According to my knowledge of tanks from movies, if you throw a grenade in the "gun shaft," the entire tank will explode, with the shrapnel killing all enemies in the engagement. Soon after, a white guy with recent battle wounds and a bitchin' name like Max Hardstaff sticks a US flag atop the tank's remains as patriotic music plays. All of the now-liberated dirty brown folk come out of their rubble-homes and cheer for the Americans while a bald eagle flies overhead.

Also - if enough Tibetan monks light themselves on fire, it seems to give members of Chinese resistance groups supernatural brain powers. They can stand in front of tanks and put up some kind of forcefield which stops them. I don't think it works if they're the aggressors, but I don't know.

Hollywood is the best weapon the US has got. No other weapon can brainwash billions of people around the globe. Have doubts? Go and watch In the Land of Blood and Honey  Grin

First lets do these:

1. Hang the Clintons (both Hillary and Bill) for bombing to death thousands of Serbian children, and then lying about it.

2. Hang George Bush for causing the death of 1 million Iraqis.

3. Hang Obama for bullying every nation in the world, other than the US.

Ok, and now count the number of deaths caused by wind farms.

Wind energy is extremely expensive. And it destroys the natural beauty as well. I will not support wind farms, unless they are capable of producing energy at the rate of less than $ 0.02 per KWH.

Here is another bad idea regarding deforestation
http://grist.org/article/2010-04-13-raising-cane-the-trouble-with-brazils-much-celebrated-ethanol-mi/

From the same website celebrating banning climate change deniers on reddit... It must be true then. Wink

That doesn't mean that ethanol is a bad idea. No deforestation should be conducted for cane farming. A lot of fallow and barren land is available for cultivating cane, if irrigation schemes can be implemented properly.

And Brazil is a horrible place. Anyone can cut down the forest and anyone can massacre the tribal people. No one is going to be prosecuted. Lawless country. Entire timber / agricultural industry is in the hands of the organized mafias.

murrica will  never exist  Shocked Shocked

Yes. No USA.  Grin

It may have been disease more than anything else that kept the native Americans from defeating the invaders

A lot of those deaths from disease were actually caused by deliberate biological terrorism. Blankets contaminated with small pox and plague pathogens were gifted to the indigenous people in the USA and Brazil.

Actually colonists in Brazil invented some of the most ingenious methods to exterminate the native population. Some of the methods were:

1. Gifting sugar laced with arsenic or strychnine

2. Dumping dead bodies of people infested with Measles, Small pox and Influenza in native areas.

3. Hold a gathering of natives, on the pretext of peace talks and then ambushing them.

A detailed list can be found hereAngry

Japan has the best technology by far in this whole wide world. This country is so technologically advanced..

Goin to space has nothing to do with technology it has already been done like 60 years ago, japan produces the most gadgets

they are so innovative and they also created the playstation

Hmm... Japanese technology is definitely one of the best. But that doesn't mean that the Japanese space technology is as good as the Russian and American ones. And another thing to remember is that Japan doesn't give much importance to its space programs and the public funding is minimal.
22107  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 12-18-2013 Why I want Bitcoin to die in a fire on: December 20, 2013, 03:27:11 AM
I started a thread in the Discussion sub-forum about it. I'm still depressed about this.

I don't see any need to be depressed. I will never lose my faith in Bitcoin, and therefore I will ignore idiots such as Stross. Perhaps he is trying to achieve some publicity, even if it is massively negative in nature.
22108  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 12-18-2013 Why I want Bitcoin to die in a fire on: December 19, 2013, 04:21:10 PM
Looks like the article was written by someone from the Bankers association.  Angry

Quote
Like all currency systems, Bitcoin comes with an implicit political agenda attached. Decisions we take about how to manage money, taxation, and the economy have consequences: by its consequences you may judge a finance system. Our current global system is pretty crap, but I submit that Bitcoin is worst.

Do we have any negative political agenda? Our only agenda is to stop the exploitation of the hard working common man by the bankers and financiers.

And is Bitcoin the worst? Laughable. This guy doesn't know a bit about BTCs.

Really shocking that he got 250+ comments.

It was already successful It's called like the Jade something if you want to look it up

Yes. They have landed the unmanned vehicle on the lunar surface. But are they capable of successfully conducting a manned lunar mission?

