On my side didn't notice anything new Roll Eyes

Btw since majority havent experienced these new changes, is it possible this might be something to do with the backlight on your device or a browser plugin that has played around with your color settings...

OP just to make sure we are seeing the same thing, do you have a before and after for everyone to see these changes ??

Hey guys, I know it is prudent to wait to post your answers on a week when you can gain advantage on a couple of questions but that is a blade that cuts both ways, if you miss the deadline today you will lose points on today game plus all those questions that are for the whole week like tennis and DOTA.

Am in, just in time for some popcorn while the action is about to unfold ( several hours from now anyway).

Some action to look forward to for the day;
  • Arsenal - Chelsea
  • Real sociedad - Real Madrid
Juicy games, someone is about to get heartbroken today...

Man this Dota question is so hard to look for information or even betting help from. I forgot the site that Trofo shared, but luckily I found an updated site just a few minutes ago that tells me... nothing I don't know except 2 teams for sure in the final lol

Anyway, good luck to all, especially to Harkorede for meeting me!!
Some sports gossip, care to share this new source of info you have...wouldn't mind getting a second opinion on my guesses with esport  Tongue
2144  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do you actaully consider KYC in terms of information that has to be given on: May 02, 2023, 02:07:44 PM
I think its safe to say email address  and phone numbers can be categorized as soft KYC because  of the ease of having them, but anything that request live selfies, tilt your head left and right, upload document's and go the extra mile of asking for bank statements and the alike  will always spook the privacy conscious users because they don't trust how these platforms handle our user data and if hacked this data is never safe in their hands...Its about time crypto spoke one language when it comes to KYC, do it once and never do it again...something like a metamask daddy can surely be built to handle such.
2145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is Bitcoin to the youth? on: May 02, 2023, 01:55:13 PM
Generally bitcoin for the youth means convenience and not having to go through the hurdles of KYC when dealing with fiat, or currency barriers and what not...With bitcoin we all speak the same language and more crypto markets are accessible to more users than ever before, though the biggest marketplaces aren't yet fully integrated with digital currencies millennial will keep asking for these services and sooner or later this will become a reality.

1 slot is still open
It's hard to tell by eyeballing the spreadsheet, the open slot is for which rank exactly?  "legendary" maybe..
Its written in the spreadsheet: "any rank", which means any rank starting from full member to legendary.
Thought the details were going to be found in the thread as it has always been done everywhere, but seen it now, cheers.

A few days ago, a user on this forum asked if it was possible to reverse a bitcoin transaction cause he accidentally sent funds to the wrong address. That's the kind of post these scammers look for. I'm sure he got a couple of messages from people claiming to have a solution to his issue.
Not really a scam but its possible to reverse  a transaction if it has not yet been confirmed on the blockchain by using the "replace by fee" aka "RBF" which achieves this by double spending to invalidate the first transaction.

And rule of thumb, if you want help and you do not want to be scammed... keep the conversation in an open space ,unless it gets to a point of dealing with a reputable user and some details aren't meant for all eyes to see!

All in all great write up OP Cool

I think it's time to leave Binance, any alternatives?
As much as this is a good idea to ditch the centralized platform, unfortunately we have a few options out there that can matchup to them, and the fact that these guys are available in several other countries and support quite a huge list of coins make them still relevant in this crypto industry inspite of their regulatory battles and what not..

Btw easy for some users to say leave them(Binance) because  they have access to bitcoin atms, crypto cards to cash out and several other exchanges operating  in their home towns, but for people with no choice not even a Dex will be the best option as these platforms reap people off with below market price coins  or over price coins when you want to buy on these platforms...for now while still looking for a new crypto home Binance is okay just dont leave your coins on the exchange and read T&Cs before using this platform if you are new to their  service.

2151  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if BTC won't see ATH again? on: May 01, 2023, 02:10:32 PM
What do you mean "What if BTC won't see ATH again? " are you giving  us a hint that bitcoin could be closing shop Huh Because its the only way this could happen...and unfortunately this being a digital age bitcoin is here to stay!!!

Let's be honest, market do not follow any rules. There is no rule or law that says BTC should reach another ATH next cycle and next after. What if 69K was the maximum it could reach, and for the next years or decades it will be mostly fluctuating between 15k and let's say 40k.
You know the thing about most of us crypto enthusiasts, we want these crypto assets to remain bullish for the rest of their life time and when ever these coins see red we want a response to happen by tomorrow, but that's not how markets work.

If we look at one of the oldest assets out there "Gold", you will learn that its ATH was set several years ago and it took a long time before the ATH was breached again and this same assumption can be applied to BTC...it might not happen today or tomorrow but the fact remains that this ATH will be broken one day!

2152  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: May 01, 2023, 12:29:25 PM
Congratulations  @joker_josue on this great service that supports/compliments the forum, and seeing this is built more like a centralized platform I saw a nice question that wasn't addressed, but in the name of continuity, it would be nice to know the road map TalkImg holds.

