1241  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: My new bitcoinate project on: March 19, 2022, 10:39:03 PM
welcome my friends  Wink
Before anything else, I wish you a beautiful and healthy day  Smiley
I have made a project for the public benefit for free for everyone that benefits everyone by collecting bitcoin donations
I hope everyone knows about this project
Usable for everyone
And the idea of the project, as I said, is to create a button to collect Bitcoin donations
Through your website or blog  Wink
https://bitcoinate.me

It is a good initiative to create your own javascript for a button, a good practice so to say. But there are also instances that most web devs preferred their own snippet or way to create a donation button -- such as using QR code for an easy scan or a JS script that copies the address itself (which is available in w3schools javascript tutorial[1]). If I were to suggest on what project you could try working on that still ties with the 'bitcoinate' idea, I would suggest making the script available in github so people can easily fetch it but also comes with other features such as changing its theme just by calling specific methods or variables (which can be coded in JS ofcourse) -- making a bitcoin donate button more responsive and easy to use for devs.

Also, would like to suggest that you create a modern UI theme with onHover and onClick changes such as:

1242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Casinos invest on endorsement from celebrities on: March 19, 2022, 09:51:45 PM
Should casinos invest in the endorsement of celebrities just like what Stakes is doing or it's better to just stick with giveaways contests and maintain their reputation, we know we all know the high cost of celebrity endorsement should other casinos follow Stake's lead to partner or pay celebrities to promote them.

My take is that great marketing nowadays requires huge investment such as being promoted by influencers and even celebrities. It is indeed a good practice if they keep doing giveaways and contests for their reputation but making a huge step towards your casino's company is a must. Remember that some casino platforms tends to just be anonymous and rely on their user-reviews and contests for their marketing while bigger platforms like Stake tend to step it up a bit.

The only reason casino should do it as well is that if they are eager enough to scale their platform up (which also means that they should have tons of money to make it successful).

Its good to take those celebrities who really gamble because they know what they are doing and they are a living example of gambling. I don’t see any problem on endorsing a gambling site, though Drake doesn’t talk much about it but still his influence can bring more gambler to Stake site so most probably, other site are also looking for someone who can market their platform the same thing Stake did.

The only problem it might encounter is that some celebs and influencers prefer to not have any contract in gambling website nor in any crypto project as it will be their own reputation to risk as well. In Drake's situation, it is acceptable to some as his audience are pretty much matured and more onto gambling. But once Stake could encounter problems like DDoS attacks or any problems of sorts, Drake will also be asked why as he was partnered with them -- in which is a reason why some tends to not deal with online casinos.
1243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Valorant Stage 1 Challengers Discussion Thread on: March 18, 2022, 11:45:06 PM

First and foremost, there are really no popular bookies platform that offers crypto bets on Valorant. I just found recently that Thunderpick offers betting but haven't tried it yet.

To those who aren't fond of Valorant tournaments. You can visit the tournaments happening around the world here >> https://liquipedia.net/valorant/Main_Page

It seems that the Valorant had been grown since its first beta release back in 2020. And no wonder that some of users here already asked if the game[1] would be good to be featured in bookies, but apparently only less platforms that are onto crypto accepts it. Still now, I only found Thunderpick but still has problems whether to use it (it uses their own coin system and not really a direct crypto betting). Also, sportsbet.io still haven't implemented Valorant. So if someone will recommend bookies that accept crypto as betting payment, please let us all know  Grin

The purpose of this thread is to follow the current major tournaments of valorant in each region, use this thread as basis in some fiat betting platforms, and give us our thoughts until some crypto bookies will be up and accept Valorant bets. I'll try my best to update this thread from time to time Cheesy

1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in METAVERSE on: March 18, 2022, 11:08:52 PM
You wouldnt know unless you do try but its true that long time gamblers which is get used to physical appearance or involvement which you would really be sticking to that but it wont be bad to have some try up with the

new development or tech which is available on today whether they would like it or not but there would be a specific market for that and lets see if it would progress out or would really be high in demand.
It is something new and just like been said that VR tech had been here for a while now.It would be apply into different key areas.

IMHO It really is a bad idea to just jump onto gambling in the new technology especially in VR as having a solid gambling game alone is already hard and implementing it on such technology that still has various bugs and problems could be a nightmare. There are more to consider in the development side of both areas -- the VR Metaverse and the Crypto Gambling. Metaverse are just months old and crypto gambling still has loopholes and lot to improve. Maybe years or months from now if those two would establish a strong foundation, then implementing both together could work. Still, problems exists such as what you've mentioned -- 'the market' that they will target. Nonetheless, it will only be a problem if VR Metaverse still isn't a mainstream media at that time.
1245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Occupational hazards of trading crypto on: March 18, 2022, 10:20:20 PM

The very first long-term occupational hazard i can think of is the development of High blood pressure...

