1341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: August 11, 2023, 03:10:11 PM

And I guess it takes a champion to recognized a talent, like what Pacman was in his prime years. And now that he is retired, he might have somewhat see himself in the young Inoue that's why he appreciates what the Japanese has done and there are fans that compare the two even though it's too early to see what will happen to Inoue in the next 5-10 years.

If Casimero will get a fight, then good for him, he needs to be busy and just focus on his boxing career and then next year probably target a fight with Inoue or someone rank boxer to inch closer for a world title fight.

Casimero's journey to face Inoue might take longer because his ranking is not yet close to that of the champion. So, you are right; he still needs to fight more to become a strong contender. While Inoue might be occupied with his pursuit of becoming an undisputed champion, we never know whether he will remain in the division after achieving his goal or if he will move up again, leaving Casimero with no chance of fighting the Beast.

I don't quite agree with that because Casimero indeed have an upper hand to be chosen as Inoue's mandatory challenger regardless if Inoue's path towards undisputed fight will happen this year or not, in case you guys forgot, super bantam has no interim champions which means that the next person who have a title like Casimero for instance being the WBO Global champion give him more chances. The only reason why these two will never meet is if Inoue will climb the next weight class again, hopefully that will not happen soon though.
1342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 11, 2023, 02:55:39 PM
Perhaps some of the players, but when it comes to Howard, I believe they should not have let him go.

During the 2021-2022 season, Howard's salary with the Lakers exceeded $2 million. After his contract with the Lakers ended, he joined the Taoyuan Leopards, a team in Taiwan, for a salary of $1 million per season. However, recent reports indicate that his salary has been reduced by 65%. The question arises: why would he opt to play overseas when he can earn a substantial income in the NBA?

sources ;

https://hoopshype.com/player/dwight-howard/salary/
https://www.sportskeeda.com/basketball/news-dwight-howard-claims-contract-taoyuan-leopards-reduced-65

As I see it, there is only one reason why a player might leave the NBA to play in other leagues is the lack of demand for such a player by NBA teams. In Howard's case, he had multiple tryouts with different teams last off-season, and it looks like no one wanted him, even for the minimum salary. Personally, I think otherwise, and it seems to me that Howard can still play a couple more seasons in the NBA for the veteran minimum.

I believe that Howard is certainly a significant factor in the Lakers winning the championship during the pandemic.

In the playoffs against the Nuggets, whom they defeated in the WCF, Jokic's performance wasn't as remarkable as his stats during the NBA Finals against the Heat, where he averaged 30.2 PPG throughout the series. If we refer to this link, https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/nikola-jokic-stats-vs-lakers-2020-playoffs, his average was only 21.8 PPG.

Wow this is a good point. I never thought about it this way. I remember the 2020 finals vividly, especially because of the lockdowns, and you have a good point. But he is a rather interesting player. Born in 1985, drafted in 2004, it is going to be 20 years since he is drafted next summer. But I know he takes care of his body good. Doing serious yoga and eating healthy etc. He is still good physically and can contribute a lot in my opinion(although I don't exactly know how he is doing these days after Taiwan, but he must be ok). As you have pointed out, he can contribute to defense and overall hardness of the team. He can get another chance. He shouldn't have gone to Taiwan imo.

Not really comparable, IMO. Jokic at that time is not so ripe compared now where he have this good IQ to see what is needed for the team and knows how to utilize his height and reach to dominate the paint, that goes to show that he is now giving more hardships to any team that they face compared at the time where the Lakers won their championship with Dwight Howard being the center.
1343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 11, 2023, 02:28:47 PM
^^ Lol, I thought it is Jake Paul, but his younger who is going to fight. And same as what his brothers is doing, fighting another MMA artist in a stand up fight in boxing, so that they will have the advantage and most likely will win.

It's interesting that DAZN is carrying this fight, they will have to ride on the Paul brothers hype train in this exhibitions because this is business and there are a lot of money that is going to be made here.

Jake Paul cannot fight all the time, even though he holds a better record than his brother. However, both have already gained popularity, making it a lucrative opportunity for promoters, given that fans would unquestionably come to watch their fights. Even if they only fight once a year, they could still earn millions of dollars. This is in contrast to many other professional boxers who begin their careers from the ground up and only become popular after proving themselves by winning championships. The Paul brothers don't require that trajectory; their exhibition fights alone generate a substantial income for them.