What will happen to the image database if something happens to you? Would you consider give access to another (trusted) user in the future perhaps?

Hope not too early to ask this question, but have you considered having support staff to your service that can dedicate resources to the continued running of TalkImg for the image hosting service for BitcoinTalk?

Perhaps this will be answered later on depending on the success of the service?

2154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: low-cost hardware wallet for less than 10 dollars on: May 01, 2023, 11:39:30 AM
I keep getting that inner voice telling  me cheap is expensive and seeing that price I think in the long run someone will be paying for it one way or another...

Why is this wallet so cheap compared to whats on the market?

For how long has this been on the market and what "negative" reviews does it have?

Besides its low price, why should any one be interested in this wallet??
2155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 5000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: April 30, 2023, 07:40:56 PM
Congratulations vd309!

@vd309 A well deserved win! I hope you get to the final now😁
Here I was thinking I ran out of luck when vd309 knocked me out in the second round , when he/she just proved how good he simply is Roll Eyes

Guess vd309 is that worthy opponent that I would like to see go all the way and win it but too many quality players remaining at this point, good luck to all.
2156  Economy / Reputation / Re: [v2][Self Moderated] In Merits, Count Down To Your Next Rank... on: April 30, 2023, 06:31:11 PM
My Countdown to Senior Member Rank
Number of Merit(s) left: 19 17
Dropped in a few gold coins to your name hope it goes a long way, and seeing you are a regular to the forum and post quality is also more than acceptable (above average) will sure be reading more of your posts, good luck to you Smiley
Four gold coins soon.
3.It is mandatory that You must be less than 25 merits from next rank to make a count down post on this thread.

Sorry to asked about this as per the instructions says "a user must be less than 25 merits to the next rank" but I want to know about those who have achieved their targeted ranks and needs about 50 to 100 merits above to the next rank after achieving previous rank, are they still free to announce to the next rank or would keep the space empty maybe after getting close to the next rank by 24 merits they posted their countdown here?
Think of it as for every archived rank, your timer resets and you can only post your countdown again when you are short  by the 25 merits to get to a new rank, good luck to you.
2157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is important? Knowledge or Experience? Or both in Bitcoin Learning! on: April 30, 2023, 06:13:50 PM
Why do i get the feeling this question almost feels like one of those questions of which one came first the chicken or the egg  Roll Eyes

Anyway, as far as I know and believe, you need experience to acquire knowledge and not the other way round...a reason why people  at a work place doing the same job for several years will be paid more money than the newbies,  because the value  is in the experience which has broadened the knowledge base inturn. It only gets bad after all the years and expected knowledge someone shows no knowledge or expertise in the field then their is a problem and in such a scenario knowledge > experience.
2158  Economy / Economics / Re: New currency from BRICS countries on: April 30, 2023, 05:20:55 PM
I have not taken much interest in this, but seeing all the sanctions put on Russia backfiring ...
All I see now is Russia literally  going with the enemy of my enemy is my friend to counter/undo whatever pressure they tried to put on Russia is scary. If you look at this BRICS thing, these guys want to now use their Superpower status to destabilize the US currency and other economies  that peg their money using it...just not sure if Bitcoin is in crossfire but whatever currencies are introduced BTC will still flourish thats for sure.

As I can see all these things to manipulate BTC right? What are your thoughts about this?
I dont think bitcoin is of any interest to the guys, we all know the target currency here is the US dollar and if anything BTC could gain from this currency war Roll Eyes
2159  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it legal for our kids to learn trade? on: April 30, 2023, 12:57:26 PM
Its not about being legal or not...Some of these skills can best be learnt from someone  close to you without the need to attain it as professional  education, if anything this will grow to be a passion and you will do it naturally and be good at it as one grows.

Besides the best of their craft learn these skills while they are young as the get to have more time to sharpen their skills under the watchful eye of a guardian  or parent.

Legal aspect, well lets just say if those skills attained are for personal use its legal but anything labor intense could trigger the employing of minors.
2160  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: On location with broken phone; How to pay? (Bitcoin, Monero, or ectc.) on: April 29, 2023, 11:15:54 PM
Hello everyone, Suppose I want to pay for my consumed meal in a restaurant. But my phone with wallet, (or my hardware wallet) just broke; How do I pay then?
I think we need not to be heavily reliant on one type of payment as maintainance or network outage can happen(in terms of internet) and just to be prudent, carry some cash on you, if you have a backup try get wallet restored from there and pay for your meal Smiley

Is there a crypto solution that I can still pay? Or is the only solution, that I have to make a verbal promise with the shop owner.

Regarding Bitcoin, Monero, or ectc.

Thanks for the answers.  Wink
If you are a regular you might be allowed to pay later, just to keep that customer owner relationship  going, but if not verbal agreements are going to be a tough thing to get to as the guys might have trust issues....but to avoid all this plan your day and have backup solutions to settle your bill.
