yeah, i cant sleep and enter polo to take a look, just share info, im out btc. so others in comunity can take advantaje.  Wink

Thanks for your concern. There has been more selling of DNotes than we have seen for quite sometime. Our core supporters are always adding more DNotes to their stake. We will continue to do that and commit to a significant PR budget to promote better awareness of DNotes.

We are on schedule to launch CRISP For Students next week. This will be supported by another press release with far reaching distribution to include the education market and the Chicago land area. On a long term prospective, DNotes is adding fundamental values to its ecosystem everyday.

That is what is important, the building blocks and reaching to different segments of Society..I have been with DNOTES from day 1 and love the way it has grown.. I bought over 70 Dnotes the other day before my migraine just from clicking faucets for a few days..It's amazing how they add up..will add them and a few more to my pension plan.. This is a Crypto not to be messed with..

Thanks, Qiwoman2. Your support and confidence in DNotes is well appreciated. My view of a long term investment is 5 to 10 years in the business world. Unfortunately, in the digital currency world, long term is measured by the weeks or months. DNotes is likely to have the largest number of long term stakeholders who have committed their investment for years. That is where the real payoff is.

Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh

We are helping out as much as we can and let the free market takes care of itself. Long term stakeholders should take this as a buying opportunity.

This is a dated article but strongly re-enforced my vision of the massive potential for DNotes to be the digital currency of the future with fully integrated land-based and mobile global payment network systems with DNotesVault, exchange and banking systems.

Biometric authentication using smart wearables will be completely unobtrusive to the eye.
Anyone with a smart phone and a loaded DNotesVault account will have the liquid assets at his finger tip anytime anywhere. The owner of the private key and the smart phone, once biometrically confirmed, is the rightful owner to the account at DNotesVault. The unbanked today will become their own bank. This will happen in less than 10 years. That is what drives and inspires me everyday. At less than two pennies, DNotes has a lot of room to grow.

Payments in 10 years: Very different
www.mobilepaymentstoday.com
Jan. 9, 2015
By Andy Brown, Product Marketing Manager, Alaric Systems Ltd.

The payments industry has gone through some pretty rapid changes over the last 10 years or so, but just where will we be a decade from now?

Analyzing recent trends and estimating where these can take us is part of the process, but can only take you so far. If the last 10 years has taught us anything, it's that disruptive technologies can shift the course of events in a way few would expect.

Cash demand will hold firm despite all
Recent trends will continue to play out in the cash space. Cash will continue to feel a slight squeeze in developed markets, but play a stronger role elsewhere.

"Cash might diminish in use in some regions (Western Europe for example), but will elsewhere continue to be used for cultural reasons," says the World Payments Report 2014 from Capgemini and Royal Bank of Scotland.

Nevertheless, electronic payments will also increase as more consumers are exposed to services such as payment cards and mobile money. Closed loop payment instruments such as prepaid cards will become more popular.

Everything will be real time
The faster payments concept has now been deployed in a handful of countries but the biggest demand is from consumers and businesses.

Regulatory pressure in most countries will push the banks to establish real time payment transfer systems that will then become embedded in new services offered by banks and other players. International trading links and competition from cryptocurrencies will then drive cross border real-time payment systems.

Cryptocurrencies will stick around — in some form
Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin have an uncertain future. While enthusiasts hail these as the future of money, others remain to be convinced. Untangling the web of complexity around them will be crucial for their success.

By 2024 we see them triumphing as a means of exchange — as a payment method. But as a store of value it's hard to see any stability lasting.

"These currencies could change the way traditional payments are made, however the real (as opposed to virtual) value part of the transaction will reside with a PSP [payment service provider]," said the WPR 2014.

Two factors they provide that people will still want in 10 years are anonymity and the ability to transfer funds in real time globally, across borders. Cryptocurrency technology will enable a plethora of local currencies to be developed.

Biometric authentication will end the PIN
Biometric authentication could be the single biggest change we see over the next 10 years as the PIN slowly gives way to fingerprint, heartbeat, iris and facial recognition technologies.

