2222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling scenario that keeps repeating on you on: August 12, 2023, 08:09:01 PM

Try changing your gambling scenario a little so that you can produce wins with smaller losses.

We just have to always take what we win the way we see it and keep to what works rather than trying to change to try to win over the house because that will not happen. Casinos are business ventures that require to make profit and pay taxes, so keep consistent with what works. To the scenerio shared by op, I know people who also complain of certain soccer odds, such bettors also avoid such odds when they see them at the bookies. It is just as op is complaining, so to play with what works for you is advised.
Well then what really works, I know many casinos players that are particular strategy would work out for them today and tomorrow it's absolutely goes off this is just an example, it's gambling and there is no perfect plan to it. I prefer experimenting all the time like trying new things it can help you discover more about how the game is played or how it works.

Well, while experimenting be sure to do that with insignificant money  Grin so that you will be fine at the end no matter the outcome of the games. Anyway, the reason I said what works is that we don't need to bother so much on the loses but focus on the gains when we have it. We need to understand is a game of chance and the owner is more in position to win more than the bettors.

2224  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: August 12, 2023, 06:09:01 PM
I was in argument with someone. His view is that people who gamble are those that what they have is not sufficient for them and so they try to make more money from gambling. He said if you have sufficient money to take care of your needs that you won't think of gambling. He made reference to some rich people, who don't gamble because they have sufficient money to even gift to charity but that those rich who still gamble are only addicted to it not just because of the money. Therefore, that the percentage of the rich gambling is very small compared to those in middle class and lower class.

So my question is, is the percentage of the rich gambling lower than the middle and lower class?
If we believe that such assumption can hold any argument then we will also believe that all gamblers are addicts since it the same level of assumption that make up for the misconceptions that everyone that gamble has financial needs that is why they gamble.

What about those that gamble just to while away free time or those that gamble on demo accounts that don't generate any rewards,  to me this is a big misunderstanding from the individual you mentioned here.

Of course we know that gambling on demo account is not regarded as gambling,bI think that can pass for a practice for the real substance which requires money and emotional attachment most times.

However, those who gamble just for leisure, can we really regard them as gambler? Like if you are a gambler then you are aiming for a reward both monetary or material wise, so that is the point whether people do gamble because they have financial craving that they want to double their money or they just gamble even though they have sufficient to take care of themselves and family.
2225  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: August 12, 2023, 03:01:46 PM
Will there ever be a way for people to invest in Stake? I think the growth of Stake and their investments into Kick.com make them an extremely attractive investment, but I don’t know if any way to get some skin in the game. Will there ever be a private placement investment program or maybe a way to invest in the bankroll?

I think there is a good logic and sense in this if stake would look into an investment package program, that will also attract more players to the casino and they will make more money from what they are already making. They could reduce the amount of reward on the investment and either increase the investment amount just to create a level of standard to the investment.
2226  Other / Politics & Society / Re: a slap on the faces of patriotic citizens on: August 12, 2023, 01:45:04 PM
In a real and ideal situation, those who criticize government are suppose to be those allowed to show what they have to offer because it may seem that they have better idea. I said ideal because assuming the system is not corrupt, so that they can genuinely offer something positive to growth of the country but the problem is when such person get into power or government and meet bad system, they eat their words and start doing the same thing that they have criticized or they are frustrated out of the system by those who are feeding from the corrupt system.
A vast majority of the problem lies in the system and just like you have said the action of the leader is mostly controlled by the system on the ground and most problems that we think are leadership problems are actually system problems and to start with, any country that you see it government losing legitimacy from the citizens such countries have one thing in common which are faulty constitutions weak institutions.

More also a lack of national developmental goals, all of which is what gave room to bad leadership since the system could be bastardized at will.

We have both identified that there is problem in leadership and this is especially in third world countinent although some of them have tried to put their system right like South Africa. But majority of the leaders in other countries don't want to cause a change to happen rather they want to keep benefitting from a bad situation, they rig themselves into power and want to subvert the constitution yet they don't want a military rule. They are civilian government in outlook but military in process and in their minds and because they have that military mentality to subjugate, they go after every of their critics that was not able to run to asylum and put them in jail without proper and public trier.
2227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: August 12, 2023, 01:13:59 PM

Even though gambling is quite different from trading, we cannot deby the fact that they have little similarities together in risk and loosing.

What similarities exactly apart from both being risky that you can lose your money which is normal with every other business. Gambling and trading is not the same thing in terms of purpose and principle. Gambling is based on luck and you can not stop a game that you are already losing to stop your lose. But traders can use a stop mechanism that they use to cut down lose. I think this is a big difference and not similarities because they are not driving through same principle.
2228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: August 12, 2023, 12:37:18 PM

I would like add another basic principle. A gamblers bank roll should not be in the hands of himself. It should be with someone who he knows and is confident about him. Most gamblers go into debt as they are controlling the bank roll. They do know what percentage they need to spend everyday but, would always exceed it. Another person handling the bank roll would stop him from exceeding the limit. This would in the long run would help him from getting into debt trap.

