It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Yeah sure you can do this, depending what you define as a small amount.
On Poloniex for example, you can deposit as little BTC or altcoins as you like and start trading, they don't seem to have any minimum deposit requirements listed.

How much do you have to start trading with? If it's just dust it's obviously not going to be enough for the fees etc.

With small amount you can take a look at some ICO such as CarTaxi, Airtoken I though it's 70% off vs ICO price.
So I'm sure you will gain some profit and trade with another alt after that

As far as there are smaller units(fractions) in every currency, you can actually start a trade with a small amount regarding it gives you a value worth of the currency you intend to buy. But your input, determines the output/return you would get in terms of profit.
You definitely can start with a small amount.

yes agree. Make some investment first before you trade cause bitcoin current price on trading now aday is to high not affordable. So seek some ico that accepts such low amount to invest then if you gain much then do a trade.  Which is buy a token with a small price the hold until you cope or reach the price of bitcoin then exchange to bitcoin then hold again. Or wait until bitcoin value goes down cause bitcoin always fluctuated maybe it will give you a chance to buy a cheap price.  Like what happened before bitcoin fall deeply and after 2 days it jump again and surge 10k as you see the value now adays.

You are not millionaire so don't trade a cryptocurrency. Because this is also one of the gambling any time it will more profit or more loss in your money. Small amount is also money so don't waste the money first you should gain some knowledge in cryptocurrency and you will try to join some projects after you will invest in trading. This is the right way in trading.

How to start a trade with small amount? I am not a millionaire.I have just some money.I want to trade with my small amount. Can I do this? Then how?

Yes, of course, you can. I have seen many good traders who started small and then as they started to really learn the ins and outs of the trading business with cryptocurrency they became polished and now earning a good income out of their trading skills. Aside from having some capital, it is always advisable for anyone to familiarize himself with the market, the platform he is using and the feel of the cryptocurrency market. Aside from skills and education, I also believe that there are really people who are more inclined to succeed into this type of an enterprise. I also tried trading from time to time and I am still learning the rope but I guess this is not really for me and so sometimes prefer someone whom I trust so much to do the trading for me. May you always be inspired by the success of the top traders and do not ever give up your dreams.

Of course you can trade with a small amount of money, that is actually recommended for beginners. But before you even register for an exchange, I would take as much time as you can learning. Be sure to learn technical analysis and the fundamentals of the coins out there you wish to trade. There are also books on trading and tons and tons of resources on youtube and articles on the internet. Go for it. Just educate yourself. That will save you money.

We are at the same spot right now, but in my case I already start trading. You know the drill, buy low sell high. I even made 3-4 dollars a day all in all. Don't laugh at me because it's only an experiment and my capital is very low (around .007 BTC) and only ETH-BTC and vice versa. Start and learn now, if you have more capital at least you'll be ready for the big one. By the way I am only using CoinEx, I haven't tried other exchanges like Poloniex or Bitfinex etc, as I said I am only new to trading. Best of lucks out there and happy trading.

The amount of bitcoin or money you started trading does not matter, what matter most is to trade and make profit consistently although you may incur some few losses but with a good money management you will be able to grow your capital and become a better trader.

First know yourself and your mind, whether they are capable of having emotional anti disturbance skills? In easy words if you are going to be emotional trader then leave the trading out of your mind because when you play with the small amount you have to be very keen and stubborn about the investment that you are making.

The first move would be getting to know best coins avaible in the market for trading your money. The better the market capitalism of the coin the better is the coins future really. So choose coins with more than 10-15 million dollar market cap. They will be secure investment for you.

Secondly, try to get into coins and then try to hold them for very long period or until the period when you see you have made great profits already. That will make you succeful person while trading with small amounts.

Of course you can start with a small amount but it really depends upon you budget that how much small the amount is because there are other expenses on exchanges so the amount should be according to it.You can invest in some coins with good potential and return because btc and ETH price is too high for everyone to afford. Many started their journey with small things and then on the way gain experience and knowledge and became millionaires so you can also become if you are not currently just hope for your betterment.

The simplest way is not to worry about it. Find an exchange, there are many. Then send up some money and purchase some BTC. Then transfer your funds to your own wallet.

As you get more sophisticated look into purchasing altcoins where transaction fees are lower. When you don't have much money the transaction fees buying BTC may be higher than you're willing to pay.

Nonetheless you simply need to start. Even if the tx fee is a large percent of your BTC - just start.

Some people in this thread are recommending starting with ICOs, but I think that's a bad idea. If you're new to trading, there's a much higher likelihood that you'll buy in to a scam/worthless ICO.

When I started trading I gave myself $100 to start with. I researched as many coins as I could and looked for trends and patterns in established coins. I've made some mistakes along the way, but those mistakes helped me develop rules for myself and hone my strategy. I've managed to grow my investment by more than 25% over what it would be if I had just left it in BTC. That's not terribly high and I'm sure many people here have gained 100% or more, but I think it's pretty good for a beginner.

True in terms of trading it doesn't matter if how much would you spend and take money to trade for what the most important is on how would you make a lot of profit on it the matter of fact on how patiently you are while you are holding that coin.

If you are not knowledgable about trading you should not venture into it as you will think it is easy to trade. Trading demand alot of practicing and development of skills and knowledge and if you are not skillful you are going to lose money. You can start with 10% of your current holdings and practices until you can show profit in your trading account before putting really money.

It will be better if you just buy some altcoins and hold it at least for one year. Some coins get 5000% gain for each year but you need to do your own research. imagine if you get 5000% in return for only one year and start to trade with that profit Cheesy
