Out here looking at some of the transferred out players and among the top five ...my marksman made the list, which is disappointing!

If there is a forward I thought was impressive and deserved regular game time.. it was going to be Joćo Pedro, but ever since GW2 its been a disaster for this lad and starting him from the bench hasn't rewarded him with decent points and for this reason time to retire him and disappointing Jackson  Undecided
1202  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for ways to improve my knowledge on cryptocurrency on: September 15, 2023, 04:52:26 PM
Hey guys am a newbie here, and I was ways to make or earn funds via online, and then an old friend told me about Bitcoin forum.
Welcome to the forum, hope you are still in touch with your old buddy so that he/she helps make your stay here smooth [assuming your friend has been here long enough to know the ins & outs of the forum].

Btw, that earn online catchphrase should be treated as a secondary goal.. as the first priority is to gain and share knowledge with others, happy bitcoin talking Cool
What are possible ways to earn from the platform and whats involved  not forgetting how I can make progress in my journey in the crypto world .
 Help is needed
The secret to learning more about cryptocurrencies is sticking around the forum for a start & reading various threads as we have vast information readily available for free, and another great source of knowledge is the various news websites that will keep you update with what's happening around the world of crypto ranging from regulation, security, new developments etc and probably will send you word hunting once you start to follow them.
1203  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit withdrawal pending for over 16 hours on: September 15, 2023, 03:21:26 PM
One last thing, is this the first time you have deposited and withdrawn without wagering anything? Because such act seems shady ngl.
If anything, most sportsbooks/casinos don't actually process such withdrawal requests as it looks like someone trying to wash their money...

But from what OP wrote saying ''The withdrawal queue has now been processed'' is a positive thing especially since the message says processed should be seen as a good thing unlike locking you out of your account or something...

no this time I didnt wager anything but I have made sports bets like a week ago on rollbit. Now the agent is telling me to kyc but apparently documents from my country are not accepted but my country is not on the 'restricted countries' list
So whats happening here Huh
  • Has your withdrawal request been processed??
  • Or they requested you to go through their KYC process before the withdraw/after the withdraw request which looks like you didn't complete?
which is which has you didn't mention KYC in the opening page?

Trading or investment! What's your take?
My take would be not to put all your eggs in one basket, especially since anything can happen like a hack, health could be affected, regulation etcetera

Besides, in today's world we live in, it is actually not a bad idea to be a trade of all jacks & master of none as this is a diversifying plan that will reduce your risk exposure if you decide to choose one and commit 100% to it...Unless your skills or interests limit you to choose only one then you can be biased in this case.

I will choose investment not trading. Because investing is the easiest and least risky way to earn bitcoins. Trading is like gambling and is high risk.
The fact that both trading and investing have their strengths and weaknesses and risks of course, don't you think we can say if you don't go in with skill or informed decisions both will be treated as gambling  because we can lose more in either one of them Roll Eyes

1205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Countries living behind their century, taking a back sit on BTC evolution. on: September 15, 2023, 12:49:57 PM
Bangladesh, Domican Republic,  Bolivia, Nepal, Ghana,  Algeria and a host of other nations seems not to understand the times and seasons as regards world changing currency BTC, despite being accepted in most part of the world.
Their governments might not recognize BTC,  but I believe these guys still use cryptocurrencies as it's not easy to get ban Roll Eyes

I personally think more awareness about  the benefits of trading with cryptocurrencies needs to be created particularly in nations where there are restrictions and banned on cryptocurrencies and also it should  be made more simple for easy use no matter the level of one  literacy. More work is needed. What are your thoughts?
Unfortunately awareness alone won't make it easy for regulation or acceptance, because like here you talking about trading and when it comes to trading bitcoin can easily distabilize one economy as its a currency too and to protect whats already there like bonds, investors, local currency  etc you need a government agency to regulate these securities ( whatever btc will deemed to be) tbh it's not that easy especially if the government is to be involved.

If it were up to me, I would rather let BTC run as a parallel currency/asset without really recognizing it as legal tender.
1206  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Was it my fault or not? on: September 15, 2023, 10:19:59 AM
Was it my fault?
Sorry about your wrongful incarceration, but here is what I think using an example...

Your situation was like giving someone a loaded gun and asking if it is your fault for them going on a rampage shooting at everything that moves and you do not want to be implicated in it...might not be the best example but you introduced your boss to cryptocurrencies without proper guidance especially that you are running a business and most likely very much aware that crypto transactions are irreversible.