This is understandable but how is that going to be achieved is what the issue is. An infant giving his mum money that he was gifted by his uncle and going back to collect same money is possible and doable but the instance of an adult doing same may not be easy. Although some friend can keep his money with another friend so that he doesn't over spend on his bankroll but it is still not sustainable because that friend that is in custody of the friend's money is not mandated not to release the money at the threat of the owner. Or in the instance that the wife is in custody of the husband's bankroll and the husband keeps having loses while the family is largely in need of food stuffs.  Grin
2229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: August 11, 2023, 09:21:08 PM

I never join the sports betting group because I know that no one can predict any sport with 100% accuracy. I still do not know why people want to join such groups. Either they have no knowledge about the sports they want to bet on or they do not trust their analysis when it comes to choosing the team to bet on.

Sometimes knowledge comes by experience. If you have not experienced somethings you may not have knowledge about those things. We speak on it because we have probably tasted it and experience is the best teacher like they say it. However, desperation is the major reason that people join. A gambler who is desperate for a win will be eager to join any group on the advise of the friends but after they have tasted the water, they can discuss what happens there and share knowledge on the uncertainty of the winning rate of those groups.
2230  Other / Politics & Society / Re: a slap on the faces of patriotic citizens on: August 11, 2023, 07:34:59 PM

It is interesting how people from countries which are assumed to be rich can badmouth their own motherland, while at the same time there are waves of people trying to move there both legally and illegally.

Is like the feeling of something being better in your neigbhours compound because you are afar from it. However, no country is perfect and those citizens that feel bad about their country may have such feeling because of certain policy that they don't like. Like I have heard some people complain of US foreign policy and the drive to act as the watch dog of the world instead of utilizing such funds in the home. So this could be one area of criticism.
2231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: August 11, 2023, 07:23:21 PM

Most times it is not all about risk-taking. We all know that men take more risk than women, but this does not mean that women do not take risk at all. I have seen women who take tisk, but at least the take risk that can return reward. I mean a risk that is not that high but they are sure that they will have something in return. It is better to say that women do not like to lose money.
So in anything that they are not sure of they would likely not to venture into it. There is a difference between not being a risk-taker and not being ready to lose money. So, gambling is not all about risk-taking but all about losing money

I think that aspect where you said women don't like to lose money is just what will knock off women for not being risk takers in gambling. As far as gambling is concern, you have to be ready and prepared to lose money and this is where the male folks are considered better gamblers than women because from such high risk they take, they mostly win big than the female folks. When women hold tight to their money, they fear to stake higher and sometimes they back out but this is different with men because they are ready to lose money and when they are winning, the return is big.
2232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: August 11, 2023, 05:20:26 PM

It's very hard to win against the house even though in some cases you might be lucky but an annoying fact still stand and that's the fact that the money won will still always circle back to the house being victorious.

This the unfortunate thing about the gamblers journey. No real gambler runs off because they have won some huge money. They end up playing like an habit to play, like a business venture etc. So the house will keep getting some percentage of the winning back until the whole winning goes back to them. So if someone want to be a profitable gambler, it is better to immediately invest some part of the win you have gotten before you continue playing.
2233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: August 11, 2023, 03:15:37 PM
And I'm not going to talk about other people in this case, before I want to ask first, have you ever had the thought of continuing to play in order to pursue victory or restore defeat? I have, but it goes back to whether we are able to control it or not.
"Let's try again, let's try again" Lol, I've felt it but I can suppress it and return to logical thinking, so that I can prevent losing more than I lost in the past.
Oh yes, additionally, intention alone is not enough either, because it must be with action.

Let's try again is not strange to any gambler so you are not the first non will you be the last to use the word whether for positive result or negative result  Grin So it is something that is in the lips of gamblers who are losing. Those who lose always want to try another luck and they will keep losing until they either give up and run away with what is left or losing everything. This is a sign that you are drawing yourself closer to addiction when you can't accept losses to move on. A gambler who is not satisfied with losing will definitely fall for more losses .
2234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: August 11, 2023, 02:22:02 PM

If you have gotten to a stage of taking loan to gamble, then the addiction has gone far already, I don’t really know what push people to take loan just because they want to gamble, it’s a really bad behavior, that’s why if some people lose in gambling, they always end up committing suicide, because some of them took loan to gamble, and their is no way they can pay back the loan, so they believe their is nothing left for them and the only thing they can do is to commit suicide.

