The only difference is that the transaction you are making serves as the secondary layer para makapag transact ka ng micropayments with little to no tx fee.

Take note na yung channel is similar to a normal bitcoin transaction. After which, kapag established na yung channel, possible na yung micropayments. Magastos lang talaga sa pagbroadcast ng lightning network sa una kasi depende pa din sa mempool yung tx fee.

2143  Economy / Services / Re: Duelbits.com | Ace's VIP Lounge Art Contest | $1050 up for grabs! 6 Winners on: March 12, 2021, 07:34:23 AM
I would like to ask here that will every good art submission will get some portion of the amount in Duelbits account (as it happen in youtube video review contest) or only the top 6 winners will get the prize ?
As far as I know, there will be no consolation prize for those artwork who have not reached the top 6 submission. Youtube review submission is much different as compared with personalized art submission in terms of subjective criteria among the judges.
2144  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bingswap.finance fake team and partnership Beware! on: March 11, 2021, 12:20:13 PM
I wonder if those people that are posted on their list of management team are actually aware that there is a group of people stealing their identity for the sake of extorting others people's money. This is quite alarming though because if this project manages to double cross those dumb investors, there is high a probability that these investor will file a lawsuit against these people who are most probably unaware of what was happening.

And I am sure that one of those picture is take from one of their social media.  Roll Eyes

2149  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Paano makakamura sa fees sa pag transfer ng BTC from Cryptotab browser? on: March 02, 2021, 01:52:25 AM
If that browser has no options to manually set the default transaction fee then it is unlikely to withdraw your bitcoin to another wallet at a cheaper rate. Though kahit naman pwede mong i adjust yung tx fee, as I am writing this, ang pinaka recommended pa din ay 120+ sats /vbyte or around 500 pesos para ma confirm in the next few blocks, values lower than that will result to a much longer delay of your transaction, and that's probably the only workaround sa problem mo either maghintay or babaan mo ng kaunti yung 120+ sats.

Magrefer ka sa mempool para mamonitor mo.

Just a heads up, may nakita akong thread na possible daw makadamage ng CPU mo yang cryptobrowser which I think is not worth it in exchange for mining small amount of sats  Sad

2150  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain.com / App / My USD Digital Wallet / Conversion to Bank Acct. on: March 01, 2021, 07:26:02 AM
The custodial option of blockchain.com application that you are using does not support a cryptocurrency to fiat exchange that is why there is no way you can deposit your money back to your bank account. What you can do is to transfer an ample amount of Ethereum that is enough to make the swap from USD Digital to your preferred choice of another crypto like bitcoin possible.

After which, you can now transfer your traded cryptocurrency from your blockchain app to an exchange that supports crypto to fiat exchange such as Binance P2P or Coinbase and eventually withdraw them back to your bank account. Take note that the fiat withdrawal depends on what country you are living so it would be better to verify first what are the available fiat options before depositing your bitcoin to an exchange. The downside is, moving and swapping your crypto will cost you a few bucks due to ongoing high transaction fees.

2151  Economy / Reputation / Re: Scammed using Binance P2P, be careful, also looking for aussie to help on: March 01, 2021, 05:15:49 AM
I've been doing P2P trading for about 1 year now and I have never been scammed even on a single trade. Have you not tried finding some telegram group who's the owner is the merchant advertising on P2P Binance? That particular process, though, saves me from doing trades from random merchants who is most likely will take away your money in an instant especially if you will not verify the transaction coming on your end beforehand.

More importantly, verified account with check mark beside their username could actually help.

Can someone post the table of contents of this book here so that it is clear what topics and questions will be discussed in it?
Hey! The table of contents is already published in the link[1] given by @lovesmayfamilis. The book is composed of 3 chapters and in each chapter tackles different concept regarding the nature of bitcoin, basic and important concept in handling your bitcoin and other related improvement in cryptocurrency in general.

2153  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Cashing out a paper wallet made in 2013 on: March 01, 2021, 04:41:57 AM
I'm trying to sell the coins on coinbase.  I already have an account with coinbase.  I'm just not sure how to send to coinbase and what the bitcoin addresses that start with 3 have to do with the transfer.
P2SH address format is a bitcoin addresses that starts with number '3' and is supported by coinbase, that is why you have given a deposit address starting from 3 in your coinbase account. Also, you really don't have to worry about sending your bitcoin from your legacy address (address starting from '1') to P2SH address (coinbase) since it is widely accepted and can be used to deposit funds from both legacy and bech32 (address starting from 'bc1') address format.

