1301  Local / Português (Portuguese) / UBI no Brasil: é possível? on: March 31, 2023, 12:23:14 PM

Good to see a new thread for the brazilian soccer championship
Will stick around to check the news
Do we have a bet for who will be the 1st, 2nd and third place or not yet?
1303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone here tried Gambling Arbitrage? on: March 31, 2023, 12:03:47 PM
Do you want to get banned from several sportsbooks? gambling arbitrage is not allowed in any sportsbooks because you're trying to find a loophole where you will always make money, gambling is risking your money to make money. It's better to gamble without need to think about find a loophole, if you want to maximize your profit, you can join a sportsbook promotions e.g. odds boost, risk free etc.

It’s probably possible to do it though it’s a good idea to check the odds beforehand since the casino owners will take their margin
I’d guess the best strategy is to do it using different spotsbets websites

Have anyone here tried this successfully?
1304  Economy / Gambling / Re: STARTING OWN CRYPTO GAMBLING SITE on: March 31, 2023, 11:33:57 AM
Yes, you are right in that part, but there are some casinos that do not do such a thing, but rather cut off the client telling them to come tomorrow or that a ticket is opened that lasts 24 hours to review the case and that they can follow up and when the status changes Approved is when what was requested can be done, so this robot thing is good, but it is better for the casino to SPEND a little more money to give jobs to people who work 24 hours a day, with rotating hours, nobody cares , but one of the things that casino customers look at a lot is that they are well attended.

I haven't found any crypto casinos that use bots in customer service but if there are crypto casinos that use bots it must be boring and irritates customers because being able to get more precise answers takes a little longer in contrast to customer service which the team immediately responds to.
I once used a fiat casino whose services used bots, when a problem occurred my complaint was not resolved immediately but only told to complete several stages that were not important and wasted time.
Customer service is a priority that should not be underestimated, like only relying on bots.
you can never tell mate or you aren't really an active gambler because there are some casino specially those scammy one that uses bot more on their support response for their costumers that has cases.
we can also see in some signature banner here so better be careful in choosing one.

If one don’t mind doing KYC the best option is to stick to the known casinos that we are sure aren’t scammy.
Duelbits and roobet are some of the options people recommend and that are known for paying wins without problems

I’d say do your due diligence regarding all others

The network state vale a pena. To avançando bem nele agora e devo terminar nos próximos dias. To no 68%

Sim. Dostoiévski pode ser um tanto sombrio. Gostei mt do Idiota e do Crime e Castigo.

ChatGPT is the first big successful project that is attracting everyone to AI and creating hype for AI.  And we know that after something new is launched, many alternatives to it start to appear in the market. Similarly, technology like ChatGPT will start coming and it will be used in different places.  It is natural that this can play an important role for any live support as well. AI is able to work faster than humans because it is a bot so if it is used it will be possible to get faster support.  Support reply doesn't matter whether it's human or bot.  Because getting the right information and finding something is our main purpose
ChatGPT still has its flaws and can sometimes provide inaccurate information, I haven't used GPT-4 yet but I heard that it is way too advanced compared to ChatGPT on so many levels especially when it comes to quick and more accurate responses. Using GPT-4 for customer support can probably be a viable solution for any platform but only if it can be customized and additional information can be fed to it.
As ChatGPT is a new and big project it is natural that there have been or will be issues but they are slowly fixing these issues.  ChatGPT first launched the beta version to find out what people really want and what uncommon questions they might encounter.  And they is very successful in this strategy.  They are slowly upgrading them.  It sounds like they did their Hughes correction on GPT-4 and it works great. So I think it is going to play a big role in gambling too in the coming days.

In the end of the day I think it’ll be quite easy to put AI out of the gambling scene by building good systems where the house edge is maintained

Remember that the same vectors used for attacking can also be used for defending.
casino owners will also use AI to build and improve their systems. As well as to detect cheaters and other AIs

1308  Economy / Gambling / Re: No bet is a waste on: March 30, 2023, 01:18:16 PM
No bet is a wasted bet if you're not betting to gain profits. The distinction here is that you'll have to be playing for fun, which I would argue is the best way you could gamble as it does not put the unnecessary pressure of winning the money over your shoulder.
and with this attitude then we will be having a positive thoughts and can decide according to your reliance .

Therefore giving you a clearer head and better decision making.
+1 in this behavior .

Every bet provides novel experiences that you could only experience from that particular stake. be it a win or a lose it definitely imparts something really remarkable, this is why we could talk about our best and worst bets in the first place.
and the worst is? i after losing more often yet that gambler will continue to chase winning and that will end up a very bad result ..

completely agreed on your views and behavior about how to gamble mate.

Chasing winnings is probably the gambler and the day trader biggest enemies (are they só different from each other at the end of the day?)

It’s impressive how much of these threads comes down to one thing:
Emotional awareness (could use “control” here but awareness is better)

When anxious, too excited or too sad, better to step away from gambling and let things settle
1309  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: March 30, 2023, 12:33:09 PM
I don't think it is a great move to create an AI to beat the house especially if the casino owners will know that someone use an AI to beat the house if they are successful with the AI then I think they will make changes to their TOS so that using an AI will result in getting banned from their casino. Many people will think that it is possible to beat the house but in reality, they will only take what you have after some winnings.

There’s that. If an AI find an edge (which I don’t think will happen on systems well made) it will be against the terms of use of the website and the person/AI account will get cancelled with prizes not paid.

