Ken, your silence regarding my refund is forcing me to take the legal path now.
You will hear about my lawyer soon (or maybe you already have).

Mate, you and everyone else you writes a post which is directed at Ken should be using the private message feature and contact him directly.  He will respond to you that way.  Otherwise you should assume that it will not be answered and we will assume that your motives are unclear.

Mate, my motives are this:

- Trying to get refunded (Ken hasn't been answering my requests for about a month now, also tried PM and emailing him)
- Maybe the shareholders are also interested in knowing how Ken is (still) treating the VMC customers

Cheers

So I guess you're just ignoring me Ken  Huh

Ken,

please tell me about the status of my refund cheque!

Ken has wrote a total of 15 checks since Feb. One a week. ( this is going of 2 check number differences in that time) you need to try harder or take him to court. There's a VMC class Acton link on my unofficial thread

Edit. I got my refund check 5 months after asking for it. Worst customer service ever.
Ken refund him already!

Thanks for your support Magzy!  Smiley

i read alot about those frankenjups being built from used parts. is there any proof for that? i mean was there dust in the coolers or something like that?

ImI, a lot of people said there was thermal paste smeared on the chips and it looked like someone tried to clean it off.
"thermal paste is" NO PROOF AT ALL  (They need to test them, right?)
Proof is when the unit reports back as "Saturn"!
Some in the forum had that happen.

I had some boards with dust sitting on them as well

Something doesn't quite add up here:

All,

So last week we really messed up. We sent out products to our customers which arrived broken, damaged and quite frankly unusable.

So in order to fix this the best way we can. We are not asking for these products back from anyone who has received them already. We will simply assume that every card was damaged in shipment even if it arrived undamaged. We will send out to every customer who had a 3TH Jupiter or several already arrive, enough cards to replace their entire collection,

There is no way our customers should have to suffer because of our mistake in not properly securing the components during shipment

and:

Hi,

Apologies for the delay in reply. We understand your concern and frustration with the issues regarding the damaged and non functioning boards. Please provide us with information on how many boards you have which are dead or not fully functional and we will issue the RMA for the boards to be sent back to us for replacement.

If possible please run the following diagnostic file and provide us with the results. We will then be able to see the exact issues and provide you with further assistance or the RMA for the board to be replaced.

https://www.kncminer.com/userfiles/file/diag-1.2-E.bin

To run this file simply download it to your computer and apply it the same way as a firmware update. The results will be printed to the screen once the test has completed.

Thanks in advance and apologies for the inconvenience caused.

So on wednesday I received my "Super" Jupiter using their improved packaging method

Are these REPLACEMENT asic boards or is this a complete Jupiter 3TH shipment that you've dismantled?

Complete Jupiter 3TH.

The shipment using the first packaging method was never sent out to me or was called back while in transit, so I never received that one.

The only shipment I received is the one where they used the DIY packaging method, but unfortunately with similar results.

Funny thing is they are not offering to send the same 18 replacement boards as they did to any other customer who received broken hardware.
I'd have to RMA the boards instead...

Also quite surprised to see the hardware had already been used (in their data center)!?

Just before the weekend I got this answer from Keith:

Hi,

Apologies for the delay in reply. Sorry to hear about the issues you have with the miner and the damage sustained. Please could you test all boards and let us know exactly how many boards are not fully working or functional at all and we will then be able to issue an RMA for the damaged/faulty boards to be sent back to us for replacements.

We hope to have this issue resolved for you as quickly as possible.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

My Jupiter hasn't been shipped this week.

Anyone else who hasn't received theirs yet?

I never received shipping notice from knc. If I didn't have UPS My Choice i wouldn't have known it was sent.

Ok tnx.
