221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never give up on: April 28, 2020, 08:35:46 PM
As a bounty hunter always expect failures sometimes

1. Just because a golden year occurred in the past doesn't mean we will witness such again, yes it's possible but better adapt to present condition.

2. Promoting two to three projects and waiting for your payment doesn't make sense, as a bounty Hunter the sky should be your limit, since we can't tell which project will pay or not I suggest continues hunting.

3. Listed bounties may not pay, it's still same risks as bounty projects that aren't listed on exchange yet, rewards may vary but who am I to tell? I'm not a great seer am I?

4. Scammers takes advantage of Cov-19 alot and many still fall victim upon all the warnings, now we only have few days left till next Bitcoin halving, few new scam projects will surface, keep your eyes sharply opened

Very nice choice of words but I think its better to promote a project already listed on exchanges than promoting a project not listed. I understand that's not the yardstick for judging which pays at the end but atleast it helps to limit risk. Before promoting any project, I thoroughly check some key points especially the team. If the team is reliable, then its a 50% score for me because even if the project has a great MVP for instance to showcase, but the team's credibility is questionable, its a no no for me. I dont normally give up when sourcing and promoting projects i think are worth it, but we are humans, at a point we get fed up. Let grace shine us our hustle, that's just it.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEOs from binance not worth holding ? on: April 27, 2020, 09:35:33 PM
Since many are saying that IEO is the best initial offering in crypto space today, most especially if they are from top exchange then I started looking for IEO from top exchange, I followed Cartesi which was successful on binance and price was at 0.08$ and today it's down to 0.045$, it looks like this drop will continue because Bitcoin keeps growing since two days ago now but this coin keeps going down, what is going on? Is binance IEO just for short time gains only? Are IEO tokens from binance not worth holding ?

Some IEOs on Binance are worth holding but this depends on your entry. Always wait for a dump before buying coins if you plan to hold long term, that's my strategy. The issue is not about binance IEOs but people who FOMO to buy in when price is extremely pumped. People who succeed to get in the IEO always make profit. Even though for some the profit reduces, if they get greedy and don't take profit when necessary. I normally wait for a good entry if I miss out on the IEO and it favors me, gone are the days when i rush in to buy any IEO coin listed on Binance immediately. CTSI mentioned here gave huge profit to many and REKT some who bought very high after the pump.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto success takes time on: April 27, 2020, 05:55:10 PM
People don't want to give projects some time to grow, they forget that coins like dash, litecoin, Xmr, Bitcoin etc have a rough start, I'm just saying crypto investment takes years, just because a project drop in value doesn't mean they won't grow better in future.

Projects don't just turn huge in a year, there will be lots of volatility and price loss, for long term hold be prepared, if you can't then go for top coins

I do not fully agree with this because you might get lucky and make quick profit on some coins you invest in a short time. Well, your point is not bad since Patience is required when holding good coins especially when they still have small market caps. However, not all coins are good to hold. It's funny how people consider some coins "cheap" and invest hugely in them without doing thorough background research especially on team, product and community strength. You might think some coins are cheap and good to hold long term whereas the team has scam intentions or the total supply is extremely large hence coin is overpriced ironically. It's better to hold well established coins long term to reduce risk, but to maximize profit, i throw some dollars to low cap coins I conaider to be gems and hold for long term, but dump when the development progress is stagnant.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Project use case is important for long term investment on: April 26, 2020, 07:36:35 PM
Because a project without use case, it's just crypto currency. Without demand for the token, it may never reach its true value.

