LOL, +1 Umso inhaltsleerer eine Aussage, umso unantastbarer, ist ungefähr so wie mit Merkels Politik. wenn du jetzt für 0,15 ,Goxcoins kaufst und der Kurs dann auf 2,15 hoch geht, dann hast du deinen Einsatz mit 21,5 multipliziert.Also massig Gewinn  Wieso sollte jemand für Gox-Coins mehr bezahlen als für normale Bitcoins? |

Ehrlich gesagt find ich das nicht so toll, wenn die das wie beim Gold machen wollen - insofern ich das richtig verstanden hab - d.h. zu Beginn des Handelstag wird der Preis fuer BTCs festgesetzt. Ich unterstelle jetzt einfach mal, dass das Tuer und Tor oeffnet fuer Preismanipulationen der Bigplayers. Und das werden frueher oder spaeter Grossbanken sein. Eigentlich finde ich ein sich selbstregulierendes System wie aktuell ideal. “We’re going to attempt to slow things down a bit and create a true indication of bitcon value, once or twice a day, and each of the members though they can trade all day long, or they can tie price to the spot price,” Wenn ich das richtig sehe ist das der Weg in die totale Regulation und Preismanipulation der Big Player, Preisbildung in einem freien Markt ist ein demokratischer Prozess der hiermit aufgehoben wird, auch wenn hier genauso Kursmanipulationen stattfinden, doch auf eine wesentlich diversifiziertere Weise. Andererseits wird Bitcoin durch die Regulierung der Volatilität als Zahlungsmittel für den Mainstream interessanter, da der Kurs stabiler ist. Die Spekulation wird eingeschränkt, bzw. monopolisiert. Nebenbei will ich mal bemerken, dass die GOX API noch antwortet. Die Trading Engine ist also noch aktiv!

So here's what has happened for those who can't keep up. I doubt any of this is a pure coincidence given the time frame. 1.) MtGox allegedly lose 750,000 Bitcoins, according to a leaked document in the hands of TwoBitIdiot, a known person within the Bitcoin community. 2.) He then decides to leak the document to the public 1 - 2 hours later confirming this number, and within the document it says they are to rebrand as http://gox.com and lie their way out of this mess. 3.) After the document is leaked, MtGox halts trades immediately (Around 5 minutes after) 4.) At this point, http://gox.com is still a parked domain, and not long after starts to redirect to http://mtgox.com (EDIT: More information on the domain situation from chris45215, which basically confirms that MtGox were indeed planning to relaunch as Gox.com as explained in the leaked document) 5.) After around 30 minutes, Coinbase, Blockchain, Circle and Kraken simultaneously release identical articles titled "Joint Statement Regarding the Insolvency of Mt.Gox" (EDIT: Since then, some of the articles have removed the word "insolvency", but not all of them.) 6.) A further 5 minutes later, http://mtgox.com is taken completely offline. 7.) And now we are here, with not a single word from MtGox. The Bitcoin foundation has emailed a statement about the situation, saying it appears Gox may be insolvent:
“We are shocked to learn about Mt. Gox’s alleged insolvency. While we are unable to comment on whether or not Mt. The purpose of this document is to summarize a joint statement to the Bitcoin community regarding the insolvency of Mt.Gox.
This tragic violation of the trust of users of Mt.Gox was the result of one company’s abhorrent actions and does not reflect the resilience or value of bitcoin and the digital currency industry. There are hundreds of trustworthy and responsible companies involved in bitcoin. These companies will continue to build the future of money by making bitcoin more secure and easy to use for consumers and merchants. As with any new industry, there are certain bad actors that need to be weeded out, and that is what we are seeing today.
We are confident, however, that strong Bitcoin companies, led by highly competent teams and backed by credible investors, will continue to thrive, and to fulfill the promise that bitcoin offers as the future of payment in the Internet age.
In order to re-establish the trust squandered by the failings of Mt. Gox, responsible bitcoin exchanges are working together and are committed to the future of bitcoin and the security of all customer funds. As part of the effort to re-assure customers, the following exchanges will be coordinating efforts over the coming days to publicly reassure customers and the general public that all funds continue to be held in a safe and secure manner: Coinbase, Kraken, BitStamp, Circle, and BTC China.
We strongly believe in transparent, thoughtful, and comprehensive consumer protection measures. We pledge to lead the way.
Bitcoin operators, whether they be exchanges, wallet services or payment providers, play a critical custodial role over the bitcoin they hold as assets for their customers. Acting as a custodian should require a high-bar, including appropriate security safeguards that are independently audited and tested on a regular basis, adequate balance sheets and reserves as commercial entities, transparent and accountable customer disclosures, and clear policies to not use customer assets for proprietary trading or for margin loans in leveraged trading. It does not appear to any of us that MtGox followed any these essential requirements as a financial services provider.

Ist ungefähr so als würde die Kassiererin auf Anfrage das Wechselgeld doppelt rausgeben, ohne das jemals eine Kassenabrechnung stattfindet, beides ist im normalen Handel undenkbar. Aber die Schuld liegt hier wohl auf beiden seiten, das ein bekannter Fehler so lange nicht gefixed wurde ist selbst für eine Software im Betastatus grob fahrlässig. Bei Apple, Windows oder Android Phones ist weniger das Gerät die Ware sondern viel mehr der Benutzer.
Fraglich ob das bei Firefox soviel anders ist.

Abgesehen davon das Köpfe die so großen Mist bauen an der Spitze schwer haltbar sind, schieben sich Gox und Foundation nach wie vor gegenseitig die Schuld in die Schuhe. The issues with MtGox had sparked a dispute between the exchange and the Bitcoin Foundation. Nachdem der transaction malleablity exploit aber schon ewig bekannt ist, liegt die Verantwortung imho primär bei Gox. |

Ziemlich crass, Frage ist jetzt ob das gute oder schlechte Nachrichten sind. Der Gox Kurs hat sich ja seit gestern wieder halbiert. Wie schätzt ihr die Lage bzgl. Gox nach derzeitigem Kenntnisstand ein? |
