2262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RED] REDCOIN - With bonus blocks and super blocks [OFFICIAL LAUNCH] on: July 05, 2013, 02:20:17 AM
i have someone with 25mh on the pool atm,. I dont mind high hashers after all why not they own the miners, What i mind is people manipulating the coin while using my pool. If anyone wants to do that, then they can go solo or to another pool. In the long run i dont want no one saying to me you allowed ur pool to go over 51% or did this or that.etc
2263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Pool Op's have a choice on who mines on their pool and how? on: July 05, 2013, 02:12:17 AM
I'm on the side of pool ops shouldn't manipulate the pool. Understood diff jumping is a problem but isn't it the responsibility of the dev team to ensure their coin has proper diff recalculation to avoid the issue altogether? PXC and FTC devs dropped the blocks between retarget down and set max diff % changes which has been a pretty solid solution. Other altcoins have come up with similar solutions too.

If pool ops don't like how miners behave when mining certain alts, don't host a pool for that alt until the devs fix the coin ^_^
i can agree with you there, but still wouldnt you prefer a pool that attempts to look after youre coins, rather than one which says lets just leave all the problems for everyone else, if the price falls or it 51% or theres a double spend bug its not my fault im an op, not a coder
2264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RED] REDCOIN - With bonus blocks and super blocks [OFFICIAL LAUNCH] on: July 05, 2013, 01:47:20 AM
how much, it can go towards the pool float for pps
2265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Pool Op's have a choice on who mines on their pool and how? on: July 05, 2013, 01:45:13 AM
yes but im not running pplns im running prop. agreed lyno but atleast if their doing is single handedly soloing its off my chest that i helped to raise the difficulty sky high. Ask erundook the number of times i bashed him for having over 51% the network hash and supposedly stopping people from finding blocks
2266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RED] REDCOIN - With bonus blocks and super blocks [OFFICIAL LAUNCH] on: July 05, 2013, 01:43:03 AM
yeah they have been, only the redcoin pool is running right now. Try coming over to the mcxnow exchange and ask about me, theyll tell you themselves the effort i put into making them

No. You whine about your money being wasted on a pool, yet think it's ok to mess with other peoples money and put the donation to 100% whenever you feel they aren't making you enough or mining the way you want them to? Get the fuck out of here

You my friend need to learn the difference between stopping people from killing a coin and stopping people from doing anything because i can. If i was after the money i could mess with everyones donation settings which ive not done. Youre also forgetting for the first 100 blocks after the downtime i gave away 5k redcoins out of MY pocket
2267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RED] REDCOIN - With bonus blocks and super blocks [OFFICIAL LAUNCH] on: July 05, 2013, 01:41:10 AM
HA who said im fucking with people's money. Im fucking with the people who are fucking with everyone elses money, not mine. I barely get a dime from the pools. My intentions were purely to ensure the long life of the coin,
2268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Pool Op's have a choice on who mines on their pool and how? on: July 05, 2013, 01:39:20 AM
im not expecting pity, Im expecting to use my own brain to ensure that a coin does not get fucked over by idiots who only care about the money they earn and not about the coins. Those type of people which im sure includes you shouldnt be in crypto. I enforce the hopping rule, to protect the pool and the life of the coin. Period
2269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Pool Op's have a choice on who mines on their pool and how? on: July 05, 2013, 01:34:05 AM
LOL, how about you go, make a pool and then tell me the effort it take to make, run and maintain all the pools
2270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Pool Op's have a choice on who mines on their pool and how? on: July 05, 2013, 01:31:07 AM
actually uve misunderstood theres a big difference. on my pool login and look at the miners theres one guy with 25mh im letting him stay. why? because he doesnt jump at the sign of the next diff change. some people do and they end up killing the coin, i dont want people like that on my pool end of story
2271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RED] REDCOIN - With bonus blocks and super blocks [OFFICIAL LAUNCH] on: July 05, 2013, 01:29:36 AM

I personally think they should, but ive talked to many other pool ops, and the overall opinion is it is a thankless job. Until a coin is killed, people complain about rules set on pools such as to stop hoppers, Then when a coin is killed or has a diff too high to mine, they moan about it then aswell

EDIT: on my pool i enforce thepart about high hash miner making the coin impossible to mine then leaving. in 3 steps
1. Email sent to hopper(no reply expected)
2.Second email if it happens again(Account Locked until reply is recieved)
3. Third email if it happens after that expecting a reply on whether they want to stop or leave the pool withdrawing their funds(if no reply delete miners or change donation and give that away to the miners)
2273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Should Pool Op's have a choice on who mines on their pool and how? on: July 05, 2013, 01:09:59 AM
Should pool ops be able to have a say on who mines on their pool when:

People mine then raise the diff high enough to kill the coin
People are putting all their hash into one pool resulting in the possibility of a 51%
People manipulating the pool and errors inside

EDIT: think about this before you vote, if someone used the double spend bug, im sure youd be unhappy if you lost money, time and effort if the pool op wasnt able to compensate, So wouldnt a pool op feel the same when someone is using their pool to abuse a coin and their time and effort is lost with the destroyed coin?
2274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RED] REDCOIN - With bonus blocks and super blocks [OFFICIAL LAUNCH] on: July 05, 2013, 01:07:52 AM
actually seeing as im currently the operator of the only pool atm, and the official redcoin pool coming tomorrow. Im pretty sure i can have a saw on whos killing my pool, my money and the work ive put effort into. Ask any pool op and they shall tell you it is a thankless job. Us pool ops get barely anything in fees, yet we put the time into making well made stable pools, and constantly finding ways to improve it. Im pretty sure if i had enough power to kill the diff on any coins u own, resulting in u losing a lot of money, you wouldnt be happy.

Personally pool op's have the right to say who mines at their pool and how.
2275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RED] REDCOIN - With bonus blocks and super blocks [OFFICIAL LAUNCH] on: July 05, 2013, 12:56:35 AM
nope thats hazard's terrotory with weedcoin and the other chav coins(vagina coin)
2276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RED] REDCOIN - With bonus blocks and super blocks [OFFICIAL LAUNCH] on: July 05, 2013, 12:49:43 AM
sorry about that impression but its neccesary, Before the pool ran into problems me and a few other pool ops were discussing this as i was in the same position, Some people, Mr Lam as an example came to the pool, mined like crazy. took the diff sky high then left, causing problems until the diff returns to normal. And as stated there its a 3 step process, It will only be done as a final resort. Im pretty sure, if you had all your earnings into a coin and then someone killed the high diff, you would be gutted due to losing a lot of money. I was in the same position with mincoin so i know what it feels like and dont want that to happen again. The highest hasher on my pool has 25MH although i dont plan on kicking him off because i know he stays when the diff rises, so it doesnt affect the coin as much.

So end of rant, feel free to solo mine, the notice is there mainly as a warning, But in the extreme cases may be used.
2277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RED] REDCOIN - With bonus blocks and super blocks [OFFICIAL LAUNCH] on: July 05, 2013, 12:26:30 AM
26MH on the pool. normally id kick the high hashrate users of the pool to balance the hashate. but another server is in progress for miners. Also redcoin needs as much power as possible Smiley
2278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RED] REDCOIN - With bonus blocks and super blocks [OFFICIAL LAUNCH] on: July 05, 2013, 12:03:37 AM
