Went long at 312... up we go... this game is getting too predictable.

Too bad, major dump incoming in about two or three days.

Enough to break the support? Do you think the support is fake? What's the read you have? I have looked at the indicators and charts and it doesn't look all end of days to me. There's just not enough momentum in either direction. You looking at the 12h MACD?

So we are down 5 dollars. Meanwhile shorts up another 1000 (to 17,500) since yesterday.

Hold me.

900 dollars. Stop fooling yourself.

Relax it is holiday season. Traders can run the price up and down a few dollars but they are a zero sum game. If demand is there then the price supports will eventually hold. We have been oscillating around this level for months now. Seems like building support to me.

275-417; $142 bounce
316-453; $137 bounce
342-395; $53  bounce
305-339; $34  bounce
312-???; $??(?)  bounce

is crypto done? Is ripple the future?  Cry

Quite right. Support seems to be strengthening!
2183  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chinese bears vs USA bulls, which one will win over? on: December 27, 2014, 04:49:12 PM
Do you know those 460K coins are mostly faked through exchange bots? How naive you are to trust their numbers? I talked with several Chinese, even themselves don't believe in their trading volume.

the west is insignificant in bitcoin trades. China controls the lions share of the trade of the token. So the muricans need to understand: they lost this game to the east (didn't hold, sold it all to china). Now live with it lovely delusional american obese white trash ...

CNY is where it's at

last 24h tradevolume:

CNY: 460k coins
USD: 33k coins
EURO: 1500 coins
RUR: 300 coins (insignificant russian market)

these numbers are what's normal trading action these days. China had 1300% more volume than the western exchanges. That's the norm now.
You americans think of yourself as way more important than what you actually are.

You also see from these numbers:

Whole of European continent doesn't even trade 50% of daily inflation of the coins (3600 new coins every day)
So since nobody is interested in the coins price keeps going down thanks to (not) brilliant fundamental idea of satoshi to give it big inflation.

But most of you don't even have half a brain

But back in the real world we all know that no fee trading for Chinese exchanges means the volume is entirely meaningless.

Big inflation? Are you aware that bitcoin has exponentially reducing inflation? Of course you know that the inflation was twice as 'big' before the last halving?

At least try and troll with some grasp of the facts.

2185  Economy / Speculation / Re: How can you NOT be a permabull? on: December 27, 2014, 01:38:43 PM
Everybody here is a bull in the wrong run. It makes sense to be a short time bear when the value is going down to make profits.

$1200 to $300, being a bear means 4 times profit.

True. Good luck continuing that trend!

I think something going to happen on BTC-e market..
seems like they going to close the exchange or massive drop coming.. i read it on the news also on twitter.. hope thats not true Shocked

Why would a massive drop occur? Citation.
2188  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 27, 2014, 11:05:45 AM
so 275 is the bottom for you?

I have no idea, but I would guess so.

It is difficult to value btc but the price has been higher than 275 for over a year now. In that time a lot of positive things have happened in the space, many that would not have been predicted with a straight face just a year ago.

We are in Holiday season and nothing that happens now is really that significant IMO (see volume). I think we see another pump next year which will draw in the next adoption wave.

Edit: I see stolfi is now posting in buttcoin. Impartial academic my arse!
2189  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 27, 2014, 10:25:42 AM

Yep. Whoever dumped 1000 coins on bitstamp certainly wasn't seeking best price - just to move the price downwards!

Bitpay as is previously documented do not just directly dump onto exchanges, and certainly not in large price moving tranches.

Didn't exactly look like the buyer you were celebrating last night was seeking best price either. You can't have it both ways.
'Hmmm ... it's genuine buying when someone tears through the order book on the upside but its a conspiracy when they market sell'. That makes zero sense.

Fair point. And that is why I don't really care about the short term price fluctuations. Everything above 275 is noise until we get to about 480 or so. Some upward noise would be nice, though.
2190  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 27, 2014, 10:02:10 AM
I just realized there is this Bitcoin superbowl thing going on. No idea what it is but apparantly it's quite big and a lot of eyes are lointing our way.
That makes that dump even more messed up. How much more obvious do you want it. These people are doing everything they can to scare away new people from Bitcoin. They won't stop till there's not a single buyer left.

2191  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chinese bears vs USA bulls, which one will win over? on: December 27, 2014, 09:28:46 AM
In all fairness, the chinese exchanges have a degree of manipulation that dwarfs US exchanges, just like that of corruption comparison in both sides.

US will be the driving force in 2015 and beyond.

Yep. Zero fee Chinese exchanges will simply be ignored once a regulated US exchange with heavy depth comes onboard.
2192  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 27, 2014, 09:19:14 AM

2193  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 26, 2014, 11:39:47 PM
Just opened a short. Didn't go all in on it, though. I think we've hit an impasse. We'll see, though. Far from 100% certain.

Just set a close stop..
2194  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mid term projections on: December 26, 2014, 11:32:48 PM
2k in 2 years is extremely conservative IMO. We should be between $5k and $25k at the very least by that time frame.
2k in 2 years assumes that 2015 will be a bearish year or stagnant at best. I can't see how that could be at this point with less than 21 Million of these puppies available to an interconnected planet

Market price makes its own way.

A bearish 2015, breaking 275 and bottoming over $100, is perfectly possible; and healthy to drive the price over 10k.

I love how you are here because you want to get rich off bitcoin. But expect the market to dump down to levels to allow you buy in before exploding into the stratosphere! Smiley

... But instead will sit and watch the rising price, waiting for the "real" bottom that never came, eventually once we approach the previous ATH will decide that they are going to cut their loose and buy the next dip. The dip never comes instead the price extends gains daily, the previous ATH is smashed through price goes exponential they end up buying in at 5k on the way up new ATH comes at 6k then we crash to $1500...

Hehe

Sounds about right. Just need to work on timing now.

Dat buywall, dat Christmas, dat Uptrend...BITCOIN Smiley

Dem cheap coins.

Buy people buy, before the train departs.

this train is going nowhere.

see you below 300.

thank you for closing your shorts.

Shouldn't you be closing yours too? They are underwater, right?
2196  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 26, 2014, 10:34:12 PM
Good.

Fewer miners means fewer coins on the market which means higher prices.

This your first day?

Technically he is right, as fewer miners slightly delays the block reward, no? Smiley

So when you can't answer you use an alt to post shit? And this is why you are a troll and not taken seriously by anyone on the forum.

2200  Economy / Speculation / Re: TIME TO BUY on: December 26, 2014, 09:40:57 PM
It's certainly straightforward enough, but it's starting to show some ...drawbacks?
My point is pretty trivial--it's nice to have the ability to adjust the money supply in response to changing conditions.  Clockwork inflation guidance can't do that, and that's why V1s were so wildly inaccurate Sad

Your laboured point is exceedingly trivial.

Last time i checked, bitcoin isn't a rocket, though it's exchange price has risen like one.

In principle having the ability to regulate inflation is an excellent idea. However in the real world we all inhabit it does not work for centrally planned fiat currencies in practice.

Other than comparing bitcoin with an ancient nazi missile, do you have any meaningful objection to bitcoin having a programatically enforced exponentially falling inflation rate?
