2161  Other / Off-topic / Re: Chinese products are junk on: August 11, 2020, 12:52:23 PM
Today my gaming chair plastic cracked
4 days a go a cheap wallet that i had broke
Last week 2 t-shirts that i washed turned white
2 weeks ago i bought a cheap lighter ,pressed it to light my smoke ...guess what it broke

It's like anything that Chinese make is junk ... it's ridiculous

I would guess that theses are low end, cheaper items?

You get what you pay for.  If you want quality, they can make that as well, but it costs more.
2162  Economy / Digital goods / Re: MobiDAX: World's First Cross-Platform Exchange Software - iOS - Android - Web on: August 11, 2020, 12:17:28 PM
Cross platform is kind of useless for exchange software installed in one location - unless you developed this for resale?

2163  Other / Off-topic / Re: Spaghettios don't taste like the used to on: August 11, 2020, 12:11:19 PM
The Taste has changed. is it the sauce or is it more Additives and chemicals?

I noticed all the tomato based "meals" change taste a few years ago.  Could be a new suppliers or new techniques.   I don't like it, and like JC said, the pesticides they use on the spaghetti trees are some of the worst in the world.
2164  Other / Meta / Re: VOD should be removed from default trust for systematic abuse of his position on: August 11, 2020, 10:47:40 AM
I'm not against anyone here. If you guys really want to finish this. Then give and compile concrete evidences so that theymos can look into this much easier. Imagine 5 years of debate and still not a single thing happening.

From what I can see, this will never end.

It's not a debate.  Techy is a troll.  He changes his position and demands as the situation changes.  I have never abused my position on default trust, as evidenced by never having been removed from it.
2165  Economy / Lending / Re: im looking for loan for trading capital on: August 10, 2020, 08:48:06 PM
people who read this thread see that you are with negative attitude im respectful

I'm sure people will appreciate the manners as you scam them.   Roll Eyes

Our regular scammer is quite the asshole
2166  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China deliberately flooding villages - a taste of the future. on: August 10, 2020, 08:32:47 PM
In the process, they appear to be harming their food supply, which will make them be less aggressive against other countries, such as the US as China will need to depend on the rest of the world for food.

So you feel a nation that is starving, or thirsting, will become less aggressive?

Just the opposite.
2167  Other / Meta / Re: Where to post asking if anyone is interested in starting a "project" together? on: August 10, 2020, 05:25:33 PM
but I want to toss around a few ideas and get some feedback, maybe form a "exploratory" team (If that can be done).

I've been in crypto for a decade, and I've run a website with 80,000 active members.

If you want to PM your ideas, I'll give you my opinion on if they will work or not and why.

I'm not looking to steal ideas - I have more than enough to work on now.
2168  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Working online for bitcoin - would you give this up? on: August 10, 2020, 04:20:47 PM
Top 20 countries with the lowest wages shows several countries in which $1/hour is above average. They won't turn a profit from advertising (they can't afford to buy most products)

Right now it looks to cost about $0.09 (0.000 007 5 Bitcoin) to have something manually verified.  I'm developing partnerships to have a certain number of tasks coming in per hour - I'm not going to be relying on advertising income.

If you're paying $1/hour, you'll potentially have millions of employees.

Club membership is for crypto enthusiasts.   There are a number of requirements, and the invitations are private to start.   I want to attract people that use crypto and are willing to spend it on other online services.  I don't want to attract people that don't care about crypto and just want to make money.

I'd have a very hard time trusting the third party will keep the video absolutely private, and for $1 per hour I certainly won't risk it.

I'd be interested in figuring out a way they could not access the videos - seeing as there is no human interaction needed.
2169  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GetBlock.io – fast & easy connection to major blockchain nodes! on: August 10, 2020, 03:00:41 PM
If you are interested in getting free access to a blockchain API, simply send us a request on getblock.io.
Also, feel free to contact us via e-mail at marketing@getblock.io. In case of technical issues, message us at support@getblock.io.

Do I need to email you to notify you (again) about your privacy policy?

It states you can change the terms at any time, and everyone agrees to such changes as soon as you change the date on the policy page.

Is your revenue based on the sale of usage information?   What is to stop you from creating lists of people who are interested in certain coins?
2170  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CryptoEarn(.)com - What would you turn it into? on: August 10, 2020, 02:25:34 PM
The first, the easy one, building a website with an index of offers, Ico drops, promotions, etc etc, and try to build a community around it, betting everything on the ref/aff earnings.

That's the standard "goto" for earning these days.  There are only so many of these offers, and most people have seen them before.

