It's been around 1 hour and still no confirmation email when trying to sign up at https://tec.ark.io/sign-up . I re-sent verificiation email and checked my junk folder as well but still nothing. ARKs have already been distributed to those that had accounts - if you sign-up with new account your balance will be 0 . Well, I'm following exact directions on setting up my account (ArkClient) and so I can vote for delegates. The instructions state to go to the site.... Yes, I read the instructions on how to vote but I don't think I'm at that step yet. I opened ArkClient, clicked create account, and copied my 12-word password and other password. Is that it to setup the account? It says "This account has never interacted with the network. This is a cold wallet.". Anything else I have to do before continuing on with voting for a delegate? Yes, you need to buy ARK coins with Bitcoins  Bittrex.com would be a great place to start. Then transfer the ARK coins to your wallet address. It says it a cold wallet because you have never sent anything out from there. Already had ARK on Bittrex from before. I didn't know setup was so simple, lol. I just want to make sure one more time, other than having to trust the delegate to payout, is there any risk at all with the actual coins (eg. 30,000 ARK) I use to vote? Does the delegate, or anyone but me for that matter, have any sort of access to the coins I decide to "share" with the delegate? I'm planning on voting for 2 delegates and splitting my coins 50/50 with each (about 15,000 ARK coins each)... you control your ARK tokens always 100% of the time. Even if you vote for some other delegate, you can move your ark to any other wallet at any time and you never have to give up control of the coin. This is a very important aspect of crypto, hold your own keys. Be your own bank. OK, so as long as I vote for a particular delegate, why does it matter whether I contribute 1,000 ARK or 20,000 ARK? If no one has access to my coins then how are my coins benefitting / making a difference to the delegate? because the more ark you are voting the delegate with the larger percentage of the distribution will be yours. because voting creates a link between the two accounts that give it "vote weight" but not access to the coins. it uses the wallet balance to do this, not the actual coins. the person with enough vote weight to be in 51 position WILL forge ark, the person in 52nd spot with 1000 less ark vote weight than the guy in 51 will NOT forge. |

So is the Ark staking function achieved through voting for a delegate who then pays a % of the profit-sharing rewards?
When you vote for a delegate, you are voting them into forging position and some of them are running additional software to allow for sharing of their ARK that they forge. so voting for these "pool" delegates will give you a percentage of the forged ark depending on the node operators rules. So voting for a pool is very similar to Staking in a PoS system. |

Waiting for the next pump, the price is so stable.
It seems 6k is the floor. That would be good. I don't like giant pumps. Because after big pump most follow a big dump which is not good. But from a 6k floor ARK can increase stably. giant pumps always have giant crashes. ARK's steady growth is good thing. |

depends on the percentage the pool is giving away and how much your ark is compared to other people who are voting in the pool. more is better. |

Ya, it's a complete joke. Literally, for 2 hours, every time I try to buy, I get bots buying like $3 or even $0.60 worth of ARK to make sure I don't buy. I don't even know how this is legal, lol.
I feel ya dude, crypto trading was much more fun before the bots really became a big problem. |

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY ARK NORMALLY?  Bttrex is nothing but damn bots. Non-stop buying and selling of ridiculously low amounts like 8 ARK, 50 ARK, 100 ARK, etc. And it's non-stop. Buy, sell, buy, sell. I can't even buy any ARK because the second I try to buy some ARK - whether it'd be 8,000 ARK, 15,000, or even 32,000 - I get stupid bots putting in tiny bids just a tiny bit higher than me. Even when I try to buy ABOVE market rate, a damn bot will put in a bid higher than me again, and then more bots join! This is beyond ridiculous. How is this crap even legal / allowed??? It's completely screwing the entire process of buying/selling with non-stop bots automatically reacting/buying/selling by the millisecond with tiny amounts. Lots of times you'll even see the same bid go up/down in quantity so that it doesn't get eaten up so that the bots can make sure they stay at the top of the bids and you cannot buy. I've been trying to buy around 2 BTC's worth of ARK for 2 hours now...First at 0.00006000 all the way slowly up to 0.00006450. No matter what I do - even when I put in the highest bid by a far amount - bots instantly come in and overtake my bids. To say the attempts of buying ARK are frustrating is a big understatement. This is beyond ridiculous. there may be some in the bitcointalk trade boards https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0You'll have to find a reputable escrow but you'll be able to negotiate a price with someone. |

I was thinking more for deciding who to vote for. E.g. if I can immediately see my reward would be tiny, I move on. But yeh, maybe it makes it too easy/exposed. Thanks for passing the idea on though   |

yes dude, said it like 10 times already. As long as the person you are voting for is forging they will send you ARK on their timeline. It could be every day, it could be ever week or every month. It's up to the delegate. Do you own research but if you vote for them, that's it. You get a portion of their ARK as long as they are forging based on your % vs other voters. forever. Okay thanks.Now is there any way that there can be a unvote put on wallet for what you and others have said to unvote does not work.Every time i uncheck then put new deligate in and refresh it goes away and the old one comes back on screen under votes. And tried to vote for the new deligate that i put in with the box checked and all it says is can not vote for 2. it's working fine. when you first place the vote, it adds it locally on the wallet. IF you click or refresh BEFORE it hits the blockchain, it will disappear. Once it hits the blockchain it will reappear. Give it some time between votes and unvotes as it needs time to do all the calculations on the blockchain for your decision. votes take a little bit longer than regular tx to process. Thanks makes more sense now then to just refresh and it would be gone.Sorry some of us are not that young anymore to understand i am 75 now still young and smarter than most kids to be in crypto at this time  |

On https://explorer.ark.io/delegateMonitor, pick a delegate, then select "voters" Look at the balance of each voter address, and get a rough idea, or you could calculate it exactly. Seatrips made it easy on their site: https://arkpool.seatrips.eu (scroll down) Are there any plans to implement a similar breakdown (per delegate) in the block explorer, cannabanana? click this link, it's a quick and easy breakdown to the specific amount of votes. auto updated every 2 minutes. was made by a great community member. Yeah that's cool, but I mean one like Seatrips has where it shows the weight per voter, per delegate. E.g. Arkpool - 2%, 2 voters Voters: Cannabanaba - 60% Mendeleev - 40% Then you would know I'd get 40% of the reward, and you'd get 60% (on a proportional distribution) At the moment, I can calculate it manually, but it would be cool if it was part of the explorer. Or is it better to let delegates and/or voters work it out themselves? E.g.
