1302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Official ADT mining pool is now open on: October 08, 2013, 02:48:25 AM
According to messages sent to me by zack this pool is broken and will be closing down without fixing the payout issue. he is also unwilling to provide the whole block reward to users for the stuck block and all following unaccounted blocks so users beware. proof will be posted here if needed. i offered to fix the bug and update the frontend where this shouldnt happen for 2 btc even if it meant going through the database for a few 100 blocks manually. he denied the offer and stated that i was a scammer and so would be closing his pool shortly
1303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to solo-mine on: October 02, 2013, 07:32:06 PM
working on moving the site to the new server now. almost done so the bug will get fixed. but just login and it will work fine
1304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bytecoin|BTE| Official Re-Launch of this 1:1 Bitcoin Coin! on: October 02, 2013, 06:13:27 PM
agreed there. erundook mentioned a bug in the bytecoin client which seems to have come from upstream. now that we have the bytecoin site up ill release a new client with working nodes built directly into the client
1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Bytecoin facebook page on: October 01, 2013, 09:28:32 AM
ill setup a pool on the official website when its up and a block explorer too PPS too
1306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a good time to buy bytecoin on: October 01, 2013, 09:28:02 AM
sure you and coretechs are considered part of the bytcoin dev team anyway Cheesy but yeah i dont mind. i think we can wait 1 or 2 more retargets and see how it levels out. diff will go sky high with bitparking on the coin but atleast itll be stable enough to be used as a currency
1307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTE Bytecoin reliable node on: October 01, 2013, 09:07:25 AM
Just to inform the community, this is a reliable node iP to load updated blockchain on your BTE Bytecoin client:
72.230.168.189

just add this line in you your bytecoin.conf file (located at %appdata%\Bytecoin\ )

addnode=72.230.168.189

save the bytecoin.conf file and reload the BTE client; and you will see the client to load (otherwise, will not work at all).

An interesting development.  Does the "updated blockchain" have anything to do with the proposal by ahmed_bodi and his confederates to fork the blockchain and add Bytecoin as a merged-mined coin to bitparking.com?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=292381

Recent increases on the BTE blockchain suggest that someone may have pointed an ASIC at the coin again:

1) Until 9-14 block production had been averaging around 3-4 blocks a day. The difficulty had been pegged at 35k for months since a similar attack started on 5-6.

2) Starting with block 18839 on 9-14, block production started rising eventually reaching several hundred blocks a day.

3) Starting at block 20160 on 9-29, difficulty sudden dropped to 8.9k and block production continued apace.

4) Today at block 22176, difficulity suddenly went back to 35k.

I suspect some kind of manipulation with the blockchain, but can't verify.  Anyone have an idea what's going on? Above data can be verified at:

bte.cryptocoinexplorer.com

PS: After the flurry of recent traffic started, I've had no trouble keeping 8 connections in my client with no "addnodes" in the conf file.

tghere wasnt any manipulation both mine and dsyncs pool accounted for 1.5th of the nethash which resulted in the above results we. there was like 20 of us in IRC counting down till the diff change
1308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTE Bytecoin reliable node on: October 01, 2013, 09:05:06 AM
theres been a pool running at bte.crypto-expert.com dsync and coinex. secondly OP plz could you add the line dnsseed=1 to your config file and restart. ill be rebasing bytecoin on the latest 0.8.5 base so will need 1 more dns seed other than my pool.

Ahmed
1309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a good time to buy bytecoin on: October 01, 2013, 08:51:53 AM
exactly and the hashrate dropped from 1.5th after the second retarget. i held off the patch just to prove a point. its going to be a reptitive process. people will mine between the low diff blocks like terracoin then dissapear during the high diff blocks. its basically being used the same way terracoin is. imo thats why the merged mining patch is needed. so it can gain some consistent hashrate
1310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bytecoin|BTE| Official Re-Launch of this 1:1 Bitcoin Coin! on: September 30, 2013, 09:56:01 AM
i hope not. but atleast it gives us something to compare with for the merged mining patch
1311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to solo-mine on: September 29, 2013, 09:32:21 PM

1313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OPEN! ANN! ByteCoin Merged Mining complete!Pool Testers Wanted! OPEN! on: September 29, 2013, 06:35:30 PM
just bytecoin atm. I changed my idea. Im going to hold off till this retarget and view the net hash. more than likely its going to drop off again. But i am going to be implementing merged mining into the pool. Just gradually so dw Cheesy
1314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OPEN! ANN! ByteCoin Merged Mining complete!Pool Testers Wanted! OPEN! on: September 29, 2013, 05:43:49 PM
