Just swagging  Cheesy

Are you guys aware of the current fibonacci retracemnet level? We did a precision landing at the golden retracement level Shocked Grin
I think on this basis our way should be up to ~90% from the recent ATH somewhere near the 0,0238 or a decline to the 23,6% level somewhere near the 0,0075 levels  Kiss
At the time speaking, it looks more like a decline from that perspective. What do you guys think  Cool

What time frames are we talking?

Hes asking for 34 dollars an hour right? I don't know how experienced and effective of a software developer he is, but if he is experienced and effective that sounds around about a market wage for that line of work.

I'm betting this could be contracted out for about half that.

I know you only follow bct so I'll let you know that anonimal isn't just some some coder.  He is the driving force behind the i2p kovri project.  I follow the dev meetings on irc and after that there is a kovri meeting.  anonimal has impressed me.  This project is needed for privacy while connected to the Monero network and will make Monero complete as far as privacy is concerned.  I have contributed some Moneroj to this funding request.

Correct, thx for the additional info. Smiley

Also i would prefer someone who is with his heart at the project, like anonimal, before any free lancer. Imagine if Ilya was a "fanboy" or supporter and not a contracted programmer ... bet we would have had a GUI for quite some time now

224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 btc in XMR and 10 btc in ETC.... Balls of steel, or plain stupidity? on: October 08, 2016, 07:38:59 AM

225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: October 07, 2016, 07:14:54 PM
Somebody told me to go to mymonero.co and look at the message there.

Well if you did that exact same mistake before, most of us now know why the money is gone... there is a phising site called mymonero.co.
On the other hand i also cannot feel sorry for both of your lose... come on, we are talking about 4 Digits worth even if you bought @ 25 cent... some PC that can run either the old or the new db should have been possible.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 07, 2016, 06:37:41 AM
Looks like i am done investing in XMR now, i refuse to buy above 0.011, i will save my last bitcoins(0.67), losing money(currently 60$) for not buying really sucks. Currently my profit is only 250$, that sucks. The people that sold below 0.011 must have horrible anxiety right now, it took some balls to hold and buy even more(i chickened out and didn't go all in).

I have a feeling the price might drop below 0.011 again, will keep a few bids there in the case that happens.

It is not investing if you trade every little swing and only care of your in Dollar profit .... thats called speculating or gambling :p
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ZCash - My thoughts and Discussion on: October 06, 2016, 09:42:45 PM
Anything not built on top of Bitcoin at this point is to be considered a shitcoin scam or testnet IMO. No one wants your copycat+gimmicks chain.
+1
I absolutely agree with you. Few successful coin on one code base.

So one fatal flaw to bring them all down at once? A mixture of different codebases is not that bad at all.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Zcash? on: October 06, 2016, 09:34:20 PM
Come on .... (you monero shills always badmouthing - and trolling each and every coin as : "we are sooo much better BS")
how about your exit scam ?
how is that going  Wink

https://www.cointelegraph.com/news/monero-loses-darknet-market-in-apparent-exit-scam

First your post is off-topic and the above are good made arguments ... would not call that badmouthing... if you dont agree with them better make your point and disregard them... swinging the troll-hammer is easier then having a discussion.

Also please work on your reading comprehension and read that news article again... an DNM exit-scamming has nothing to do with Monero at all... would be the same as if you blamed bitcoin for Mt.Gox. Try harder next time pls.

On ZCash most things are already discussed above and i agree.

AB ist Marktführer also kannst du dein A++++ Haze immernoch kaufen :p
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 06, 2016, 09:20:43 PM

The minimum fee decreased from 0.01 XMR per kB to 0.002 XMR per kB today!

https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/564hci/the_minimum_fee_will_decrease_from_001_xmr_per_kb/

I wonder what needs to happen that Poloniex change their withdrawal fee to be less then 20 times expensive as withdrawing BTC.

One has not to do with the other... problem with Polo is that they have many dust outputs from the people that mine directly to exchange... so the average tx is bigger and more costly... but guess they may lower it in the near future
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 03, 2016, 03:34:49 AM
Funny how the newbie accounts show up after the rise and bubble ... and talk like the always were here... dude you got to earn yourself some reputation... even for TC it took years... i think he would agree.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 02, 2016, 09:08:28 PM

And there are plenty more, just look yourself.

Viewkey gives an optional publicity for confirmation of transactions.

Actually the relevant feature is not the view key but the tx-key (sometimes called the per-transaction view key). Bitsquare.io uses it in case of disputes. It allows the sender to prove payment on the blockchain beyond any doubt.

