2181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 18, 2022, 03:52:29 PM
is that La Liga or Fifa fair play?
to let Barca spent what they do not have, and other clubs cannot spend what they actually have

interesting story with Lewa and Barca dough, not sure that he will be that good at Barca, but he will probably prove me wrong, nevertheless, for me, he is overpaid looking at his age, great deal for Bayern, IMO
I like to see how Barca improved squad during this transfer window, but on the other hand, how they're spending way more money than they earn isn't healthy for club which is already in enormous debt. Ok they're working on how to reduce this debt, like new sponsorship deal with Spotify, they also sold 10% of money that they're going to makefrom La Liga TV rights deal in upcoming 25 years for over 200 million, but it's not enough, especially if they're going to spend so much money for players. There is good article on ESPN about it:
https://www.espn.com/soccer/barcelona-espbarcelona/story/4697467/barcelona-financesexplained-can-the-club-really-sign-players-while-chasing-more-stars-this-summer

2182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Belgian Jupiler league 22/23 - discussion on: July 17, 2022, 10:48:21 AM
Today we have Belgium season opener - Super Cup between Brugge and Gent. So early, in middle of July, but most leagues will start earlier because of World Cup.
Brugge is favorites, odds for their win is attractive @1.95, but such games is difficult to predict because teams aren't in optimal condition yet.
2183  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: July 16, 2022, 11:19:58 PM
So its normal in Ukraine to get detained if you mention Russia, or wear t-shirt like that?
If he would be Russian instead American, would he just "disappear"?
Yeah, it's completely normal to get detained Russian flag and making provocations. It's not first time when you post this shit. As I already said, war didn't started on 24th of February. It started 8 years ago when Russia occupied Crimea and invaded Donbas. So, it's not surprising that someone Russian flag isn't accepted positively.
BTW, he is actually Russian and he didn't just ''disappear'' Smiley
And how about Russia. Now they are so afraid of Ukrainian flag that now they're repainting buildings, fences or benches if it have blue-yellow colour.
2184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Women's Euro 2022 on: July 16, 2022, 11:02:10 PM
Spain won game against Denmark 1:0 and reaches 1/4 final. In general, for Spain draw was enough and it looked like that game will end 0:0. But Spain scored late goal and won game, after all, they played slightly better.
Now we already know one 1/4 final paird, it's England - Spain, it should be fun.
In group C we have situation when all 4 teams still can reach next round. Sweden will face Portugal and Switzerland - Netherlands. If something unexpected won't happen, Sweden and Netherlands should go to 1/ finals.
2185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 16, 2022, 08:57:29 PM
It will be more this season, at least for me. There will be a championship league pool as well and fantasy premier league pool. Not sure what buy ins for those will be but I expect them on the similar level. That means I have to pay 200$ for sure. As I wrote somewhere already, ROI is great with all sponsorships and it is money well spent but you have to pay that amount upfront for whole season and that can be though for some participants.
Do you mean Champions league or there will be EFL Championship pool too? Cheesy
I agree that if you want to play in all pools, you have to spend quite significant money for it. I'm playing in all football pools + F1 pool. But it's not something what I can't afford to spend for whole season fun
2186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Women's Euro 2022 on: July 16, 2022, 03:56:13 PM
Norway loss against Austria yesterday was quite big disappointment, what means that they leave tournament after group stage already. In general, their performance was poor. Destroyed by England 8:0, and loss against Austria. Only their win against N. Ireland, one of weakest teams in tournament.
Today we will have direct fight for place in 1/4 final between Spain and Denmark. Spain is heavy favorites.
2187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 15, 2022, 08:34:43 PM
Hey guys, can't wait for upcoming season. Offcourse that I'm going to play, count me in. I'm going to play in Serie A pool, despite that most likely I'm going to be in the bottom part of table Cheesy. I'm also fine with 1.5 mBTC, I don't think that's too much.
In general I'm happy about Barcelona transfers. Seems that Lewandowski will join Barca too. Few years ago it was difficult to imagine him in Barcelona, I always thought that one day he will move to Real. But there is some things which left mixed feelings. Departure of Dani Alves and story with de Jong doesn't looks good.
2188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying 5/07/22 on: July 14, 2022, 08:54:29 PM
There is some big upsets so far in Conference League qualifiers. Probably main one is club from San Marino Tre Fiori managed to beat Fola from Luxembourg (odds were @6.00). Such things doesn't happen often. St. Josephs from Gibraltar beat Larne @8.50.
Good day for Faore Islands, 2 of their 3 teams reached next round. Maybe Vikingur win against Europa FC isn't surprise, but B36 Torshavn win after penalties against Borac Banja Luka isn't expected.
Flora is biggest chokers today. They had 2:0 lead (3:0 total), but then conceded 2 goals, got red card, conceded another goal and game moved to extra time. In extra time they got another red card and left with 9 players conceded another goal and lost game 4:2 against SJK.
2189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Women's Euro 2022 on: July 14, 2022, 08:43:42 PM
Surprisingly, Italy started losing to Iceland early on in the match. I don't understand how one of the best footballing nations started to play so badly. They should be fighting for first place with France in this group, but they lose to Iceland and are in last place in the group. Of course the game is not over yet, but the results are sad.
Italy in women football isn't such big power like in men football. If I'm not mistaken, their league turned into fully professional just year or two ago. So, this draw with Iceland isn't surprise at all.
So, seems that in last round we will haveItaly and Belgium fighting for 1st place, Iceland chances against France is close to zero.

