2101  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Technical indicators vs the News on: May 10, 2023, 06:15:15 PM
Analysing the trend of the crypto market can be very complicated
It gets complicated when you haven't invested the time to learn how to analyze the markets, know how to read charts , know which news really affects crypto and the alike...

base on the fact that their are two major deciding factor in price analysis when trading, which are the technical indicators an news about a project.
Deciding factors not really true, these are more like fundamental signals to what will likely happen in the markets. Otherwise market makers, whales and the alike do influence how markets move ...

I have not been in the crypto space for not too long but I have come to the conclusion that the news is more influential in the trend of the market than the technical indicators, guys what do you think?
Those who trade know very well that indicators lag and isn't advisable to use them unlessthey work for but trading without them using a naked chart can make you catch a move before it even starts.
2102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is it to keep your bitcoin investments secret from others ? on: May 10, 2023, 03:47:57 PM
Terrible experience for that crypto investor!

These days people are desperate to have a piece of that success and things that involve money(finances), investments, what assets you own should not be shared with strangers and to some extent this should be kept away from some family members who could forcefully try to inherit all this by cutting your life short...if you have to share I suppose your spouse and kids and maybe siblings should be in the know should something happen to you.
Otherwise lets not give this information to every Jim and Jack!
2103  Other / Meta / Re: Restrict newbies from posting in the lending board? on: May 10, 2023, 12:24:47 PM
This is a 50/50 approach afaik, if loans are accessible by users with collateral there is definitely no restriction on rank, it just gets bad when newbies with no reputation  whatsoever start posting loan requests when they know very well they don't  qualify for one and won't get it anywhere...

Alternative to the proposed is giving out soft bans to newbies requesting  for loans without collateral and if the user is a repeat offender then the nuke can be deployed(permanent Ban).

Btw are we saying newbies can't offer loans if the lending board becomes off limit to them?
2104  Economy / Economics / Re: What to do with all guy who loss money to stock market on: May 10, 2023, 12:10:50 PM
You cant always take someone's word for it because the person that will be taking the real risk and losing money is you and not that third party! Besides the game of investing  requires you do your own due diligence before you commit  resources to such projects...and fyi proper risk management is required here if you dont want to lose everything in one shot.

This is roulette
If you have the experience and knowledge can will still call this roulette or this will apply to beginners Huh
2105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Awareness: Bitcoin logos on T-Shirts on: May 09, 2023, 11:00:39 PM
One of the influencer in my country has started the business of selling the shirts with bitcoin logo on it. This will not only help him get some business but at the same time, it is a step towards the crypto awareness.
It had to take an influencer to make this bold move when the real OGs of crypto watch from a distance and in the shadows...Its understandable as people respect their privacy and don't want to let the world know  of their tech hobbies but this BTC  t-shirt branding is a great idea if masses do actually buy and put on the Ts on a regular basis, otherwise  exchanges and gambling companies are doing the most as they have these sponsorship deals with big teams which get the visibility boost out there.

I don't see many Bitcoin logos anywhere on clothing, it would be a great marketing scheme to see it on the streets. I've seen shoes on the internet with the bitcoin logo but never seen anyone wearing them. Hope to see those T-Shirts in real life one day
If you are a sports fan, several teams have this on their shirts and ads running on stadium led billboards and what not.

2106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 09, 2023, 07:45:12 PM
Real Madrid have sucked up the city pressure well and now playing comfortably on their home turf, and I must admit the citizens looked like they were in control in the early minutes of the game, but this turned around quickly  and put Real Madrid ahead thanks to a beautiful  shot from Vinicius Jr and it will be difficult to put them out of the competition with how they are now playing.

Dejavu about to strike again, and we havent  heard much from Halaad either...tough game.
2107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 09, 2023, 07:02:46 PM
Looking at current market price for Real Madrid @3 odds to win this game does tell you the current affairs of what's going to happen tonight, I know these guys tend to pull surprises when we least expect them to, but today is different, and that beast of a player named Halaad should be fired up for this game to make a mark in the UEFA competition and their current form should help them cross the line...

My prediction, Real Madrid 0-2 Manchester City
2108  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Off-chain mixers on: May 09, 2023, 05:48:23 PM
Bonjour,

I am searching for off-chain type of mixer/échanger service. Any recommendations for moi?

Merci  Smiley
Off-chain kind of mixer not sure about this but the closest I know that connects off-chain to the on chain data  is Chainlinlk...which also has nothing to do with mixing!

OP so will this new project you have in the pipeline  interact with BTC or altcoins will be in this equation too?
2109  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 100K FOR 2024 ! on: May 09, 2023, 05:38:43 PM

65K Last year record price ever !

I think this year it might be full 100K Final bullrun for the coin.
Unfortunately Bitcoin doesn't work this way by beating whatever high that was left the other year to set new highs the following year.
For highs to be made, something has to stimulate the markets say new regulation, influential or big country adopting crypto or someone like Elon Musk twits or signals a positive that the world should support the stride made by crypto coins. Otherwise price àction does suggest a bullish trend , just not sure if it will have the momentum to reach 100k.

Nice project name but this being an altcoin won't really pull users as this isn't really unique !
And what have these guys done different that isn't already on the market??

And that 10 minute reward, is that the block time because if it is then thats a low blow for a project built on one of the fastest blockchains when compared to others such as Bitcoin that even experience a clogged network in those 10 minutes  Tongue
And why the huge totally supply..does this mean periodic burns will be in the pipeline to keep its price positive..
2112  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: FBI disrupts 9 crypto exchanges used to facilitate criminal activities on: May 09, 2023, 02:26:34 PM
I wonder how the FBI or exchange users got themselves to these unknown exchanges ,because I expected this to be with larger exchanges were liquidity is not a problem and they have a larger userbase...besides you can't hide behind a small exchange because all users are unique and they know the traits of each user and a person can easily be spotted!

