2221  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Sovryn - Brings DeFi to Bitcoin on: February 06, 2021, 08:02:38 AM
- The "browser wallets" are a terrible choice, they are all browser extensions that are not safe at all to install on your browser. The project should support regular desktop wallets such as Electrum.

I think it is really safer if they at least have their own wallet makers per user. Yet, the trading platform[1] also states that they only run in alpha version, so we should expect a constant upgrade soon, and hopefully they would take the suggestions in this thread a consideration to those upgrades.

Will Bitcoin be traded or some tokens like WBTC? If we were talking about WBTC, that is a bad news.
If you can build on the second layer of Bitcoin, then I believe that the contract must be closed and then trust in the second party (not the Bitcoin network,) in general if you can, why not be a gateway to most altcoins and not ETH.

I also did not like the design of the site, as it is closer to magazines and not trading platforms.

Indeed. I think they haven't really done a successful DeFi-ed Bitcoin bridge and might end up only be using WBTC. And yes, their overall design doesn't really fit to what they wanted to portray on the users. My first thought was it is a comic book website or morelikely to be an art platform. Hopefully, they fix everything well according to their main purpose and idea.
2222  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading bot vs. you -> who's better? on: February 05, 2021, 11:00:38 AM
Hi,
Still learning trading tips&trick and now I reached this chapter of trading with bots.

What's your experience? Did the bot perform better than you? What's your monthly profit (%) via bot compared to the one without it?

thanks

Actually, there is no fine line between the use of bot over the performance of a trader - hence you cannot really compare those. Apparently, there's no doubt that most traders and their experience is way better. Bots could never really run well and make profit without the trader's manual setting to it, while trader can use bots at anytime he wish so. Therefore, bots cannot really function that pretty well without the intermediate knowledge and risks adjustments of a trader. One must not engage on using bots, without being a great trader first.

You might find little to less answers on what is the monthly profit using bot, as almost no one really relies and risks their profits with it. Take note that crypto is a volatile market, one wrong reading would make you lose tons.

looking for realistic dice site
like the one in this pic
https://prnt.sc/yazdb1

stake had it but they stopped . i dont know why

There are tons of reasons that many gambling platform developers and even the other users might find such games a bad visualization of dice games just for an online gambling. Things must be considered:

1. Doing it requires more data of sending and receiving, for it to be viewed and/or(if they made it a video then randomized it playing)
2. It is too old-ish for a UI in a constantly changing UI/UX design preference in many platforms -- including gambling.
3. And, if it would be done using only CSS and some animation through coding, it would take months just to fully flourish its animation to be smooth and not look ugly.

Yolodice, that focused also on dice games, never tried to do it yet still run to be a successful platform. Even in years of trying many gambling platforms, I found no one that tried and kept such visualization in dice games.

2226  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Withdraw problem on HITBTC on: January 29, 2021, 04:57:27 PM
I do have Dogecoin in my HITBTC account worth $25 but I can't withdraw, I would like to know what's the minimum amount of doge before I can withdraw it?

I would only suggest that if it would require you a KYC for a 25USD worth of Doge coin - which only was increasing due to a hype, better not take the risks unless you've bought 25 for a 25000 dogecoins at its first release. But if it didn't, better not take the risk of submitting your personal info to a platform that you would soon not use right after you've withdrew your funds. Also, if your account was inactive for years, expect a longer period of time on fulfilling your verification processes, and we might never know what happen to the price of dogecoin at that time.
2227  Other / Archival / Re: 1000 Bitcoin Hero Members Association on: January 29, 2021, 04:24:15 PM
I guess they will be kicked out  Grin. I also have a question, how is a member a creator of a club that targets Hero Members? Isn't that a little ironic? Why not explain the project here? What is the point of organizing the Hero Members of the forum into one organization? What if there is already 1k members and another 1 wants to join, will you kick someone out? What if there is only 800 hero members in the forum, will it still be 1000 Bitcoin Hero Members Association?

AFAIK there are more than 800 Hero Members in here but only less were active and still remains as Hero. There are Sr. Members that ranks up every month hence 1000 Hero Members can still be possible. Cannot really find a statistical thread that could show the exact number (I've searched for an hour and had a hard time finding). And honestly, I don't get your humour with your last argument. But your points were fine. The OP seems to just be entitling his dream association with a cool "one-thousand" phrase in the beginning, and not really meant it to be a number.

