Yes Chaosfox, that´s a serious question. Considering the magnitude of the hack-scam atmosphere lately all around bitcoin businesses and holders... Sincerely I can´t imagine a procedure safe enough to claim our btc from our accounts. Personally I keep track of most of my transactions between me and CL, can sign from some of the addresses used to send money there and (I think) my email accounts are still protected.

I can imagine that TF is also figuring out some ways to prove the authenticity of the owners of CL accounts.

1. We've had tons of forged email headers - including gmail ones that are missing the gmail authentication, but still flagged as valid. Someone even forged as admin@glados.cc.
2. We've had reports of people finding out attempted access to their email accounts. The attacker has everyone's email address and balance to know who to target.
3. We do not want to give any more coins to the attacker.

fyi, i am still selling my CL balance of 15.5 BTC. I will take any serious offer into consideration, and we can do escrow with a trusted member. PM

Don't expect to sell that for very much. TF might or might not even end up reimbursing everyone.
If he does it might not even be the total amount. So I doubt anyone will purchase a balance that you can't guarantee will be given in full.

well, it comes down to math and expectations right?

if someone thinks that the expected value of the funds there is X then he can pay me X*0,9 or whatever.
If i think that the expected value is lower than X*0,9 than i will accept. Its that easy.

Had one lowball offer until now, but im not selling for cents to the $....

Escrow possible.

Is not time to start asking for balance sheet of the activity performed by coinlenders (if any), of the loan issud by coinlenders (if any), and all the activity (if any) that has paid for the "interest" on the deposit until now ?

Ofcourse if those information cannot be provided... well, you simply invested in another ponzi scheme.

"A small number of Bitcoins belonging to TradeFortress’s other business, CoinLenders, were also taken, TradeFortress said in an email interview (He didn’t provide his real name)."

"“I’m repaying with all of my personal Bitcoins, as well as remaining cold storage coins on Inputs, which adds up to 1540 BTC,” he told WIRED."

http://www.wired.com/wiredenterprise/2013/11/inputs/

1) A small number??

2) 1540btc won't help much especially if that included the 900btc he already reimbursed. That would leave only 640btc and there are already more than 6800 unreimbursed btc listed at
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=328053.msg3522352#msg3522352

3) Let's hope that story is inaccurate.  Undecided

Well, hopefully he's sending that email soon. TradeFortress surely has a lot of explaining to do.

I've come to the conclusion we are all fucked, I hope TF has tight lipped friends because if his identity is leaked it won't be pretty...

*EDIT* Just to be clear, I wasn't attempting to be threatening but I imagine some people are lot angrier than I am at present Wink

I think it's pretty much leaked in the scammer thread.  Close anyway

Oh, I just had a read - Very interesting.

Good luck to everyone involved, I'll write my BTC off now and assume I'm never seeing it again.

Yup- gave it a read as well. I'm still a wee bit hopeful but I've learned my lesson by now. And well... TF is risking a lot if he stays quiet, at the very worst moment. I think we'll start seeing something happening anyhow, I just think it'll be a lose-lose for him and for all of us.  Undecided

So he did have a cold wallet with roughly 25% of inputs.io's funds in it.
Why have a cold wallet at all if you keep that low amount in it?

According to this: http://www.wired.com/wiredenterprise/2013/11/inputs/ he had ~1500 in cold wallet. While he had 4100 in hot wallet that was stolen.

Update

The situation is I'm facing extreme difficulties in getting most borrowers to honor their obligations - the BTC rally doesn't help. To name a few that have been impossible to reach (when talking about their debt):

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=70557
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=17548
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=70541
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=35121

(Borrowers can deposit to CL via BTC address).

Many security issuers like CreativeX have gone missing, but thankfully in the past days Deprived and arij came back, and Crypto-Trade divs have been successfully paid on their own exchange. ASICMINER isn't doing well which is the collateral for many (defaulted) loans.

The reason why there's no email update is that I'm primarily waiting for other people that are not responsive, which results in having to pass on the non-responsiveness. All of CL's liquid coins were stored on Inputs and what's remaining are debts and assets that took a significant wipe (we still have borrowers that are communicative, thank you!, but the BTC rally is definitely hurting them and us, especially modification proposals).

but the BTC rally is definitely hurting them and us -

But you dont lend BTC to people who are hurt by exchange risk read your description of investments.

ALL CL's liquid coins - we need to know how much that is and how much is loaned out as soon as possible. You should start to loosen your lips on the important information.