Btw wonder why these guys didn't simply use a mixer or something if they have the skills to do their illegally sh*t, guess not so smart after all Roll Eyes

2114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the transaction fee and mempool congestion increasing ? on: May 08, 2023, 10:20:24 PM
Since the past few days (probably a week), Im observing that the bitcoin transaction fee (for a tx to get confirmed and included in the next block) has increased to an unreasonable level and is not ready to come down. My tx used to get confirmed at 1sat/vB in the past months. I was just curious to know as to what has caused this sudden congestion in the mempool? I cant find a reason.

Because a plague named NFT hit Bitcoin blockchain. Those greedy bustards inscribe more than 5k NFT in each block.. Seekers of easy money load a lot of traffic to blockchain, making every low fee transaction stuck there for days and weeks, which turns into fee increase. These bustards are turning BTC blockchain into ETH Cheesy Remember times when transactions on Ethereum cost +50 bucks and still could fail? We can get same in BTC. Funny that those people will be first to complain that they no longer can pay few cents for transaction Cheesy
With bitcoins block times these NFT treasure hunters are just hurting the network if this is whats behind the surge in transaction fees and the ought to be ashamed  of themselves...can't they pick on a different  blockchain that won't hurt their pocket while they are it.

Talking of ethereum and network clogging,  what was it again..the cat game, cryptocats cant even recall the name but it was bad ,good thing it didn't last long lol.
2115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 08, 2023, 09:34:25 PM
Nottingham Forest and Everton were able to rise above the relegation zone today... I remember Everton doing something similar last year too, but for now they need to keep playing as well... I honestly didn't expect Brighton to lose by such a big score... Just today said they had tough opponents ahead but they lost to Everton... Grin
Everton always wanting to live life on the edge and these few games that are remaining  will really put most teams in the lower batch fighting  for any possible points available...and one team I thought would fight their way out of the bottom  is Leicester  but clearly they have run out of ideas to change the narrative after that Fulham beating of 5 goals to 2, and their is no way of coming out of this, the foxes are going !!

Talking of Brighton,  whatever happened today could only be explained by a possibility  of tired legs as most are playing without rotating players and this has taken a toll on their bodies and mental  wellbeing!
2116  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where do I keep crypto after buying it? on: May 08, 2023, 09:00:33 PM
If I want to buy crypto, then I believe I have to go to a broker or an exchange (assuming I don't know someone who wants to sell me some).
Technically you don't need to know someone, if you choose to buy btc from the forum you wouldn't have to know the other person,  besides exchanges such as Binance have a peer to peer section were you can buy your coins at best value for your buck without needing to know the other guy.

So I've got to pay them. Are they regulated enough that I can be confident that they won't just run off with my money once I've paid them? Can I pay be credit card? Then, once I have bought from the broker or exchange, do they transfer the crypto to a wallet that I control?
Everybody has had a different  experience with these exchanges and we can't all say you should feel like your funds are in safe hands, but all I can say is once those coins hit your exchange wallet you are free to do whatever you like....hodl using exchange **not recommended ** withdraw coins to your personal wallet that you have full custody  of or move to a cold wallet and forget about them till btc price soars to ATH.

Also, is there an advantage to buying from a broker over buying on an exchange?

Thanks
The only advantage should be price as compared to buying from other platforms that can charge a premium on fees plus high withdraw charges.

Nice to have a breather this week and good luck to Pulsar in the cup semi finals, i'm rooting for you to go all the way so that my elimination in the early round won't be wasted.   Wink
"The man, the myth, the legend"  Just how has Pulsar77 stayed off the radar while pulling these top drawer performances when it was needed the most...I mean not only is he/she a semi finalist  but just handed out the first defeat to our league leader and surely deserves the support to go the extra mile in division 3..
With what I have seen , feel compelled to rally behind this champ...let's go team P77, do it for division 3 (Possibility of a D3 final 50%) Roll Eyes

Btw team cro2, looking at the spreadsheet and those  questions that require us to give a list of names ,[in the future] is it possible to have an extra point for naming all said teams regardless of order besides scoring points for the correct order just to have a tiebreaker...because you can't be scoring the same number of points if someone named 10 players out of 11 against someone that named 1 out 11 ..this is in reference to the  Bundesliga...
2119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 07, 2023, 10:56:56 PM
Unpopular opinion.
Kane is overrated and at his age, he can't be worth more than 50 mil.

Considering his age, he is almost 30 and that he is English, he will stay in Premier League.
Agreed, and for a player that isn't so popular outside the walls of England, his definitely going nowhere, and reading between  the lines he could retire a legend at Spurs if he doesn't move to another club.
And with how competitive the league is getting I see a situation were Kane retires prematurely just to create room for some new talent, otherwise Kane's time is almost over.

Kane rumours are getting more and more every day. The most recent rumoured teams with him are Manchester United and Bayern Munich recently. Both teams would really make use of such top striker transfer for increasing the scoring productivity
United and Bayern not a chance, his missed the opportunity to move their while he was in his prime...at the moment his better off moving to America or Saudi Arabia where they could use some free league marketing.

Wowsers Verstappen kicking arse today like Arsenal kicked Newcastle's , I didnt know how to answer that question, cheers to who did. Grin Grin
Lol Arsenal try to catch up with their own shadow,  they will not win this title but great game from them and expected a better performance from Newcastle not what we saw today Tongue

5.3 seconds what a #$&@ driver, Sergio Perez didn't see this coming after looking like he was taking it home as the hot favourite ,but what can I say team Redbull is doing the most...these cars are destroying the competition at will,  hope team Mercedes will come through stronger in the next meet (EMILIA ROMAGNA GRAND PRIX)
