asking somebody to be your guardian angel somehow and help you to stop could work but you need someone with a lot of availability, may be harder to find.
Just to share, I barely gamble now unlike before ehich was almost 18 hours per day.
I gamble less now because I am spending most of the time watching gambling streams from best gambling streamers on Twitch since few months ago. If you gamble to entertain yourself, you can also find entertainment on watching these streamers and avoid losing money just to be entertained.
Wow you played 18 hours per day before, that's a long time I guess, but I've never been that long in gambling but now you've changed that pattern.
Watching streaming gambling also actually entertains me. Previously, I watched this for hours but in the end I became curious and played again, maybe because it was not controlled so that curiosity continued to exist.

there's something about dopamine addiction/neurotransmitters that makes it really hard to stop playing/gambling for some people
in some situations it starts a domino effect, a cascade that is really hard to get rid of.

When that type of substance is secreted, dopamine is very possible for the person to feel invincible, normally dopamine sometimes causes it to be activated in people who go to nightclubs a lot, but of course it is because of the prohibited substances that they consume, no I had seen or known the effect that it causes in gambling, I honestly believe that it is something very dangerous.

dopamine is related to the reward systems of the body
it's secreted from several activities that provide a reward, healthy ones like sex and exercise and unhealthy ones like gambling
not all drugs will stimulate dopamine secretion

and social media is probably more addictive and dangerous for brain balance than night clubs and alcohol... something to think about
2203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: July 22, 2022, 09:07:36 PM
I suspect this may be the case with most people
either they don't bet with bitcoin at all or they consider USD cost-basis instead of btc when gambling

could be...
Of course, that is why there are many currency options in casinos because not all gamblers want to gamble with bitcoins. Bitcoin whales in gambling seem more inclined to use bitcoin to gamble than other altcoins, I agree with that. But of course, most other gamblers prefer altcoins to bitcoins regardless of the price.

TRX, Doge, USDT, and Ethereum are some of the options I use to gamble, but I'm of course bitcoin is still possible for me to use. In the end it all depends on the preference of each gambler and what currency he prefers the most, but the impact of the decline in the price of bitcoin can be felt by the gamblers.

100% that
and in the end most of the chains or even centralized exchanges allow you to swap between currencies in a click
so it's not hard to change from one to the other as well
2204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2022 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: July 22, 2022, 02:51:44 PM
I'm a colorado (an international fan) and I confess that the game was really electrifying... to biting nails until the end of the game.
It's a shame that São Paulo managed to draw, I was betting on Internacional's victory, which is in a good phase, unfortunately they "woke up" late in this championship.
Internacional's next match will be against Palmeiras, a much more difficult game... but I'll bet again on Internacional's victory.

Betting with your heart is not always the best option.  Roll Eyes
It will certainly be a difficult game for Internacional, against Palmeiras. But in football there are no invincible teams, and therefore there is always a chance that Internacional will win.

exactly, same with Corinthians vs Ceara game
most of the people would probably expect Corinthians to win but the opposite ended up happening

some things are unpredictable
2205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: July 22, 2022, 02:40:13 PM

did you stop playing?

a bit off topic but related somehow:
I find it really interesting that there are chess boards of all kinds of prices
from normal popular ones to high-end special ones.
not sure if we have this in so many other markets, watches comes to my mind
Mostly people like Blitz these days and they hardly buy board and go for the online gaming partner.
We all are now phone addicted - don't know what will happen in coming day- but it seems like a serious trouble on our way!

that's true, and fast games are way more addicting
a week ago I decided to play more 10+0 games than 5+0 games for a while
trying to take a break for a couple days as well

as much as I love chess playing online can be really addicting, but the mmr system makes you stay in the flow, always playing with someone who's your level

You are right on that Raflesia. Altcoins with cheaper networks like ltc and doge makes transfer much cheaper
Of course their value will also fluctuate of you compare it to usd. Not many ways to escape from that besides using the so called stablecoins.