Ya i think it should be the obligation of the DNM itself when it offers a new payment method to also give a FAQ about how to that things in case of disputes.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what would happen to the alt market if poloniex bought the farm? on: October 02, 2016, 12:56:56 AM
This exchange had been the most active exchange and is even more popular nowadays than Bittrex, so if a news comes up of an attack or even if they decide to run away with people's money, I guess that there will be a huge dump in Bitcoins because it is all based on security which is why we are all here together...

Poloniex doesn't have anything special like more trust, but they do have better trading engines and things like margin trading and lending makes it a completely different exchange with such features and if it goes down, then why won't people migrate to others???

well you could say thay have something special... first... they dont have coin votes so you cannot buy a shitcoin in with few btc. Second they are most likely always the first exchange to add innovatives coins with new codebases... where other exchanges struggled with
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 02, 2016, 12:30:33 AM

Well maybe you are right.

I understand that when looking at the large amounts being thrown around on Polo that somebody has large stashes.  Your specifics just made no sense to me.  It is a relatively small market and people with money can do things that I can't fathom being a poor boy and others have much better insight into how markets work than I do. Even btc is not that big a market for some people.

Also dont forgot one of those bigger holders only needs to have a bigger % of the possible coins on the exchange not all coins ever mined... the "cold coins" are not that big of a part in the equotation on exchanges.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 01, 2016, 04:59:13 PM
@DaveyJones

So when/why did the price rise so much? We all know.

So what will happen when all markets who supports XMR will close / exit scams? (speculation)

Price will plummet, but id say new markets will open up, i guess no market in their clear mind would miss out on that XMR Volume Polo had ( if you included exchanges too in your markets ). Markets exciting may be a worry to the price... but in the end that is not problem of the "asset" or as what you want to see your monero speculation, because fundamentals for it did not change... but the problem/issue of the market that exited. People really need to differ.

Quote

ach, da ist sie wieder die unfreundlichkeit in den monero topics. thats why is just dont use this coin.... monero community is really rude.

Er scheint viel Geld verloren zu haben, ich nehm ihm den Frust nicht übel, auch wenn's nicht sein muss.

The market changes and so my oppinion. The loss of one market is 1 of 2. Than a new market appears which is -again in my oppinion a scam - which will also not help the coin.

And my main concern is that AB is going to close. And since every market left the show somewhen its something everyone should consider. It would be negligent to conceal such a fact. But ofc, keep on going on a hype. I have no problem to say, when i change my oppinion about something.

Offtopic:

Stunde.

english  tl;dr ->  ... the monero community is not rude ( only if there is smell of BS )  but helpful when help is needed.

Also you should not call it 1 of 2 N-Rg ... if you are talking of markets maybe you should consider it in % ... so if the 10% market closes still 90% remain not 50%. Also keep in mind the DNM are just speculative bonus atm... NO OTHER COIN even has that bonus and some are even valued higher. So things like that may cause panic pricewise ... but as long as the fundamentals are strong who cares... 1 XMR = 1 XMR and that should be the end-goal of any crypto-coin... otherwise you all automaticly agree the whole markets are just get rich quick schemes.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 26, 2016, 09:41:04 PM
Is there someone who can explain the 12% loss?

More sellers than buyers... markets gonna market Cheesy coin is still the same.

https://news.bitcoin.com/japanese-pay-utility-bills-bitcoin/

Reminder:  You can use XMR anywhere you can use BTC, via xmr.to or shapeshift.io

The Japanese company offering utility bill payment via BTC is coincheck.com, which recently introduced XMR in their exchange platform, which offers JPY-XMR.

This is not the type of news that's going to add buying pressure to XMR.

The ability to seamlessly spend xmr to any btc address is an important selling point to those of us who regard XMR as a superior store of value and speculative instrument but have occasional bills to pay.

Yeah, the two or three of you who thinks XMR is a superior store of value AND want to pay bills with it.

XMR could be a superior form of cash compared to BTC with the promise it holds, but it's hard to justify it as a superior store of value when it is far less secure than BTC, more prone to attacks and a lot more volatile than BTC. I can facilitate a mini crash / panic myself with only 200BTC

Sure but the things you are mentioning are only the result of the network effect. One could argue, if XMR becomes the promise it holds it will be as secure as BTC... volatility is no coin spec but traders choice.

Why mentioning the "value" of one coin... this sounds like putting a price-tag on it for me. Especially with their over-time-mine ( the 10% ) it makes NO sense to put that tag on it.