What you can do is to follow the steps provided by other members before me in importing the paper wallet's private key to a verified electrum wallet[1] so that you can transfer your bitcoin to your coinbase account and start selling your bitcoin. More importantly, you need to be aware that the paper wallet is no longer secure and can be considered as compromised after importing your private to another wallet since paper wallet is intended only for single use.

Thanks for sharing this OP. I checked the link and it seems to require a Kindle account. Unfortunately, I haven't tried that yet. Is it the same as having an amazon account and just connecting it?
Well, you can just freely download the eBook on the PDF format[1] and read it afterwards or if you like, you can also check the other link which will redirect you to amazon website so you can have an option to download the same eBook on the kindle format but unfortunately it is not free[2].

2155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Non Fungible Token (NFT) questions on: February 28, 2021, 05:49:43 AM
So I am reading and researching a lot of stuff regarding the benefits and real use cases of NFT's, however there are still lots of unanswered questions regarding its concept. Based on what I have understand, though, NFT's are just a digital version of the traditional document "Certificate of Authenticity" or COA that has the verified signature and important elements provided by the artist in it right?

Meaning NFT's doesn't provide any investment opportunities where you can easily re-sell the copy of the digital image that you bought from the artist to another art collector at a higher price?

However, on another standpoint, the real use case of NFT's are just meant to provide digital imprint that certifies the real owner allowing him/her to freely sell his digital art compositions without having to worry about piracy isn't it? So NFT's that is viewed as a money making opportunity is just bullshit right?

Edit: Moved to BnH board since I can't get any response from Altcoin Discussion Board.
2156  Other / Meta / Re: Good to delete post or not on: February 28, 2021, 02:44:33 AM
while some people will remove it entirely in a way no one can see it again.
This instance actually depends on the thread or user's circumstances. It could be that the thread have been moved to an Off-topic section which is quite often to happen leading for the user to delete his/her post because it does not qualify towards the signature campaign requirement. Or perhaps, there is something in that particular post that could possibly reveal a hint for using multiple alt account in a campaign or any other events the prohibits the use of multiple account.

Also if all contents in the post are wrong, should it be left not deleted or deleted for people not to read it at all?
Why don't you just put an edit note after you have corrected your post instead of deleting them entirely. Edit based on relevant facts and make some notes below it that tells the reason why you edit your post in the first place. With that being said, you should not be guilty about cheating nor spreading misinformation.

I have decided that if ever this artwork has been successfully sold -- all the profit will be given to the Project COVID-19 donation. Just shoulder the shipping fee.

Hi! Please excuse me for asking this since I can't find any similar question by other members or am I missing something?

Are we allowed to submit an artwork that was previously posted during the bitcointalk 10th anniversary art contest? I am thinking to submit my acrylic painting here.

I'm glad that you all appreciated it! I'll notify everyone if ever I found another eBook on the internet.

Also, I will share the new, but paid CoinGecko book "How to Bitcoin". The authors claim that the book will be useful for both beginners and not only.
Thank you!! Have you read or bought the book? Is there any other payment method other than paypal since it states that we can also pay using bitcoin but I am only seeing paypal as their payment option in their site!

Also I'm curious how many pages are in this book?
2160  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pilipinas bilang isa sa mga pinaka-aktibong komunidad ng Bitcoin sa Asya. on: February 27, 2021, 02:30:09 AM
Not surprising at all! Makakita ka ba naman ng maraming facebook group na puro crypto gambler/trader na may name na Binance eh talagang maraming macucurious about cryptocurrency thinking that trading or bitcoin itself is an easy way of making money. If trading community ng crypto ang pag-uusapan, I can say na malaki laki yung population ang may alam diyan but if you are talking about people who are really into bitcoin na may deeper knowledge in terms of economics, technicalities and political aspects -- for sure sobrang liit ng community na yan kahit kasama na yung mga members dito if we're talking about numbers.

What most Filipino know is that cryptocurrency is just only an asset used solely for trading purposes and investment sCaMs  Roll Eyes and that's it! People won't even attempt to study crypto in general as long as they are making money out of it!

PS. Pinoy ka pala @Janation
