No, it's based on time. It sends out Coins as TX Fees at set intervals with a random amount of drift time, it's like a range where there is a minimum amount of time (say 2 minutes) with a random amount of time (1 second to 4 minutes) for an average of 3 minutes. When you Stake during this week, you have a chance to hit some of these Blocks and in order to Stake when you want you could hold back some of Your Stake for the days you want, or let it Stake and manage the sizes of your Blocks to be a bit larger for higher weight in each Block. It is recommended to have Blocks of around 500 Coins each.

wow, very cool, thanks

oh, and please move this to a different forum if this is the wrong place.
My understanding is that the above is exactly what you had posted. If this is the case then you were essentially writing a "+1" post which is not allowed as these kinds of posts do not add anything to the conversation. Yes you did write about potentially moving the thread, however the thread being moved is a given if it is filed in the incorrect section (moderators do not need permission for this).

It would be acceptable to write "+1" or "wow, very cool, thanks" and then add something above that, for example you could say why you agree or add additional points to what was said....or you could ask a question for clarification.

But if people can't respond then how do you know they are part of the thread or understand what's being said?

This seems like too heavy moderation, other people have had their posts deleted in the thread as well and have complained, atleast 5-6 people. This sets the tone that you might be scared to post anything because you fear it will be deleted by mods.
People can respond as long as they are adding something to the conversation. If they are simply agreeing with the OP (or another post) then there is no reason for them to post

I disagree with this because it hinders freedom of speech.
No it doesn't. You are still allowed to agree (or disagree) with any viewpoint you wish. You are just asked to add something when you agree.

If anyone is to take your "agreement" seriously anyway you will want to backup your view by saying as to why you agree, otherwise people will just think you are a sheep

Ok I understand what you mean, I think the mods do a great job and was more saying that some of the things might be a bit heavy handed and feel like I would be banned for expressing opinion on the matter.

What the fuck is wrong with this paycon guy? Many of us my self included are here looking for answers about getting scammed. The last thing we need is some fagbutt promoting his crapcoin.

please report or remove that shit

I didn't say to buy it and don't buy it but we've spent about $800 and some hard work and shows what can be done.

Remember, Josh dumped more than 40k USD on Christmas eve so that is 50X as much as he could have spent on features.

Still under budget of building the worlds best Coin for under $1000 Tongue

Josh/GAW could be interested in buying up PayCon and re-brand it to PayCoin 2.0 and BOOM one of the best Proof of Stake Coins in cryptouniverse. Plus the developer of the year 2015 which he could pay from the thousands of stashed away BTC

If he can spend 40k X-Mas gift and 1,000,000$ on a Domain name , well then 150k for PayCon not so much Wink

25k more then can buy Constand Onlineshop, too to finally make the Honor Program happen.

But only CON accepted Wink

Remember that PayCon is mainly only held by Bitcointalk people who are tech capable, and so far all development paid was outsourced to community developers, this means that anything acquired adds buying power into the community instead of Coins being dumped for fiat. When you think of how a Coin can benefit you need to look at the wider ecosystem, it still has a lot of work to be done but it's getting there.

Fun fact:
If you dump millions of dollars into Fiat from BTC to pay for toys and whatnot, you drain the buying power out of the community.

Hey guys, just in case you wanted to build your own local, searchable archive of humorous scammery. This script will scrape the entire hashtalk site and download every thread in RSS form.

This will create a shitload of RSS files, so be sure to run in its own subdirectory, ie ~/hashtalkscambullshit/

Code:
nano get_ht.py

then paste in the following

Code:
#/bin/bash

# if your name is homero, better hire the nations smartest developers and most feared lawyers to help you with this... we all know you have trouble with computers.

import urllib, os, time

def getstart():
        startfrom = input('What post to start from? enter 0 to start from beginning: ')
        endon = input('What post to finish on? enter something like 99999 to get the whole site: ')
        runloop( startfrom, endon );

def runloop( i, x ):
        currentlyat = 0
        pauseat = 10
        total = x - i
        while i <= x:
                if currentlyat == pauseat:
                        os.system('clear')
                        print "Always Profitable! Hang on, grabbing threads %s - %s.... Hopefully PayCoin doesn't reach $0 before we're finished!" % ( i, i + 10)
                        pauseat = pauseat + 10
                        time.sleep(1)
                else:
                        os.system('wget -b -a htwgetlog --no-check-certificate -q --show-progress https://hashtalk.org/topic/%s.rss > /dev/null' % (i,i))
                        i = i + 1
                        currentlyat = currentlyat + 1
        os.system('clear')
        print "%s threads downloaded." % total
        print "We're done! Enjoy searching the scam database."

getstart()

execute

Code:
python get_ht.py

It'll ask you which post to start from (0 if you're beginning or another number if you're resuming a previous scrape)

Then it'll ask which post to stop at. I don't know what the currently highest known post is, haven't bothered to check.

Oh, whats that you say? You say you're only interested in Homero's Sales pitches? No problem!

Code:
#/bin/bash
wget https://hashtalk.org/user/mrceo/topics.rss

That's awesome!

Hey can you make an auto-poster too? You could make it randomly post funny messages and then later on to edit all the posts to whatever you want.

I can see the message you are trying to put across Crestington but some people obviously feel that you are posting too many of these. But I would prefer it if you continued with paycon rather than help the fraudulent bastards in charge of paycoin.