The best approach was to start with baby steps to get the boss familiar with this ecosystem, a few YouTube videos or something to get them to know how crypto works before jumping to wallets and the alike, by now he would have known the dos and donts, but unfortunately he had to learn the hard way.
1207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 15, 2023, 06:37:42 AM
Chelsea wasted a lot of money on transfers they just wanted superstars in their team and paid big money but that isnt how football goes. You need players that can go well with each other and thats why Chelsea keeps on having bad matches and looks like another bad season if they dont change something quick.
Don't you think if Chelsea choose to target less known players it's fans would crucify them for that..and the only way through this is to get superstars to get what fans want despite the fact that you can't buy success this way.

Btw Chelsea as a business has had good business over the years in terms of buying and selling of players as they don't allow players to walk out on them as free agents and lose out on revenue,  so their books do balance and it's money well spent on these big names at the end of the day.

Chelsea's coach hoped a lot on Nkunku to start the season for Chelsea, but they were met with disappointment as he got injured. Chelsea has many injury problems and not what the coach would  have planned for.
Is this not putting too much pressure on a player by making the situation look like they have no other players that can help Chelsea bring the results besides Nkuku Huh

He has to now just meet expectations with the available players. Chelsea are not very impressive yet, but they can be, there is already the sign of improvement in the team,  they just need to be able to finish the chances that they create.
Chelsea has so much raw talent and needs a coach/manager to mould it to the perfect talent otherwise it's make or break for these guys.
1208  Other / Meta / Re: The comment layout is awful here on: September 14, 2023, 08:27:21 PM
Just wondering how much of an upgrade simple machines offers, as I thought everything needs to be kept simple...incase this swings in favor of a new look,do we have other forums that have managed to fork SMF that can be used as a reference point and maybe put this up for a vote to get BCT a face-lift.
But then again I honestly don't see a reason to get the the forum a new sleeve as as the current one is fully functional, besides we have 2FA in the pipeline which we are yet to try around..but overall not a bad idea to give SMF a modern look.
1209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How will you feel if it happens to you just like this? on: September 14, 2023, 06:59:16 PM
People like those (me) who don't gamble for fun have this question to answer: how will you feel when you don't have money to stake a game that you predicted and better winning games you predicted played the way you predicted it and when you checked the winning was something that could have changed your life for ever if you didn't gambled again after such winning?
Unfortunately when it comes to gambling,  for some weird reason whenever you don't get to play but predict an outcome...I bet you the result usually goes that way and you feel this would have been a good catch. But truth be told, when you don't play..you don't use emotions, no fear whatsoever and your mind is clear which is why this works but when it's your money on the line the dynamics change...Which is why I have accepted that you can not win everything.

Quite provocative but the best sober advice you can get for free!!
Besides I think these phones in terms of technology have hit their peak and have nothing left to upgrade but because we get trapped into having to upgrade every year for no real upgrades..I honestly think it's a ripoff and good thing we have such threads to act as an eye opener...Unless you still using an iPhone with the home button then you are due for an upgrade my friend, otherwise save that money and buy bitcoin or Invest the DCA way  Cool
1212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: September 14, 2023, 12:04:32 AM
The last time I watched a Mixed martial art fighter try boxing it was very disappointing because both fighters didn't care how it went down because they were getting paid handsomely and really failed to put up a good show imo...

But for this one, I think it will be different because  Francis Ngannou uses his fists mostly to knock out his opponents which will make this match exciting..and him having a Tyson in his corner makes it even more exciting as he will learn new tricks to his arsenal in trying to take down the Gypsy King in his own sport and that power punch will come in handy...

Its been awhile since we had a proper heavy weight fight and this one is a must watch!
1213  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Heartwarming as Binance donates $3 Million in BNB to it's users in Morocco on: September 13, 2023, 10:35:53 PM
Saw the news the other day, the videos , pictures that were shared were just so touching and this goes to show the brute might of nature  Cry

Otherwise, thanks to Binance for this humanitarian gesture to the people of Morocco, just hope other crypto businesses will do the same to cement our existence on the world map and make it easy for cryptocurrencies to break these borders should regulation call.

but he is trying to kill two birds with one stone, the media coverage of this issue, the increase in the number of Moroccan users and the failure to pay anything, as this offer will only lead to a temporary decrease in the price.
CZ seizing the moment at the right moment, perhaps some PR stunt  Roll Eyes

can Bitcoin provide food for our table
On its own, not possible!

In today's world we live in, to make money you literally need money itself, same thing with Bitcoin...you want bitcoin to work for you to bring food to your table, you need to own it then hodl and get profits off it whenever it gains... otherwise everyone needs to perform some kind of service to get paid in bitcoin just like we get money in real life.