I totally agree with you but its not only about use case. A project can have great use cases but very poor strategies, for instance a project has a product that checkmates goods for counterfeit, yet they find it so difficult to convince firms to adopt their counterfeit verification app. Most projects with cool use cases which are successful today is because the team enacted cool strategies ; a good example is origin protocol creating impact already in e-commerce sector. Funny enough some projects without use cases still raise hype around their project just by using influencers or building a strong community. Some will have many applications on Whitepaper and many milestones on roadmap but will never achieve anything tangible. This is the more reason why we need to be careful when choosing the projects we invest in.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Stay away from Vindax on: April 26, 2020, 06:14:29 PM
Its funny how people still make use of shitty exchanges with low reputation and volume likewise. I learnt my lessons with one scam exchange wayback called HIBTC which is a copycat of HitBTC (spot the difference, HitBTC has a "T" after i). Using such exchanges will only put all your funds in high risk of loss. It pains me badly when after making withdrawal from an exchange, i will have to wait for several hours or even days before receiving my coins. Sometimes when you have a fat portfolio, the admins freeze your account which is common nowadays. We just need to be careful with all these mushroom exchanges here and there.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you trust, BNB or ETH? on: April 25, 2020, 09:01:17 PM

Please share your opinion too on why you choose a certain coin.
I'm holding both ETH and BNB for long term but in terms of trust rating, ETH is my best pick and that is why it takes 20% of my entire portfolio. I think comparing BNB to ETH shouldn't even sprout in the first place, ETH being the lord of altcoins deserve more. I understand there has been so many developments lately with BNB compared to ETH and maybe that's the reason for this comparison,  I also hope Ethereum team roll out more development for ETH especially with respect to DEFI. I'm also looking forward to see what happens when ETH's algorithm finally switch to POS.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good capital managemt is important on: April 25, 2020, 03:05:38 PM

2. Learn and strategize how to manage your capital
3. Make research on choosing good exchange that will favour your trading.
4. Learn to take profit at intervals

Please add your suggestion for everyone to learn from it. Thank.you

Number 3 is the most important in my opinion, do not just trade on any exchange, trade only on exchanges with very high reputation and security since even after making profit, you might lose your entire funds on exchanges with low reputation/security. Again, go for exchanges with high trading volumes. Any trader who doesn't  use stop loss is making a grest mistake, even the coins we consider top notch might have a strong FUD unexpectedly like what happened to ENG months back and led to massive drop in price. Also, do not use same figure for both upper and lower limits of your SL, use a range so that you will be sure it picks. Lastly, remove greed, take profit when its necessary, some people still make the mistake of waiting for 100% to 1000% when in profit, a good trader checks the chart and know when to leave the trade.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much does the community trust crypto banks on: April 24, 2020, 06:28:46 PM
How much does the community trust crypto banks?
What exactly do you refer to when you mentioned "cryptobank", something like LUNO or what? Or you mean some sort of online bank to save crypto and get profit/lend? Well, how does it pose a challenge to exchanges, there is no correlation in my opinion. Does the so-called cryptobanks serve the same purpose as exchanges? Whats even the need for saving crypto in a crypto bank, when one of the core features of crypto (decentralization) will be defeated. You may need to explain further, your point is not clear enough.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The success of IEO is Exchange on: April 24, 2020, 03:19:28 PM
The success of ICO lies in the hand of huge partnership support, huge investors and trust but since scammers canes around ICO trust was ruined but now what we have left is IEO, and I will keep repeating myself over and over for new projects that the success of an IEO is top exchanges, no matter how good your use case is, if you choose p2pb2b or vindax over Okex or binance just have it at the back of your mind that failure awaits you with 80% chance over 100%

I totally agree with this, the success of an IEO depends on the exchange chosen but not entirely. In as much as doing IEO of big exchanges like Binance, OKEX, HUOBI, KUCOIN etc will give very high chances of being successful (selling out), people also consider the team behind the project and what they have to offer. Personally i dont participate in IEOs done on petty exchanges with low reputation because most likely they end up not being successful or they lie about the outcome just to lure in people when trading commences after listing.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cartesi is now listed in Binance on: April 23, 2020, 09:38:05 PM
I acfually traded CTSI against USDT pair on binance. I got in when it listed at 0.059$ and took profit at 0.0739$. Ive been following that project on twitter and the development so far is impressive. Its encouraging to see such crypto projects doing so much to be useful in real life, not just putting long notes on Whitepaper with zero development. Binance listing actually boosted the price massively, and i dont think now is the  best time to accumulate bulk for long term since there might be a retrace.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Ethereum Wallets on: April 23, 2020, 08:30:26 PM
I use ledger nano s for hardware wallet and its been serving well. For mobile wallet, i use blockchain wallet, trust wallet and imtoken most often and sparignly use others when need be. I noticed trust wallet is faster with transactions utilzing minimal fees too comparatively. I've tried atomic wallet but i prefer trust wallet and imtoken since their DAPPS section is cool added to their multi wallet function.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep your loss at an acceptable level on: April 22, 2020, 09:14:03 PM
I have not seen a trader that do not lose sometimes, i may be new to the forum but been learning before now. it has nothing to do with sentiments but traders have to learn to accept trades the way it is, without attributing loss to any factors; as it leads to more rekts.

