2202  Economy / Gambling / Re: 999dice.com - How to prove their fairness? on: September 12, 2017, 10:32:35 PM
there have been multiple threads on this,999dice is NOT recommended to play at
their provably fair doesn't show until you explicitly open and click on it
this way the server knows if you are checking the rolls or not,i.e. if you don't they are free to give you any combinations of randomly created server seeds each roll
some call them scammers, some say their provably fair is not good enough
I just avoid playing there, thats all
why bother if there are better, trusted alternatives? besides 0.1% House edge sounds like they are making money on something else.... and thats something else could as well be scamming you

That's the sole reason I'm trying to figure out their provable fairness

I've even found out about them through the scam accusation  Cheesy
The button doesn't even exist anymore, you just have to click provably fair once and the hash shows itself with each bet
If it could be proven fair, even with a button, a script could be made to click it and take advantage of the low edge as soon as it IS provably fair
Which it isn't

So, nothing.

Is the coin price of the monaco coin project going up the dev because I see the movement of coin in the market a bit slow and I also hope this coin will penetrate the better market

It's only listed on Novaexchange so far and Nova is down for a few days already so we have no idea
What I don't understand is how the price is changing on coinmarketcap when Novaexchange is down and it's the only exchange with the listing o.o

because nova exchange is still online but isnt accepting registrations.

Not very online to me.

somebody is selling some monacocoins? escrow only please

So, basically in order to verify the bet I shoul use the seed I get after placing the bet, not the one I had prior to it

And since a new seed is generated after each bet and we have no idea how it is generated, 999dice is not provably fair at all.

Does this work?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=950605.msg10407384#msg10407384

The way it works is that you are only given the hashed seed, not the orignal seed before it was put thru a hash script.

Since its impossible to reverese engineer the SHA, the site can give you this seed freely. Because even if it was possible to reverse engineer the seed, you would most likely get private keys or solve Bitcoin blocks instead.

Hence with the hashed seed the casino already knows ahead of time how many bets you will win or lose.

Yeah, I get that, but how do I verify the fairness of bets on 999dice?  Cheesy

It's funny how all of us are defending stake.com while if it was some other site, it would probably get ruined over this  Cheesy
YES, I think this is another scam -_-

Nope.
I just made a comment on the situation, because it is kinda funny xD
But seriously though
I don't think this has anything to do with scamming because he didn't just lose bets he was supposed to win but he also won bets he was supposed to lose
Still though, I think Stunna is one of the most reputable people here and I can bet on it that the poster of the vid will be compensated if he contacts him.
Bugs happen, it's not an excuse though!
Such software should never be published without being thoroughly tested.

I'm not speacialist as well but something is shady here for sure.

Have to note the standard procedure (for similar sites) is that the server seed is given (and not changing) for e.g entire one day. And published next day (and changed of course) so you can verify only bets made day before.

I have tried one thing (which if found quite interesting) in above mentioned post ....  and found the server seed is indeed changing for every bet.

This would not be totaly unfair as long as there would be any way to check fairness of this seed generation (I did not find on which basis this seed generated). So basicaly the admin disguise the fairness into two levels but we have options to check only the first level ...and no clue how to verify the second one ... aka NOT PROVABLY FAIR. My humble opinion.

I don't even understand how to verify the rolls with the given seed  Cheesy
First I'd like to understand that and then I can ask how the seed is even generated  Cheesy

@GOT fans. Suggest me sources of information and spoilers for season 8. It will be a very long wait before we can watch it again but I would like to continue to maintain this thread and keep posting news and other progress made by HBO and the producers.
There are indeed leaks for the upcoming season 8 but according to reports, all of them are fake but without doubt it was really good reading them though, there was lots of deaths in the main characters and there wasn't any Azhor Ahai as a matter of fact.

I hope the wait is worth it and that they make season 8 the best of all seasons.
Yeah, they even took some extra time for Season 7 but tbh it was a little disappointing, the writing was not on point. Yes there were some great action scenes but other than that there wasn't much this season, I'm assuming this is because they don't have GRRM's books to adapt from anymore. I hope they make good use of this time and probably hire some better writers.