As long as the fans are willing to buy their tickets because of what hype this brothers can bring, they will continue to do so and this is a potential another millions of dollars in the table for them and there opponents as well. That's why they can almost find fighters, whether ex-MMA or still beginning of their careers in UFC or not so famous fighters.

Because it's one of a lifetime opportunity to make a name for them and at the same time, been paid more than what they got if they are to compete in UFC. Like what Francis did to his career, Dana White is not offering him good money, then he switch and fight Tyson Fury for millions just in 1 fight alone.

That is a guaranteed $8 Million (PPV not included) and that is a very good money that Francis Ngannou can have after making a name in the UFC and now getting his career in the boxing industry, the thing is that this is not an exhibition fight that is why it is garnering many attention from the people around the world.

Just like Nate Diaz, it has been said that he got a whooping $20 Million from a fight against Jake Paul. And if this hype continues on their rematch, I would not be surprised if Jake Paul would take the deal even if it means that he will get defeated in an MMA fight.

Yes, I've read about that as well that Nate Diaz got that much and if I'm not mistaken, I think that is the biggest paycheck that Nate received in his whole career. Some even said that even if we combine what Nate received throughout his MMA career, this is still the biggest paycheck. That just shows that Jake Paul indeed knows how to make a fight and it's not surprising why DAZN is organizing it for them as it is indeed profitable on their side as well.

It is indeed the biggest Nate had, bigger than what he made his entire career in MMA.
Yeah so they're gonna be protecting this kid to remain unbeaten to gain consistent and increasing profit every time Jake steps into the ring. Nate on the other hand somehow deserved that money he's got after his long career in MMA. Though he's got pretty beaten with this fight, but hands down to his will to finish the fight. The guys real tough legend. It's just funny to see him like he's holding himself trying not to release a kick. His stance is really different than a pro boxer, and that made his punches like it doesn't have enough power to shake Jake Paul up.

Which kid are you referring to? Because if what you meant is Jake Paul, he already have a scathe in his record as he already lost a fight before he faced Nate Diaz in the ring.
And talking about Nate, yes, it is indeed kind of awkward to see him fighting in the ring because his brain will always suggest to use his legs that is why we can see him holding out and that is normal for a guy who spent his whole career in MMA, what we have witnessed is his muscle memory when it comes to fighting someone as that's what he is accustomed into.
1344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you have any methods to do it? on: August 10, 2023, 09:47:00 PM
I am in crypto for a few years and i have good knowledge of the crypto markets and their behavior. For the past few years, I am mostly invested in some top crypto project and held it till I get decent profits. You can say i am a holder. Now i want to try something different. I want to try day trading methods to generate a daily income from the spot market.

Is that even possible to earn 50$-100$ every day with spot trading? If yes then what methods you are using and how do you manage your risk?
I cannot give you the assurance to earn that certain amount within a day. First, the market is highly volatile, sometimes the price is up, sometimes it drops too low. So you can decide to keep day trading, but you can’t expect that it will always yield good profits. Even professional day traders lose at some point, which means day trading is not just all about how good you are as a trader, but it’s always like how often the market favor your trades. If you trade when the market is in a negative shape, probably your trades too will definitely be in bad shape, especially if luck is not on your side.
1345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: August 10, 2023, 08:58:14 PM
I knew that there's many topic like this in the past that asking advice about loaning for gambling. The intention of this thread is determined what's the actual feeling when you are using a loan money on gambling knowing that there's an interest rate on your borrowed money which means you already lose part of your money before you start gambling.

I saw many high rank users here that asking for loan and directly deposit the loan amount on gambling account. I want to know what's the experience on using loan money. Is there additional pressure on gameplay or just the same using regular money without an interest rate.
I bet you know the answer already but you just want to hear from the actual gamblers how risky and how stupid it is to gamble on the borrowed money. Only inexperienced gamblers do that since they are not completely aware that the moment they gamble, they’re already putting their money at a loss.

