology and other machines to run it. Either they are miners around the globe or developers of applications that can be merge with blockhain uses to enhance people's way of living, are we one of them? The answer no, because we are merely holders and traders of crypto the and they are far ahead of us in terms of technical knowledge.
1188  Economy / Economics / Re: what makes us good investors. on: April 19, 2019, 02:44:41 AM
Lack of Knowledge burned my profits once, I thought that the coin that I bought was going to give me multiple times over the time I bought it. When it goes to the market I was excited and greed fell down on me. Never have sold them all until now and still waiting for a chance to get my investment even just the price the time It was sold out during pre-sale. Now I am packed with a little bit of knowledge and still learning stuffs to avoid further loses.

1190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mandatory live video for project developers or team on: April 18, 2019, 09:32:41 AM
I was wondering if it will help solve the issue of ICO scam, if we make it mandatory for all ICO Project developers to compulsorily do skype call with potential investors before promoting any project, or do a presentation of their project and post it online showing their faces, so that we can see their faces directly and probably be able to apprehend them in a case of fraudulent activities. We have to save ICO.
If they meant to scam you in the first place then don't bother doing things like this. Even the great Satoshi Nakamoto is anonymous but still manage to create Bitcoin and succeed. There are many ICO prject who didn't just need to Skype you online but meet you in person when they are still promiting their token but still they failed on succeeding. No point at all.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: April 18, 2019, 08:52:41 AM
It is a business for the owners and an entertainment for most customers. It is bad though as it leads to addiction in gambling. But it seems that gambling in the present were we gambling at home using our internet is more safer than before. Also gambling before was criticize because most of the casinos are installed on countries that have high unemployment rates or lowest income levels in the society and this leads to more crimes, gamblers often becomes criminals. The more they gamble the more income for the gambling industries.
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should there be a time limit for coin swap? on: April 17, 2019, 09:50:17 PM
Should there really be a time limit for coin swap tbh?
Its kinda funny there when i look at some project whom initiate swap

There's still few thing that Crypto are kinda weak when we comes to real world investment
I personally notice quite a number of case where user are left with bunch of useless coins because they didn't swap before a specific timeline.
This wouldn't happen if you buy stocks from stock market, buy commodities contract and etc
If you buy ABC, no matter if they transfer or convert their name to CDE and whatever, you do get back the amount you spent or the stocks that you actually hold.

I even notice there's certain swaps where it only available for 1 month
They expect everyone browse social forums, look at social media and etc
Hence, kindly share your point of view here

It is a strategy I guess, to minimize the shareholders or numbers of coin holders. Some buyers were too busy to open their accounts and to know what is the latest news and trends about their coin. And the moment their back they are already too late. Sometimes even the allotted time is gone, they also accept coin swapping, that kind of dev team is what an ideal team should be.
1193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Important question to Investors!! on: April 17, 2019, 02:07:32 PM
There are rules I put on myself if whenever I see a project is worth investing, one is if it is unique and you will hardly find some so I never really invest on repeated projects. Another is the development team's country of Origin, I am not racist at all but I do care about who and where they came from. So I most likely want to trust American and Chinese teams over Russian, Africans, Thai and other countries. I am so picky, and we should be, it is our money at stake here, our future retirements and such. We better take precautions so you better be strict and wise.
1194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is this the beginning of the end of all bitcoin hard forks? on: April 17, 2019, 10:23:53 AM
Maybe it is the beginning of the end or maybe it is still the beginning of a new forking, since it has failed it's first and second forked coins, there should be planned to fork another. Remember it was this hard fork thing that gives a bit of a push to bitcoin price. Just my hunch though.
1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Whats your opinion on UFC fighert Ben Askren? on: April 17, 2019, 08:49:12 AM
If he maybe wins streak game fights for any reasons, he can potentially progress that even he is not well developed in fighting on UFC, he might learn base on experience on fights. I think he is just taking the right tempo in UFC fighting. Every champion athlete starts at nothing and he is too, so he just need proper training attention to be ready in UFC fights.
1196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook is discontinuing P2P payments in Messenger. Is working on a cryptocurre on: April 17, 2019, 06:33:33 AM
Will this give a positive impact on Bitcoin trend or to the crypto currencies market? Or will it be just another shitcoin and to be dumped in the dark abyss of shitcoins. Either way it will be helpful I think if they will be accepting Bitcoin to buy their facebook coin. What if it will only accept USD or other known fiat money? These social media companies are very powerful tools in market trends of Crypto, I hope it doesn't give a headache and drag Bitcoin down too if it comes to that.
1197  Economy / Economics / Re: There's nothing more happier than seeing your bitcoin price going up! on: April 17, 2019, 02:43:30 AM
I still remember seeing my bitcoin price going up in the late January, 2017 - that's was my first bitcoin investment. During the mid January 2017, the bitcoin price take a dive from $1,200 to $965 and that was my entry point and I sold them later when the bitcoin price reached $2,700 around June /July that same year. It was my first Bitcoin investment though, but I still remember the joy and happiness of that time - it's an unforgettable moment of my life.

Did your Bitcoin investment ever makes you happy?
Tell me about your first Bitcoin investment, a good or bad experience? thanks Smiley

It was a good investment, for the reason I am still here means I want more and I need more Bitcoin to fill another empty space of happiness in my life in investing, it gives me endorphin seeing my portfolio in greens. They say people who are happy lives a healthy and long life. Now I am trying to be as less distressful as I could even though losing some money on trading and other activities happens all the time. All in all Bitcoin gave me another opportunity to grab a position where people just stay relaxed.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of Thrones - Who will rule? Odds and betting discussion [Odds updated!] on: April 16, 2019, 05:22:14 PM
I will choose Gendry as the ruler for the end of season 8, It's because I believe that if they would win the war against the army of the dead and if Jon and Dany would still be alive, they would elope and leave the rest to the Bastards son of Robert Baratheon. Well their sigil was the one who is holding the 7 kingdoms when it started airing and I think it will end on their behalf too. Just my imagination though.
1199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Cofounder: ETH to Rise 1000x and Become Global Settlement on: April 16, 2019, 03:54:57 PM
Joseph Lubin, the cofounder of Ethereum, believes Ethereum will rise 1000x - implying a price of over $150,000 for ETH - and will become a global settlement layer. I think this view is overly optimistic, but Ethereum is likely to still be around in 2025.

https://www.newsbtc.com/2019/04/10/joseph-lubin-ethereum-eth-will-be-a-global-settlement-layer-and-prices-rise-1000x/

What do you think?

No matter what happens to eth, I will hold some of it. Basically I only mined some eths and sold it when it was around 1k USD and now I stop mining due to electricity bills. But I kept my eth so if the price jumps to that speculated price then that would too awesome for us.
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - A Game of Luck or Strategy on: April 16, 2019, 04:33:10 AM
I do believe in strategy bets in some sports like cyber sports(DOTA 2, CSGO< PUGB etc).  Here you could see archives on the internet if you want to research their history of game plays and come to a point where you should bet on them or not base on their performance as a team or individually. Well in the dice games and other cards and casino games, we hardly to be able to come up an a strategy and just bet on luck.