Always accept the market as it is without blaming any factors.
Always dyor too

Being a trader for a long time, I noticed that stop limit is extremely essential in every trade. Whether trading on spot or leverage, you need to set SL to reduce risk of massive dump or liquidation as the case may be. However, I don't fancy setting very tight SL as they always hit. Maximum loss I can take is 7%, I can't exceed that. Also I notice that sometimes stop limit do not pick, hence its wise to set an upper and lower limit thus increasing the chances of stopping you out. Risk management is very important for traders, without proper risk management you are a bad trader.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making Cov-19 as excuses on: April 22, 2020, 06:41:13 PM
Do not be fooled, Cov-19 doesn't disturb new project from launching, few new projects are using Cov-19 to make excuse, good quality projects don't see any reason to hold because of the pandemic, any project that do this should be considered as Controlled by weak team

I do not totally agree with this, well there is still some sense here. Many projects will want to launch when people's minds are not perturbed, right now COVID19 is causing economic crisis, hence will reduce target investors probably, unless maybe their IEO is done on top exchanges like Binance. Do you think if projects for instance have a product to showcase, they will get enough funding for such product in this Corona Era? The answer is no, times are hard. Talking about team working from home, yes crypto projects do not necessarily need team members working in an office, but if there is need maybe running a mining facility, how then do they work from home? This is just my point of view.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A COVID-19 Blockchan app without compromise on: April 21, 2020, 06:31:17 PM
As governments are gearing up to have COVID-19 apps ready for contact tracing and diagnose attestations we, the public, are afraid these apps will end up compromising our privacy.

Privacy
In the blockchain communities I'm active this is a very hot topic. We should not just sit still and wait for the usual suspects to force intrusive apps on us. What we can do is carefully craft the alternatives which are designed for privacy and self sovereignty.

Open Source

The international team of The Verus project resides partly in The Netherlands and decided to extend the blockchain driven self sovereign digital ID VerusID with COVID-19 specific functions. To be clear, the whole Verus project is 100% open source.

Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport
As I became enthusiastic about this effort I helped the project to apply to the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport for the what they call "market consultation".

So good news! There is at least one 100% open source app in their market consultation.

Read more at:
https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/covid-19-app-without-compromise-bart-van-maarseveen

I read through the LinkedIn article to see how essential is the verus app to curb COVID19 spread (since that's what the world actually needs right now), but I couldn't fatom it out. By the way, I will like to know how decentralization comes in here for data acquisition as postulated? Maybe I'm yet to pick the vital features of the app but I think a lot more need to be done for it to be of high relevance to combat COVID19. More research should be done on vaccines and also if the app can be linked to research labs, that way  application will be more feasible.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market Manipulation Or Not? on: April 21, 2020, 02:17:41 PM
Recently I saw tokens generated from the bounty project 4 months ago and it was very unexpected that the price of the OKS $ 0.0239 token increased very sharply and volume in 24 hours (+ 718.94%).

Is this real? or just manipulation of prices in the market?

