2221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 20, 2023, 06:53:54 PM

Finally, we don't need to worry anymore that this fight was only pure hype. Now, it is already official as they already signed a contract, so let's all be excited for one of the biggest fight this year. Maybe they are starting to train now, getting in shape, and hoping they'll be 100% in the actual fight.

I'm looking at the poll result now, there's more voters favored Davis to win, well, I'm on the other side.  Smiley

I consider this a legacy fight between the two fighters, before this coming fight there are no boxers on each other resume that match the power and skill of both fighters, hopefully, this will be the start of a blockbuster year in boxing, where undefeated champions with equal skills fight each other regardless of their promotions.
This fight will not happen if Mayweather is still the manager of Tank, he did the right thing in getting rid of Mayweather who just wants to milk Tank by fighting low-level fighters.

He cares for his legacy that's why he leaves Mayweather, pushing his limit and fighting a fighter that people think has a chance of beating him. I like if all boxers who have the same standing as Davis will do the same, imagine how happy the fans will be as they will be getting the best value of their money.

That goes to say that Tank Davis is indeed intelligent and wise enough to leave the room because he already feels that he knows already what Mayweather could teach to him, it was a good contract but now he is standing on his own and building his own promotional company to maximize his share and profits in every fight he partakes. He surely knows that staying in a single promotional company won't give him the dreams he wanted.

Yeah, now that he is on its own, the value for money is good, unlike with Mayweather the cut still hurt his paycheck, and moving
back to the topic. I like the way he decided or both of them decided to bring this fight inside the ring.

The value for the money if you are a fan is really worthy. You'll go to watch both undefeated fighters who still bring their names up.

The winner of this fight will dictate the possible rematch and for sure the cash rewards will be more different..

I bet Tank Davis already had this situation in his mind that one day he will severe all his ties with Mayweather to build his own promotional company to maximize his income, that's why in his recent fights, we are seeing some GTD logo which became the name of his promotions now.

Regarding about the possible rematch, did Golden Boy revealed some details about their contract which indeed tells that there will be a possible rematch depending on the outcome of the fight? Rematch clause will indeed be useful in these kind of situation where both fighters can attract audience to make another money fight while solving their rivalry, but again, still depends of the outcome of their 1st fight.

How about LeBron James’ triple double last night. Amazing that he’s still able to put up such huge numbers with 0 turnovers. He’s one of only three guys to ever score 45+ over the age of 35 and he’s done it more times than the other 2 combined. He’s a medical marvel the way he’s able to perform at his age. Truly something special to watch that will be looked back on someday the way we look back at Michael Jordan’s time in the league.

I can't honestly say that I'm surprised about it despite his age because the man has been pouring so many efforts since he was drafted in the NBA and his vision is so wide that he already set-up his goals since then, that's why we are seeing him investing millions worth of dollars towards his body so that he can stay fit and healthy throughout his whole career. In fact, I've haven't heard that he suffered some serious injury in his entire career that made him waste a single season. LeBron James is truly a one of a kind in his generation and a legend in the league.

He is wise investing with his health and look what he is harvesting right now, at his current age and still has that performance which is, really
something that his fans will cherish once he has already retired his jersey.

Fans will remember him as an alpha of his generation, a prime player who dominated the game where talents are really being competes by many
names around the league.

His legacy will be remembered with prime stars like Magic,Bird and Kobe and Jordan.

He is wise indeed! But I'm really curious if the Los Angeles Lakers will be the end of his road and will be the team to officially retire his jersey because at the back of my mind, I'm also thinking that he might choose to retire with the Cleveland Cavaliers, where his home team is and where he get drafted. Anyway, we still have a few more years to enjoy LeBron James greatness, so let's cherish it while he's still active and hopefully he can add one more ring.
2223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: January 20, 2023, 04:30:12 PM
The Crawford thing is a matter of time, he is a boxer who has known how to be patient, I don't think he will despair, Spence has to do something, I already believe that the enthusiasm of this meeting has diminished thanks to his negativity.

Might be best for now to forget about the Crawford-Spence fight because the chances of happening the said bout is getting slimmer and slimmer as months and days goes by. Spence and Al Haymon is getting very unpredictable these days, all silent about their move and stuff and boom, the whole world is suddenly surprised because they made another circus in the industry with of course the blessing of the corrupt governing bodies.

Congrats kabayan at saka good luck sa bet mo bukas.