If we expect BTC to be airdropped for doing nothing, then we have a negative perception about cryptocurrencies as a whole!

Bit coin can provide food for us buy investing on it an trading on it as means of exchange, you can buy bit coin an keep them when it rise you sell an purchase any types of item you want to buy.
Well said, which means it isn't any different from any currency out there as we need to work for it...

Can money be saved in gambling sites?
Yes money can be saved there, but the problem with gambling sites is that they can close if they do not have much traffic to their platforms, they can be hacked to the point of no return as they lose all their money, they can pull an exit scam... I think the reasons not to keep money on a gambling platform outweigh the reasons why you can save on these sites. For anybody that loves their peace of mind better keep a small amount you can afford to lose and be able to play with if you choose to gamble.

this thread reminds of me of what happened to Stake recently where they just got hacked. not sure if the coins of the users were also compromised but hopefully not after all Stake is very rich and can refund all.
Just because we know that the company lost millions in this hack doesn't automatically make them "Rich" especially that these companies do get external financing to look financially healthy we shouldn't get everything at face value...but if their liabilities and investors can all be accounted for and still have $$$ left in their bank account I guess we can call them rich!
1217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big capital, small risk or small capital big risk - which is best approach? on: September 13, 2023, 12:14:53 PM
My preference: Big capital, small risk

If you are in it for the long term wins, maybe the best combination is big capital, small risk for higher winning opportunities.. though this isn't guaranteed to work has gambling is a 50-50 activity, but then again when we talk about risk management we might want to minimize our risk exposure by playing with small capital for the big risk combination but here winning percentage is automatically low as you arent winning regularly.

But unfortunately if we compare the two side by side, someone wagering $1000 on small risk games is better off than someone placing $100 bets on 5 odds that only wins after 6,7,8 tries as the losses will add up and the player is likely going to start chasing their losses...unless the small capital guy wins regularly then he/she could have a better hand and bankroll.

Btw if you go with the Big capital, small risk then you need a winning percentage greater than 50% otherwise you are in the negative, as for the small capital big risk, if capital isn't a problem and you play win a minimum of 5odds then you need a winning percentage of not less than 35% and you win still be profitable, so choose wisely.
1218  Economy / Economics / Re: Teaching My Nephews About Wealth Through the Game of Monopoly on: September 13, 2023, 10:33:51 AM
I think a game of Monopoly fits the profile for what you can teach kids with, especially since it shows them the power of money in building an empire in real estate, being able to pay fines to avoid jail, and all that. To be honest, I think it is among the few games you will get that today that will teach anybody into board games a lesson in Wealth management.

The Monopoly game is only a simplified investment simulator. And the fact that a child plays the game well will not guarantee a result for him if he does not master the skills of an investor, but perhaps the game will shape the child’s interest in studying finance.
Simplified investment simulator yes but getting to study finance I don't think so, maybe develop an interest in a high paying job to be able to build one's empire, and if its a kid its the parent / guardian to guide the child on which professions/occupations will make this possible.
1219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do we benefit in lies in forum on: September 13, 2023, 08:03:44 AM
I want the reason behind someone given a fiction story to the forum.
First and foremost giving a fictitious story isn't really against the forum as this could be done as a way to get the conversation going, though if you lie about something happening against another user and this is proved you could actually be negatively tagged for it!

Other reasons could be:
  • trying to get merit for it
  • trying to meet signature quota
  • its someone's nature and it is in their DNA
  • attention seeking

I want ask a question as an old forum user, is it not prohibited when someone discussed something that is not contrary to bitcoin education in this board.
Prohibited don't think so but It depends on where this lie is being told and if it's being directed to a user then the narative changes as this could be a reputation case...

Instead of formulating what is not real to write, it's better to make research of bitcoin and educate others through your research, some people make some posts without making it to be informative, some gives testimonies of their achievement with bitcoin without proven the evidence. I think we are to exchange of bitcoin knowledge and share experience's of bitcoins to each other not to give a fake information of what Bitcoin has done to you without evidence.
Telling lies is about having that moral campus, and besides even in real life we have people that will narrate a real life story with a little bit of some lies in it just to make it more interesting to the listerners/readers .
1220  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Binance and multiple citizenship on: September 12, 2023, 10:07:14 PM
Am pretty sure that when Binance services aren't offered in one country, for example country A as OP put it, usually these guys will just geofence all IPs from country A to deny anybody from there from using their services.

And if you so happen to have dual citizenship from country Bor C and register for a new account from a whitelisted territory, then there is no reason to ban you unless you use a bank card connected to the old account or something...

Otherwise new account, new documents, and using the same name gets you a new identity as we have lots of people with the same names!
