2141  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hypothetical price collapse and massive farms failure. on: January 03, 2015, 01:12:24 PM
FUD FUD FUD

Why would there be a total price collapse? The reason the price has sat at 300 is because the market is pricing BTC at 300. Miners won't dump and destroy their business model.

Keep dreaming Smiley

2011 disaster is repeating. Recovery is possible but it's unsure if it will ever recover, maybe it's stepping now in the path of the Second Life bubble which never recovered.

Disaster? Lets see where we are in a few months. There are a lot of people dying to buy bitcoin on this forum. Hint: everyone bashing it.
2143  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 03, 2015, 10:08:38 AM
Bears salivating over microscopic volume. Just wondering which of you have already sold?  That's right, all of you! Smiley

Wake the rest of us up when something meaningful actually happens. Enjoy the weekend.
2144  Economy / Speculation / Re: How a bull market begins on: January 02, 2015, 11:50:41 PM
Nice post. Lambtroll agrees. He has probably already started buying like the rest of us.
2145  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 02, 2015, 10:11:39 AM
The point is that whales in the top 500 addresses are buying low.

How do you know they're buying and not just transferring coins they already had from other (presumably smaller) wallets?

Occam's razor. It is a multi year trend.

"Bitcoin made rich just a few but it ruined many"
Look, Bitcoin is zero-sum. For every win, there must be a lose. Somebody has to put in cash and not get it back. Bitcoin needs a lot of suckers losers to keep it going.

They're called HODLrs.

Does it sting that you failed to 'HODL' from 2011 and missed out on the enormous gains that followed? Thanks for your objective opinion! Suckers Smiley
2147  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 02, 2015, 09:45:36 AM
Why would whales accumulate coins if they did not expect the price to rise subsequently?

I haven't seen a decent analysis to show it's financially viable to manipulate the market by buying and selling. It seems risky at least.

So, who's to say whales' expectations are correct?

It isn't an analysis you will likely see now is it. That doesn't stop it being possible or probable.

The point is that whales in the top 500 addresses are buying low.
2148  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prepare for a new big drop. on: January 02, 2015, 07:57:12 AM
No problem, let's do $200 and I'll buy many. Actually I am ready to buy anywhere between $250 and $300.

You and everyone else. Hence the price isn't budging Smiley
2149  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 02, 2015, 07:54:45 AM
@JJG I don't think we can assume to know which is easier making these kind of assumptions is just silly. Bull whales with fiat aren't going to pump it without holding it first hand, so perhaps they're accumulating all the way through this bear trend, perhaps they're not...It's just easier to watch and see what happens...all the while paying attention to how infrastructure is growing in the bitcoin space.

I think the more pertinent question is why won't there be another pump?

We would simply be retracing our previous steps and the price could nearly quadruple from here just to reach the ATH. Top 500 addresses shows accumulation during this bear market, just as in others.

Why would whales accumulate coins if they did not expect the price to rise subsequently?
2150  Economy / Speculation / Re: Official What will be the price of Bitcoin on Dec 31, 2015 on: January 01, 2015, 12:46:40 AM
Wow....
This looks extremely bearish, trading has almost completely halted... I never expected to see this so soon.
It's a matter of hours now before a huge crash, i predict we will drop below $100 quickly then bounce back and forth a bit between that and $230 and it could settle down around the $120 mark.
Could this be the day bitcoin dies?

Desperate, much?
2151  Economy / Speculation / Re: Damn, any day this should pop below $300 on: December 30, 2014, 10:40:54 PM
Not really sure why you lot haven't figured out the lambtroll is SilverSpoon.

Perhap he was banned. Perhaps the fact a simple glance at his >5200 posts since March 2014 bashing bitcoin made him an obvious troll.

Either way be careful trading with him - he had a -ve trust rating with his other account.

Oh and edward50, you belong to a special group on here, XiaoXiao and Nagle included. You had the opportunity to buy bitcoin in 2011, but you argued against it then as now. Perhaps your luck will change? Smiley
2152  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 30, 2014, 09:41:54 PM
where are those guys that are buying with both hands?

Most cultists and permabulls still live in the basement of their parents' house. And their "salary" is the $5 allowance they get every week, so they don't really have a lot of money to spend on trying to keep this sinking ship afloat.

Love it exo. What amazing job do you have to impress us all?
2153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 29, 2014, 09:49:09 PM
Yeah, trying to break the weekly low, but sure is taking its sweet time.
Like watching paint dry.

So are you lambtrolls latest alt?

2155  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 29, 2014, 06:55:47 AM
Good luck.

I have absolutely no indication or premonition on how this is gonna go. If you have data that you feel comfortable acting on at this point, kudos and best wishes, but right now I'm feeling this is pretty much a coin flip.

Long term as well i am uncertain.

If it survives until at least 6 months after next reward having I expect at least 10k but I could not place a good probability on the chance that bitcoin will still exist at that point. So still an all or nothing bet to me at this point.

long term / weekly downtrend is intact. no point fighting it. breaking 300, 275 and beyond is almost a foregone conclusion at this point, in my mind. there may be better short entry than $320 to be had though.

Bitcoin to zero because a line points down.

What makes you think 300 or 275 won't hold other than the above sentence?
2156  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: In, Out or Waiting? on: December 29, 2014, 12:36:44 AM
Buying & selling daily/daytrading.

Wake Up! buy and hold doesn't work.

In what sense? It is working for me. In a long term bull trend it is a great strategy. Do you know something we don't?

It's working fine if you're in this to lose shitloads of money.
Your second post on this forum, Dec. 5, 2013, near BTC ATH, aka "near the top":

Bears back to caves. I bought on localbitcoins in the UK near the (hopefully) bottom.

cuz thats when he was born right? no way in hell inca could have had a bitcoin before he had that specific bitcointalk account. no way in hell.

Though I can understand why, judging by his posts, you would assume he's a one-year-old, I somehow doubt it.
If you are trying your hand at sarcasm, OTOH, only n00bs and money launderers pay a premium for BTC by buying on localbitcoins.  The rest sell.
Hope I've cleared things up for you a bit Smiley

wow you're so dumb you can't even understand what i was saying...even though it is written down for you to review over and over. not really surprised.

Living in the UK localbitcoins was the only way for me to buy in early 2013. If I had discovered it slightly earlier I would be far wealthier than I am now as I bought in monthly tranches :p. C'est la vie.

I occasionally buy on there still - if the premium is very competitive (which it often is during price falls).

Anyway lambchop has revealed that despite his prolific posting he is just a regular sell-to-buy-back-lower bitcoin bull like the rest of us. Isn't that right Mr '5200 posts bashing bitcoin in less than a year' Smiley
2157  Economy / Speculation / Re: TIME TO BUY on: December 29, 2014, 12:26:55 AM
Smoothie is an early adopter. Unlike you he didn't sell out early and regret it. I doubt he is holding anything other than a large profit.

Only if he's not a permabull & sold for fiat.  Remember the "you haven't lost if you didn't sell" nonsense spouted 'round these parts?  Well, the converse holds true too:  You haven't profited if you didn't sell.

As far as regrets go, I could buy back just hair less then DOUBLE the coin I sold with the money I made by selling it.

So you sold out in the 6xx range in the last run up - ouch. No wonder you are so desperate for the price to fall. 5200 posts convincing others to sell so you can buy in again at a lower price. Hope it's worth it!

2159  Economy / Speculation / Re: I don't know about you guys...but all this fear is getting me excited.. on: December 28, 2014, 11:08:20 PM
It would just take every bitcoiner to buy one Bitcoin extra and the next bubble would happen. But markets aren't like that  Smiley