2225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: January 19, 2023, 07:23:04 PM
Here's what Yarde has to say about the fight, he wanted to go for a knock out:

Quote
"Fact. That is what I'm trying to say. I don't think it is to do with anyone but myself. I had a mindset when I started boxing and, the second I tried to change it or listen to people asking if I could go 12 rounds, I went away from what I knew.

"I know why the Kovalev fight didn't go my way, I know why the fight didn't go my way in the amateurs, I know why they gave the decision to Lyndon Arthur in the first fight.

"When all these things happened, it was when I went against my natural instinct and what I said I was going to do from the beginning.

https://www.boxingscene.com/yarde-looking-points-beterbiev-fight-he-wants-ko--171850

So meaning he want's to go 100% and look for a knockout in this fight. He doesn't want to go full 12 rounds because he knows he might get the short end of the deal again just like in his amateur fights and some on the professional ranks.

Let's see if he has want it takes to knockout the Russian here, no one has done it before though, just saying. So it will be very different for Yarde to do that unless he hurt Beterbiev very hard and then he goes for that knockout.

Well, he said it himself and provide facts indeed. The Kovalev fight didn't go his way and his amateur fights didn't go his way as well, so, the big question here is, what makes him think that defying a Russian-Canadian monster will go into his way? And why this time when he faced a much weaker opponent but still fate didn't go his way? Things are getting funnier while the fight date is getting nearer and nearer.

Probably just his self-confidence though, I mean every boxer has this idea that they can defeat anyone in the ring, even if it has a 0 lost and has been knocking down his opponents.

And it could he could larger and boost his psychology that he can defeat him because the fight is going to be in his country, so he has what we call homecourt advantage but not sure if this is true in boxing. So yeah, we will see if he has what it takes, I mean accepting it shows that he has big balls already, but facing him in the ring could be different for Yarde when he taste the first punch of Beterbiev.

Probably there's a little percentage of advantage when you're fighting at your own soil because you know that people are there to cheer for you and backing you for your win, but the visiting boxer is not that new in this kind of setting as well especially to veteran boxers as at this point, they are already accustomed to the situation already. But the thing is, Yarde may have the homecourt advantage, but the pressure is also quite big because you're representing your country at your own soil and people are expecting some positive results for it.

Lakers -2
Wolves +9 And ML.

Malamang madami kapang spare funds dyan kasi grabi yung arangkada mo nung isang araw Grin

@danherbias07 I got the Lakers on that game and I was so confident that they will win at home. They had a good start but when Kings came back, they don't control the momentum anymore. Lakers are outrebounded and some roles players are not contributing well, of course, Kings are the better team as they are winning more games than the Lakers, but Lakers are at home, so that's a good advantage for them.

Anyway moving forward.

Seems like almost everyone here was divided in the Lakers vs Kings game, well, I can't say that I expected this outcome but I somehow managed to bet on the Kings ML even knowing that Sabonis won't be around against the Lakers because there a part of me saying that Lakers is not that good even at home. I was pretty sad at first to see how the Lakers led the game in the first half but it's good to see that the Kings managed to turn the table.

Quote
Warriors visiting the Boston tomorrow, I guess I'll go with the stats, Boston -6.5 is going to be my bet.

This is a good game, I'll watch and bet on this live. It'll be good to ride with the Warriors ML because Jaylen Brown will not play tomorrow.
2230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is ok to sell your Bitcoin. on: January 18, 2023, 08:46:56 PM
I've been in this crypto space for a while now and there is this mentality instilled in people that seems selling ones coin is bad and one is heading to failure which is very wrong at least from my perspective.
I've always been on the track that investing in Bitcoin simply means buying low and selling high,  which I think is one of the keys to success in the crypto Industry. I always tell people that the moment you buy at a certain price and it starts rising possibly to a price that you feel ok and contented with, then you should feel free and confident to sell atleast to get the profit first and always use stop loss just incase the price drops, rather than having a little portion of Bitcoin and letting it get liquidated just because you want to preach and prove HODLing, trying not to feel odd.
So my question is:
~ Do people hodl just because others are HODLing?
~ Why do people hodl rather than sell and buy again when low
~ What is your major reason for HODLing and how do your survive the bear market?

You've been here in this space for quite some time already, right? If so, I really do think you that already figured out the answers to your questions OP, you just don't acknowledge the answers yourself because you are only inclined to buy low and sell high. Just try to see the whole picture sometimes that buying low and selling high is not the only way to get profits.
2231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: January 18, 2023, 08:17:14 PM
Errol Spence Jr vs. Keith Thurman sanctioned by WBC

Quote
By Adam Baskin: Errol Spence Jr’s fight against Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman at 154 in April will reportedly be sanctioned by the WBC as a mandatory defense for Errol’s welterweight title with the organization. To be sure, it doesn’t make much sense for the WBC to sanction Spence’s non-title fight at junior middleweight as counting as a mandatory defense for his 147-lb belt, but it’s being done.