France probably has no serious rivals in this competition. There is a feeling that they will be European Champions. Although I'm not much interested in women's football, I think France could make a strong showing at the upcoming World Cup. 5 shots in 15 minutes of the first half and one goal scored is a good result.
They are one of favorites, but that's just group stageand they haven't faced any contenders yet. We will see different football when they will face England, Germany or Spain.
2190  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Preev.com - DNS hosting service has expired. on: July 14, 2022, 08:28:42 PM
Even though the site is running again, I wanted to mention an alternative that I saw the other day posted by someone in the Project Development sub-forum.
https://bitcoinpricecalc.com/

It's a decent site and even has a historical reference of prices dating back to 2012. I think it's a good thing to support simple things developed by Bitcointalk members.
That's good one. Marking it into bookmarks, hope it will stay alive for long, because often such projects which are made as alternative for something goes offline just after some months.
Only disadvantage is long domain name, which is basically 3x longer than Preev.
2191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Women's Euro 2022 on: July 13, 2022, 08:55:44 PM
Netherlands - Portugal was best game of EURO so far. Netherlands took early lead by scoring 2 goals in 16 minutes. Portugal managed to make a comeback and made score 2:2. And then Netherlands took a lead again after amazing Danielle van de Donk goal. It was probably most beautiful goal in tournament so far which let Netherlands to win.
Tomorrow Italy - Iceland and France - Belgium.
2192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 13, 2022, 08:49:33 PM
I don’t think there’s any need for another PL pool on the forum. As others have said it dilutes sign ups to both. I dunno, I just think as sportsbet.io has been sponsoring the PL pool for a number of years now, maybe Betnomi should find something else to sponsor & make their name in another sport here.
I agree with you. It's something similar like broadcasting rights of tournament. Someone who comes first or offer most money, they win it.
Though, fantasy pool sounds like a good idea. Probably I wouldn't join it because of lack of time, but I think there would be enough interest for it.
P.S. Missed news about Betnomi pool. Do they plan to run it on Superbru or on their own website?
2193  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Sportsbet.io's Premier League Prediction Sign-up. 0.0025 to join 0.2+ in prizes on: July 13, 2022, 08:29:01 PM
I hope this year we can be 75 players.
Im a little bit optimistic? Maybe, but come on BTCtalkers its the main competition of the whole forum we need to make this possible.

Only look at the 0.2 putting by the sponsor that its amazing.
I'm not sure about it, maybe 75 would be a bit too many. Something  about 50 players is optimal number. With more players chances to win something is getting significantly smaller. And then it's likely that many players simply will give up and stop playing.
2194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying on: July 13, 2022, 08:24:43 PM
Interesting things in qualifiers today. Mighty Klaksvik from Faroe Islands were close from eliminating Bodo/Glimt. They lost 1st leg 3:0, but now managed to win 3:1.
Late drama in Dinamo Batumi - Slovan game. When it looked that game will go to penalties, on 123rd minute Vladimir Weiss scored a goal directly from corner kick. Amazing stuff, but it was big goalkeeper mistake, see video:
https://youtu.be/XbagF8Sn__c

It is very normal that people would lose bets during these qualifiers stage. I mean let's be honest, last year during the semi-finals or the finals, how many people lost money? I mean I believed City would win and wagered on them, and I lost too.
I disagree. In previous years I was making more money betting on such qualifiers than on final rounds of Champions league. In last stages there is top teams playing, where difference of level between them is minimal. In early stages there is many different level teams, also big factor that for some teams it's middle of season, others just start it. And IMO, it's easier to find good value bets there because bookmakers don't always give appropriate odds, when on top level it rarely happens.

