can i connect the psu directly yo the asic with a 2 x 8 pin?

Yes, that is how I had mine setup until I started using the splitters last night to run two miners from one PSU.  You can connect the 8 pin connectors to the miner directly.

i connected it but the light went out...i hope it's not faulty i connected directly the 2 8 pin to the above 8 pin slot

well it doesn't work anymore wasted money...it was indeed faulty, i connected everything correctly, but when i switched off the psu it cut off the power

Are you using a stand alone PSU or one that is in another rig?  If you are using a stand alone PSU did you remember to jumper the mobo connector pins so that the PSU will run stand alone?  Other than that all I can recommend is to double check all your connectors.

1. The USB from the controller to the first board.
2. The Serial cable from one board to the other.
3. 1 PCIE power connection to each board.
4. Make sure to plug in the power cord into the orange pi.

When you first power it on you should see flashing lights on both of the boards while everything passes the POST checks and then start to bring the boards online.  This takes a couple of minutes to complete.  Once they are sync'd and hashing the lights on both boards with stay turned on solid.  You should also see a red light on the orange pi controller, and of course link and data lights on your network interface.

Those are my checklist items I can offer.  If those don't work then reach out to Baikal and I am sure they will get you fixed up.

stand alone connected only to the miner and the electric socket, why i need to jump the mobo? the psu is not connected to the mobo

i followed the video, connected correctly the usb, the serial cable and everything, then i connected the 2x8 pin from the psu directly to the 2x8 slot in the miner, is this correct?

because they send you the yellow splitter which has only one 6 x pin female and two per 6 pin to connect to the miner

i followed this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqykCdIuMJI&t=197s, but instead of the yellow cable with 6x2pin, i plugged directly the psu pcie cable into the miner, maybe this is wrong? but i can't think of why it should be

Unless you have a PSU that can run without the motherboard connected you need to plug in the mobo cable and jumper 2 of the pins to fool the PSU into thinking it is connected to a mobo. Otherwise it will not power up.

what are the psu that can run without a mobo?

I have problem with clock , for example 3 gtx 1070 , first gpu is stuck clock @ 1550 mhz , but second and third gpu is correct overclock up to 1800mhz .

Anyone with this issue ? .
I suppose the first one is driving the display ? Is there some soft running using the video card : chrome or other browser?
I noticed this phenomenom when some video is playing in navigator or other browser...

yeah it's because the gpu downclock itself because of the mode and go p2, very annoying, if you are watching youtube or something else it use standard mode, otherwise gaming mode

2210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why does BTC drop much more sharply then it rises? on: February 28, 2017, 07:42:48 AM
because selling you give more chance to buy back more coins, while buying not, besides hoping for a better shorting in the future

this make shorting more attractive always, over "longing", but it's not always like that, we had many big pump that surpassed the fast dump

I have noticed BTC while overall goes up, in say a run up, it seems to drop really fast....why is this in your opinion?

EVERYONE is trying to get out of their position at the same time when the price begins to drop which exerts yuuuuge downward pressure on the value.

The first time I put money on an exchange to buy Bitcoin, the price began to rise from ~$70 at 9 am and by 11am it was around $270 - scared the shif out of me so I went to bed ( I was working night shift anyway) and when I awoke in the afternoon, it was back down to around $90 again.
True story (though the numbers may not be exact).  The rise was actually much quicker than the drop though the whole episode took less than a day.

Bitcoin never appreciated 300% in 2 hours.

are you sure about 2013? the pump made bitcoin $1200 in two weeks
2211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has the high fees problem changed your behaviour when spending bitcoins? on: February 28, 2017, 07:40:27 AM
yes, i know look more at the size of transaction, and as i said in another post i try to use new wallet to avoid getting many imput and output that woudl increase transaction size

with the lowest possible transaction size you still only pay 40k satoshi, which is affordable, i don't want to pay 100k+ satoshi, which is approaching paypal and make bitcoin look bad...
2212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: February 28, 2017, 07:37:53 AM
simple because they cna't tell how much money you have, i hate that they have full monitoring about my money, and you don't need to pay tax if you don't use your coins

while with fiat the simple holding of a big amount put you in a position to pay taxes, even if you don't use them, which is stupid

another thing that i like over fiat is that i can send the money on weekend, while with bank you can not, which is another stupid limitation, to play with your money on the stock/forex market in the weekend...
2213  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin is Legal in India, What about your country? Check here. on: February 28, 2017, 07:35:02 AM
If I sell 10 btc at today's rate in India and get paid in my bank account, my annual income will become taxable which  currently is not because I am a student.
Should I pay the tax and what should bitcoin sell be showed as in tax documents?
If you don't need that much money fast then the ideal solution for you would be selling BTC in small fragments.
For example: sell 0.5-1 BTC per month. Avoid selling whole 10 BTC at once, big transactions are monitored and will be taxed/investigated.
You can also use bank account of friends and family to mitigate taxing procedures. But it is bending the law, so be careful.