Ceara vs Corinthians

Ceara 2.20
Draw 3.00
Corinthians 3.75

A good odd to bet on Corinthians victory today

Yes, this game should be relatively easy for Corinthians. Also because it is in a growing phase of the season, with the players very motivated and presenting a good football.
Ceara is bad, 1 defeat and 4 draws in the last five games. They hardly won this game.

in the end Ceará won, 3 x 1 goal only for Corinthians
this was for the game on July 16th, right?

that is unexpected
I'd also think it was an easy bet on Corinthians winning

confirmation

2213  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Golpe comum para roubarem NFTs: Set approval for all on: July 20, 2022, 05:52:24 PM

2214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: July 20, 2022, 05:37:58 PM
I think if they were new they wouldn't pay much attention to the ups and downs of the price, because basically they would focus on the stakes and not on the price on bitcoin. But indeed, the decline in the price of bitcoin will not affect the overall bet because every gambler and player certainly has its own way and calculation for them to hold, withdraw and deposit. So far the price of bitcoin has experienced a lot of decline but in fact there are not many gamblers who complain about it and also, not many of the developers are bankrupt, because more of them survive and continue to grow over time.
I don't know about anyone else, but for me it won't have any impact. I don't bet with bitcoin, but more likely to do with other currencies like stablecoin or others. The impact of bitcoin's decline only leaves me with the opportunity to earn more bitcoin if I win, but the opposite will happen if I use stablecoin.

Big gamblers in the crypto space don't really care about price volatility, but they only care about how much assets they have in crypto so the lower the bitcoin price, the more it appears they are trying to collect more by gambling.

I suspect this may be the case with most people
either they don't bet with bitcoin at all or they consider USD cost-basis instead of btc when gambling

yes, maybe Carlsen level is so much higher than other players that he doesn't want to spend so much time to prepare for a world championship again since it takes a long time and a lot of effort

what do you all think?
2217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: July 19, 2022, 07:49:41 PM
Chess is by far the game more books have been written about through all history, so even if it is nowhere near as popular as many other hobbies and games we see today the fact that chess has been around for thousands of years in several different forms should speak about its staying power and how popular it has been through the ages, and not only that chess is a game that improves memory, deduction and logical thinking so unlike other games chess is in fact good for you and it even offers health benefits like the delaying of degenerative mental diseases.
this is the game of strategy - the mind and the moves. I was very much fasinated  by chess game when I was young. So we gathered money and we brought ourselves a chess board. One of my cousins taught us how to play it. It was fun - we use to play it all the time.
Miss those days.

regarding betting, it would only make sense on championships, right?
I mean, I wouldn't really play chess for money, unless it's totally for fun, because it's so unpredictable if you'll be able to win or not since it's a game that relies a lot on skill and practice

Yes, or maybe semifinals or quarterfinals. Chess is really a good one and my favorite among all other sports. It is kinda hard to predict yes, because chess is a mind game, we can say that there's a different strategy that they can use but still it can be countered by an enemy so you can't be sure if even that player shows a good game using a well known strategy the winner of the game is still unpredictable, you should learn basic moves as well do not rely to their skills so you can have a bet.
What are we discussing in this forum? there is nothing going on in Chess there days.
I m not sure if everyone who comes to this forum are interested in chess and want to share their knowledge about chess and their rules.

some users are definitely interested in chess and we had great discussions on chess possibilities, strategies and gambling on the past topics (check first post)

yes, there's something about having all the information, there are no hidden things in chess so both players can see everything that is happening and decide accordingly.
2219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: July 15, 2022, 12:23:32 PM
Chess always had good reputation, its just recently it got a bit more popular and been recognized by another generation.
<..>

I wonder how much the Netflix series "Queen's gambit" affected chess' reputation
we know media can shape the culture in really interesting (and sometimes bad ways), in this case it probably affected it but not sure if we can measure how much and in which countries.

Well yes, the series is clearly good, at least I thought it was good, and it makes it clear that the great chess masters who for me are on another level are the Russians, I feel that in the film they focused well on chess, not her genius, but also how important chess is, and that it always takes several to be able to analyze the moves, at one point I thought that those who shared the moves and analysis at that time were the Americans and that those who they did not, it was the Russians, but in the series they focused on the opposite. For me it gave me many things to understand, and with respect to the level of each person, blitz and long games are always good, each person can become specific and expert in what they like the most.I would have to study the endings a lot.

many things from here but I'll focus on the last part

I think endings are even more important than openings
you can get along well using the same opening on each game so you'd just need to know a good opening for whites and a good one for blacks
but endings can vary a lot from game to game, way more important imo

Caramba, cheguei 4 minutos atrasado com meu outro tópico: Itaú, maior banco privado do Brasil, vai oferecer produtos tokenizados (crypto?)

Tongue

consegui acessar aqui normalmente
essa é a chamada do MB