Banks will migrate ATMs to biometric authentication, while retailers won't even have to invest in more advanced POS technology, as smartphones will enable biometric-authenticated transactions in store.
Gartner says that as early as 2016, biometric sensors will be featured in 40 percent of smartphones shipped to end-users. Meanwhile, Visa and MasterCard plan to ditch their online passcode systems Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode in favor of biometric technology next year.
By 2024, all online transactions will be verified through a biometric method.

By 2024, all online transactions will be verified through a biometric method.
Wearables will become seamless

Clunky and a bit too obvious in 2014, in the next 10 years wearable payment technology will become embedded in our daily lives as devices become easier and more attractive to wear.

Gartner predicts that by 2017, 30 percent of smart wearables will be completely unobtrusive to the eye.
"Smart contact lenses are one type in development, said Annette Zimmermann, research director at the firm. "Another interesting wearable that is emerging is smart jewelery. Obtrusive wearables already on the market, like smart glasses, are likely to develop new designs that disguise their technological components completely."

Data convergence will create a single entry point
Currently, customer data is spread across multiple layers — financial institutions, card providers, retailers, utility providers, Internet companies, governments and so on.

We have different accounts and logins for every part of our lives. In 10 years' time, we could see the convergence of data into a single place, and a single point of entry to it all.

Central to this will be the use of biometrics to ensure security while not offering the same levels of convenience. Indeed it will be the disruptive force of biometrics that will lead this change, as separate PINs or passcodes will become redundant.

Checks will be out as seamless payments become the norm
We don't see much future in checks. Imaging technology is a final throw of the dice, but ultimately one that will be short lived.

By 2024 most mature markets will have ditched checks in favor of more seamless peer-to-peer channels like Paym in the U.K., or new social media systems like those apparently being considered by Facebook.
Wearable devices already allow people simply to deliver a voice command to send money. In 10 years, whether it's through your phone number, social media account or even just your bank details, it will be a simple tap of the smart screen or voice command to your smart watch to send money instantly.

It appears that Darkcoin has been rebranded as DASH (Digital Cash). I find this puzzling, because it sounds like lead developer Evan Duffield wants to move away from the "Dark" image, although he is still making projections of continued growth in gambling and drug markets.

Interesting move but that will not be the last. Typical of other industry others will follow.

The CRISP Word Contest   -    WINNERS!

Thank you everyone for the awesome entries!!!        Smiley

CRISP Dictionary Definition

#1
Cryptobroker79:  CRISP /krisp/

abbreviation
cryptocurrency investment savings plan

noun: CRISP, plural noun: CRISPS

1. -a DNotes global Initiative, designed to bring cryptocurrency to the everyday person.
-a long term savings plan, using DNotes as the investment vehicle.
-an alternative to traditional investments, savings, and retirement plans.

verb:CRISP, past tense:CRISPed, present participle:CRISPing

1. set aside wealth for the future.  "I CRISP for my future"
2. previously set up a CRISP.  "sure glad I CRISPed, it's out performed all of my other investments"
3. using a cryptocurrency investment savings plan.  "I've been CRISPing for years now, and my finances have never looked better"

#2
cojack:    Crisparian
[krisp-er-ēən]
noun
An experienced CRISP user.

#3 (Tie)
kanus1113:     CRISP (Cryptocurrency Investment Savings Plan) - A group of programs designed to aid individuals and groups save digital currency as a long term investment.
IMZ:     Phrasal verb: crisp up: 'to gleefully own large amounts of CRISP,' as in 'Wow! I'm CRISPed right up at this point!"

CRISP Customized

#1 - Customized for Organizations / Crisp Generator
BoscoBlue / RJF / DNotes (Joint Entry):
Boscoe Blue - Organizations may benefit from using CRISP, where the organizer can customize and contribute to their own CRISP program. For example, employee matching programs.
RJF - Perhaps, in the future, we could have a "CRISP Generator" where you just plug in the required amounts, fund name and purpose, pick from a list what you want to calculate, etc and submit it for review and possible posting if acceptable. Of course there would be rules and guidelines and the creation process would rely on drop down choices to keep things in line and formatted as DNotes wishes. People could apply for a CRISP Hosting account at the time.
DNotes - Agreed, that sounds like a good idea. An organization would apply for registration. Get their own landing page like ABCOrganization.DNotesVault.com, registrations through that landing page would be tied to that organizations account. As well as an organizational administration panel where they could approve registrations and add 'rules' for accounts tied to that organization, like fund matching or initial sign up bonus. What type of organizations might be interested in something like this?
RJF - I would think the list is long and distinguished. Schools, volunteer Fire/Rescue/OEM, public service such as Rotary, Masons, Optimists, Scout Troops, Charities, etc.  Anybody that wants to offer an incentive for joining, serving or remaining a member.