Firstly, if the volume increased drastically as well, then it's most likely real and not from bot manipulation. However, if the daily trading volume didn't correlate with the massive pump, then it's likely wash trading. I got lucky with a token CUR on same probit, which pumped about 300%, then followed by massive dump. I observed a lot of pump and dump actions on that exchange, but this doesn't mean the exchange is entirely bad. I pity those who will buy the top of such pump, because a dump must follow. Some days back, a friend bought SOL after it did 500% on Binance, thinking it will continue that way without setting SL, unfortunately it dipped badly after the pump. My advise is, if you don't enter a trade before a massive pump, just stay away from it, wait for a good entry and don't FOMO in.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap or Coingecko? on: April 20, 2020, 06:03:01 PM
For example, I heard lot that P2PB2B is one of the bullshit exchanges because it has fake volume, but why on coinmarketcap can in the top 3?
Whereas on Coingecko P2PB2B is ranked 114, Does coingecko know if it's bullshit exchange? so it's not in the top 3 like in coin marketcap

So which one do you trust more?

In as much as both CMC and Coingecko has their cons, I do think the pros of coinmarketcap are better off comparatively. You can check liquidity of exchanges and coins/tokens on CMC and also CMC has more strict criteria to list exchanges & coins, unlike coingecko which is extremely easy to list. Fake volumes has been a problem for both CMC and coingecko, and much effort should be put by their developers to easily checkmate exchanges with fake volumes.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Chain or Binance DEX hype is gone! on: April 20, 2020, 03:34:57 PM
Well well well! The problem is with IEO hype. The hype has died down with shitty and scam projects taking over the space. ICOs went the same way few IEOs gets launched now.

OP was actually referring to the hype around Binance chain last year, any project which moves to binance chain immediately gets hyped and spikes up massively in price. I benefitted from this actually, even though it was short lived. I remember when many were in the opinion that Binance chain will be better than Ethereum blockchain, all of these were mere assumptions. OP wasn't necessarily referring to IEOs done on Binance exchange, since they still get hyped with remarkable price spikes like WRX, even though some dump badly after the hype dies down.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinion on stable coins? on: April 19, 2020, 08:41:24 PM

Hello Crypto friends!

Recently i have known about tether and also facebook libra.

Is those worth investments or waste investments.......?

Because if facebook libra is stable coin then it is wrong investment choice because many crypto investors look for profit coins i mean unlike stable coins they will like coins which get profits.

In my opinion stable coins are bad to invest.

But facebook will change their decision regarding the libra stable coin or the libra coin will also like another tether.

Thanks!

In the first place, when talking about investments you were not supposed to even think about stable coins, unless you want to use them for lending purpose like the one done on Binance exchange with BUSD. Talking about LIBRA, if and only if it will launch, only institutional investors will be allowed to invest before launch, after launch the purpose won't be for investment anymore but utilization for transactions. Buying USDT or any other stable coin to hold as investment doesn't make any sense ofcourse, I actually laughed when OP asked if stable coins are worth investing in. 😂
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum be taking 1st place in 2020? on: April 19, 2020, 03:44:42 PM
In as much as I'm not so good with price speculations, I do think ETH is on an uptrend to $200 and even more. However, the question on the topic by OP is far fetched, BTC can never be replaced by any altcoin, be it ETH or any other. There has not been many impressive developments with ETH lately but hopefully soon major developments will roll out, beginning with POS algorithm switch. ETH still takes 20% of my portfolio, I bought a bulk at 130$.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What matters to grow the price of an Altcoin on: April 18, 2020, 09:40:01 PM
We all know cryptocurrency. We Buying and selling different types of altcoins in different exchanges. Many of altcoins have the same features, total supply, blockchain, even number of decimals, But in their prices, there is a huge difference. So, there is one question that appears at this point that "What matters to grow the price of an Altcoin ?". Is it makes a high price by listing on many different exchanges or the team works behind that altcoin/project? Or something else. This is a big question which all of us want to know.

First of all, it takes a genuine hardworking team to keep fostering the price of their coin long term and also to build a decent project which will attract crypto enthusiasts. Listing on good exchanges plays a vital role in price action, you can't expect a coin listed on Binance, OKEX and HUOBI to perform better if listed on smaller exchanges with low reputation and trading volume. Also, marketing is another aspect, how well do they give relevant updates, publish articles to target investors or showcase their product to draw interest. Many altcoin projects fail in this regard, and some fail due to team greed. Most importantly, product development is vital for price action, nowadays investors do not necessarily listen to influencers, they want to see working products. Building a strong community too will help reduce people dumping massively when there is little FUD.