However, with luck at some point, gambling using loaned money might also end up being profitable but in most cases, gambling using other money will definitely end up losing them all plus you get to pay it’s annoying interest monthly.
1346  Economy / Economics / Re: New Research found Work from home workers to be less productive on: August 10, 2023, 03:56:06 PM
Well, working from home actually offers more convenience for workers. No need to wear formal attire and no need to travel and spend money and time. However, despite of its advantages, there are also some noted reasons why working from home become less efficient and less productive. There are these home life distractions that will lessen your focus on your job and as an outcome, your work becomes affected and compromised. Also, the fact that you are less monitored by your heads or supervisors, makes you more less motivated to your work and put your own job at a risk. Nonetheless, the things that I mentioned may not be applicable to all workers/employees since each of them has different working condition.
1347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can Bitcoin provide food for our table on: August 10, 2023, 03:02:30 PM
Whatever endeavor you have right now, as long as you consistently show passion and determination to succeed, eventually it will be given to you in due time. Same with bitcoin, no matter how people criticized it and even accused it as a scammer’s tool, the fact that you know its high potentials and you continue to embrace and work hard to achieve it, in the end you will reap what you sow. That certain success will be a big reason that you will be able to provide foods on the table and give your family a comfortable and healthy life. Although bitcoin may not be used as a currency in most countries, but if you convert it to fiat, its value is enough to make your life experience financial breakthrough.
1348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sudden Wealth Syndrome (SWS) In Gambling on: August 10, 2023, 09:42:59 AM
For now, being wealthy in the near future is still a dream for me. But if given a chance to become instantly wealthy, perhaps my first step is to plan out how to use my money wisely. Having an investment would be my top priority, and then buy my own house and lot for my family. And just gamble for fun, not certainly to earn an income.

My life will definitely change and I’m aware of that. But I think I won’t be affected with this Sudden Wealth Syndrome because becoming wealthy has already been set as my goal. Maybe for those people who are not expecting to be rich because they are satisfied with their present status, once they get into this, surely they will feel this SWS.
1349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 09, 2023, 09:59:27 PM
You are indeed right. Anonymity does not somehow a big issue at the moment since most of the casinos are actually requiring KYC most especially for big time players. Although there might be some few gambling casinos who are not into KYC verification, but I believe their system will definitely be updated and will require KYC sooner because that’s what the government requires them to do so.

However, there’s still some factors that we still become anonymous from others, but not from the casinos personal staffs. Maybe let’s just accept the reality that KYC will be compulsory in all centralized casinos all over the world. This is not only made out from the government wanting to control everything, but also for the sake of gamblers security and protection.
1350  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ~If you must trade~ on: August 09, 2023, 09:32:02 PM
Being emotional and being impatient in trading will only result in one thing, that is losing from your trades. So both should be managed well in trading, otherwise there’s no possible chances to win your trades.

Emotions are always the reasons why traders cannot completely focus to their trades. Once they are destructed and mentally bothered, then let’s assume that those trades will never be worthy and will never be successfully done.
1351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has nothing to do with crime on: August 09, 2023, 08:31:05 PM
Bitcoin is only a currency, so how can it promotes crime? If there is crime, it’s not the tool that should be blamed but the people who are directly involved in doing such crimes. And if crimes have increased, it’s not because of the privacy that bitcoin offers, but because of fiat that is used for fraud and money laundering. And it’s only now that bitcoin has been known and used as a currency, while fiat has been used the same, obviously longer than bitcoin exists.
1352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: August 09, 2023, 01:21:00 PM
It’s easy to win in gambling especially if you are more than lucky and have perfected some skills in gambling, but the real challenge is not simply to win but on how to save your profits out from your gambling winnings. That’s when financial management skills becomes crucial so that your profits will never go into waste by gambling it again and then lose instantly in the end.

Setting a budget on the amount you can afford to lose is the first step. If you don’t have spare cash to gamble, then wait for another chance. Gambling should always be an option, not a necessity. That should be your mindset so that you won’t lose a lot in gambling. And once you see profits from gambling, separate your profits from your spare cash. When you lose your cash, call it a day. Go home without worries.
1353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Peer pressure as a substantial gambling catalyst. on: August 09, 2023, 11:46:36 AM
Having peers around us that is into gambling may definitely influence us to gamble too most especially when we come to witness how they gained profits in an instant. Not just peers but even those we’ve seen gamblers online that are earning well, I must say they easily influence me too with how huge amount they are adding to their account. Let’s just say greed sometimes controls my decision, but who’s not greedy here when it comes to huge amount of winning profits?

