Did anyone watch the opening ceremony? It was the most amazing inauguration function I've ever watched.

Hi. I live in Ukraine and oppose Yanukovych. Whatever it was, but this does not give people the power to live. People are just trying to survive and exist. All financial flows are concentrated in their hands, corruption terrible police real bandits. Beggarly wages and pensions. I know that in Europe, too, is not sugar, but we live in this way can no longer. We do not want war. We want to change. Support us please. PayPal MelnikSergiy@i.uaMy page on facebook www.facebook.com/sergiy.melnik.75 Thank you. Do you think that everything will be fine once Ukraine is given the EU membership? How about you take a holiday and go there and see how "fine" everybody is doing right now? I visited Greece and Cyprus last year. I know about the pleasures EU brought to those nations.

Income tax is ok but not if the tax is use to fund wars...
All the wars are funded by tax money.... including the recent American invasion of Iraq.

You know what'd be really cool? A libertarian gay female atheist as president.
Libertarian and Gay is very rare.... and Libertarian females are rarer still... I think Libertarians in general are pretty rare. No... may be around 5-10% of the US population.

For a few seconds Bitcoin hit $160 in BTC-E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone dumped 15,000 coins in a few minutes.
Now it is back up $600+

BTC-e was at $102 few minutes ago! Why, why, why did I cancel my bids at 120! Are you kidding? Right now BTC-E prices at $617.

What would be illegal about it, and do they actually do that?
It is illegal. Because, those mining rigs don't belong to them. They should just manufacture the devices and then ship them to their customers. Yes. They do that regularly. There were some threads here a few months ago.

And where does rpietila prove that 927 people have more than 1K BTC?
He is one of the most reputed members around here and he did some sort of a study, which is by and large considered as sufficiently accurate.

I don't agree that it is too early. One should start slowly moving away from Mt.Gox. That way their damage will be less when they do crash. There are better options out there, so why not use them.
Just give them one week or so. If they don't sort out their problems, then we can dump them.

vladimir club is 0.01% of whole number of coins or 1/10000 thus 21 mill/10000 = 2100
a mini vlad would be 210 coins, which right now I think most people don't have
According to the latest stats, only 927 people have more than 1K coins. Source? Right here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=316297.0

The only people who are gaining from BTC mining right now are companies like the BFL. They illegally mine for coins using mining hardware, which should have been shipped to their customers many months ago.

I have a customer in Singapore who wants to purchase bitcoin, what would be the current process? does anyone know? From this week onward buyers will have to pay 7% GST on their purchases.
|
|
|
If I am not mistaken, the GST in Singapore is 7%. It is a bit high, but not as insanely high as it is in Norway.

Too early perhaps. Clarkmoody is still showing the Gox exchange graphs.
|
|
|
They will bring down the Gox price and de-facto rob their own locked-up customers by devaluing the price, waiting for them to panic, not posting updates, and buying up cheap coins to be able to handle partial payouts again in the near future and still earn money on trade fees. Brilliant!
I was never a fan of Gox. I have always trusted BTC-E much more than Gox, despite heavy propaganda against them. I have seen a lot of people accusing the BTC-E as an exchange being run by the Russian mafia.

Here is their website, if you want to try out. Nice collection.
