sure
EDIT: I managed to build the merged mining daemon off an old version of the client, going to update the checkpoints and everything and then release it

Your Welcome no negative replies so far, compiling my client now and sticking it on the test network
currently in the client im building its set to 20k to allow for any increases in hashrate or delays in testing

good replies so far, would any of u guys be willing to host some bytecoin testnet nodes with the new client so i can mine and test the network?

Right, as many people know i've been planning on working on fixing bytecoin by implementing a merged mining patch. As i can see im almost ready and will put it on testnet in a day or 2. I also have a pool ready which will have merged mining on the backend but i will auto-exchange daily and double up the block reward. Now here comes you're part:
I would like people's opinion on the following: 1) The Merged Mining Patch 2) Changing the retarget structure so it retargets more frequently, (every 30 mins?) 3) When to hard fork?

i'll be bringing a either a prop dedicated 0 fee i0coin pool up in a day or 2 or a 2% fee PPS i0coin pool
you would need to modify stratum to use the quark algo if u wish to use that

I've setup many pools before but I can't get my SRC pool working, I'm using mmcfe with stratum. Stratum connects to the wallet and detects new blocks, the CPU miners connect to stratum and also detect new blocks but I haven't found one share with over 3000 kh/s pointed at my stratum.
I've tried setting POOL_TARGET (base difficulty) to 1 instead of 16 in my stratum config but I haven't seen any changes, am I missing something?
EDIT - ok from all the reading I've been doing it looks like a customised stratum is needed, what sort of changes need to be made? Is the custom stratum available for others to run a pool?
Hi - you probably setting up to high difficulty - try to set it up to 0.1 for example incorrect, visit my github name is ahmed_bodi, both me and erundook are using my customized version of pushpool. All it basically is, is tenebrix pushpool with the scrypt modules replaces wfor quark one's and appropriate hash values changed

great, expect the old pool coming back online for balance withdrawals soon aswell as opening back up for PPS
Back on topic, one thing I forgot to add was a gradual rise to required block reward if a high diff isn't used
BTE although a pool would kinda be pointless atm since were doing all the tests on the network soon
Actually I highly disagree since it happened to me. And the old god thread can be checked to confirm it
disagree with GLD. especially when it was linked to a wallet stealer. But anyways. What is needed for a successful coin imo? Around 1 min block time's, consistent profitability but also rarity. Good Community, Active dev team

As much as im helping my competion, I have to disagree with your post entirely. I had the same problem occour to one of my previous servers at a datacentre, I also had a crashed ec2 server which just failed to start. You should give him a chance. Lollaskate if ur around, return their coins even if it costs you, not worth losing ur rep over

right, my pool is back online too.was an IP change
Right, heres the deal, im looking for someone who's a pro with github to join the dev team, anyone interested plz contact me or Digigami. Anyways in other news, the patch is ready it just needs applying to the client which is what the github bro is wanted for . Secondly we have a nice stable pool almost ready, just making the finishing touches. this will be a stratum Avalon and other ASIC friendly Pool PROP with 0 fees

there is no reason to add cloudcoin so i can reckon you should get off your high horse kujmandosz. Anyways back on topic. please could you add Bytecoin, ill be sure to get all the community members and members of the dev team to request it too

right, got an update, the PSU or Mobo on the web server is fried, but the stratum, db and daemon server is online so u can mine if u like, you just wont see it till the web frontend is back online. i might if possible be able to swap the hard drive into another server and bring it online later today

it looks like someone's DDOS'd me i think
