221  Economy / Speculation / Re: best indicators to use to predict bitcoin price direction? on: January 06, 2018, 09:44:27 AM
maybe i am looking for a guru and if there is one, that person probably might or might not post here. looking for the best indicator where one's concept of "best" is relative. what i think is best might not be so for you. asking for one's opinion of the best indicator does not necessarily mean that i don't know what i'm doing or asking. i'd rather ask than pretend to know everything and be a fool. anyway, if you use charts and are able to read one, here's an example and tell me what you think. but if you don't read charts, it won't hurt to learn to  Wink cheers!

223  Economy / Speculation / Re: best indicators to use to predict bitcoin price direction? on: January 06, 2018, 01:55:58 AM
yes, i understand. thank you for sharing your thoughts.

basically that's what i do - read the news. news does have so much influence on market behaviour and so directs/affects price. but i still feel like the chart is a reflection of decisions and activities in the bitcoin ecosystem and that there's something there that'll tell us what's bound to happen to the price.

there's news that we don't know about right away and those that receive it first react through their trading behavior, right? and as news reach more and more people, influencing their decisions, then i feel like trading behaviour is reflected in the charts right away so there are indicators to use to kind of read market behaviour and so predict which direction price is about to take - even when news is just about to hit the press.

thanks again for your opinions. hope to get more replies. will appreciate them all.
224  Economy / Speculation / best indicators to use to predict bitcoin price direction? on: January 06, 2018, 12:49:04 AM
tried to read charts using some of the indicators i used to trade forex. with some, like the basic stochastic oscillator and william's range i'm able to tell which direction price will go but some don't really work. i go to tradeblock and use some of the indicators there to tell price of some of the major cryptos. which indicators do you use which you think is best to predict price movement?
225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to your Bitcoin when you Die? on: January 05, 2018, 02:08:06 PM
it'll disappear with you unless you entrust your private keys, password to someone. you'll move on to eternity, while your bitcoins may be added to the circulating coins unless the person you entrusted your bitcoins to loses the private keys and password and the bitcoins will be gone too.
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin used by criminals ? on: January 05, 2018, 02:00:37 PM
I once read an article that says bitcoin is used as a payment transaction for terrorists and hackers. And maybe you guys in this forum also already know it. But here i want to convey my personal opinion in that matter. I think that internet and bitcoin interrelated. Many terrorists and criminals use internet .so also with bitcoin which used perpetrator However, despite all these issues, do people make concrete efforts to ban the internet? No. Not because removing and banning Bitcoin is difficult, but because the internet offers more positive than negative. For the same reason, we have to be more careful about our mindset for Bitcoin, because much evidence has shown that Bitcoin brings many positive, if not more, effects than the internet. Internet and Bitcoin are just devices that 'bad guys' and 'good people'. Fortunately, the world is filled with more people in the 'good people' category.

criminals will use anything liquid and valuable to carry on with their illegal activities. so it's not just bitcoin and the internet. let's say you're able to shutdown the internet. would criminality end? unfortunately, it won't. they'll find other means to continue illegal deeds and heftily profit from it.

228  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: January 05, 2018, 12:47:08 PM

Guns are made for one purpose, and that purpose is to kill.
I believe that guns are not weapons, they are tools. How they are used is up to the person holding it.
Guns are especially dangerous in the hands of people who don't know how to use them (i.e., kids and teenagers) as well as those who are mentally ill and/or have a temper problem.
Gun control will not stop violence because a violent person doesn’t need a gun to be violent.
After the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, support for gun control increased dramatically.

