actually it's great to use the Tron network as a solution to avoid fluctuating crypto prices and those worries.
to be honest until recently i am only used USDT on the ETH network. even though the transaction fee is very expensive but for me it is the best so that when playing gambling, i don't have to worry anymore and focus on playing gambling.

looks like i should try your suggestion like using Tron network to avoid when ETH network is congested. to be honest i never use Tron network  Grin
Wow, if you use USDT on the ETH network, I wonder how much transaction fees you have to pay because, as far as I know, the fees are very high. Or has the cost dropped drastically?

I've never used USDT on the ETH network because I switched to BTC or USDT on the TRX network since the gas costs went up. It saves me saving on gas fees or transaction fees. Well, those are probably the ways we have done before playing gambling and sending some money to play gambling.

just checked etherscan and you can see some stablecoin transfers for 1.45 usd
https://etherscan.io/tx/0x297e5ada9b084bb782cff37fca89b36f7da571d5f1ac89bfcb6dc65136bae6d4

not sure if you think this is expensive or cheap
of course it's more expensive than Tron or something like that... but still, looks fine

maybe it wasn't that much, but would be nice to look at the data

it was the series that really motivated me to learn more about chess theory and technique and to play more often
same thing for some of my friends

but would love to check online chess websites number of users over time to try to see if there are any correlations
I have learnt a very important lesson from Queen Gambit. And that is you fight your own battle be it your personal life, professional life.
And money is crazy thing - it makes relationship stones hearted and you lose them when you lose money.

Not a bad idea to separate friends from money  Roll Eyes

the series has some details about money and all but imo is not really about it
way more about the main character fight over herself and improvement trajectory

...and for myself, i've also been gambling using stable coins to avoid these worries.

And what is your token and blockchain of preference?
Because when Ethereum network is congestioned it may be a bit taxing to deposit to casinos, specially if one's dealing with relatively small amounts.  I personally prefer to use Tron network when dealing with stablecoins, because the fees are low,I personally have not had any experience with Binance chain or BUSD, for example.

those who want to go with low fees and fast transactions would usually prefer tron, bsc, litecoin or doge

even though nowadays seems like non-EVM based crypto is a bit out of the loop, they're way less used than before.

So this year's candidates, Nepo actually won again and he will be facing Magnus for the 2nd time! What are your thoughts on this?

I see that on the chess community, a lot of people are upset that Nepo won. Maybe this is due to the fact that they wanted to see a new opponent facing Magnus since Nepo got destroyed last year after he crumbled from his loss on Game 6 of their match on 2020 WCC. Do you guys think that Magnus will participate in this year's candidates despite him telling not to?

I have no idea on how Magnus think so I think we'll have to wait to see if he will participate
but nice for Nepo to have a second chance.
let's see.

what do you think?

I am sorry to say that you are late of 2 weeks of time Sad.

Every week, you must check both this thread and spreadsheet for updates.
1. In this thread, manager will update about new signature and any changes in campaign.
2. In sheet, manager will add any remarks on your performance.

(I have seen Hhampuz emphasized this many times; so I took this as an opportunity to summarize).

I do check the spreadsheet every week but for some reason didn't see this message here
I usually see it, not sure if I refreshed and it went behind, so catching up now.
thanks for the reminder, may be useful for new folks too

I agree, people think that you need to show proof of your birth certificate or something to play, it is a simple verification that you pass and its fine. I guess it is the fear that one day yo ucould be asked and this could have some governmental backing that will put you in trouble that makes them stay away from the place. I am fine with it because for me it is not illegal, I mean it technically could be, but I am not playing with "real" money based on our laws, hence it is not technically gambling. Laws here see this place, same as playing those slot games on your phone with game tokens, hence I am not worried about KYC anymore, I disliked even hated the decision to ask it, but I got used to it.

there are many minors who are playing and for this reason they do not like KYC, there are many people who do not have their own home and who are still at their parents' house even though they are minors and for this reason there is no way to deliver proof of residence because the water, electricity and internet bill is not in their name, there are many people who are afraid to hand over their passport on a strange website. That's why KYC is a big headache for most people, especially when we know that many casinos have anonymous owners so it wouldn't be fair for an anonymous casino to ask their customers for KYC.
The good thing about asking for a birth certificate or proof of service is to make sure of that, that it is not children who are in front of the PC, lately the world has been in a very digital axis, children have more access to internet tools, perhaps the pandemic has brought you to this world, although this means that we are in a process of protecting children, it is something that we all must sometimes accept for the common good, in my personal opinion, I have seen many programs where they deceive children, they end up being extorted, raped and sometimes killed, I prefer to give a KYC if this helps to avoid all this type of events, if we see it from that point of view, I know that many could make the exception.

