Still 1/4 of the USD worth of longs... Is it not worrying to you that one of the reasons we should pump is just a temporary short squeeze (that might not even happen at all)? Is that the reason people should buy bitcoin at this price after having seen this crash? Because of a short squeeze? This 'crash' is someone dumping through support in a thin market on a weekend - using a lot of borrowed coins to do so. Those 20k shorts on finex have to be bought back. Bitcoin is a highly speculative long term play. Why should anyone buy in now? Well the price is 75% down from the recent ATH. It has been supported at levels far higher than this for over a year. It may be pushed lower, just means I get to buy more each month! |

So you perma-bulls are saying that since BTC price crashed but recovered in the past when it was worth nothing and a lot less new fiat coming in was necessary to pump the price that means every crash today is just a bear trap?
Even after one year of bear market (never happened before) even after seeing prices reaching a low that was not seen since 2013 even after having broke the previous bubble high (never happened before) even after having broke a multi-year support trend line (never happened before)?

Ponder this: The blockchain can theoretically handle a maximum of 2.7 transactions per second. Meanwhile, Mastercard, Visa and other credit card companies, are handling literally millions of transactions per second. Bitcoin takes an hour to get the necessary six confirmations for each transaction. And -- unlike credit cards and other payment options -- it has zero consumer protection, zero user-friendliness and zero utility (unless you wanna buy drugs or child porn). It's just insane how this shitty, slow ponzi scheme technology has managed to stay in the triple digit price range for so long. It's only been possible due to fraudulent exchanges and Gox bot manipulation schemes. I'm glad to see the cultists failing to lure innocent newbies into this imploding pyramid scheme. Some people are here in this forum not because they want to buy your bags rebuy cheaper, but simply because bitcoin is backed by gold. Comedy gold.  I think you'll find that with the exception of a few Edward50's, Nagles etc that everyone else is either a holder, a mad skills trader, or simply waiting to buy back (lambtroll, Exo, trolls) and talking Bitcoin down until it turns. |

It's going to be a slow move downward, slower as the price decreases. It will take some time before we hold below $300 for even a day.
I think $200 will come fairly quicker than you think once it stays in the $2XX range for a day.
I see the interest in bitcoin weakening, it had its time in the spotlight.
Now I see a bunch of clowns talking about unsustainable high prices, trying to get people to tell other people about it, really just a get rich scam now for people who came in late and think bitcoin will somehow just shoot up again to ridiculous numbers.
Basically it had its shot to be accepted mainstream and it failed. I personally also didn't like using it that much because of the security threats and the very slow transfer times. Basically the more I used bitcoin the more I came to understand just how well fiat currencies work and allow you to diversify into other things like stocks, real estate, etc.
But this is just my opinion here.
And your opinion has been consistently and totally wrong since you failed to buy bitcoins in 2011. You didn't see bitcoin's value at 2 dollars - that must sting! If Bitcoin does continue to thrive and bubbles a couple of more times then your posts could even become famous. That is the beauty of the Internet. |
