Ukraine army conscript, Sergey Paschenko, has got into hot water after publishing a selfie against several Buk-M vehicles he was assigned to guard on his social network page VKontakte.
Blogosphere inhabitants immediately called him “separatist” and “Russian terrorist,” and threatened to kill him. The flow of insults forced Paschenko to delete the photo from his page.
But it was already too late as even the British Daily Mail newspaper in the UK had published an article on him, accompanied by his hapless Buk-M photo.
“Is this the smoking gun? This picture has emerged of a pro-Russian rebel posing in front of the same type of Buk missile launcher that is believed to have shot down MH17,” said the Daily Mail caption to the photo.
Those who pointed out that a Ukrainian soldier cannot be a “Russian terrorist” at the same time were largely ignored.

It was actually a federation during the Soviet time - Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, or RSFSR - the least known republic in the Soviet Union. Or do you want to say that the Western-style Federative structure is crap and USA, Germany, Switzerland should abolish it? As for constitution, Russian Federation is on a road to strengthening it, which displeases a lot of the Western lobby. §15, for example, says that international obligations, commitments and laws have precedents over Russian national laws. This is detrimental to the country and was, for example, used two years ago by the American transnats to push through a law permitting GMO in Russia. A representative from the American embassy was then present at all Parliamentary hearings, making sure that proper decisions were reached. Russia is well on the way to reverse that trend (anti-GMO laws, that equate GMO to nuclear and chemical waste, that are being passed at the moment are a testament to it). The black boxes will clearly not reveal any incriminating evident against the rebel, otherwise they won't have hand it back so easily.
On the other hand it could mean that the rebels have nothing to hide and the evidence is already in the hands of the Russians  Who will be able to prove someone manipulated it if the report says something different (although I don't think its easy to manipulate a black box) Those boxes are sealed. They were reported by the freedom fighters to be in good condition, which probably means that they are not broken, which in turn means that they have no idea what's stored inside. Besides, it's not like you can just open the box and read the data off a harddisk... Expertise at interpreting that data is needed. |

If Putin’s plane were to be shot down – it would mean immediate declaration of war! We know who desperately wants this to happen, and who doesn’t! Of course, Putin’s security would never allow the plane to be flown over Ukraine, but someone there was told/thought it was the case. THEY want Russia to start a war with Ukraine, plain and simple! It is up to Europeans to engage and restore balance and justice, if you want it done quickly and peacefully! Europe, by its harmful and unnatural position of siding with the US warmongers against Russia, which against all odds is trying to keep world peace, is what is allowing this conflict to escalate. IF Europeans didn’t happily acquiesce to the subservient symbiosis with the US, many of the atrocities in Ukraine could have been avoided, and many lives could have been saved. IF EU didn’t support and encourage the Kiev junta, Kiev oligarchs wouldn’t be this bold and US wouldn’t dare escalate the situation so openly. Look what happened in Syria when the EU refused to participate!

It is quite telling to see the amount of Russia bashing in this thread alone, and the fact that Russia, again as usual, has to put itself into a defensive position. In a way Russia-bashers' actions speak against their words. But is it so bad being pro-Russian, history has shown that it's synonymous to being pro-freedom, pro-independence, pro-truth, anti-fascist.
What the fuck Russian has do for freedom for 3 century ? Nothing... Near of all freedom philosopher come from the west. We can start with Tatar-Mongol invasion and the fact that Russia took the brunt of it sparing the Western Europe. We can mention the Polish invasion of 1600, Tevtonic invasion of 1742, the French invasion of 1812, the French-British invasion of 1854, the Polish and Western intervention of 1917-1920, the German invasion of 1940-1945. The WWI is an exception. Russia didn't have any claims in the war, but was obliged to enter it to defend Serbia, which which it had a treaty, and which received an impossible ultimatum from Austria. While the West was philosophising about peace and freedom, and conducting an occasional crusade or an invasion, Russia was busy deflecting said invasion against itself or its allies. “A Ukraine Air Force military jet was detected gaining height, it’s distance from the Malaysian Boeing was 3 to 5km,” said the head of the Main Operations Directorate of the HQ of Russia’s military forces, Lieutenant-General Andrey Kartopolov speaking at a media conference in Moscow on Monday.
“[We] would like to get an explanation as to why the military jet was flying along a civil aviation corridor at almost the same time and at the same level as a passenger plane,” he stated.
“The SU-25 fighter jet can gain an altitude of 10km, according to its specification,” he added. “It’s equipped with air-to-air R-60 missiles that can hit a target at a distance up to 12km, up to 5km for sure.”