What can you add to the list of dangers associated with making crypto trading a full time occupation?

I think it's kinda normal that other people are already prone to high blood pressure regardless of what the job/occupation is. I don't find trading to be that severe to the point that my blood pressure reach a little high -- as of course, having trading strategies first, studying how you behave in each losses and wins and learning from those, is the best practice to prevent such hazard. Still, there are some occupational hazards I have encountered being a student, and...

These are my insights:
1. If you are a student, spending your time in studying trading and the market plus making some positions CAN BE A HUGE BURNOUT. Being an undergrad, especially in college, have a lot of requirements to do. And if you are not good at managing your time or unsure whether to make money in trading or finish your studies, then you would feel being burnt out from time to time.
2. If you are a student, instead of using your money for things you need both in your daily life/responsibilities, then you are using it for trading (without even having a fixed emotion that you wont be frustrated), losing it will have you frustrated for longer period of time without you noticing it at the first place.
1246  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: In need of larger web3 freelance team! on: March 18, 2022, 09:45:55 PM
currently just 2 people working and a few freelance graphic designers. We split the quotes evenly between the team. An we also pool together some funds in multisig to play around with as a team. We also utilize a general rough equal share of GPU mining power that also we feed into farming. We need people who can setup from the ground up solo.

If your open for some freelancing please contact by PM.

I think you should go to either fiverr or upwork if you really wanted to have a team of freelancers as soon as possible. Also, as also stated by examplens, adding up some information about what the project is about would attract more freelancers. Plus, this is project development board hence giving us idea what really the project is will help you and us, the readers, a lot.

Also, I have a friend who is starting to have his portfolio filled with his masterpieces, but more to be a Figma/Photoshop/Illustrator kinda guy (really superb graphic designer and web mockup design). You can reach him in telegram @nightowl_hbc.

1248  Other / Politics & Society / Re: FIFA and UEFA has suspended Russian Football teams. on: March 17, 2022, 10:20:43 PM
I think we all understand what they are trying to do but at least in principle I cannot agree with that, after all I am part of this market and I believe on the principles behind bitcoin which allows you to be your own bank and doesn't allow for any third party to steal your money or your property with a few clicks as part of how the system is designed, so while I think it is fair to suspend some athletes or teams from international competitions this is just plain stealing.

With these actions, they are indirectly saying that ordinary Russian people are responsible for the war and they should be punished.

Those decisions aren't really pertaining to such ideology that they are responsible' on the war. You cannot just continue accepting/giving entertainment to those countries that are in midst of war, you'll just end yourself in the middle on that war - from media and countries asking why as they also cut their ties with Russia (only those who doesn't really want to get involved). I think its just too bad to think that this is a matter of 'whos being held responsible'. It's just a normal thing that even at any war, normal citizens would always be stereotyped or pulled back by the war/issues.

Remember the time covid hits worldwide? Many on media had hatred on Chinese people and even all of the normal citizens are issued/criticized by the stereotype. it's a war that we cannot see. But also the normal people that suffered from the judgmental minds.
1249  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Does This Always happen? on: March 17, 2022, 09:42:36 PM

Like the image above, it's happens to me almost all the time and I don't know if any one here can relate? At times, it's really frustrating and I feel like "maybe some witches are out there preventing me from making profit off my investment" 😂.

So what you all think? Do you experience this kind of stuffs too? Feel free to share your story with us.

You only get frustrated because you haven't let yourself have a trading strategy before making a position on a certain coin in market. Remember that before we buy, we should have a solid plan on where to set the buy and when to sell it. I experienced it ofcourse by the time I was just spending pennies on some coins just to prove if my readings would be right. But from time to time, you will really learn that you should be reading both the pattern and the fundamentals (or current news regarding the market/coin you are buying) before really making a move.

Maybe try to use small amounts first so you wouldn't be frustrated. Or just think that you will lose your investment already so you can be fine once you really lose it.

And any services that claims they can do mining out of thin air using only a computer or a phone is a typical scam cloud mining sCaM services. Real mining uses specialized machine such as ASIC and not a friggin cellphone.
1252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand or know the whale's next move? on: March 15, 2022, 01:44:35 PM
I'm wondering if there is any forum, website, subreddit or a threading discussion in this forum about what the whales are going to do or if there is a channel where they talk/share their next moves.
If people in this forum have this kind of information, we're all probably extremely wealthy by now, and would not bother touching tradingview again  Cheesy

I've read that some users here read about this kind of topic but they didn't share any post or link to the source.
Because it doesn't exist.
1253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is NFT basically on: March 15, 2022, 01:26:55 PM
NFT is basically a digital signature or certificate of jpegs (pictures) to justify that you really own those digital goods.

