Setup your own exchange, with a $20 floor price. Oh wait, somebody already did that, for 4 minutes, with another coin. It didn't work so well.
Maybe a similar thing, with a more reasonable floor price, closer to the BTC equivalent of market value.  However, running an exchange for fiat currency often involves government regulation, depending on the country it is established in.
Probably would be less of a headache to just set a huge buy wall in BTC, on each exchange that it's listed. Then slowly move it upwards, as needed. I'd do it, but I became a gambling addict, and lost almost all my BTC on  http://cryptohalve.com/

Means instead of creating our own exchange with a so-called floor price as XPY people did and f**ked everyone, we should all just decide a price and all should put our buys at that rate only so that it may not get dumped, right?
If it's that, then I second you and I won't mind to help you guys out in such cases... But the only thing we need to take care of will be, we should also remember that there are many big pump groups too who may still buy with us and then just sell off harder to damage the reputation of the coin...

Yeah but pump groups first need to acquire a large portion of the Coin in order to dump even harder. There is only 4% available for sale, the way it is now 1 BTC would pump it past 1700 and then all holders are making ROI anyways so it wouldn't matter. Proof of Stake rewards are the same no matter the size of the network so that would just mean more rewards for everyone else as those Coins need to split again in order to gain reward.
2162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way of initial coin distribution on: March 01, 2015, 07:52:07 AM
I say take a snapshots of a variety of shitcoin's blockchains after they have been dumped and are almost dead. Any whales holding a premine will have dumped long ago, leaving the bagholders stuck with it after buying. The bagholders are the kind of people you want in a distribution because they are less likely to immediately dump. The miners mentality is to mine like crazy, then dump onto bagholdrs. The IPO dev's mentality is to immediately dump the premine onto some bagholders. If you distribute to a large number of existing bagholders there are bound to be plenty with the holding mentality.

I'm still looking for some insight from people here in order to do this exact thing.

I have created a new Coin for ColossusCoin and a Proof of Stake only Coin and want to create a snapshot in order to distribute it to ColossusCoin holders, whatever is left after 3 months becomes part of the Development Fund.

The CV2 Blockchain runs perfectly as a pure POS only Coin and has a POS difficulty of more than 50! while also very efficient and rewarding.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=941433.0

It's also already listed on an exchange and has it's own Block explorer.

Again, if anyone has any experience in working with snapshots and wants to help with an actual distribution in this method either for Coins, or BTC then please pm me.
2163  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: March 01, 2015, 07:28:03 AM

This was posted 10 hours ago on HT and it s a very material event.  This is equivalent of doing a massive subsidy (inflation) cut which is what I said would have to happen before XPY can make a major sustainable move up.

"With no more Hashstakers being sold by Gaw only Primes will be able stake after these stakers are finished. This brings me to the question how much are Primes really worth in USD."

If anyone has good knowledge about this, please feel free to add some color.  Like how much inflation exactly will be removed overnight due to no more hashstakers?

This is GREAT news!

I don't really follow what GAW does that much other than this thread, what is the difference between the hashstakers and the primes again? and how are they going about removing hashstakers? I really can't be assed looking it up myself but might be able to help you figure out profitability.

so lets say that i can back CON with FIAT money from the profit on my company .. interesting thought

I see a lot of bogus claims in other coins that are backed by this or that all make believe.. if i was to put up actual profit dollars to maintain the stability of the coin how would i go bout doing that ? ,now I am not doing this for charity !! however i believe that having some FIAT backing would increase the intrinsic value of this great coin .

suggestions??

That's actually a good idea, I don't think it would cost that much to have a basic exchange made, I even know a guy that has the skill to make one. If someone was interested in something like this I could put you in touch with him.

By the way PayCon Stakes, it awards the highest to large, actively Staking people on the network. The rewards of PayCon was an accident, it was never supposed to be 30 Coins per Block statically, only as a top end reward. I thought it was interesting for a Proof of Stake Coin to have a static, high yield reward (30 Coins per Block) so I wanted to see how it would work out and have come to the conclusion that possibly all Proof of Stake Coins should reward in this way and may possibly close a lot of attack vectors because of the way it Stakes and the high Stake percentage on the network.

It works well for the market because you need to have some sell pressure from holders in order to distribute the Coin but not so much that it collapses the price and never makes it ok to hold some Coins on the exchange for sale. It has no Proof of Work which means all profits come directly from the holders except that there is a hard limit on what can be sold in a day (43k a day if the entire network were selling generated Coins).

It would work well for profit (15 mil new Coins a year) and Fee generation goes into Stake as well so would be good to have Fiat integration as a for-profit venture but I think the Coin itself needs some more time to be worked on.

I have been thinking about a change to the Fees and how it would affect the long-term price and fluidity with a higher minimum Fee, having a higher Fee would make it more expensive to send Coins but Stake rewards would also be higher as activity picks up on the network. This has been going fantastic so far so I think we should focus on making the Coin work for us, if we have Fiat integration so soon, it may make it harder to make changes to the protocol and might grow too big, too fast.

