O meu outro lado acha preocupante
1442  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Compra e venda de contas do BitcoinTalk on: February 10, 2023, 12:23:20 PM
Legal trazer a discussão do legal vs moral

1444  Economy / Gambling / Re: Own a profitable gambling site. Looking for investors on: February 10, 2023, 12:10:37 PM
Do you have a plan on how you’ll use the money to scale?
Are you willing to DOX yourself for the investor?
The Investor will own equity in the company?

Many questions
But quite interesting thread
1445  Economy / Gambling / Re: Researching for Upcoming Game on: February 10, 2023, 11:54:54 AM
Players in the crypto gaming/gambling space may want to see more games that are transparent, fair, and provably so. They may also want to see games that are faster, more accessible, and have lower fees. Some players may also be looking for innovative new games that offer unique experiences and exciting ways to win big.

Do you think the fees are really a problem?
As far as I’ve seen it they’re usually really low

New mechanics and games may be a good isea

As an example
Rollbit does a “box roll” game which is provably fair and you can win NFTs
This was something I haven’t seen before
1446  Economy / Gambling / Re: Researching for Upcoming Game on: February 09, 2023, 12:28:47 PM
really curious about the degens in the space

Will run trough this thread later to check answers

I’d also agree that no KYC and even better if descentralized is a huge selling points
There aren’t many good casinos playing this game like that

1448  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: February 09, 2023, 12:10:46 PM
To navigate detailed websites or to keep up with many tabs at once desktop is way superior than mobile

I’ll only prefer mobile when I’m on the road or for fast things that you can do on the go like betting on some game after already having deposited in the gambling website
1449  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: February 09, 2023, 12:01:50 PM
Any chance. Even if small. That this was a fat finger mistake?

It reminds me of Taleb’s concepts on avoiding ruin at all costs
Let’s just hope this wasn’t a big percentage of the gamblers money. But I could bet this is not the case
Aquela história do “querem proibir, querem liberar”

1451  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Integração do Bing e chatGPT.

No need a lot token.

A few coin/token already enough for us, to much coin in my opinion especially a token you're mention while you're know but doesn't mean we're know as well. We don't know the token, and most of animal coin it's only hype, etc.

I don't think is good enough.

the only con I can see to add more coins is the security/opsec aspect of it
can you see any other?

adding more variables can make the system more fragile.

1454  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: February 08, 2023, 09:22:34 PM
yes, probably there's a new contest coming soon
preferably a contest where everyone can participate to follow it, too often see art contests that sometimes not everyone likes art let alone make it, of course this is a bit more limited, I think new ideas are needed for the next contest
They stopped the weekly contest in the games and rounds which they dominated before and now, they only focus with their signature campaign and the art contest. Probably Roobet is minimizing their exposure here as they are planning to run such promotions for a longer time. With the Art Contest, you can still a lot of participants there and that's a big reward to deal with, probably they will have another one this coming summer, so let's just wait for that and maybe, they will put some twist on the next one.

yes, I was commenting thinking more about the art contest since these are always here and seems like the last one was in November, about 3 months ago

no pressure and no hurry of course
1455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: February 08, 2023, 09:14:23 PM
As I said, Ding Liren's failure had a dramatic effect on his rating - he not only flew out of the 2800 club (where only Carlsen is now lol), but even fell to third place. Now he has 2788 points, while Nepomniachtchi (who moved up to second place for the first time in his career) has 2793. Quite an interesting rearrangement before the match for the chess crown. However, a match and a tournament are still very different things, so it's not a fact that any conclusions can be drawn from these events.

after reading this post I realized I don't know much of the calculations of the rating system was curious about it
I understand how it works to match similar level players and that'll earn more points by beating someone with a higher rating than you instead of a lower one
but I didn't know how's the math on that

found this:
https://www.chess.com/terms/elo-rating-chess
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_system

the probability bit is really interesting:

Quote
Calculating the probable outcome of chess games is one of the fascinating aspects of this rating system: it takes into consideration the fluctuations in a player's performance. From time to time, we all have bad days when we play poorly. Even when we are at our best, we can still slip up and make a game-losing blunder.

If you are interested in sports betting, then you should study this issue well  Wink
The strength of teams/ranking/etc are based on this math and then reflected in bookmaker quotes. The quotes that bookmakers give us are inversely proportional to the probability that the team/player will win. It's all about probabilities.

quite interesting
is it always the case?

I'll definitely look more into it

so soccer, basketball and other sports bookers also use the same elo systems?

do you have any links to point me to on that?
1456  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Integração do Bing e chatGPT.

1457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: February 03, 2023, 03:37:21 PM
isn't it a bit too early to start a thread about the next world cup? it's 4 years away

Brazil will face Argentina in the finals, craziest game ever ending 2x1 for Brazil with a goal in the last 5 minutes.

tuff story

jokes apart
do we already know where the world cup will take place?
1458  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Integração do Bing e chatGPT.

1459  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals! on: February 03, 2023, 03:10:55 PM
APE is up 53% in the last 83 days and +20% in the last 2 weeks (calculated in eth terms)
so it's not so bad after all

probably not so hard technically to add support for ERC-20 tokens after you support ethereum anyways

I wonder if they'll support more tokens in the future too