Even if he sells 0.5-1 BTC per month, the year transaction will be taxable and it is not wrong you can show in tax as short term profit and show the profit and pay the tax according to it, until you dont use bitcoin for illegal you should not be in problem.

it's always about if you want to pay the tax and be trouble free or you want to no pay them, because there are way with bitcoin to not pay tax easily, you can do cash face to face or use bitcoin to purchase stuff

people tend to forget that the fiscal agent do not move if the sum they need to seek for apply the possible tax evasion is too low, it costs them money to go after your tax evasion
2214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain spam on: February 28, 2017, 07:30:13 AM
When a company's website has lots of traffic, you don't tell the user's to stop using it, you upgrade the server right?
This is the major difference between centralized and decentralized technologies.
Your advice is for centralized buiseness.

if you think about it, in the centralized environment there is not a single person that take the full decision about a task, for their service, they always consult between 10 people or s

it's not very different than miners deciding about the future of bitcoin, it's just more hard because of 10 people we have 100 that need to decide...
2215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Bitcoin Network Running Smoothly ? on: February 28, 2017, 07:27:38 AM
if having 100k transactions stuck in the mempool for a day or two while having to pay dollars instead of pennies in fees to get your transaction through is considered smooth, then yeah... its been freakin butter.

you can use an accelerator, the trick is to put 2/3 of the fee anyway and plus the accelerator, if you still use 10k satoshi it's obviously that you will get your tx stuck

The governments and big corporations have found the Blockchain is a magical tool to be exploted for commercial gaining while the Bitcoin they think is a threat for banks. I will soon publish the full Bitcoin Deffintion Papers to the attention of the governments and those bankers paricullarly the central bankers. Bankers have nothing to be scared of Bitcoin. Bitcoin and Blockchain are insefarable and Bitcoin is a superior financial product and service system than any other existing financial service system or product. Blockchain is gaining popularity beside Bitcoin is quite interesting but I have discovered a new methods of running unlimited transactions globally with full security and transparency. There will be no confirmation problem at all, as the new protocol will have super computational features involvement for unlimited faster confirmation. It will deffinitely assist the Bitcooin to move forward to the next stage.

not that i really think you are satoshi but...besides the tx problem which is not a real problem, solution are there just consensus is not, what other features we can except to improve bitcoin to a whole new level? automated escrow build in the client for example?

i like that the client one day will have everything, decentralized exchange, built-in escrow, explorer etc...
2216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin fees have quadrupled, and this is just the beginning on: February 28, 2017, 07:02:22 AM
The question is : Are we paying more, because Bitcoin reached capacity or are we paying more because someone is spamming the network to fake congestion for their hidden agenda?

Clearly we have reached capacity -- check the size of blocks, they are all 998, 999 etc.

Then why do the miners avoid activating Segwit or do the hard fork to Bitcoin Unlimited? Instead it is possible that someone from their side is spamming the network. Did last year's halving hurt their profit and earnings?

uh isn't it clear? miner get more fee and more profit, why should activate segwit? the halving hurt their profit, but it's also because of the halving that they have this higher value of bitcoin

they are indeed making more now than ever, regardless of the difficulty

My 470 8GB Nitro does 28.5 MH/s ETH + 285 H/s PASC.

which is not that better than 280 sol in zcash with a single 1060 that consume 100 watt

Before we start the crowdfunding for the Crytopia listing, I want to get the code fixed first. Because even though nobody time cheats anymore people are still constantly mad and somebody is flooding the Payload messages during transactions with hate and threats.

Sometime this week when I have some free time i'll update our wallet to the latest 1.5.1 version.

After that I will get in touch will Albert and come up with a solution to get the time-drift issue fixed once and for all.

... sorry Dude - you are just a copy-cat and no coder - but who ever likes this kind of coin ^^

Tongue

you must be new here if you really believe that investors care about any project here, it's all about pumping and dumping to get as many btc as possible