********

#2 - CRISP for Families
RJF:  CRISP for Families! Either a CRISP for Families, or a pre-configured generator to create simple family CRISP Plans where Mom or Dad can "plug in" their configuration and comfort level, include their children, and end up with their own, family oriented, savings plan/account all rolled up in one CRISP customized for them.

With growing distrust in banks and other financial entities and managers, people are starting to take their investments into their own hands, what better way to do this than a DNotes savings plan that you customize for your own needs and expectations? I can foresee a lot of activity with this and that is the main reason a self management system should be developed to take off DNotes developers. And, as always, the chance for much greater than traditional returns is always there.

I think this would be a template for all future CRISP plans if developed with flexibility in mind. Later on we can role crypto currency conversion into the system to allow for the deposit of other coins and their automatic conversion into DNotes being instantly added to your vault.

And keep in mind, unlike groups and businesses, families are free to open accounts as they wish without going through "due process" and loosing time and money waiting.

**********

#3 - Lottery CRISP for Vacation
TeeGee:     How about a lottery CRISP for Vacation too? People enter by throwing in say 2000 DNotes, and the moment the vacation lottery fund reaches say $5000 USD, whether by price appreciation, or more DNotes triggering the 5k limit - contributors are given a chance to win based on their proportion of the vacation fund they put in. Could be an interesting 'third party' CRISP that a private individual could run as a sort of promotional lottery for DNotes or something.

CRISP Board Game

#1
cojack - CRISP Watch Board Game

#2
infovortice - CRISPers 4 Dnotes.

#3 (tie)
kanus1113:      CRISPopoly (lol)  Similar to monopoly, except the objective is... Once the 'exchange' runs out of DNotes, you win the game if you saved the most.  It's a work in progress lol, but you get the picture.

BoscoBlue:     Digital Life. A spin on the game of life that is all digital and allows opportunities to put money into CRISP accounts?

Congratulations to all of our WINNERS!! Since CRISP is now officially added to DNotes' Dictonary, we are all winners. Great job, Chase and thank you all.

What do you all think? It seems like we can not get away from the shadow of Mt. Gox.

It would help if the mainstream media could focus on solution story line instead of dwelling on sensational headlines that have not reflected well on the industry. The technology side of Bitcoin, the Blockchain is a huge technology breakthrough no one as challenged. All reported weaknesses are the results from the human side of the enterprise and should be examined as such for viable solutions.

The technology is simply amazing. Some bad actors associated with our industry are a different story. But then there are many who are doing the right things and deserve some friendly media support. Appealing for regulatory oversight when the industry itself is in a state of confusion is a bad idea. Until there is clarity and firm conviction that we are in the mist of a historical technology revolution with the potential of massive job and wealth creation, we are at risk of being over regulated.

Can Bitcoin Still Recover in 2015?

NEWSBTC.com
By Gola YashuMar 24, 2015 5:00AM GMT

"For most industry analysts, the main challenge facing bitcoin these days is the ability of the community to police itself, as the lack of regulation from financial agencies doesn’t guarantee any fallbacks during theft or hacking incidents. Ever since the closure of Mt. Gox, traders have been uneasy about storing their bitcoin in online exchanges and have weighed on the cryptocurrency’s value.

Increased oversight in the bitcoin industry might be enough to restore the demand and security for thecryptocurrency, which might eventually shore up its value to its previous highs and beyond."

On that subject from Dyna,

At this stage it is not likely that Bitcoin can be repositioned to be a sufficiently stable currency.

I agree, BTC is all over the map. Whereas Dnotes has shown a much more stable floor in its short existence. Even now after the last price rise following the 1 year mark, it has yet shown again a new and higher stable floor. And I credit that to the investment strategy for Dnotes.