Good to see it's finally back, I really missed Preev in all these days
Quote from: snipie link=topic=5405567.msg60561988#msg60561988  :)date=1657735969
Indeed it is finally back, although I had the same error before refreshing the page, and the first thing to see is 1 BTC = 19710 USD.
Probably error that you got was from cached version of website.
2196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying on: July 13, 2022, 03:16:29 PM
Well, so far these qualifiers isn't succesfull for me in betting at all. From all favorites only Ludogorets and Sheriff managed to win. Zalgiris won, but just after extra time. Who could predict that Qarabag will destroy Lech 5:1, especially after Lech scoring first. Vikingur reaching draw with Malmo is also unexpected.
About today's games, I don't really know what to bet on today's games after such bad luck. Maybe Bodo/Glimt ML against Klaksvik @1.69. Ferencvaros - Tobol over 2.5 @1.90 and Shakhtyor - Maribor over 1.5 @1.55
2197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Women's Euro 2022 on: July 12, 2022, 09:10:42 PM
That early Germany goal was big shock. Seems that they weren't ready for such active start. In the ennd of 1st half Germany scored 2nd goal which let to control game.
In 2nd half Spain were more active, Germany gave posession to them, but they weren't able to create many dangerous moments. Loss of Putellas seriously affected Spain.
Sweden - Switzerland and Netherlands - Portugal on Wednesday. Now all 4 teams have 1 point after 1st round, so, it should be interesting.
2198  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Preev.com - DNS hosting service has expired. on: July 12, 2022, 08:13:06 PM
If Preev won't return, it will be big loss. When few days ago I wanted to check Bitcoin price at Preev and saw that their domain expired, I thought - what I should do now? Yeah, there is many places where you can check, but I failed to find something so convenient as Preev. Fast, clean UI not filled with ads, simple and that's all what I needed.
I see some alternatives mentioned, but their domains is long and impossible to remember.
Maybe someone can suggest Bitcoin price desktop widget for Windows?
I see preev is a thing before but how come people still care to use it while there are lots of alternatives?

Honestly speaking i always just go to google then type "btc to usd" and then something pre made converter show in the search page and input things there.
It's question of habbits and preferences. I used preev for 6 years maybe and was satisfied with it. And now it's difficult to change habbits after such long time. You prefer to type BTC to USD in Google, I prefer to enter Preev.com.
2199  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: July 12, 2022, 07:44:20 PM
You should have known better the definition of Nazism in order to throw such unfounded and groundless accusations against me. Perhaps I do not have enough emotional involvement in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, due to the great geographical distance from the place of the main development of events. Perhaps in my personal hierarchy of life values, the ideals of humanism and pacifism are not in the most honorable place. But I did not claim that Russians are better than Ukrainians, or Americans, or Germans, or representatives of any other nationalities, if only because I do not like false generalizations. Think about it at your leisure before you sit in a puddle next time.
Things that Russia is doing in Ukraine isn't much different from nazism. For example, filtration camps for Ukrainians from occupied territories. It doesn't remind anything?
When someone else from Ukraine or West would use same rhetoric as you did in previous post, wouldn't you call him nazi? Didn't you talked about "genocide of Russian speaking population in Donbas"? But now when you said that it doesn't matter how many people will have to killed and how many buildings will have to be destroyed, then everything is ok?
2200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying on: July 12, 2022, 04:10:09 PM
My bets for today's qualifier. I take Zalgiris ML against Balkani @2.00. Qarabaq - Lech, under 2.5 @1.65. Sheriff ML against Zrinjski @1.67. Shamrock Rovers win against @1.70 Hiberrnians and and Malmo win against Vikingur @1.60. Today I'm going with relatively safe options