However, we should push boundaries wherever we can.

Ok so I just put up the Windows and Mac wallets with the DNS seeder added, I had already asked pollforall if he could recompile it from source so it also includes the source changes I made. It cost me 0.7 BTC for the DNS seeder, hosting for 6 months and recompiling it into the wallet so please consider donating to me to help progress PayCon for you.

saluti cresti :O i know you no scam but where is the electric wallets?

Invest in GAW, or invest in something built by the trolls themselves which actually rewards it's holders  Cool

PayCon is everything you can imagine and more!

Retweet, one by one, I believe.

OP looks great, I LMAO at the wallet download links
Video is awesome. Really nice work all around.

lol, the thing I find funny is that all these Coins try to be professional but professionalism limits development. Just let anyone add anything they want and make it exciting because the key isn't in merchant adoption but gaining the widest possible audience. People say they want these pro developers, fuck that shit, I want all the dissenters because they ARE the spirit of Crypto.

The rewards are great, no POW to kill price and good POS rewards without hyper-inflation making the chart look ugly. At most you could ever see 10,000 Coins being dumped a day assuming that 25% of the Stakers were selling all their Coins as they Staked but they would eventually be selling at a loss and that would be more or less impossible when there are near daily updates and the Coin runs flawlessly.

In the spirit of PayCon, we are pre-announcing an announcement that we will be announcing something BIG, HUGE and LIFE CHANGING

But cannot tell you what it is Smiley

Freaking awesome, have been staking and waiting a lot for something like this, and we expect to have an ETA for this if you don't mind... Smiley

ETA? not sure exactly what that is

I did update the OP with better looking links, better looking description, added the Cryptopia Block explorer, added windows and Github link images.

The actual update will be a new Windows and Mac wallets with a new DNS seeder that will let users connect without needing to create a config file along with updated links to all media in the Social tab in the wallet as well added links to exchanges. This is all done, just waiting on pollforall to recompile the wallets since he compiled them earlier today before I made the changes.

Well it saddens me as there seem's there is no come back from the devs regarding whether their site is a scam or not therefore the only conclusion after 24hrs+ is it must be a scam.!

The best thing we can all do is to spread the word far and wide. Reddit groups/Here on BCT/allcryptotalk.com, etc

Simply make one post and copy and paste all over the place under your various accounts which may gain maximum exposure.

Its our job to try to keep crytpto's safe from scammer's such as these.
Also stick all your follow back links here where you post and I will get them Re-tweeted.

We have to stamp out this kind of stuff..

Majika

P.S rhegie13, yes that will be a great help.. I will also bring this up with Namescheap via their support ticket

Well the best way would be if the Coins listed would post about it their OP

You mean let it stay in the OP like kind of warning?

No, until itīs not 100% sure itīs a scam let it stay like it is now.

But i canīt speak bad about them, but well only used them once (deposited 1200 CON, withdrew 0.01 btc)

Took a little bit long, seems like they doing withdraws manuelly.

Itīs suspicious, yes. But wouldnīt call it a scam now.

Not done any research if deposits / withdraws from a lot of customers are stuck and no idea how good (if any) their support is.

Yes, if it's confirmed a scam then I could remove it or just change it to a harsher warning.

Nice Volume on coinhey for a brand new some days old exchange.

Must be fake , canīt believe 32 BTC volume on "BitBean" and 46 BTC on "Bitstake" in  24hour.

I had already put that it's a likely scam in the OP, if I remove it completely then people might stumble upon it and lose money?

the new con exchange www.coinhey.com  seems to be a scam i sent a deposit  to them over 24 hours ago and its no were to be found also no reply from support. Scam ??

I updated the OP with a better warning for now and will revise it soon
2180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Colossuscoin- 1.5.2 BIG, STRONG, and FRIENDLY on: February 28, 2015, 06:06:50 AM

It seems almost impossible to download whole blockchain no matter from where I start syncing (from the beginning, or from some of the downloaded blockchains).

I think Colossuscoin is by source code the closest related to the Bottlecaps coin and it should be updated on the same way as Bottlecaps is.

Otherwise, for many people including me it will not be possible to send coins and participate in Colossuscoin version 2.

Any solutions for this problem?

That would mean finding a mudder fuddin stable and reliable coin. Wink eg. one not cloned by that raskly mudder..

COL was initially known as IFCv2. This was supposed to be mudder's response when the IFC dev, fisheater, turned down his offer to fix IFC. As it turns out.. mudder cloned IFC. This qualified him as a high level douchebag maggot because of the way he toyed with the crypto community.

mudder is :
A/ a complete amateur who is incapable of cloning a stable coin and/or only knows how to make the simplest changes, eg. rewards, block times, hidden premines ect.

or

B/ knows what he is doing and is constanly fucking with his supporters minds

All the while, he and the hobo impersonating douches at Crypsty have made fortunes fleecing the greedy noobs.

Mudda was/isn't a very good coder hence why we want to help out all the original holders, there wasn't anything hidden in the code he's done and code is open source for that reason.