And the reason it is so expensive is that the majority of people believe NFT as a speculative asset with a limited number of copies or that is distinguishable from the others. Thus, they believe that their value will increase over time which they can flip or sell to at higher price to gain profit.

Some people buy/mint NFT to have a bragging right. Others buy it to support their favourite artist, or perhaps, they are simply amazed with the aesthetics NFT has to offer.
1254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: P2E gaming is rising, big names like Ubisoft and EA Sports are joining... 👀 on: March 15, 2022, 12:44:07 PM
A big GameFi project like Axie Infinity already decided to stop rewards for gamers in P2E mode that means a lot. Their growth hits a cap at least temporarily so that they can not attract new capital flow into Axie Infinity game ecosystem which can not help to maintain or lift the price up.
In the Adventure mode, yes. But SkyMavis did not completely stop distributing SLP and AXS rewards to their players in the Arena mode. They just simply decreased it to rebalance the game economy[1] and buy time until Axie Infinity Origins, often known as "V3, is fully released by the end of this month.

Right now, the only question that matters is how effective V3 is at attracting a new wave of investors considering that they have fully revamped the graphics, game economy, and the likes.

@blackjack.fun can we request for a betting history feature for our casino account
Yeah! From what I have read last year, they are including this feature in the next update of their GUI that includes all necessary stats for their players. Currently, the GUI only offers your bet history which includes the games you are playing/the bet amount as well as the date.

If there's one thing that can be changed, it has to be the date format that uses short date pattern --> 3/14/2022  instead of using "1m ago" (1 month ago) to avoid any confusion.

*Thanks to Your feedback we will change the Manu to make it more simple and better.
*Making all the devices to love blackjack.fun the same way. Removing overlaps what you mentioned before.
*Profile page for user. Stats, history, and so on.
*Search engine for games
1256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So will the Tailand Baht symbol ฿ not be confused with the Bitcoin symbol ? on: March 14, 2022, 08:30:58 AM
So far there isn't any key on the keyboard that can write BTC symbols instantly (except in this forum), and about this symbol ₿ (Unicode: U+20BF) is neither official nor widely used.
There is! The Google keyboard adapts the bitcoin currency symbol to be used for iOS users only [1]  Cry. I've tried finding it in the settings, but to no avail. I couldn't find any. Perhaps this is the best time to leave a 3 star comment in the playstore and start demanding to use BTC as a default.

1257  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading journals worth it? on: March 14, 2022, 06:58:34 AM
Well we have different topics about this but for me --it is wasting of time because a journal has nothing to do when you experience it personally and for sure you will not forget it.
You can't really know for sure! Even the prop traders keep a journal that will serve as a repository of their trades throughout the day. And this raises the question that if these big/professional traders are spending their time exporting/manually entering every bit of information on their trades, why can't retail traders do the same?

Although I am not enforcing you to do the same, many of the top traders I know, whether in stocks or forex, such as @Trader Dante, CryptoCred and some of the members on RealDayTrading Reddit, have always suggested it, regardless of whether you are a newbie or not. On top of that, the data or the history recorded on the platform won't be enough because it lacks the information that a customized trading journal has including some notes on why you enter a trade, notes during your trade management, and the likes.

It is not a waste of time, it's about having your due diligence to reflect on your trades.

After you upload all the images required to support your scam accusation, you can just simply select the BBCode link and paste it here on the forum, and wait for someone to quote your images for them to be visible since you are still a Newbie even though it's optional.

It looks like this.

1259  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A throwback to crypto trends that happened in 2021 on: March 13, 2022, 01:26:37 PM
NFT really plays a big part in crypto last 2021, imagine even a rock was sold worth $1.7m in eth, that is too much for a nonsense JPEG of a rock
Not anymore, this guy accidentally sold his NFT ether rock for 444 wei instead of 444 Ethereum[1] which is approximately worth over $1M. Imagine losing your entire net worth simply because of human mistake  Huh.

This is not the first time I see this kind of incident in NFT marketplace though, but I think that it needs some fixing or a warning that the user is entering such as very small amount of price relative to their asset.

@leea-1334, @stomachgrowls, @Dewi Aries

The only valid reason I could think of when replying to a certain thread especially to gambling related thread is when there is someone who seeks for a technical issues on their end such as withdrawal, deposits, vpn as well as some suggestion for the site's improvements. Other than that, I see no reason to make an effort to write something that's been repeatedly recycled.

Sure, maintaining a regular reply to keep the topic on the front page of the section is important for exposure, but the exposure would be meaningless if it were filled with nonsensical and repeated replies that add no value to the specific issue. Everyone has a right for freedom of speech, yes, but not the extent that it is being abused.