Source: https://www.boxingnews24.com/2023/01/errol-spence-jr-vs-keith-thurman-sanctioned-by-wbc/

This got me really confused, why would the WBC sanction a mandatory defense of Errol Spence if he doesn't have any titles that belongs at 154 pounds? I mean, is this a new thing now, that someone could take their belts at the next division and have a title defense? I guess, I'm not the only one here who got questions because I think this is the first time I've been hearing about this kind of situation.
2232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 17, 2023, 08:10:09 PM
It appears that Tank vs. King Ry will end very much similar to Crawford vs. Spence. They avoid each other because they are afraid that losing would affect their attractiveness to promoters and lower their demanding price during contract negotiations. This is very bad for the fans and very bad for the sport of boxing. The best boxers should be fighting against the other best boxers. Boxing's only chance for the greatest superfights on 2023 might only be from Naoya Inoue.

I don't know if both are being really protected by their promoters, or the boxers themselves are afraid to have their 0 gone. We've seen a lot of great boxers, who lost their 0 and yet still the cash cow, for instance Canelo Alvarez or even Manny Pacquaio. I think still boils down to money and the purse split and which network are going to carry this fight.

I agree, however, not all boxers can have similar careers as Canelo and Pacman and look at who Canelo and Pacman fought. Also, whatever happens Canelo and Pacman have become known names already. I reckon Tank and King Ry are not much known outside the world of boxing.

In any case, the skeptical me thinks that this ultimatum is Golden Boy's trick to withdraw from the deal. The reason, yes, I said it already. Golden Boy can make more money from Ryan Garcia with an undefeated record than with a loss in his record.

Yes, it could be a trick by Golden Boy to force Tank and his handlers for a sign deal. But they also have this experience as well, with Al Haymon at the top of it. So it's not as easy as it sound for Golden Boy to go into public and issue an ultimatum.

Let's see what the other party will do, for us there is not need to delay this fight again.

We want been hype with this one since last year and by now we should have at least some info as where the fight is going to be.

What Al Haymon? Did Tank Davis recently signed a contract under PBC? If so, that ultimatum that Golden Boy provided in his social media won't really work because we already know how Al Haymon works and Oscar might not want to provoke Al Haymon as his cow's preparation might be wasted because Tank's side might suddenly pull out.
2233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 17, 2023, 07:37:05 PM
After the last matches, I was convinced. Denver plays very well even without Jokić. I think they are the undisputed favorites on the West side. Memphis is also doing very well, but other teams are far behind them.
Boston is also doing incredible work in the East. I think they are ready for the championship this year mentally. Tatum, Brown and Smart play very well and have reduced the errors from last season.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see the Denver vs. Boston final this year. In fact, this would be the most logical choice for long-term betting. Of course, I couldn't see which sites give this bet and at what odds. If odds are worth playing, it can be tried.
That's if they can avoid injuries, especially the Boston Celtics. Brown and Tatum are a duo that cannot be separated, there are times one is off night while the other is having a good one. It will be crucial for them to have both of these players in the playoffs and the Finals. 7th winning streak for them with Brown missing 3 of those games, luckily, 2 games are against the Hornets and 1 against the Brooklyn Nets Durant-less.

Denver Nuggets on the other hand is a great team and they are doing better than last year. The twist will be when the playoffs happen, they cannot slack off anymore as this could be their best chance for a championship with a complete roster and strong bench.

If this match-up happens, it'll be more interesting to watch and it will attract more audience because people will be seeing new faces unlike in the past seasons, although this match-up is not yet sure to happen soon but the chance is good that they will be the ones who will face at the Finals. Denver Nuggets is now a heavier team than what they are last season while the Celtics is already marinated enough to be battle ready in the upcoming games of the post-season.

Clippers -9.5
Detroit Pistons ML
Bulls ML

Congrats kabayan, pumasok ang Clippers and Bulls ML mo..

Hornets +8.5
Cavaliers -6.5 `
Raptors +3    `
Warriors -2.5 `
Hawks ML     `
Suns +10 and ML
Jazz ML  `
Rocckets +6.5

Grabe ka talaga kabayan, sure na sure maganda ang araw mo kanina kasi may limang lumusot out of 9 bets na ginawa mo at dalawa na dyan ang napakatamis at napakalusog na Atlanta Hawks ML and Utah Jazz ML Cool Congrats sayo kabayan!
At syempre salamat na din kasi nakasabay pa sa Jazz at Hawks ML hehe. Ano maya ulit, may apat na laro ata. Trip ko ang Raptors ML.

