It seems like a lot of things we were told about security and the way coinlenders operated was quite fictional.  Just like the site. It's going to be an interesting case. I don't know how well "traditional justice" will do here.
222  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: November 15, 2013, 09:05:22 AM
but the BTC rally is definitely hurting them and us -

But you dont lend BTC to people who are hurt by exchange risk read your description of investments.

ALL CL's liquid coins - we need to know how much that is and how much is loaned out as soon as possible. You should start to loosen your lips on the important information.

All of CL's liquid coins were stored on Inputs -

ALL of CL liquid coin was stored in a hot wallet??

How much??

1. We've had tons of forged email headers - including gmail ones that are missing the gmail authentication, but still flagged as valid. Someone even forged as admin@glados.cc.
2. We've had reports of people finding out attempted access to their email accounts. The attacker has everyone's email address and balance to know who to target.
3. We do not want to give any more coins to the attacker.

But what about CL refunds. It was a week now since you said we would get an update TF. If you have read my emails (I don't know because you didn't reply) you know the situation.

Please make progress on this today, it should be a priority.
225  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLenders, Inputs.io, Tradefortress (HACK) on: November 14, 2013, 09:35:05 AM
Nowhere else people can turn for bitcoin deposits, so yea he can either continue the service .... or run from it. The later would seem foolish.

Anyway - think DumbFruit is trying to keep this thread clean so it's less work.

226  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: November 13, 2013, 08:14:59 PM
Worst case -

He already gave away his stash and there are still inputs users who didnt get a refund, including a guy who had 400+ coins on inputs.

CL assets will be used to pay this back and you are screwed.

Time to sleep before i go crazy, I wish this mass email would go out already.

227  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: November 13, 2013, 07:56:07 PM
Enjoying the wishful thinking, so here is mine:

TF just gave his personal stash away to try and compensate for the terrible inputs.io mess because he is an awesome guy.

So awesome, that despite the CL loss on its inputs.io wallet, he can still give a 50% - 80% refund this week.

With the remainder following once the assets are liquidated and loans are paid.

Unfortunately he is so busy sorting this out that he doesn't have time for chit chat.
228  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: November 13, 2013, 12:26:32 PM
He also said within a week, so that would be Thursday at the latest.
229  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: November 12, 2013, 09:10:05 AM
I just got my full balance in CL out (over 20 BTC). Although transaction hasn't been confirmed yet, I now declare that TF has earned my full trust.

did you mail coinlenders support?

I mailed to support@inputs.io
230  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: November 11, 2013, 06:13:37 PM
Instead of closing, TF should run coinlenders and after he repaid CD holders, he should use the future profit to repay inputs users.

I agree! He can still use CL to make a profit and repay Inputs users. However I feel if he were to do this the amount of profit will be gradual and not a a fast enough pace
for Inputs.io victims whom demand their BTC be repaid ASAP.

By "TF should run coinlenders" I assume you mean he should continue to collect loans due and pay back depositors. Noone is going to make more deposits to CL.

Might need a re-brand Cheesy

Hmm if that was feasible he would probably not be terminating the CD's and cancelling the interest..... right?

Some of my CDs were locked in until the end of December.... he has given himself less time to liquidate as opposed to more.
233  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TradeFortress is a scammer. on: November 11, 2013, 01:34:52 PM
On a more positive note, My CoinLenders balance has been restored 100%  It wasn't a lot and would have been easy to brush it off but it was credited back.

Credited back where.
234  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: November 11, 2013, 10:41:43 AM
* Borrowers don't have an obligation to repay ASAP, however I'm working to allow the best actions to be taken given the situation.
* Dumping all assets asap isn't a smart idea, there's not enough liquidity for it except for deposits like JD.
* All failed withdrawals should have been re-credited back to your account.
* All CDs have been terminated with the fee rebates paid as of today.
* Please wait for an email update. You don't need to email me, any CL user with a balance will receive a mass email.

Thanks for the update Tradefortress! I am see my balance, I am just happy to get my principal (of course I would like more but). Phew I looking forward to the email.

Aha, the interest was changed on all to reflect the 0.001... well that makes more sense.... its a shame but understandable. Lets just write the interest off a contribution to inputs users but for those of us who had a CD locked away for months with now effectivley zero return. It would make it hard to take a haircut.

Despite the mistakes here, TF deserves more credit than he is getting in the last few days.
235  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLenders, Inputs.io, Tradefortress (HACK) on: November 11, 2013, 10:20:44 AM
Interest payments are about -1BTC compared to what was displayed. But that is no longer an issue.

Let's see what is next. liquidating assets slowly is pretty obvious I guess.
236  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: November 10, 2013, 10:44:12 AM
Some quick unsubstantiated maths for you, maybe it will ease your pain or maybe you want to ignore it.

4100 stolen from inputs.
1000 donates from TF to cover losses.
=3100

Lets pretend 1/3 was for loose CL funds going in and out so that would bring it to around 1000.

We know at a minimum that that CL has 4000 worth of assets/loans etc.

So if we discount the interest and just think about the initial investment and ignore the profit on the loaned coins. a 30% haircut should be worst, worst case - longer term when assests are liquidated etc...  maybe less, maybe just loss of promised interest?

If CL is solvent. and he can repay our initial investments, I for one think that interest payments should be donated towards the out of pocket inputs users.

@gaston909

Can you please tell us your source for these (bolded) figures?

Here is a VERY partial list of CL depositors - currently 3500+
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=328053.0

The money out his own pocket is visible on the blockchain from his personal address... and from what he has said about repaying people. As I said, unsubstantiated numbers... but you get the idea. There is surely a LOT more tied up in CL than the theft.

@gaston909

What I asked you was: Can you please tell us your source for these (bolded) figures?

And since you have now added more probably fictitious information, can you please share with us TF's personal address?

Thank you.

?

I very clearly said unsubstantiated.

People on that thread claim to have almost 4000 invested and that is only so far. That money has to be loaned out to generate the returns, right?!?!

Anyway, you can check his address in his sig.

These numbers are largely pointless, as only TF knows how hard the BTC he still has is working. We will see soon.

I have a powerful idea, that I have been exploring prior to this disaster and I think it would be good for the bitcoin community in general if it's done right, but it's not really appropriate for forum fodder or it will likely be exploited.

I would like to discuss it with tf but I know it's not a good time right now.

As for donations - dumbfruit is at least setting up a donation for the inputs hack - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=328053.msg3525951#msg3525951

But in the longer term, we need better prevention for theft and some kind of justice for the crimes.
240  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLenders, Inputs.io, Tradefortress (HACK) on: November 09, 2013, 02:05:17 PM
Does anybody have a good idea to raise some funds? Is it crazy for us if we ask other online wallets, trading sites, or organizations (coinbase, blockchain.info, mtgox, bitcoin foudation, coindesk, bitcoin magazine...) to sponsor this project somehow in order to get some good publicity and unlink the name of bitcoin with scammers and hackers?  As I said somewhere before, Iīm not an expert. Sorry if Iīm saying something stupid but I just canīt keep myself silent after this catastrophe... I just donīt want to imagine a scenario in which some people received partial refunds, others none, and at the end, everything is forgotten... until the next big rob happens.

We canīt keep ourselves silent!

Agreed - something positive should come from this disaster. EDIT - I do actually have a few ideas for this, but it would require TF help/discussion.

inputs had a nice little bitcoin foundation badge. That should probably count for something.