The OP is already  red-tagged by nullius with a strong reasoning behind. That's enough reason for us to not give a damn anymore with this Moses that doesn't want to divide the sea and instead wanted to combine the hero members lol.
2228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Newbie gambling sites on: January 29, 2021, 03:35:10 PM
There are numerous ways to find respectable gambling websites just by your own. You might not be noticing, but the only thing you need to do when looking for a trusted and safe gambling websites is to simply look at those long term running campaigns in this forum. A long run of advertisement simply means that they still kept having a full control to the clients that play on their websites and still pays over the number of their campaign participants in this forum. Here is a list of active campaigns now which you can do a little research what would you prefer the most[1].

I don't know why there are other people that hates certain gambling platforms that still runs and operates in the current time. People have a variety of opinions and preferences, it all depends on the OP on what suggestion he would trust.

As for me, I would of course suggest you consider trying Yolodice as I've played there for months and years which I personally have no issues with so far.  Grin

2229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk adds #Bitcoin to his Twitter bio on: January 29, 2021, 02:58:22 PM
Ever since the billionaire becomes a bitcoiner he does nothing more except promote btc on his social media handle, this must be a new found love for him, with Elon Musk on btc corner we should expect a ballistic price pump in coming days  Cool
Let the guy shill btc some more, it is good for business Wink

Apparently, Elon Musk is already a crypto guy even before he reached the midst of his success. And no, shilling a volatile market like BTC doesn't even have a single impact to his business and shilling it to people and could spark the hype would only ruin the lives of those whom just got onto crypto world and FOMO-ed by this series of events. Yes it would pump, but its support really isn't that kinda strong to jump onto conclusion that it would reach another ATH.

This event has its consequences. Many would sell with this sudden pump and people - whom just invested because of this, would soon be left hanging and losing their money because of hype.
2230  Economy / Reputation / Re: I do not trust br0ken account on: January 28, 2021, 02:15:40 PM

So, I am guessing that br0ken likely want to scam because he created the thread and locked it immediately. He may be someone that will request for the part of the password or seed phrase that the person that need the service still have access to and use it to steal the cryptocurrencies from the person. I think this kind of thread should be reported and deleted.

It is a self-moderated topic so we don't know if there are already arguments in that thread that was deleted by the OP or any accusations. Though he already have a red-tag by @BanzaiBTC, this doesn't count to be a valid reference for this new accusation. Still, just by looking at br0ken's thread, it is a huge scam and an offer anyone must never take. There are already many servers and services online that is reputable for this kind of business. Also for an additional note, RTX 3070 is a newly released GPU yet it doesn't mean that having 5 of it can break an 8-character and above passphrase. It's computing speed still isn't enough for that huge range lol.

Since you've started this accusation, you might add a flag on him and let others - whom agreed to you, supports it.
2231  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cryptoroo - A site to view the latest 5-min price changes for most exchanges on: January 28, 2021, 12:44:58 PM
Cool website! If I were to suggest, I'd make it straightforward;

1. Make the crypto pairs in bold fonts as it is a title indicator for a certain row. A 500 font-weight is enough.
2. Adding crypto's logo is a cool feature as well, you can fetch it through different API if the API you use doesn't respond with a logo. Coingecko's API have so you might try it if you would add this feature.
3. Can you try making it having a live update? I've tried waiting for 5 mins to see if it will change but it didn't (or it is just my network connection?)
4. Move the cookie prompt at the bottom.
5. And lastly, how about dark mode? Some traders often tend to have their trading environment in a dark mode. Making this tool to have such feature would be a huge plus.
2232  Economy / Services / Re: looking for php developer to fix somethings on: January 28, 2021, 11:35:55 AM
again looking for someone thanks

There are tons of developer here but cannot really risks the work for an anonymous offer. If you want a quality developer that would fulfill your offer within a timeframe, better try Fiverr or Upwork, since it shows good freelance developers with reviews and the payment is based upon the on the developer's price and agreement. Another way is if it was a bug, try making a bug bounty campaign which you can do here in the forum. Jobs offers like this often have less attention as many dev users in here aren't freelancers.
2233  Economy / Gambling / Re: Discord, TIP.CC, and PokerNow.Club for No Rake Poker with Bitcoin on: January 26, 2021, 05:00:47 PM

This bot allows you to set a member of your Discord to be the "cashier".  Anytime a member tips this "cashier" user with bitcoin via the TIP.CC bot, the Poker Now Bot gives out an equal amount of chips for the Poker Now Club games that can be created over the discord server!