the point is KYC don't help any of these bad things to stop happening since people can just buy fake documents and find a way to fake KYC (even paying someone else to do it for them)
what it does is create a parallel market that incentives fraud

At least it has something to do with what is being discussed, including the promotion of Duelbits. People are talking about how effective Duelbits is at running such promotions on Twitter and discussing some of the games available in its casino.
We don't have data to analyze it, only the Duelbits internal team have it.

From tip of iceberg, from what we see, they run promotion continuously and it requires big budget. I believe they get good effects, good results, and good income from promotion by acquiring more new users, getting more bets from current users. If they don't have good income from users, they can not have profit and budget to run it months to months.

would be really nice to be able to check the data into costumer retention, churn rates, and if revenue comes more from new costumer or existing ones.
I know this is internal data and probably won't be shared

but we have all the signals that Duelbits is a healthy business that will thrive for long many years to come if things stay like that.

2256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: July 06, 2022, 03:45:36 PM
If the price of Bitcoin goes down, gamblers will get less money from their gambling than specified bets? The answer is no because they get btc according to their betting odds. However, if a gambler hold his deposited money or collected money in the form of BTC for betting in his wallet, then some of his money will be reduce for the price volatility of BTC. But if not, there is no possibility of any kind of effect on gamblers.

that's a good analysis and breaks the thinking well

understanding incentives is a must to figure out why some things end up happening the way they do.
good one

<...>

@alegotardo = faltam 252 merits p/ chegar em Legendary

Legendary:   Activity: the Legendary membergroup has no universal activity requirement.
You are guaranteed to become Legendary somewhere between 775 and 1030 activity,
but the exact point in this range at which you become Legendary is random per user.
Gets 5 gold coins under his name of which the last is half dark blue.

what about collective creations, when more than one person creates the same artwork? this should be ok, right?
I don't really see any issues here.

As long as the artwork is original and is composed or conceptualize by you and your colleagues -- that's fine. However, you will be the one responsible distributing the rewards among your friends since they are involved who put an effort in making the artwork materialize.

Just don't commit plagiarism/artwork stealing -- there is nothing to worry about. Goodluck.

yes, totally
I don't see a big problem on it

of course, collaborators will have to trust the receiver of the prize so they don't get stolen but should be fine with friends and honest people

plagiarism is the worst
Roobet Art contest has been running for years now and so far everything works fine, every contest participants are becoming more creative and with this collaboration I think its fine as long as you do follow the rules. The art contest has been significant with Roobet, this is very effective for them and I believe we should all participate on this and have a good art competition.

yes, I remember seeing it and even joining long time ago
good to see that they keep doing it and reinventing themselves

always happy to see companies that remember the forum and use it in a good way.
2260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: July 05, 2022, 04:47:12 PM
I remember in the last bear market the signature campaigns here even stopped.
BTC paid signatures? I honestly don't remember when this happened, was it in late 2019 or early 2020?

Gamblers also suffer on market crash, there are some crypto gambling platforms that accept crypto but doesn't convert its value to $ value. While market price declines, we have to bet higher coin amounts for same payout. This is huge trouble especially when market goes down %60 and gamblers have to cover market losses before withdrawal on wining streak.
If that's the case for crypto gamblers, maybe they're better off leaving gambling for a while and saving their coins by just holding on to them. I guess it will be good for gamblers than them losing more of their coins on gambling either in value for money or in amount. But if they haven't been able to leave gambling, maybe they can convert their coins into stable coins, and then they can deposit them to a casino that accepts stable coins to gamble so they can continue gambling.
the main reason why today many gambling sites provide deposit and wd options with stablecoins is so that those who are afraid of price volatility on BTC or ETH can use stable coins as a choice. so that there are still a lot of people playing on crypto gambling sites.

sorry they didn't stop completely but it was much harder to find a good campaign (or maybe it was just me... could be)
in 2018 it was the hardest year if my memory is correct.

now it's golden times compared to the past, way more campaigns regardless of market conditions