I would go back to A.D. 1400. I will give weapons to Native Americans, so that when the conquistadors come to butcher them, the Indians kick the invaders in the a$$.
22111  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you get naked for bitcoins? on: December 19, 2013, 04:02:29 PM
If we think the human body is degrading, then we have bigger issues

Different people will interpret it differently. Here, the body is exposed in order to receive bitcoins. Some might say it is a work of art. Some might say that it is just another way of earning money. Some might even say that it is prostitution or porn.
22112  Other / Off-topic / Re: If bitcoin had a smell,how would it smell like? on: December 19, 2013, 03:58:53 PM
It will have the smell of the toxic fumes emerging out of your super-heated ASIC mining rig. You just have to keep a mining rig on your room....  Grin You will never forget the smell (and also the heat and the noise).
22113  Other / Politics & Society / Re: As a deflationary currency, is Bitcoin the right answer? on: December 19, 2013, 03:56:11 PM
So what is the solution for creating a just society where the wealth gap isn't constantly increasing? Because progressive taxation hasn't worked, and if our current society switched to BTC, it would simply move the concentration of wealth to a different (arguably even smaller than now) group of people.

The current society will not switch solely to BTC. Other assets, such as land and bullion will also be having their fair value. So we are creating a new subset of wealthy people, not replacing a group of millionaires with another.
22114  Other / Politics & Society / Re: On the topic of climate change... on: December 19, 2013, 03:54:45 PM
Such a right does not exist.

It is not for you to decide.

I'm not having any children - my bloodline ends with me.  Why should I deny myself use of the planet so that someone else's children can use it instead?  I have just as much right to use it as they do.  It's unfortunate that use of the planet pollutes said planet, but everyone does it.

Because the planet is not your sole property. Some 7 billion plus people, and trillions of other living organisms have the right to live on it. You are most welcome to destroy something that you have the sole ownership of. But as far as clean air and drinking water is concerned, you have no authority or permission to destroy them.  Grin
22115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's help this nation establish Bitcoin! on: December 19, 2013, 03:51:16 PM
Oh come on gortonc why shall we give a helping hand to bitcoin like it is just a highly volatile currency I have ever seen 1 day it’s above 1000USD while other day its worth is slashed to less than 500USD. Bitcoin is a simple joke which shall doom without my hand at least. If you need to sink then hold bitcoin tightly.

You know what... no one was complaining when BTC went from $15 to $250. And no one was complaining when it went up from $70 to $1,200. Then why blame it when it declines from $1,200 to $480?

Volatility is really a bad thing. But merchants can avoid this problem by immediately converting the BTCs to USD or any other fiat currency.
22116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting around a government ban on BTC on: December 19, 2013, 03:49:26 PM
That volume number is misleading.  A lot of trades are arranged by localbitcoins.com, but do not use their wallet, but simply go P2P.  Those don't get counted towards volume.

Are there any volume estimates available for Localbitcoins? I really suspect whether their volumes are as large as Mt Gox and BTC-E. Most of the large traders stay away from Localbitcoins. It is mostly used for low volume trades.
22117  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin Nation on: December 19, 2013, 03:46:51 PM
China is full of smog and just took their first trip to the moon I think they might try to colonize soon

Chinese technology is not as much advanced as the American and Russian ones. God knows whether their lunar mission will be successful or not.
22118  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you get naked for bitcoins? on: December 19, 2013, 03:12:10 PM
For one million bitcoins, sure I'll do that.

That's a billion dollars for doing nothing more than showing a naked picture of yourself.

Everyone has the right to voice their opinion. But as far as I am concerned, I am not ready to degrade myself for money. For me, the peace of mind is worth much more than 1 billion USD. Have you people ever thought what will happen if your family members find out what you are willing to do?

I am currently earning some $450 per month, and I have to work for 10-12 hours a day. But I am happy with what I got. I have faith in my talent and capability. I am sure that one day I'll be able to live a comfortable life, without exposing myself online.  Grin
22119  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How Bitcoin/Crypocurrencies will lessen the rich - poor divide on: December 19, 2013, 03:00:37 PM
Things would be much fairer if people just paid for the services they need.

Never going to happen. People will start complaining that the poor are being side-lined.  Grin

Pretty much how things are now then. The heavily-taxed middle class pays the people who protect the wealthy.

The best idea is to reduce the income tax overall. The rich pays much more (in percentage) taxes as compared to the middle class.

And the best way to reduce the income tax is to reduce the government expenses. Stop giving handouts to people who can work. Giving handouts to handicapped people is understandable. But why give them to those who can work? Also don't indulge in expensive wars outside your home country for silly reasons.
22120  Other / Politics & Society / Re: On the topic of climate change... on: December 19, 2013, 02:53:47 PM
Regardless of who you think benefits, deforestation is still a bad idea.

Definitely it is. Unfortunately we are not able to prevent it or even to slow the rate down in many parts of equatorial Africa, Asia and South America.

The replacement of primary forest with timber plantations is also another bad idea, as it kills the biodiversity.