The biggest problem is now, as with all alt coins is they are dependent upon bitcoin for its final value. Dreaming here a bit, but what could take Dnotes to it own place or store of value" would be to have its own Dnotes Exchange, or even more so a coinbase.com type of US Dollar purchase/sell exchange. From there it could break the chains that bind it to BTC and truly have its own identity.

Would like to even see a dedicated multipool that pays out in Dnotes, similar to iHash.co, xpool.ca,  supernet and alike, Of course its debatable if it helps a coin to have a multipool go to market and covert the days mining into a specific coin for payout. In my mind that open for discussion.

DC  Smiley

We hear you, DC. It does get frustrating sometime for alt coins to be directly linked to the fortune or misfortune of Bitcoin at this time. I don't expect a viable near term solution. We just have to be practical and work hard towards the day when DNotes can stand alone by merits and perhaps an advantage for other currencies to be pegged to DNotes. That is a real possibility but it may be years away.

It is a reasonable statement that no other cryptocurrency is addressing the vital importance of currency stability, trust and integrity as seriously as DNotes. Perhaps we are the only community strongly committed to examine all the issues and focus on total solutions, instead of just pick and choose. Our approach is significantly harder and much more time consuming. Frankly that is what differentiates DNotes from others the most, in fairly significant ways.

DNotes is the only one I have come across to look at cryptocurrency as more than just a technology.

I would have to agree with the fact that DNotes is a lot more than just technology!!

As Dyna has often noted, being more than a technology and having had the foresight to create value propositions beyond just technology leads to a system approach where all functions that a business must eventually undertake have been thought of up-front. Strategic management requires a vision of the future and undertaking of activities "NOW" to materialize that future; not tomorrow or day after but today. A deliberate commitment today where the competition sits on the sidelines or vacillates increases the gap. This is imperceptible in the short run but over long term the gap manifests itself and increases at an alarming rate.

A deliberate design and strategic execution compresses the time it takes to get there. In lieu of such a vision, market forces and incremental trial and error and adoption might finally get you there but it will take time and effort orders of magnitue much larger than if you strategically set about to achieve that state. Hoping to achieve that state by just creating the technology is wishful thinking. Note that a system left unattended will grow in undesirable ways and then you become a slave to that system rather than being master of it.

Great comments, Keemo. Good strategic planning and flawless executions are significant competitive advantages. They create an unleveled playing field giving you an advantage over your competitor every time. Above all, it instills confidence and certainly making everything more predictable and under control. Such an environment is always more favorable and productive. The other end of the spectrum is dependent on hope and quite often far less productive, with high stress level and confusion.

Hi, Mark. That is quite an impressive project. I wish I have more time to take a closer look. My work load has been growing by the day. With Spring just round the corner and some gardening to kick in as part of my daily exercise, finding extra time is quite a challenge. We appreciate your participation in this forum very much. Hi Everyone,

I am spending the next few days doing a significant amount of research and writing. My posts will be brief and may not be as responsive as I would normally like it to be.

CRISP For Students will be launched early next week. TeeGee has been working on the press release and getting close to completion. He has put in a lot of efforts which we appreciate very much. Once it has gone through our PR for editing and approved for release, I will make a post to let you know. It is likely to be either Monday or Tuesday next week.

For those who have CRISP for Retirement funded, the first interest payment will be credited to your account next week. The total amount on deposit has exceeded our best expectation. That is quite a vote of confidence.

We appreciate Chase's great efforts in the CRISP Word Contest. Thank you for a job well done, Chase.

We also like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Marc who has been quietly working on the CRISP Hand book. It is a lot of work to get it done, but will be very helpful for anyone interested to learn more about of family of CRISPs.

The MasterCard saga continues:

"MasterCard Names Cryptocurrency as Major Competitor in New Report"

"MasterCard's SEC report mentions the word cryptocurrency three different times, and each time, it's under the heading of the word “competition.”

First the report mentions that MasterCard competes against cash, checks, other credit card issuers, wire transfers, mobile payments, and cryptocurrency.

It then goes on to mention cryptocurrency again in its “startup and emerging competitors” category:

“These competitors include digital wallet providers such as PayPal, AliPay and Amazon, merchants. [...]  mobile operator services, services such as mPesa, handset manufacturers, and cryptocurrencies.”