Probably

Sim.

1311  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to use crypto to miximize profits through sport betting. on: March 29, 2023, 12:59:35 PM
Maximizing profits should be possible with crypto or with fiat if you find an edge. Am I wrong?
I just don’t see why crypto would make it possible to scale more. Maybe with more opportunities directly aimed to the crypto sector. Like betting with NFTs or something like that

1313  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: March 29, 2023, 12:20:01 PM
The player was confirmed to have had a past history of gambling addiction and has wasted much more amount than the 1.4 million dollars in the last loss, but then I wondered why he is still having access to such huge funds when their knows he has a gambling problem, it shows the have not been proper rehabilitation for the ops.
No wonder and what you said here explains the main reason why he made the silly bet without risk management because only a gambling-addicted person would go that big on a game.

By the way
How do you know the gambler didn’t use risk management
I know it is unlikely (but not impossible!) that this person has many millions or even billions of dollars and this loss represent just a small % of their fortune
1314  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: March 29, 2023, 12:10:14 PM
Well. Putting it simple. If there is an edge, AI (and future AGIs) will find it. No doubt
The thing is we’ll probably move to a scenario where there is no edge at all on the games and in the long run the house wins.

Still possible to use AI to manage bankroll strategies and try to find an edge on some skill games
1315  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Dall-E 2 e imagen: Criando imagens detalhadas com inteligência artificial on: March 28, 2023, 04:39:09 PM

- Aprenda à usar o chat-GPT para fazer sua dissertação/sua redação;
- Como resolver um problema de lógica (programação de computadores) usando o chat-gpt para perguntas que não estão gabaritadas na internet;

Estou falando do AI Text Classifier.

I do agree that LN is not "real" at this moment since getting that into binance for example is hard.
I didn't get your point to be honest. You do agree lightning network Bitcoin is not "Real" Bitcoin just because you cannot transact with Binance? C'mon, bro! What are you talking about?

Quote
I just like to do segwit, that is more than enough for me and I feel comfortable about it. The amount that I have to pay is not giant, I remember old days when it was as high as 30-40 dollars at some point to move money around, this was both in 2017 and in 2021 as well, we are not there right now so it doesn't really feel that much.
I agree that segwit transactions are cheap and that's one of the reasons why we use it. But, Segwit is not faster than a lightning network. The lightning network is faster.

Quote
And if that ever feels like an issue, I can always use anything in bep20, it could be bnb, it could be busd, or it could be anything else. But here? Here, btc is fine, the price is not a lot and I get to withdraw to binance easily, then I can do whatever I want with it.

If you consider lightning network Bitcoin is not Real Bitcoin. How do you describe the bep20 network or whatever alternative network? Of course, you have a choice not to use the Native chain of Bitcoin. But, that's not real Bitcoin either.

real and unreal hahah interesting debate

of course the LN is real, and binance has power in the crypto scene but not all this power.
but in the end the LN is still quite niche and the technology is in its first steps

we'll still see it change a lot in the next years

does anyone knows when the art contest will close?

I saw somewhere it was april 5th but some other people said it usually just lasts for the month, so I'm not sure

The manager has clearly stated that the deadline for submitting work is April 5th, and any additional comments made by others are irrelevant.

Deadline: April 5th, so a bit more than a month to go!

That’s already enough time to create your art piece, I hope there will be no extension since it will be unfair to those who submitted their art work in time. If you are is already available, better to submit it now so you can have the advantage of being the first and unique art. Anyway, you still have time to prepare for it and make it perfect, I expect more participants for this round, the competition is getting tougher.

thanks for clarifying @FatFork

I think the same @crzy
usually having extensions is not so fair with those who already joined
it often happens when there are just too little people participating, which is not the case in this contest
so we'll probably stay only until the 5th.

it's enough time

1319  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Duelbits.com | Signature Campaign ~ Full Members+ | Up to $70/Week on: March 28, 2023, 03:35:24 PM
Hi! Is there positions for Full Members lately? I've just reactivated my acc from 2017 and Im strongly inclined to join that campaign ASAP.

Even if there was a position for a Full Member, you, as a member, cant apply to it Cheesy You neither have enough merit (they can be obtained rather quickly if you know what to post), nor have enough activity (burst posting wont help, as you need 2 weeks to get those 120 activity).

Thanks for adding your perspective

Actually I just wanted to know (and I still want) how frequent those positions for full members occur.

I'm fully aware that my account is not eligible yet, my strategy is not to burst posting but contribute organically and without hurry Smiley

I would appreciate it if someone could help me clearing the doubt regarding the (main and only) question that I asked previously, even tho the subquence unrelated discussion is always welcome Smiley

peace!

hi @Crossholder

when a campaign is full it will just open new slots if somebody give up or fail to meet post requeriment for 2 or 3 weeks in a row (varies from campaign to campaign and manager to manager, this one is 2 weeks if I'm not wrong)

you can keep up with this thread, Hhampuz usually announces when new slots open
as other members mentioned the title of the post is helpful as well

CFNP = closed for new participants

if there are slots the title will usually have the tag [OPEN]

this is a good thread to keep up with all campaigns active in the forum as well
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.2980

keep it up, post high quality threads and answers and you'll rank up in no time and be able to join a campaign

I've been on duelbits campaign for more than 100 weeks now, some campaigns stay active quite long, other ones are faster and goes for only a couple weeks.