The leaks differ every now and then so i'm.noy sure which is legit ans which is just trolling. I'd rather just rewatch the entire season 1 to 7 if i miss the show than search for leaks hat aren't legitimate. There won't probably any until season 8 starts

Why would you even search for leaks that ARE legitimate?
You're just going to lose the pleasure of being surprised while watching the series

I mean if you're betting it's another thing but there's so many fake leaks you can't even be sure Cheesy

I heard some rumours saying that Jaime Lannister would be the only one left standing after they have faced the Night King.

Who did you hear it from? Random dude online?

While the actual roll was [861167]

I thought maybe I'm an idiot and I need the new client seed with the old hash, still a wrong result o.o

What's weird is you won bets you weren't supposed to win too
So, I don't think it's a scam, especially since it's a reputable website
Stake is run by Stunna right? He's one of the most reputable people in the business

Check all their seed in the bet that you want to clearly it's fair. 999dice is good one with low edge so i guess let try another time with your luck ok? Cheesy

Has anyone made any profit with this site? any proof?

Remember when we had newbie jail?  Cheesy Cheesy

Anyways, depends
If you want to lower your risk, you can deposit 1BTC and use Martingale with a base 0.00001BTC bet
100% increase on loss, back to base at win
Auto-roll 50 000 rolls and let it be

You should win, it's not too risky
I mean, it's gambling, ofcourse there's a chance you're going to lose but a 10% increase shouldn't be very risky
Might take more than half an hour lol

I got confused after reading your post. You recommend normal martingale, so it has the normal risks of martingale. In the end you are risking 1 BTC for a base win of 0.00001 BTC. In the long run this will happen eventually, but yes, to do it one or two times, if you are not incredibly unlucky you should be able to do it.

But that is not my question, you say a 10% increase, but in your example you say to increase 100% on loss, so normal martingale. What are those 10% you are talking about?

10% of the deposit, 1BTC---> 1.1BTC
If you start with 0.00001, you can make 16 bets before you lose your deposit
It's going to happen if you keep using it
16 bets aren't unlikely, it's a shit system actually xD
But, if you're only going to go for 0.1BTC profit once, you should be okay, as you said, unless if you're extremly unlucky

Are BKB tokens tradable (or will they be after distribution)? If so, do we know where/how can we buy or sell them?

They're tradable if you find someone willing to buy them  Cheesy
I don't see a reason why Dean wouldn't pay a listing fee for some exchange for the token so it's probably going to be listed on some exchange.
2217  Economy / Gambling / Re: OddEvenBets.com - House edge 1%, Provably fair on: September 11, 2017, 02:56:30 PM
This game is just like tossing a coin && rolling a dice at 49.5%.

Yes this is true and it is much more simple than dice because there is only 2 options odd or even to bet, whether you losing or win. So it is really like playing with chances, mean while dice is playing with numbers and luck. More over they offer some quite bonus each week, so people can get more profit from it

Well, the website is called oddevenbets  Cheesy

A thing that would improve your website is making a wallet on it, so we don't have to spend BTC for transactions fees all the time.
Just one deposit and then gamble.
2218  Economy / Gambling / 999dice.com - How to prove their fairness? on: September 11, 2017, 02:43:00 PM
I'm kind of new to verifying bets and their fairness
I've seen 999dice and I know about their history and everything, but 0.1% is a REALLY low edge

This is what their website says

Quote
Bets are guaranteed to be fair because the seeds for the bet are known before you bet.

The formula is

Server Seed + Client Seed (->byte[4]) + Bet Number (->byte[4])
Double SHA2-512 hash the result
Keep taking groups of 3 bytes and converting to an integer, until a value less than 16 million is found. If you run out of bytes, hash it again and start over.
Find the value's modulus of 1 million
The modulus is the bet result!
You are given the server seed's hash. Once the bet has been placed, the server seed is available, and you can verify the fairness of the bet. For automated bets, all bets are made using the same server seed.

The current server seed hash is c49a6430d7d5d34a8b084186b50bc4a34a56bcd1b30475d2b8816871640fa4e7

So, how exactly do I verify if a bet is fair?

What I need is
1. Server seed - check
2. Client seed - check
3. Bet Number - check

Quote
Double SHA2-512 hash the result
SHA2-512, urghh, does that mean I'm supposed to hash the result of the bet as in 233699 twice on SHA512, what's Double SHA2-512

Quote
Keep taking groups of 3 bytes and converting to an integer, until a value less than 16 million is found. If you run out of bytes, hash it again and start over.

Aaaand, I'm lost.