The report mentions cryptocurrency for a third time when it later reads:

“Rapid and significant technological changes could occur, resulting in new and innovative payment methods (including cryptocurrencies) and programs that could place us at a competitive disadvantage and that could reduce the use of MasterCard products.”

Full article and previous video: http://cointelegraph.com/news/113753/mastercard-names-cryptocurrency-as-major-competitor-in-new-report

I read that. Those are disclosure statements quite typically included in SEC filings and should not be taken at face value. They were included as "disclaimers". None the less, Mastercard is certainly taking Bitcoin and Altcoins more seriously, but may not yet treat then as a clear and present threat.

While I don't agree with much of this article, it does raise some interesting points for thought and implications for DNotes.

CAN BITCOIN’S REPUTATION BE SAVED?
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/can-bitcoins-reputation-saved/

What do you guys think?

Reputation is fluid. Look at cash, anything bad ever happen that involved cash? How about stocks? Perfect? I think not. Remember, the winners write the history books. Even bad reputations can be turned into good ones with the right events and marketing.

We need to win...  Smiley

The author of the article appeared frustrated, for very good reasons. I am sure that many of us are too. Personally, I believe that the problems goes way beyond just the exchanges. I do agree that the Bitcoin Foundation could take a stronger leadership position and that “trust” or the lack of it has been extremely damaging to Bitcoin’s reputation.

As to whether the community should unit and do something about it; my response is an absolute “Yes, certainly”. In fact that is what DNotes has been doing for more than a year now and we welcome everyone to join us to build trust, integrity and a new culture that is significantly more friendly, respectful and inclusive. After all, we all are Bitcoin stakeholders, in addition to DNotes.

Let us briefly revisit an important concept I shared in earlier posts. “Self interest is the main sign post of any individual, family, group, association, state or nation”. That is the inherent behavior of all human beings at its core. Unless there are other more compelling reasons to do otherwise, self interest kicks in instinctively. Decentralization is great when rules are programmed in. Those rules are consistent and apply exactly the same to every one, every time.

Beyond the Bitcoin protocol and the Blockchain, is the human side of Bitcoin, and that becomes significantly more challenging and difficult to navigate as a truly decentralized system. The best argument here is that unlike a legal corporation, Bitcoin is not owned or controlled by a single individual or a group of individuals. In practical terms, should any one tried and succeeded, the value of the currency would collapse. I believe Marc reminded us of the Hunts brothers failed attempt to corner the sugar market some forty years ago.

The question then is could enough Bitcoin stakeholders collectively have the self interest to promote and protect Bitcoin as community before one’s (individual) self interest. That has not been the case and will not likely to be the case. Hope you can appreciate why DNotes was created based on a different model. We promote and protect our community (family) self interest before the individual self interest for the best mutual benefits of everyone who are invested in DNotes for the long term.

The key word here is “long term”, in order to have a better understanding of the risk of rapid price appreciation over short period. The higher the DNotes price shoots up over a short period of time, the higher the temptation for self interest to trump over any other interests. Everyone has as a breaking point. That is for another day. Decentralization is never perfect when it must include the human side to be a component of the total system. That explains why DNotes is managed as a business using the system approach where everything matters.

Heres an interesting article from a professional on the matter of security or commodity:

"Token Sales and The US' Impressionistic Securities Laws" http://coinde.sk/1MQTV0k via @CoinDesk

It's a good read.

This is certainly an interesting read but it did not give me better comfort of legal clarity. I remained deeply concerned about ITO (Initial Token Offering) Crypto Share Companies and Crowdfunding often used in our industry to raise a significant amount of capital. In my opinion the legal risk exposure remain high for both the investors and the organizers involved in raising the capital. In addition, there are serious questions regarding transparency, book keeping and distribution of dividends or profits, if any.

According to Fobes, “On April 5, 2012, a revolutionary avenue of capital formation for small businesses was created when President Obama signed The JOBS Act into law and equity crowdfunding in the United States was born. Entrepreneurs with small businesses were excited by the prospect of using online crowdfunding to raise up to $1 million by selling equity in their company”.

Most unfortunately. as of today, the Securities and Exchange Commission has yet “ to publish regulations and rules that would allow this game-changing law to go into effect”. Hopefully, this will happen early next year.

Do you think this is fraud protection or something resembling Big Brother?