The fact the offers are open to anyone means you are not getting a special price.  You pay more for a product/service on these affiliate websites than you would if you bought it elsewhere - the extra money goes to the site owner, who then pays you a percentage - a percentage of what you would have got if you didn't use the site.

If you don't have development skills, don't waste time building it yourself.  Your return will be a lot greater if you sell the domain to someone who can develop it.
2171  Other / Off-topic / Re: Creating a group in the crypto space, for brotherhood & collective enrichment on: August 10, 2020, 12:54:49 PM
After doing this for a while, we now own 20 crypto blogs, making thousands per week in revenue, and decide after knowing each other for 6 months now and building trust that we develop a crypto faucet together.  We use the traffic from the blogs to jump start the faucet and start making 5 times what we were making before.

You don't need a partner to start up blogs or faucets.  They will fail/succeed based on marketing.  Why not start doing this yourself and in 12 months instead of 6, you'll be making all the money yourself?

Also, don't tell too many people about this awesome idea...  the more blogs there are, the less traffic each one gets.  :/

2172  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto-Scam.io Project on: August 10, 2020, 12:47:09 PM
@LeGaulois indeed it's difficult to prevent such behaviour unless reports are manually verified. To avoid this type of abuse, system is currently limited to one report per 15 minutes from any machine; I couldn't think at something better in short time.

Manual verification is a must.  This would be a good test project for micro-tasks.   Let's say you choose a five person verification - five people at random (sorted by when they helped you last, to avoid abuse) answer yes or no.  The majority sets the status, and ones that answered against the majority receive less tasks.

I would suggest you stay away from "limits".  False sense of security that cannot be enforced - cookie or IP manipulation will make your results worthless.

2173  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Working online for bitcoin - would you give this up? on: August 10, 2020, 12:38:48 PM
No, i would find better paying jobs which have better privacy.

Can I ask what privacy is lacking?  My method gives up no information all your utilities don't know - you are at home using power, water, etc.  They can deduce how often you shower, what temp you like your home at, etc.  The only privacy you give up is that you are available to work, and that isn't even stored - only the tasks you do.

I'm not interested with the job, but are there any rough estimation how many hours you could work (on average) in a day?

Not yet - I'm still working out the numbers.  My goal is to increase crypto usage, so the number of services I can offer will determine how many hours per day a person can work.
2174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if the project is fake? on: August 10, 2020, 12:20:19 PM
So how do you indentify if the project is fake?

Like you said:
- fake address
Others:
- no tax/business number
- no cash flow projections
- no insurance
- unclear ownership
- standard privacy policy / terms of service
- requires you to send coin before withdrawing coin

(took 5 mins - will add more when I think of it)
2175  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Working online for bitcoin - would you give this up? on: August 10, 2020, 11:38:02 AM
Also are these task as soon as it pops out in their computer would the users have some kind of deadline/allotted time for them to finish it before the task disappears and becomes invalid in your part? I see that this is also an important part for people who can't do the task right away.

Most would be "micro tasks" that require a response within 15 seconds or so, or it moves to the next person.  I would need an example of someone who would be "Available" but could not do a task right away.
2176  Other / Politics & Society / Splinters - the death of the internet on: August 10, 2020, 11:24:43 AM
China is no longer accepting HTTPS traffic using new protocols that hide the destination - not just the content.
The US wants to remove Chinese influence from their country.

"Splinternet" is the new global network going forward.  :/

Do you think either side will demand exclusivity?  Will resources be denied to services operating on the wrong side?

This effectively moves the Internet from a level 7 to a level 3 service - level 4+ will be defined by each splinter.
2177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Discuss & Earn on: August 10, 2020, 04:02:56 AM
And I pay people for their content (discuss & earn), but with subscription money and not with ad money like youtube (the project is ad-free). 50% of the money goes to the reward pool that is shared between users based on how many replies got their discussions, and 20% goes to referrers as a part of the referral program.

Would love to see your cash flow projections and growth numbers...
2178  Other / Off-topic / Re: Not sure if this would work, but is this a Time Machine? on: August 10, 2020, 03:02:28 AM
the point is, you can theoretically send yourself a message from the future to the past perhaps.

What theory is this?  Time is a measurement of change - how would it go backwards?
2179  Economy / Reputation / Re: Reason for being here on: August 10, 2020, 02:48:42 AM
I am not against face masks, but here's a fact - Face Masks won't improve your immune system!!

Face masks are to protect other people if you are sick.  It shows a lack of respect for others if you choose not to wear one around them.

f I wasn't on DT, Mr. OG would have stolen all the bitcoin by now.  I am a hero as evidenced by my decade being trusted.

Mr. OG steals 2,600 BTC and his only defense is pointing out what he thinks I have done wrong.    Roll Eyes