If this is true that the PokerNow gives chips just thru the discord server, your bot must have a connection or a bridge to the PokerNow platform itself, nor have an approved integration from your bot onto their system. One flaw I see in this is that your bot would simply be unnecessary as the PokerNow itself already integrates such feature whereas the users can interact just on their platform -- through either chat or a video call (as posted in their website). And if this would literally be for 'tipping' purposes, I guess tip.cc enough to do that work, unless you've really managed to connect your bot on PokerNow's system.

I don't really want to risk to test this out, yet.

Poker Now allows to use their site without discord, however, if you add their discord bot to your server, it makes a "Poker Now Club" where only the admin of the room can give and take chips from members of the server (through the poker now bot)

I will be taking a video of the bot in action shortly to show how the system works as it is a bit complicated as it takes 3 total bots to run.  PokerNow Bot, TIP.CC Bot, and my bot

edited -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4CAe8dwBes

So basically your BOT is just simply running a simple PokerNow bot command after a tip right? And it only runs a tip depending of course on how much tip was sent to the cashier and how many there are in a server. I'll be real here, using PokerNow in discord really is a good feature, especially with TIP.cc integrated with it as well (for a richer poker games experience), But adding another bot that would only do is to divide/rebate the users with the tip received by the cashier, would even be necessary as you can even set an admin that could simply run the Pokernow command.

It's really good to see some people making bots that is integrated in gambling. I just wanted to criticize everything as clearly as possible especially that you still haven't build any trust nor reputation in this forum. Many people can be scammed with a simple script/bot. I don't intend to publish any hate to your work. It's just natural in this forum that certain things like this must be criticized so well. I hope you get my point. Overall, still a good job, but we need to learn more to be safer.

Can I enter with sculpture?
As far as I understood about the fineprint with the current contest, there is no definite categories of art that you can submit unlike from the previous contest as long as you incorporate Roobet's Logo or Mr. Roo itself in your art piece -- that's fine.

You can find your unique ID by logging in to account Profile --> Settings. You can also see your username in that area.

2237  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Earning Bitcoin whilst maintaining private keys on: January 24, 2021, 02:53:28 PM

Just wondering what might be the best way to earn more bitcoin if you have a bit and want your money to start working for you.

Apparently, there are only three possible things you can do to have a passive income -- ways that your money would work for you. It's either you

  • Invest in crypto (HODLING) -- which would have a lesser risk as some popular cryptos nowadays do have strong volume and support, but still DYOR before engaging with it. Investing would still not be a huge income generator as it would depend on the growth of the crypto you've invested on.
  • Copy-trade -- which would somehow require KYC like in E-toro but is beneficial for long term passive income. Same as with investing, but this is investing on the capability of the trader you are copying. If he is bad and just burning his money, you'll end up being the same.
  • Mutual-funds -- this is the safest, as it relies in Stock Market (usually) and how strong a company you are investing your funds is. Risky, but not as risky as crypto.

Overall, it would still depend on you're choices and risk appetite on which risks you think you can handle.
2238  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Nakamoto: A new Bitcoin light-client in Rust on: January 24, 2021, 01:49:18 PM
Hey all, I'm new here. I thought some of you would be interested in a new Bitcoin light-client I've been developing over the last six months. It's focused on low resource utilization and privacy, and written in Rust.

More details here: https://cloudhead.io/nakamoto/, code here: https://github.com/cloudhead/nakamoto.

Just had a little confusion with the privacy part, (correct me if I'm wrong as I don't really interact with the Bitcoin Core) wouldn't that affect the overall idea of the client? I mean it is meant to be that private enough where only certain info from the client are public, is there a flaw nor a weak idea with that?

Cool thing that you've managed to integrate it with Rust, and I guess ETFbitcoin is pertaining on what Python version (2 or 3 and its specific releases) as some clients are using Python, in which way different with Rust.

I think hindi rin masama kung mag gain access ka sa VIP for only $30 may matututunan ka rin namang aral doon at marami pa.
Much better kung may mga tanong po kayo from the previous speakers and you feel the need for clarification. Isa pa, madami din naman perks bukod sa lifetime access, magiging eligible ka din sa mga raffle, live trading session, saka makakasama ka sa live question and answer. But then, okay na ako sa free pass LOL.

This day nailabas na yung second set of speakers and pwede nang panoorin. Mawawala na yung recorded videos nung mga nauna since I am also just using free pass.