If the story is actually true, then that's a fantastic result for the player. Still, I think this is purely about advertising he wants to make for the sportsbet site.
Why would someone post how much money they won on a gambling site? If I had won that much, I would prefer to keep it to myself. I certainly wouldn't want other people to find out that I would have won that much money. You can only risk it that way. Well, maybe people think differently. 1.4 million is a lot of money, by the way. Will gambling sites actually pay that to players?
I think this is all about advertising the sportbet because I don't see any need why someone will post the amount of their winning online, any way he may not be at risk posting in this forum since no one knows each other personal identity.

But then this is a good win for the ops after a ling time of gambling without winning such an amount.

Let's just appreciate the OP's post and understand him because he's just saying his side. And it's rare to see this kind of post that contains actual big figures for betting in a specific month. Besides, I don't really see such risk here even if OP will post that he had over a million dollar bet. Just wondering though, OP, did you really get upset because you haven't got the $100 Bonus bets? I'm just curious about it because it's just a tiny amount compared to what you've been giving to them.

I was not able to bet on the early games.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Houston Rockets @ 2.75

Los Angeles Lakers (19-24) will host the Hoston Rockets (10-33) tonight at Crypto.com Arena. The Lakers lost yesterday by a point against the Philadelphia 76ers and will be rearing to win this game.

I like this pick actually because everyone is probably thinking that Lakers would win tonight because they are up against a weak team. Both teams are very desperate, Lakers so desperate to improve their ranking to qualify in the play-in, while the Rockets so desperate to break their cold streak.

This specific bet just shows and proves how really poor is the Lakers now because even me, I almost took the same bet because the Lakers aren't really that consistent enough to continue the lead and close the game despite showing an improvement to their stats in the past weeks.

We only have 4 games later, maybe some bettors here will just take a pass and rest for a day but for me, I'll take and bet 3/4 games later.

Toronto Raptors ML @ 2.60
Brooklyn Nets -5 @ 1.91
Denver Nuggets -6.5 @ 1.91

Good luck @Botnake, dami niyan ah..

I'm expecting a close game in 4th quarter when Ginebra starting to miss their 3s and Bay Area slowly closing in but Gin Kings is able to maintain a 2-digit lead. Bay Area struggles in the free throw line until 4th quarter. Jamie Malonzo's points in 3rd quarter really helped Ginebra a lot. I'm expecting more from Bay Area. I'm kinda disappointed, there's no much help from other players. Still, Congrats to bettors of Ginebra.

Bay are just playing their game, they don't have a bad game actually, it's just that Ginebra are suddenly becoming a very good team, they do it at the right timing, their shooting percentage is very high, and not only Brownlee who are contributing, the locals are also giving their best to have a good lead.

Yes, Bay Area were able to trim the lead of Ginebra, courtesy of Myles Powell, but that charge was still short though, Ginebra still win the game.

M. Fultz 4+ assists / F. Wagner 1+ steal @1.90

I fully expect Nuggets to take care of biz against Orlando and regardless of the score (blowout or not) Fultz and Wagner should see 25 to 30 minutes each.  Nuggets are giving 4th most assists to opposing point guards on the season, Fultz is averaging just over 6/L7 and has covered 4+ assists in 7/L7.  F. Wagner is averaging almost 2 steals /L7, with 4 steals against Utah just the other day. Nuggets are giving 2nd most steals to opposing power forwards...looks like the perfect matchup, or should i say mismatch.

Let's see which one of these two brings this prop down...Lol

Orlando needs to come back in the 2nd half, otherwise, Nuggets will just easily blow them out.

Thus far, F. Wagner has no steals while M. Fultz only had 1 assist.
But this game is far from over, they still have a 2nd half, they just have to play better to maybe surprise the Nuggets and break their win streak.

Clarkson is indeed playing like an all star, he is now a go to guy of the Jazz, even without Lauri Markkanen on the floor, the coaching staff are still choosing him to produce in crunch time because he is a clutch player. He dropped 38 points last night, that's a serious statement because it's against Embiid and Harden, actually, it looks like a batter between Harden and Clarkson, and see the level of Harden, he was a former MVP.

Jazz will miss the opportunity to have a player that will make the team better if they will let go of Clarkson, I guess he would stay if they will give him his desired range.