However, despite of my passion in gambling that made me chase for greater earnings, I still manage to control my gambling activities until now, and that is because I still prioritize self-control and discipline rather than tolerating my urge in gambling.
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's safe to say - gambling is a guy thing. on: August 08, 2023, 11:48:11 PM
There has been any proof that gambling are actually a men thing. Because even women can actually do gambling if they wish to. However, let’s just say men are actually risk takers and quite adventurous than women, and they see things more differently like women. And when it comes to profit sourcing, men are actually good at it most particularly in gambling where most of the games are dominated by men. That’s why men are more vulnerable to gambling addiction because of their high sensation towards the effects of gambling.
1355  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Would you use AI trading assisting tools? on: August 08, 2023, 10:53:00 PM
AI trading tools has gained so much demand from the trading market these days most especially for those who aim to create shortcuts in trading like most newbies do. Well, I don’t see wrong in there and it’s actually an individual’s traders choice so if they find it more appealing and profitable on their part, then go trading using those AI tools. However, on my part, I’m not used in using trading bots even AI as I am more confident to trade using my own experience and expertise in trading. At least whenever I made mistakes, I learned how to correct them through my own efforts so I won’t be repeating the same mistakes again, and maybe expect a better trading results after that.
1356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 will determined bitcoin fate on: August 08, 2023, 09:45:50 PM
Not really sure about that. Just because bitcoin halving is near does not mean that it could be the best year for bitcoin. Bitcoin halving may bring a great positive impact to the market but know that it does not happen right after bitcoin halving has occur. If you trace the past bitcoin halving, the market only becomes bullish after a couple of months so if bitcoin halving may appear at the last quarter of 2024, then most likely 2025 will be the bullish year for bitcoin.
1357  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is copy trading a legit way of income for beginners or just a marketing tactic? on: August 08, 2023, 09:32:13 PM
Copy trading is legit if it comes from a reputable source. However, relying on it solely will never guarantee consistent earnings and can never secure a consistent income most especially for beginners. Although it’s one way to make trading quite easier and less hassle but when it comes to profitability, I cannot attest to that knowing it’s still best to trade based on your own knowledge and skills.
1358  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 08, 2023, 05:24:59 PM
Is it really important to be proud of yourself when you are a gambler? For me, I never hide from people the reality that I am a gambler but I also never tell them voluntarily that I am into constant gambling. For what? I am into gambling because I developed some passion on it and felt entertained when I gamble, and I’ve also seen how potential profits can be luckily won through gambling. But in the end, everything in gambling is just for fun for me, not necessarily to earn a living because I have also my own stable job. So no need to keep it as a secret, as a lot of adventurous people love to gamble at some point.
1359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: August 08, 2023, 04:57:52 PM
Blocking gambling ads might be a good option if you want to avoid being engaged in different online casinos. However, I don’t think that’s enough to keep you away from online gambling. You need to have an inner desire to quit gambling for good, and by having self-discipline and self-control over your urges to gamble, you will never fall seeing yourself gambling again. I believe this is not easy especially for addicted gamblers, but it could create a good start if you are serious to your intention.
1360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: August 07, 2023, 05:57:22 PM

As far as I can see it, only two things will happen;

1. FIFA learned their lesson and will not let these Muslim countries to host another FIFA event in the future
2. FIFA will still let these said countries to host an event given that they will flexible enough to accept that there might be some rules that needed to be bend

Either way, FIFA is still on the winning side because there are still many countries out there that can host an event successfully without having some problems. A country that is more open and can give freedom to the people that will flock to their country to watch the said event.
Qatar, Dubai or Saudi Arabia, these three countries are strong enough financially, so if any of these three countries wants to host the World Cup, then maybe FIFA should not stop them. In the last World Cup, we saw Qatar beat the United States to become the World Cup hosts themselves. But when Qatar was the host country in the last World Cup, as a Muslim country, they set some policies for foreign visitors. The Qatari government has made it clear that they cannot change their religion for one month, and FIFA supports their policy. I think not only Islamic countries but all other countries will never change their religion for a month and also change their laws.

Dubai is not a country mate, it's just an emirate or a state which belongs to the country of United Arab Emirates (UAE). Also, I said that it's either of the two things because of the struggles that a non-Muslim visitor could experience if a world cup will again be hosted by another Muslim country, financial power wasn't even discussed because there is no need for that as it is quite evident that these countries are rich.

Lastly, I haven't said anything that the Qatari government should change their religion for one month Grin I only said something about their rules so that it will be friendly enough to a non-Muslim visitor as it's almost safe to assume that 80% of people that will watch the event is non even a Muslim.