Yes I only really wanted to share because I am proud of the work. I don't really want to help the PayCoin people either, I would like to get them to help me with PayCon instead and then open source all of the things they were going to make.

Nixminer made Cryptoplays as a clone of Hashtalk and I would actually like to see it as something like Minertalk where lots of Coins can be added and have their own sub-forums.

We also have Constand in the works and the idea there is to make it as a eBay type marketplace where people can sell their items for the type of Coins of their choosing, then you can sell PayCoined T-shirts for BTC, LTC etc.

Even if I would want to help PayCoin directly, for the most part I can't/won't because of moral reasons and for me it's much better to work on PayCon. They asked me if I wanted to help them with the original roadmap, I asked them if they wanted to outlay some of the ideas on PayCon instead.
Wasn't suggesting collaboration, just giving a technical hand following request as you already did.

Fuck off you desperate dipshit.

Who? what? where? why? What are you referring to?

I don't have a hashtalk account that isn't banned at the moment, but can someone please please please collect all the gay sounding emails between Stu and Josh and this video and post them on hashtalk

Just a little reminder, a new post shows up as a recent post but edited posts don't so if you happened to just post something and later on changed it, no one would really notice and could stay there for longer Wink

All my accounts are banned though.  Literally can't even log in.

What, can't make a VPN, TOR or even IP masking? What kind of Sock are you?

So accounts are IP banned, not banned by username?

I don't know, I haven't ever posted on Hashtalk but I assume only usernames, you can't ban IP addresses because you can use rerouting so it doesn't matter anyways.

There are likely many laws being broken in this thread.
 * Digging through other people's emails
 * Listening to other people's voice mails
 * Posting SMS messages that are not yours
 * Manufacturing false information
 * Dragging people's families through this mud.

Right now there are more laws being broken in this thread than probably what were broken by the parties involved.   This stuff belongs in the courts not in on public display.

I think the family and personal stuff is too much, I think it's group mentality both ways and lots of over the line stuff. He did kinda bring this on himself though, don't you think?

From Coinbuzz http://www.coinbuzz.com/2015/04/17/breaking-gaw-miners-ceo-admits-to-charity-fraud-scandal-continues/

Quote
The CEO of GAW Miners (which once was a reputable company), Josh Garza, has admitted to charity fraud.

In the past, GAW Miners sold “Hashlets”, a cloud mining contract which allowed users to earn a small amount of bitcoin daily. One of these Hashlets was named the ‘Remember Hashlet’, which looked like this:

As you see, the picture of the ‘Remember Hashlet’ has 9/11 written on it. This is because it was released a few days after 9/11, and it was supposed to help people recall the September 11th event. A promise was also made about where the funds from the sales of it would go:

This statement effectively means that Josh Garza promised that GAW Miners would donate 100% of the sales money from the Remember Hashlets they sold. It also guaranteed that the only amount of Remember Hashlets ever sold would be 500. However, recent email leaks show us that this isn’t the case: a total of 2296 Remember Hashlets were sold, which adds up to around $48,000 in total sales. (DKIM Signatures)

Josh Garza then further verified this by making a post on HashTalk, a GAW Miners-run forum. However, once the sales finished, it was revealed that he had donated $10,000 to the 9/11 Foundation instead of the 9/11 Memorial Fund. No one really paid attention to it since the money was going to a good cause, but the recent email leaks that the total of the sales money was not $10,000, but $48,000.

This means that Garza did not fulfill his promise of donating the amount of the total sales of Remember Hashlets to the 9/11 Memorial Fund. Not only did he fail to do so, he also admitted it by making the following post:

This post claims that the rest of the funds that were not donated ($38,000) were donated to other charities. However, this constitutes charity fraud, and Garza is essentially admitting it; he made customers believe that the money they were paying went towards the 9/11 Memorial Fund, which never happened.

Did gawceo's twitter account get hacked and unhacked earlier today? It was tweeting some funny things about ponzi's and what-not, but when I came around to this thread and checked it again for screenshots, the tweets were gone.

Anyone got screenshots of those?  Huh

I think it was Homero playing Interwebz games. OMG, i was hackered
there are screenshots a few pages back

Found it. Sorry. This thread is a clusterfuck to navigate. It's like 10 pages back. Half this thread reads like a copy-paste from a gigantic scam accusation thread.

Very entertaining.  Grin

This is the link to the twitter hack if you want it.

Yeah, burn them with tx fees, would love to see the market cap drop to a real value
it's a shitcoin with no future and no one but a bag holder would want to see it live.
tx fees will save the coin, what a joke.

It isn't about tx fees, it's that you can change a coin in whatever way you want, it just has to be rewarding for people to hold and sell small amounts at a time so it has liquidity in the market. Just refine stuff as you go, if you want a hardfork then you take the time of the life of the Coin, about how many people you think there are, and the amount of services and determine the time that can be given.

tx fees are the incentive to ....ok wait.
 Ha, you got me!
sorry folks, back to "always profitable, never obsolete" hashlets! thread.

In what way?

What way do you think is best with tx fees in a Proof of Stake only Coin? There is fee destruction (fees reduce the moneysupply), and fees through mining (fees added to the next Block).

The tx fees are important in the design of a coin so what would be ideal for you and why?
