Seems he won it back and the site lost 150 btc more. He is still betting, lets see how this ends.

After putting the profit into the -400 zone, he busted again and lose 100 more BTC... Gamblers never learn

What if the core devs shorten the OP_RETURN again?

Eligius has set the OP_RETURN limit to 80. Not sure about the other mines.

Besides, I remember that the devs said that even with 40 bytes OP_RETURN (possible for a simple Counterparty asset send, for instance) the transaction takes too much time to be confirmed.

I guess that consensus takes time to achieve. Medici could help them change their mind.

SWARM just crashed from 5800 to 400

? ? ?

Probably because after raising 1M$ and trying to dupe investors with lies about their previous promises, they've only released an overpriced comic and nothing more (except nicely crafted PR material)

Glad I got out of this mess in time !

  • Standard transactions:
    • OP_RETURN: allow up to 80 bytes
Hello Luke-Jr

pardon my ignorance & my french

Does that mean that Eligius will allow counterparty-XCP transactions  (if encoded in OP_RETURN) or do you still plan to filter them out (I think you are treating them like spam because they're still multisig transactions) ?

Everybody, there is an enormous amount of misinformation going around in the press. We're working to fix that ASAP. In the meantime, please help us correct errors as you see them!

For the record:

1) Overstock.com and Counterparty are partnering to build a platform (Medici) for trading stocks on Counterparty and using Counterparty's decentralized exchange.

2) I, along with Ouziel (JahPowerBit), will continue working on the Counterparty protocol full-time. Robby and Evan will continue to work on Counterparty full-time because Medici is a front-end for Counterparty.

The Wired and Coindesk articles make it sound as though we are abandoning this project. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Thank you,
Adam

Thank you Adam ! These words coming from you will be helpful to fight the Trolls & FUDers

234  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 4 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX on: October 04, 2014, 10:21:46 AM
Looks like they cut the hosting fee for scryptX as well.  It went from almost 5 btc last week to 3.6 this week, and the exchange rate sure didn't recover.

Looks like they "forgot" to distribute the DOGE mined 2 weeks ago...
unfortunately without stats we have no visibility on what is being mined and anything else.
Also no news on how to invest the >100btc of the fund.

(just out of curiosity: how do you know about the forgotten doge?)

They had announced that they would start merge mining doge and ltc with the Sept 12th update, but on Sept 19th, the calculation only showed ltc converted to btc.  On the 26th it showed the number of doge mined as well, but perhaps was just catching up for the previous 2 weeks, but today, since the number was roughly the same, it showed that it was in fact not lumped in the 26th news and indeed, has not been paid out.

Exactly, just logic.

Even if it only represents 0,25 BTC

238  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (1GH/S per Unit) on: October 01, 2014, 10:03:07 AM
Quote
Dear unit holders,

Difficulty has increased a little more than we originally anticipated. Our IPO prospectus foresaw a difficulty of less than 2B by this time. In reality it is a little higher, at 17 times our projection. As a result, we have fallen a bit short of our initial 1BTC per share dividend goal for October. But if bitcoin exchange rate increases by a few orders of magnitude and difficulty declines dramatically over he next decade or two, our initial goal is still within reach.

To maintain the possibility of achieving this goal, PETA mine will continue running for as long as mining revenue exceeds our very low undisclosed hosting costs. But whenever the revenue falls below our publicly announced $0.15/GH/month, as happened yesterday and will happen more and more frequently in the future,  PETA will generously  lend unit holders the difference so that no negative dividends have to be collected. Actual dividends will only resume once this accumulated debt is repaid, which will be increasing unlikely to happen ever.

Looking further ahead, once mining revenue drops below our undisclosed hosting costs, we will auction off the hardware, and will deduct this sum from the outstanding loan, thereby reducing the debt unit holders owe to Peta.

PETA mine has come a long way, and together with Havelock, has been a leader in driving down prices per GH, from ~0.007 BTC per GH at IPO to 0.0003 0.00025 ฿0.00020 BTC today, an impressive 2300 2700 3000% decline in just a few months. We are proud of this achievement and look forward to continuing on this path and set new records along the way.

240  Economy / Gambling / Re: PRCDice.eu + REFERRAL BONUS + provably fair + Leaderboards +INVEST + PLAY + CHAT on: September 29, 2014, 07:54:37 PM

There's been just over 1k wagered since the new system came into place.

Road2Wealth just lost 150BTC while only wagering 5-600. Under the old system PRC (not me) would take 15BTC in commission with investors getting 135BTC.

Under the new system PRC took 0.5-0.6BTC while investors got 149.5BTC.

Well I don't know about that. drema's stats show that 5K BTC has been wagered on 29th, since the new commission system started. Since you got less commission on his loss , maybe its Karma. But nevermind you got the seeds Wink
Anyways, my post was not about Road or his loss. My question was regarding what I posted in the last post written again below.

I am not sure how the change was implemented. Did Dean change the system after voting or by simply informing the investors?
Because as an investor, I would have definitely been against the change. Because, right now I would be paying Dean 0.1% irrespective of a win or a loss for the gambler. Meaning, if the site was in a loss or below the expected, then I am actually losing more , than what I would have if I just paid commission on profits for me.
So even though Dean claims its equivalent, it is only in the case if the site comes close to profits of 1% of wagered. Otherwise, its rather a loss to the investors. But it seems investors don't understand this.

If you're not happy you can divest