"Visa's new fraud protection software will track customers' smartphones"

http://www.foxbusiness.com/technology/2015/02/13/visa-new-fraud-protection-software-will-track-customers-smartphones/

Tracking your location by your cell phone to prevent fraud does seem a bit too intrusive. It will be interesting to see how fraud protection evolves, it is such a huge issue.

Location-tracking as a means of ranking risk exposure for fraud has been considered as an additional layer of security for sometime. At least for now, customers are given the choice to opt in or stay out. “The feature is optional and can be deactivated at any time.” We are already being tracked much more than we have been told anyway.

To me this is just another bandage over a gapping hole. It helps but far from being a viable solution to a serious structural problem. Our bank and financial system, as well as the credit and debit card network payment systems are costly and outdated, but above all, cannot conduct business without our personal data. They must know and be able to verify who we are. Multiple intermediaries are involved in the storage, transmission and verification of our information. Personal data has been stolen by the tens of millions. “Criminals can take stolen credit card information and code it onto a new card using equipment that can be readily purchased online. Counterfeit cards look like any other credit card, but have someone else's information on the magnetic stripe.”

Digital currency like DNotes, on the other hand does not require any personal data. It can be as simple as having two cellular phones, or computer systems with an internet link to send or receive funds. It does not require, transfer, or keep any personal data and the two parties do not need to know or trust each other to successfully complete the transaction, at little to no cost.

There is no doubt that DNotes will one day be superior to fiat currency. Taking our time to build a solid structure is the only way to accomplish a vital mission.

Yes, I agree it is another bandaid. Instead of location-tracking, any credit card should be linked to 2FA like cryptocurrency. You want to make a purchase you swipe and then enter your 2FA. Boom, done. A hassle some might say, but no 2FA no sale. Easy. You can have all my data you want but you don't have my phone you don't buy anything.

Doesn't really matter anyway. In a few years credit cards, debit cards, etc will be useless. Digital will be digital and will encompass everything. No physical anything except your phone to conduct all transactions. And DNotes will be the leader in all of this!!

Marc, you are correct that the current debit and credit card payment network systems will be replaced one day. 2FA as a dynamic pin code is far superior to the old 4 digit static pin code. As we have discussed on numerous occasions, their current system has multiple problems. Essentially it an out dated costly system with serious structural problems, but it is very expensive to tear down completely, for a total rebuild. That is not going to happen unless there is a formidable competitor. To be objective, Bitcoin is a formidable technology, but not yet a formidable competitor or threat, because it has remained highly volatile, somewhat confusing and complicated.

Banks and credit card companies are well aware of the potential threats and they have been pushing back aggressively. It is also apparent that they are looking at different options, including the possibilities of working with central banks on a multi-nations basis. There may be some merits but that will result in a whole array of new problems that could be even more troubling. The inherent self interest of nations and other participating parties will likely make it near impossible to make it a reality or the cause an early demise that could be extremely damaging to the world economy.

The world we live in has changed drastically over the last twenty years. Technologies are hugely responsible in bringing about enormous advancement we did not think possible just 30 years ago. From a world of worrisome scarcity, technologies are rapidly turning it into a world of abundance, through great improvements in productivities, as well as doing things that were not achievable before, such as extraction of natural resources, and huge improvement in farm productivities, just to mention a few.

Those who can keep up with the rapid advancement will reap a disproportionate share of the reward. We are already hyperconnected with increasing supercomputing power at our finger tips. Over five billion people will have a smart phone significantly more powerful than what we can even imagine today, by the year 2020. Those who have the vision to look far ahead into the future must now examine large scale problems and solutions on a global scale. Student, leaders of the future, and entrepreneurs must start to do the same. Those who can quickly adapt and look at large scale problems and solution from global prospective will find plenty of challenges and opportunities by doing well.

CRISP For Students will be launched during the week of March 30, 2015. DNotes is firmly committed to help prepare the next generation of leaders to manage a rapidly changing world. Among many new tools in their tool box will be a global digital currency called DNotes, destined to be the currency of the world. It has only one self interest; for the mutual benefits of everyone worldwide. That is the legacy the DNotes community is attempting to build and we will need all the help we can get. We invite all of you to join our grass root campaign to make life a little better and less stressful for everyone.