Generally in America, the support for gun control has outweighed the support for gun rights.
Are gun control laws constitutional?
What would be your ideal set of laws regarding firearms?

maybe it's about time that firearm ammunition is changed or replaced. change the bullets. use something that'll just temporarily paralyze offenders. and if someone is killed, put a life sentence on the killer. maybe some genius out there can design weapons that are blockchain powered - if that were possible so weapon use is reflected on a ledger or something like that. but where the blockchain promotes pseudonymity for cryptocurrencies, let that for firearms be identified on the chain....
229  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does a college degree still matter in the digital age? on: January 05, 2018, 12:30:48 PM
i think getting a college degree is good as long as you have the discipline to purse the goals you've set in line with the degree you finished.

let's say you finished a degree in music/conservatory because you love music so much. or you finished a medical degree because you want to help make suffering or disease less severe or better, help find cures for conditions that don't have any.

in the digital age, we'd still need doctors unless some programming like that in the movie travelers become a reality then we can do away with doctors and getting a degree in medicine won't matter anymore.

there are college courses that matter. and there are people who really want to go take that particular course/degree direction and practice it when they finish. there are others, however that don't. but that does not mean that they won't be successful in the future. they can be successful in other areas/fields. i believe that it's not all school stuff that makes one successful. you can be very good with academic stuff but their attitude ain't that great. they could still fail. to cut this short, for me it's aptitude + attitude + effort = success in the digital age  Wink
230  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does Aliens exist? on: January 05, 2018, 12:13:41 PM
I know this is crazy base on what people post at the Internet now a days.

•Do you actually believe in aliens?

Basing on people's posted video I would say yes what do you think guys? I hope I am not just the one who believes in aliens.

if you believe in religious works, then you can read the book of enoch. it's a non-canonical apocryphal work and is no longer included in today's printed bibles. you'll get to read about aliens there including giants and angels.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many people against bitcoin? on: January 05, 2018, 11:32:28 AM
i've replied to htis thread somewhere and adding another reply to the OP's question. the reason why so many are "against" bitcoin is that compared to the larger world population, the bitcoin community is quite small. bitcoin is still relatively new to folks outside the bitcoin/blockchain world, and so, the majority still find it odd that we can do so much with bitcoin and that it's valuable when it's just data  Wink

233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: TOA Coin - your travel cryptocurrency on: January 05, 2018, 09:46:49 AM
The last time i checked you said you will open an office in Manila on November 2017 and now it will be on mid of this year. Did i miss something? The issue last year brings down the price of TOA, my question is how will you bring back trust of the investors. We appreciate your work and eagerness but as i recall when we invest in PSB it is the same eagerness, effort and passion that we saw until one day the developer gives up and accidentally that developer is in your team.

I agree. I hope that I won't be tagged as someone spamming this thread. I was an investor of PSB too and I invested big. It wasn't just money that I invested. My word was in there too and tagged a lot of friends who invested huge amounts as well. When there were questions about the dips, I defended PSB so when the sudden news to a coin swap slapped me in the face, everything just crumbled for me and I suppose others have had a similar experience.

So the core dev of TOA, I suppose is Richard Park? What assurance can he give that TOA won't end up like PSB? because from the looks of the charts, TOA is taking the same trajectory as PSB.... PSB investors like me can't help but notice the trend. It's all too similar -- the promises, the excuses like price is taking a beating because of bitcoin growth. It's the same.

Other alts have held their ground and even broke past their previous highs and even when bitcoin price was moving forward. What's holding back toa from doing the same?
234  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: January 05, 2018, 09:31:36 AM
nadidisable ba yung chatbox sa mga rep ng coinsph? napansin ko lang kasi ngayon na wala na yung dating chatbox sa support team.
235  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Unofficial] Exodus Wallet | Multi-Currency | Built-in Exchange on: January 05, 2018, 08:06:46 AM
qtum no longer in exodus?

Qtum have now their own blockchain and It's no longer built within Ethereum blockchain (ERC20) so Exodus dropped the support for it but It's planned for the roadmap.

checked both exodus and exodus eden. didnt see qtum in both. thanks for the fyi.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin. 2017 will be $ 1 in December. on: January 05, 2018, 05:57:46 AM
maybe doge needs to break through 100 sats and then blast off from there and reach new all time highs. the doge community may celebrate the coming chinese new year with dogecoin price moving forward. this will perhaps encourage new investors and contribute to even more price gains.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: January 05, 2018, 05:43:50 AM
