Damn, Real wins again in Belgrade and makes it 2:2. I remind that no team in Euroleague history haven't managed to make an comeback after they were down 0:2. It was another very close game, but Real were better in decisive moments. Though, at one moment when Partizan stolen 2 balls and scored 4 points in few seconds it looked that they still can break this game. Series returns to Madrid and Punter already will be available for Partizan, while it seems that Real's Deck got serious injury.
Maccabi simply destroyed Monaco 104:69. They decided game by making 20:0 run in 2nd half and never looked back. Most of us expected 5 games series, but for me it was difficult to imagine scenario like in this game. So, now Game 5 in Monaco and I'm not going to predict anything

Fenerbahche - Olympiacos, I have no words about this game, it was simply epic. What happened in the end makes it into one of the best playoff games in Euroleague history. When Walkup lost ball in last seconds in such stupid way and Guduric scored 3 points it looked that Fener have everything in their hands. BTW, it seems that we will have another Spanish team in Euroleague next season. Gran Canaria is leading Turk Telekom by 20 points in Eurocup final. Probably most of Euroleague teams isn't happy about it because travelling to Las Palmas is long and difficult, they're so far away from continental Europe. |

Damn, another crazy night of Euroleague playoffs. And it's so sad that they make both games almost on the same time.
I think I never saw such atmosphere in Euroleague game like in Stark arena. And respect to Partizan fans for not doing something stupid what could hurt their own team. About game, Partizan gave it all, but it wasn't enough with short roster. That Williams - Goss 3 pointer killed Partizan. Ball in LeDay hands in decisive moments didn't looked like best idea, but they didn't had many options to choose. In game 4 Lessort and Deck will return to their teams.
Monaco made big surprise by winning in Tel Aviv and now they're 1 win away from Final 4. They weren't welcomed very warm, Monaco bus was even stopped by Maccabi fans. But Monaco were leading almost whole game and they made arena silent.

Interesting post, I'm not very surprised to read such things about Seebian league. It's reality of many leagues in Balkans and Eastern Europe that there is lot of dirty things done behind the curtains. My impression about Serbian league from aside - in general there is just 2 games in whole season that really matters - it's Zvezda - Partizan and rest of league probably isn't very interesting even for locals. Zvezda have decent results in UEFA cups, Partizan also playing in group stages on regular basis, but rest of teams getting eliminated in early rounds of qualification. It says something about level of league. I saw a bit of last CZ - Partizan and it was played in completely empty stadium, not the best image for such derby. |

Porto had very difficult game against Boa Vista, but they achieved 1:0 win. They failed to make any shots on target for almost 60 minutes, until penalty was awarded. Taremi goal from 11 m mark was only Porto shot on target in whole game, in remaining 30 minutes they didn't createdd nothing dangerous. Not enough, Marcano got straight red card few minutes after Porto goal. It can be justified, otherwise Boa Vista player would went 1 on 1 with goalkeeper.
Sporting win against Famalicao wasn't easy too. They didn't dominated that much, but had 2:0 lead when Coates scored own goal - it was such bad luck for him.
It wasn't easy round for favorites. With 4 rounds remaining, fight for 1st place is still alive, same like for 2nd place, while Sporting need miracle to reach Braga in 3rd place.

Perez achieved 5 of 6 wins in city circuits - it can't be coincidence. This time het lucky that timing for Verstappen pit stop wasn't good and safety car was released after it. But c'mon, luck can't always be on Verstappens's side. FIA screwed up again by releasing photographers to pit lane, while Ocon was still yet to pit. Ok, this time nothing bad didn't happened, except that some people will have to change their underpants, but next time such accident may have really fatalic outcome. The question now should be:
can Perez fight for the title against Max until the end of the season?
I don't think the other team can gain 1 second per lap in races to compete with them.

The final is currently underway between PSV and Ajax. Bookmakers estimate both teams to be roughly equal. I think that's about right, both teams are very volatile, but PSV has turned out to be a bit more stable lately and Ajax has completely collapsed, especially after the winter break. Heintinga is not a top trainer, but came in at a time when it really couldn't get any worse.
It's probably not very surprising that final come to extra times and penalties. In general, I think that PSV were a bit better, they had more dangerous moments, but overall, I'm happy that game had such dramatic outcome. I think we can say that this final concludes this terrible season for Ajax. They haven't won Eredivisie, their season in Europe was terrible and now they failed to win cup. It wouldn't be right to blame Heitinga for these results, he came late, but I doubt that Ajax will keep him for the next season. |

I watched a bit of Gil Vicente - Benfica game and it was really dull. xG stats is impressive - 0.07 for Gil Vicente and just 0.13 for Benfica. I think I haven't see anything similar from Benfica this season. It worked in favour of Gil Vicente, they wrre close to achieve positive result, but Benfica still managed to score 2 goals in last 20 minutes. Very important win for Benfica, but they still have 2 very difficult games remaining.
Earlier today Braga won easy against Portimonense. It's important win for them in fight for 3rd ppace, but actually they still have chance to finish 2nd and get spot in CL group stage.

Not bad sprint race. Honestly, didn't expected that Perez will win it. Leclerc was doing everything that he can, but it was only matter of time until he will lose 1st position. That accident with Verstappen and Russell - I can understand that Max is angry, but for me it's difficult to blame Russell. It's racing accident that happens often when there is little space, cold tyres and it's difficult to avoid it.
And that moment with Tsunoda - i reallly can't understand how they released him to track after pit stop with broken suspension.

Today Barca scored more goals than in 5 recent games. 4:0 against Betis. Finally watching Barcelona game gave me positive emotions after several terrible performances. But it was so strange to see Betis playing so poor. It was nice to see how Camp Nou welcomed Betis legend Joaquin, but he got injury and I hope it wasn't his last game in career. Lamine Yamal become youngest ever player ever to play for Barca at 15 years of age. And what a debut it was - he was very close to score a goal and also made perfect pass to Dembele, but he failed to score too.