Nothing else will push a gambler to collect loan if they are not addicted and that is why when they lose they are frustrated to commit suicide most times depending on the value of the loan and there are no source of repayment.

If you play with your money and lose then the thought of commiting suicide won't come to your mind because you are the one who has the money, you can only feel bad and get over it after sometime but when your creditor threaten with all sort of problem including litigation to retrieve his money then those who see themselves as hopeless would want to go closer to bridge to take a dive into the sea or poison themselves.
2235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: August 11, 2023, 11:21:35 AM

Actually gambling using signature campaign payment is good because as you said signature campaign isn't stable income, so you're just gamble using a free money you make in this forum while the money you earn from job in real life already allocated for your monthly need.

You can plan yourself with the free money that come your way if you save and pragmatic or prudent in your spending. You don't have to gamble all your signature campaign earnings for the week and expect another next week. You can gamble some portion and save some and invest in some coins like bitcoin and that is the way to live responsibly because nothing last forever. Your side hussle may still turn to be your saviour if you plan very well and not to lavish it because it is called free money. Drops of water can gather together and fill a glass of water.
2236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Irresponsible behavior at the Las Vegas Casino on: August 11, 2023, 09:45:57 AM

Whole story cribs down to the direction of gamblers maintaining the ideology of gambling responsibly to avoid such... And stay away from drinking while gambling, both doesn't go hand in hand.

Well despite the drinking rule against casino, you will still see people who are drinking while in casono. It is a kind of attachment that is inseparable. First, offline casinos themselves have bars where people still relax with cool drinks so it is difficult to erase that attachment away. They say don't drink and drive but people still go ahead to do both, it is unfortunate.
2237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: August 11, 2023, 07:04:32 AM

The main problem of these groups is to find right group. The main part of them post random predictions and get money from the subscribers. They don`t care the results of their predictions.

They give excuses for failure while you have already subscribed. The excuses is for those games that they are able to predict rightly and they make you feel there are some that they were right. However, there is something about such paid groups, they avoid predicting more than one or two games per day or for sometime to avoid consistant failure. Which means they go for sure games that are already in public domain as a game that everyone is going for. Most times if they predict more games, it doesn't turn out good.

The same time, there are groups with true predictions, when the owner get percent from the winning. He is interested in the result of prediction but it is a problem to find such groups.

If it is a problem to find such groups, that means they may not be existing in the whole of the perfection of the prediction because it is still based on luck. It is actually difficult for someone to give out what source he makes easy money from just for a monthly subscription.
2238  Other / Off-topic / Re: The health benefits of Alcohol, Beers, Whisky and Red wines. on: August 10, 2023, 07:49:54 PM

* Drinking moderately can improve sexual function in men.

You will need to explain this more because I have not heard it that taking alcohol can help a man sexual performance. Rather what I have heard is that alcohol is likely not to help a man in sexual performance. I believe that we should do things in moderation because whatever we do excessively is an abuse and likely to demage our system. Those who are addicted to alcohol have not confirmed that help sexual performance rather I think what affects sexual performance is mostly age. You don't expect an older person man or woman to as active as a younger person.
2239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sudden Wealth Syndrome (SWS) In Gambling on: August 10, 2023, 07:26:19 PM
I haven't heard of this before, but that's certainly something to keep in mind if that ever happens. I guess the good thing is that is a person's wealthy and experiences these symptoms, it's totally affordable to go to therapy and work through this. I've never won life-changing amounts of money, so I haven't experienced that, but it certainly should not be disregarded, and it's better to plan ahead for it. It's kind of like the midlife crisis. You don't know if you are to experience it, but it's better to be aware of that in advance, so that it's not unexpected.

I have heard of it and I know what it is and I know that people do experience it but I have not. I think it is what will happen to a man at least once in his life time. I can relate it to opportunity come but once and one is expected to make use of such opportunity of huge amount of money presented to him either in lottery or winning a bet. However, we don't need to allow our life to be stagnant in expectation of making it or hitting the jackpot one day, we have to keep moving in our endeavor so that if such opportunity comes, it will become an added advantage and if it doesn't come, we are still good.
2240  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is bitcoin a legal tender or not. Why? on: August 10, 2023, 06:23:04 PM

To clear the air about the whole argument I considered I should share this in the forum to have a clear stand if bitcoin is a legal tender or not.

The debate about the legality of bitcoin is jurisdiction based. That is it depends on the country that you are pointing to or referring to. So it can not be generalized.

For example you can say bitcoin is a legal tender in El Salvador because it is the country known so far to all that has declared it and backed it by their law as legal tender, that means it use can not be rejected by someone in El Salvador for not being a legal tender. But we can't say because it is legal tender in El Salvador therefore it is a legal tender some where else when they have not made it a law as legal tender.
